My mom, sister and I finally made it in for lunch. We've seen the signage for the restaurant whenever we do our HyVee shopping, but didn't make it in until now. So glad we did. My mom appreciated the plentiful amount of sausage in her thin crust pizza. It did look really good and thought about stealing a bite. My sister opted for the Italian Sandwich and Pappo's House Italian side salad. I got the Pappo's House Italian salad and selected Shrimp as my protein. I do gravitate to salads with artichoke hearts and red pepper. It was a great lunch. It turned out that the server (I'm sorry to say I've forgotten her name) remembered the three of us as she used to serve us at Houlihans on our a "Tipsy (wine) Tuesday" lunch outings. We were good and each had one glass of wine or prosecco. Service was great - food was tasty - and .... DON'T SKIP their awesome Brown Butter Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies! Honestly I wanted to like this place, and I'm bummed it didn't really measure up. I will go back and try another couple of pies before I dismiss it all together. The service was fantastic. I didn't catch her name but our waitress was kind, and knowledgeable. She explained that everything is made in house, and I love that. There wasn't anything wrong with my pizza, it just was unbalanced. Hence why I'd like to come back and try a couple different options. It was loud as all get out in there, which is to be expected on a Saturday night. Not bothersome, but if you want conversation this is not the place! This is right next-door to the place where my wife gets her pedicures. I have never been here before, but she's been in a couple of times and told me it was wonderful. I happened to be grabbing some supplies at the Ace Hardware nearby and saw Pappos was there and open for business. A large party had just exited and so I grabbed my umbrella after I parked my car and walked in the thunderstorm into the restaurant. At first, I thought it was pretty loud because of the concrete floor and the wooden tables, but as soon as the parents with the screaming baby left, it got much quieter. I was greeted at the bar by the general manager, Alex, who was covering one of her bartenders shifts tonight. She introduced herself immediately and asked my name. She was very kind and welcoming. I commented on the very impressive selection of beers they have. 32 taps on the wall and she is responsible for the selection. I can tell you, Alex has excellent taste! The beer list is voluminous and impressive. I don't drink much beer any more, but I had two delicious ones. The house blonde ale is lovely. I didn't have much room for a salad after a beer so I just went straight to an 8 inch pizza. My wife is currently out of the country and I didn't want to have any leftovers and that was all I could eat. I nearly couldn't finish that. I ordered a meat lovers pizza, and Alex was kind enough to swap out the bacon for mushrooms for me because I don't enjoy bacon on pizzas, or much at all unless it's cooked medium. Crispy bacon grosses me out. I think I'm a weirdo. At least that's what my wife says about my bacon aversion. I got the hand tossed crust, and the pizza itself was very good! Probably top 5 in KC that I've had. Impressive for a chain, though I do not think there are any other locations in the metro. If you like pizza, you definitely need to give this place a shot. There were definitely some regular customers in there having a great time and we were all watching this sport called paddle ball on TV. Fascinating! Anyway, I will be headed back to Pappos for more pizza for sure and also at lunchtime for one of their tasty sandwiches. Five stars all the way! read more

My sister got a gluten free pizza and they messed up her order so they made her a new one for free. She said crust was very good for gluten free. Best she ever had. However price was high. Had a small family grad party dinner last night. Ordered wings, ravioli and some side salads to start. Came out quick and tasted great. The wings have great flavor without being too saucy. Ordered a calzone, along with the Sicilian, the GOAT, the kitchen sink, and a pepperoni/jalapeno on thin crust. All were cooked to perfection. Crusts were fresh and delicious, and all the toppings were fresh. As always we ended with a dozen of what are probably the best fresh choc chip cookies you'll ever eat. Food is incredible! The pizza is up there with the best pizza I've ever ate in my life! They use fresh made daily ingredients, as the pizza dough is made daily as well! The service is incredible as well, as our server was constantly asking us how everything was and tasted. You could really tell that they care about putting out great quality food. The restaurant/bar is a nice cozy place, remind you we went on a Monday afternoon and there was hardly anyone there but we were digging all the paintings about the restaurant and food they had. I really digged the Dinosaur eating pizza painting, I kinda wish you could buy it, my kiddo would love it in his room. And when you order YOU HAVE TO TRY THE BROWN BUTTER CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES!!! Loved this so much! Came in with my daughter and everything was perfect. We loved LOVED both of our pizzas and ate the leftovers longer than I'll admit publicly. She got a cheese and I got the hot honey pepperoni and when I tell you the bake was perfection. Do not sleep on the cookies, I also crushed half a dozen of them this week and they were a perfectly executed brown butter cookie that wasn't overly sweet but was just **chefs kiss**. New fan of this place! We started with the wings in the KC BBQ sauce and they were sooo good. The sauce was amazing and the wings themselves were good portions of chicken. We split a caesar salad and that was just okay, a little light on the dressing. I did the meat lover pizza on hand tossed crust and it was just what i was looking for. The toppings were great but the dough itself was the best part. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful as it was our first time in. Pappos Pizza is a great edition to local Lee's Summit restaurants. The pizza is delicious and different what Lee's Summit already has. The toppings are fresh and the crust is awesome! They have a decent beer selection but the prices are pretty high when you could go next door and get a beer for $5 at Hy-vee and they tend to have a better selection. Staff was very friendly and very attentive. Highly reccomend! I only wish they had a better happy hour for drinks. read more

When I walked in I was just amazed by all the art and finishing touches to everything. There is a great amount of beer and rum to choose from. I did a build your own pizza for my order. I love the pineapple/teriyaki sauce, so I had to try some on my pizza. I followed my nose on this one so, whatever your heart desires! The service from order to completion was done as soon as I finished some of my drink. The atmosphere is just amazing with all the TVs and people to chat up at the bar. The is a great new community gem for Lee's Summit. Tye owner sat us and is super sweet, humble and hard working. Steve was our waiter and took great care of us! The beer selection might be the best in Lees Summit or even KC. We had the meatball appetizer and they melted in your mouth. One small salad is enough for two to share and is packed with flavor. The cookies are a must so order them when you order your pizza. We ate a veggie and kitchen sink pizza on hand tossed crust and both were great with so many more on the menu that looked good we will definitely be back! They have an outdoor patio which we enjoy. Incredible pizza place!! The appetizer wings were outstanding. We ordered them plain with buffalo sauce and their cherry sauce on the side. Both were amazing. Their pizza was equally as good. The traditional crust was incredible! Light and airy with just the right amount of "chewiness". The thin crust white pizza was delicious. Chinch's of chicken and full cloves of roasted garlic. FANTASTIC!! Ring brand new you would expect some issues with the wait staff and kitchen but everything was on point. The waitress informed us that everything was made from scratch and there were no freezers or fryers on the kitchen. Truly FRESH ingredients. 30+ beers on tap. A jalapeño margarita that my wife said was the best she's ever had, and multiple tv's around the whole restaurant. This is a COOL place to come hang out for a beer and a game or for family dinners. Stopped in a couple of days ago to try out the newest pizza place in a row that has several very good pizza joints. Service was prompt and friendly and they have an excellent selection of beers on tap. The was incredibly loud, though, which made it hard to carry on a conversation. Our order arrived quickly and was lava hot, so high marks for that. The toasted ravioli appetizer was good but not great. And the meat lover pizza on a thin crust was, similarly, good but not great. The taste and texture suggested that either of these could have come out of a freezer, though I'm sure that wasn't the case (at least for the pizza). So, overall, it was good dinner. Not great, not horrible, just good. Compared to Main Street, Long-Bell or Martin City, though, it just doesn't quite make the grade. read more
