We had a fun time. They have pin ball machines! The Spinach Artichoke dip which while light on the spinach was heavy on artichoke... Really hot and cheesy.... Nicely melted and toasted on top. The chips were very interesting but think next time we order the dip with the bread instead. The service was great. The waiter did a great job taking care of us and providing us with information and still hustling. The cheese on the bottom and red sauce over the top in a swirl pattern. Excellent crust, crispy but soft inside and still foldable. Let us try the white garlic sauce as a dipping sauce. The rum cake was very good and not alcohol tasting... Gotta say, the menu and pizza here are pretty great. Had the vegetarian pizza which came out quickly and ingredients were fresh. Beer menu is impressive. House salad has a homemade buttermilk dill ranch option which I really enjoyed. We took our son this time. Playroom is just ok but the place is more of a tap house with pizza joint than a kid-centric pizza place. They have trivia on Tuesday nights which is a blast, too! read more

This place is awesome!!! The owner and staff are super friendly, and the menu is insane! My wife and daughter swear the penne fuso is the greatest thing on the menu but I'm torn between the buffalo wings and bbq pizza. The daily specials are incredible and keep the menu fresh, and their drink specials are ludicrously good. They have set the bar pretty high on how a restaurant can thrive during these weird times- breakfast DJ, delivery with your favorite song choice, drink specials to go.... great work gang! read more

I usually don't write reviews after visiting a restaurant only once, but I feel pretty good about Long-Bell. GREAT beer selection, and good selection of scratch kitchen food items. Tried a couple Happy Hour snacks like the Buffalo Chips, Spicy Shrimp Tacos, and Carnitas Tacos. All were good, will come back for the shrimp tacos. Good amount of heat, tasty shrimp, and not the same tortilla you get everywhere else. Buffalo chips were a bit soggy. I would add the buffalo sauce on top of the gorgonzola sauce instead of directly to the chips. They have weekly special pizzas, so far I have seen French onion and Gyro, which both sound phenomenal. Oh and did I mention they have a game room with pop a shot and skee-ball?!?! We will be returning! read more

I have nothing bad to say here. All pizza is good pizza, but Long-Bell is great pizza.

This is a really cute, unique place. They have trivia on Wednesdays, I guess, but we came on Saturday, and it was pretty quiet. The menu is relatively small and the black bean hummus isn't actually hummus. The pizza is a good size and the pulled pork is good. The garlic crust is huge, and tasted okay. It's a little greasy though. My friends said that beer is great. The staff is very nice and attentive. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is fun. I recommend it as somewhere to try if you're looking for something new, but it's not somewhere that I would go regularly. Priced moderately. Great date night and friend hangout. read more

2nd time here. Food was good, atmosphere good, service... needs help!! Dinner with a friend. Walked in and waited to be seated, not a problem. The hostess, no greeting, grabbed 2 menus showed us to our seat and walked away. Waited a few minutes for a waiter or waitress, nothing. Went to the bar to order a drink, 2 bartenders, busy talking , wiping down bar, still standing there, no one's acknowledging me. Finally the girl who sat us asked if I "needed" help!! I told her I wanted to order a drink, "oh , your waiter will take your order!! RUDE!! If anyone is going to be in the service industry.... Learn to converse with your customers!! Went back to the table, waiter comes , asked what I wanted to drink, I was looking and asked what was on tap... He just looked at me, I got up myself and looked to see what was on tap. Couldn't find what I wanted and just ordered water!! If you are serving at an establishment.... Learn your products, if you had a bad day, leave it at the door. I've been to Long Bell a few of times and haven't been impressed with the food any of the visits. This past trip I had their buffalo chicken pizza which ended up being mostly a cream cheese pizza. It had very little chicken and the cream cheese drowned out the flavor. They weren't very busy but we somehow managed to wait for our beers and another guys wings never showed up. One small other complaint is them not having regular ranch, only dill ranch. I'm sure I'll come back with their Wednesday trivia and it being close, but some improvement is needed. read more

Stopped by today between baseball games. The food was excellent! At our table we had the BBQ pork sandwich, Italian sandwich, South West Chicken wrap and the OG hamburger, they all were delicious! The food is good and the wait staff is polite but, if you want a straw with your drink go somewhere else as they no longer offer them. Next up, no silverware to eat your meal with. This was our first time there since they changed from Next Door Pizza. Not sure about the other reviewers, maybe I went somewhere different. In a nutshell: Service mostly good, food, very good, atmosphere was very confusing. First off, the renovation was impressive, very upscale, Gen X Chic. But I did wonder if it would have been better appreciated in either Westport or even Old Town Lee's Summit. (more later) The menu is sparse but very inviting. Not at all what you would expect in Longview. I was a bit confused about the pizza, could you order what you wanted or only what they wanted you to order. The sandwiches were all very trendy, but inviting, so we ordered sandwiches. Cannot miss the Steak and Blu! Once the server got over the fact that I had ordered a Scotch on the rocks rather than Scotch and water (how often do you have to argue with a server over what you ordered?), the service was pretty good. But It would have been nice for her to stop by between delivering drinks and meals. Yes, the sandwiches were very good, and well worth the price. Don't know about the pizza, like I said, I wasn't ready to fight over toppings. But the atmosphere was a maze of contradiction, upscale urban chic, in the middle of Longview, with patrons wearing sweatshirts and families with small children, and I have no idea what the music was intended to mix with. Prices were reasonable, and the beer list was about as perfect as you can get on a single page! So there you have it. Loved the food, appreciated the decor, and accepted the service. I'm glad that they make us wear the mask, I don't want this place to get shut down I love eating here with my kids. This was the first time trying the new pizza place since it took over. We ordered wings (you get 5 full wings for $10)they we over cooked and dry. I had a bad feeling when the first one on top had the bone sticking out like the Griswald's Christmas turkey. The buffalo sauce on them was ok. We also had a margarita pizza that was flavorless and disappointing. Luckily they gave us cheese packets to add some more flavor. I don't know where all the big reviews and the sign that claims they are the best pizza in KC. We were very disappointed for our $30 meal. Longbell is a gem in Lee's Summit. Locally owned and operated by some incredible people. I love the people, the food, the cocktails, the beers, the atmosphere, everything. If you want pizza from passionate, talented chefs and a great drink from an equally passionate and talented bartender there is no better place. I have never felt more welcomed at a restaurant. I also have never seen a group of people so proud of what they have to offer, and let me tell you, they have every reason to be proud. The staff is awesome, and all of the food here is so creative and absolutely delicious! This is not your run-of-the-mill pizza joint. It truly is such a hidden gem in Lee's Summit. The only thing that is somewhat problematic is that they come up with some of the most amazing specialty pizzas on a whim, I order one, fall in love with it, and it is not kept on the menu as a regular item. I love that they are constantly changing things up though to keep the menu fresh and new. If only they had a crab rangoon pizza permanently on the menu someday soon! read more

We came here a few days ago to try out the place since previous pizza joint closed. I have to say that out of all of the pizza places that I have gone to this place was very interesting. To start off we checked out the prices and they were extremely fair. We had a pizza that was basically a meat lovers on one half and on the other side we had there newest pizza that had apples, jalapeños, bacon, and garlic sauce. The crust was delicious...it was crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. One of the owners came up to our table and instead of doing the usual checking in with us, he spent time just having a conversation with us that really made us more interested in the place. The flavors I was able to experience in the food we had was wonderful. The pizza had just the right amount of sauce and cheese that really complimented the toppings but didn't overpower them. Where else in the city can you get a meat lovers type of pizza that isn't overloaded with grease and floppy crust? This place knows what they are doing. I have to say that I will be coming back here. I can get a delicious pizza and attentive service all for a price cheaper than most other places. read more

My goodness this food is incredible! Started with the Buffalo chips which were to die for, then went with the Buffalo pizza and holy cow! I've had good homemade pizza but this crust was so good it could be eaten by itself! the cream cheese sauce was awesome, flavored well but not heavy. The homemade IPA buffalo sauce was to die for.
