They were straightforward, easy to work with, and didn't give me the runaround. They also didn't pressure me into anything I didn't want to do. Many reviews here cite lack of transparency as a problem, and I can confirm that was aligned with my experience. I had requested to work with a woman salesperson and they initially told me that they did not employ any women salespeople (big yikes). Someone called me back and connected me with Onika, who was brought in from Chevvy to work with us. Onika was great, 5 stars. She was kind, informative, and really, she was the reason why we were open to negotiating. We test drove an Ioniq 5 and felt great negotiating with Onika. Despite asking to work with Onika, we were then presented with Brian who for some reason decided to insert himself into the sale, likely because Onika is from Chevvy. Brian had the audacity to laugh at me when I told him that I had an 830 credit score. He ran it, and it was higher than what I told him. When I addressed it, he said that he ~didn't think it could possibly be that high.~ I found his behavior both unfortunate and unsurprising. Of course the dealership that employs no women salespeople will laugh at at woman buyer who has nearly perfect credit, while at the same time, expecting our money. Of course. Brian also withheld that the lease was for 7,500 miles yearly, not the 10,000 that I was quoted in the deal I came in for. By the time I asked the question the deal had already been negotiated, they withheld that change from the original quote I was given from Harbor. Brought in my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe for a diagnostics test as the engine light would go on and off, while also hear the engine making noises. I was welcomed by Jesus from the service department. I thought I was coming in for a simple check. Jesus came out and notified me I'd need a new engine in the car. Jesus assured me that from the problem the car was having that the warranty would cover the engine replacement. He ended up calling me and telling me the approval from Hyundai was good to replace the engine. The engine had 105k miles on it. Two weeks later I have my SUV back and with a brand new engine in it. The warranty covered everything. Jesus also provided a loaner car for my family. I can't tell you how much I and other families out there appreciate this kind of customer service. This is something that rarely exists anymore. I paid around 380 dollars for new hoses to be added with the new engine. It would've been detrimental to my family and I if I had to look at purchasing a new engine or looking for a new car. I had no bad experience here. I had an absolutely terrible experience with this dealership, and I strongly recommend avoiding them. I was misled during the financing process by Gianni and pressured into signing paperwork without being given clear, honest explanations. After the sale, I learned that key information about my financing options was either withheld or misrepresented, and when I tried to address it, Gianni was dismissive and unhelpful. I asked him 3 times that something didn't look right and all 3 times he pretended to fix the numbers. He then finally printed it sealed it in an envelope and sent me on my way believing that it all was fixed! In short the price agreed on the vehicle was $23,000 after looking it over I was charged 25,800 that's $2,800 more then initially agreed on. On top of that they told me finance percentage would be at 4.3% when in fact it was given to me 7.8%!! Gianni in finance is a crook! Once the deal was done, their attitude completely changed. Calls were not returned, questions were brushed off, and I was made to feel like the problem for simply asking for clarification. This dealership seems far more interested in closing a deal than treating customers with basic honesty and respect. Buying a car is a major purchase, and trust matters. Buyer Beware! Unethical and dismissive. Think twice before buying here. My husband and I found a vehicle online on a third party website (edmunds) and also on their Hyundai website. We called and spoke to James, who was the only decent thing in this whole process. We negotiated a price over the phone after they confirmed the vehicle was available, placed a deposit over the phone and agreed that we would come the next morning (all the way from San Diego) to finish the transaction pending test drive. We got a phone call the next morning moments before leaving and they told us the car was "not on the lot" and that they weren't sure where the car was. They told us they would call us back in a couple hours to see if they could locate the car, thinking the GM may have taken it. Four hours later, they said they did not know how long it would take to get the car back, but that the GM had lent it out to someone and "forgot" to tell the staff to remove it from the listings. After speaking to Alfredo the sales manager at how frustrated we were (seeing as we had already taken a loan out to pay for the car and were incurring interest) he offered another vehicle that was not comparable. He then told us that they would likely get the car back by Wednesday (4 days later). We decided we would wait until they had the car back and they OFFERED to deliver it to us in San Diego since my husband is a First Responder and couldn't get the time off again to drive all the way up to Long Beach. They called us Wednesday and said that the vehicle had been retrieved and was in fact on the lot; however it was discovered that it had an additional 5,000 miles on it than what was and (STILL IS) advertised. The GM never called us, never tried to make it right and never apologized for the HUGE inconvenience and loos of money he has caused our family. We told them we would need to renegotiate the deal based on the additional mileage put on the vehicle. The sales Manager Alfredo said that he couldn't drop the price and furthermore, they were not going to deliver the vehicle to us. I have never experienced such flippancy and disregard for a customer...someone willing to pay cash for a vehicle and a first responder. We will be reporting them to the BBB and reaching out to corporate, as we feel that no customer should ever experience lack of transparency, ownership and shady business practices such as loaning out cars that are currently listed for sale; not to mention not feeling the need to update their listings except to drop the price. CONTACTED SALES MANAGER MATT HIBBEN OF THIS DEALERSHIP MANY TIMES NO RESPONSE I bought a 2025 Elantra Hybrid from this dealership on 11/29 and was told my California DMV registration would arrive in 3-4 weeks. It has now been well over that timeframe, and the way this dealership has handled it has been completely unprofessional. I have been actively trying to follow up with them. Last Thursday, I contacted them and was told the person handling DMV paperwork was "sick" and to call back the next day. When I did, I was told to leave a voicemail and that she would return my call, she never did. The following day, I finally reached a manager, who took all my information and promised to call me back within 30 minutes. HE NEVER CALLED. I called again, spoke to another employee, and was again told someone would follow up, but no one ever did. I don't understand what their issue is, but at the very least, they should communicate. Even a simple update saying paperwork is delayed or incomplete would be better than complete silence. Instead, it feels like once the sale was done and the money was paid, they stopped caring entirely. Between the lack of communication, broken promises, DMV registration delays, and financing discrepancies, this dealership has shown a complete lack of professionalism. First things first they force you to purchase warranty. So even if the listed pretax price is $x it will not be the pretax price you will pay because they will force you to buy warranty which is literally illegal. After receiving our first quote we left the dealership. We received a secondary quote over the phone and then confirmed via email. When we got in the next week, the manager or finance guy, slimy guy named Leonard tried to add on even more warranties and told us he isn't sure if he can honor the price that we had in writing from them. He said because even if the form was signed by them, because it didn't have our signature on it, it was not a valid offer. Went to this dealership on black Friday at noon with the intention of trading in my old car, and financing a new hyundai santa fe hybrid calligraphy. I wanted to be in and out and Miguel V. was able to show me ALL the variations of santa fes and then was able to get me the exact one that I wanted. I am trying to return my lease and when I called up the first thing they asked me was if I leased the car there. The answer was yes. Then they told me they have to check if they have space. I got a call back and they said that there was no space for me to return it. I don't understand, I kept hearing leasing was easy and returning the vehicles was worry free. I kept the mileage low with no chargeable damage, I did the AIM lease inspection and now the dealership is telling me I can't bring it back to them. Brought my Ioniq 5 in for scheduled service this morning. Appointment was for 9:45am and I arrived at 10am (my bad). I was told that the car would be ready at 12pm, as it only needed tire rotation and balancing. I asked that the brakes be checked because they were squeaking, and that they check my left front and back tires because both have slow leaks. 12 rolled around, then 12:15. At 12:15, since no one had come to check in with me, I went to my service manager Manuel and he said the car would be ready in an hour. At 1:15 nobody had checked in with me, so I went back to the service desk and asked how long it would be. Manuel said "They're working on it now" and walked away. At 2pm I went back up to the desk and was told that the car was ready. I asked Manuel why it had taken four hours to do a rotation and balance and he said in an irritated tone "because the technicians are busy!" There was no mention of the brakes or tire leaks. Overall, my service manager Manuel was singularly uncommunicative, unsmiling, and dismissive, and seemed generally irritated to be there. I asked about the advertised price of $188 and he just shrugged his shoulders. I said "I spoke with other dealers who said that some places will just quote a low price to get you in the door." So if you are someone who doesn't have the time to go search them up yourself (which I did in front of the slimmy dealer), just don't accept any of them and go somewhere else. If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. If you are a woman--or honestly just anyone--looking to buy a car, PLEASE take your money and go literally anywhere else unless you enjoy being misled and pressured and most importantly SCAMMED during financing. Alfredo, the finance manager, was an experience in the worst way possible. I made it extremely clear that I did NOT want any add-ons or warranties. Despite that, he told me I could not finance the car unless I bought their warranty, claiming the lender required it. I questioned this multiple times because it didn't sound right, and he assured me over and over again that the deal wouldn't go through otherwise. I even told him I was trusting him, and he sat there lying to my face with a smile. That was a lie. After the fact, I contacted my lender directly and they confirmed they NEVER required a warranty and had nothing to do with that claim. This dealership participates in illegal tied selling which is very much so ILLEGALLL in California. When I finally had the contract rewritten and the warranty removed, my monthly payment went DOWN $85, proving it was never required in the first place. Had I not caught this weeks later, it would have added 11 extra months of payments and over $5,000 to my loan. I was already in a financially vulnerable position, so realizing I was deliberately deceived like this hit me hard. This was straight-up predatory. It gets worse. When trying to negotiate the price, they absolutely refused to budge--even $800--on a car that was NOT in great condition (falling parts). During that conversation, Alfredo told me VERBATIM that his manager wouldn't negotiate because he was "Indian." I'm still in disbelief that someone would say something like that to a customer. Completely inappropriate, offensive, and unprofessional. When I went back to fix the warranty issue, instead of immediately being extremely apologetic and correcting it I was met with hostility. when speaking to the general manager, he was very defensive and unhelpful. I felt like I was crazy. I was told that if I wasn't happy they could just cancel the contract entirely--as if that somehow solved the fact that I had been lied to. The contract was eventually rewritten after the fact that I shared that his finance manager had made a racial comment about him to me about not negotiating the price , it was treated like they were doing me a favor instead of fixing something illegal. When I got there to mend the contract No apology. No accountability. I drove an hour and a half back and was met with zero professionalism. To top it all off, within THREE WEEKS of owning the car, the driver-side door trim started falling off. When I mentioned it, they barely acknowledged it and didn't even bother to properly look at it. This entire experience was disgusting, deceptive, and predatory from start to finish. These people are money-hungry and clearly comfortable misleading customers to upsell warranties. I had a really disappointing experience. I was interested in seeing one particular vehicle at this lot. I called ahead to confirm they still had the vehicle and the man on the phone said they still had it. I drove 50 minutes with a newborn in the car only to find out the vehicle was not there. The salesman said it was at a different location that was at least 1 hr away with traffic. Had they just been honest and said the vehicle was not there but that they could bring it in on a different day, I would've been okay with coming in another day. I would like to preface this review by acknowledging the absolute excellent service and help we've received from the sales associates James Kraft and Isaac Sandoval. We've bought or leased 9 Hyundais, 5 from Harbor and have had up to yet amazing experiences. Four months ago we purchased a used car from Harbor (different brand) and had to replace the transmission 3 days after the purchase. The sales associate should never have allowed us to buy that car. We should have never done it either. Our mistake that we've learned from. Today we wanted to purchase another previously owned Hyundai for our son. After an initial low-ball trade in offer for the used car we bought previously, they pretended to give us a deal by subtracting add-ons they added to the price. We would have never opted to purchase these add-ons to begin with. We walked away and bought a car from another place.
