Stopped by Long Blue Cat Brewing on a Friday afternoon and sat at the bar. Was quickly served by the bartender and ordered a beer flight as I wanted to taste the different flavors and a personal cheese pizza. This brewery is small but has many seats for you to choose. The beer was quick to come out and had crisp and flavorful taste. My favorite was the Latchkey IPA. Had a nice time watching some college bowl games while I waited for my pizza. The pizza was great and was too much for me so I decided to take the rest for later. Overall a great experience. I hope to be back during the summer as they also have an outdoor section. read more

Stopped in to check out Long Blue Cat. Nice tap room. Very friendly staff. I had a flight and I have to comment on the flight tray. It's the best one I've ever seen. There are little pieces of paper with the name of the beer under the cute tasting glasses so there is absolutely no reason to be uncertain about the beer you are tasting. As far as the beer, I liked most of my choices, some more than others. The Cherry C.O.S. was my favorite. Jane enjoyed a pint of the London Buzz Honey Ale. No reason not to return. read more

Long Blue Cat Brewing is sort of a hidden gem that is well off the beaten path. It is located in what seems like the middle of nowhere out by the Manchester airport. But don't let this fool you, it's well worth making the effort to find this place. So, first things first, if this place is so off the beaten path and hard to find, how did I stumble upon it? The answer, Groupon. As of this writing, they currently have a Groupon for a flight, a pint and four-pack of tallboys to go for a very reasonable price. I think it was $18 or $19. A really good value that did its job of getting me in the door. Once you're there and in the door you realize that it's a pretty cool little setup. It's not quite as big and grand as a lot of breweries. But what it lacks in size it makes up for in character and comfort. They have TVs in case you want to watch a sporting event. They have a large section of outdoor seating. And then they have a lot of little touches that really let their personality shine through. For example, they have a large chalkboard on a wall for people/kids to doodle on. They have an impressive collection of various craft beers displayed on shelves that wrap around the brewery. And my favorite of all, they have really awesome flights that look like an artist's palette. And to top it all off, when you order a flight they have each beer labeled with its name, ABV and a description of the beer. Really a nice touch. The service we received was great. It was busy when we visited and our original waitress got busy and caught up taking care of everything. This could have been an issue but it wasn't b/c our second waitress, Melissa stepped up and took great care of us. Instead of ignoring us b/c "we weren't her table" she picked up service seamlessly and saved the day. It was greatly appreciated. As great as our visit was there are a few things I would like to see change. First, I would like to see a TV or two in another part of the brewery. Currently, there are only two TVs and they are both located in the bar section. So, if you can't sit over there or you're facing another direction it'll be difficult to watch a game. Second, there were only two choices for canned beer. Third, they didn't have any stickers, either for sale or for free. I like to collect stickers from the breweries I visit so this is why I care. But none of these are deal-breakers. As far as the actual beer itself, I enjoyed it. But craft beer is certainly subject to taste. And what I like might not be what you like. But if you're a fan of craft beer I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find something that works for you. All in all, it a great visit and would absolutely return. Good vibes only!! Love the friendly atmosphere here, the staff is so nice and helpful. Great beers of course too and pleasantly surprised by their small but adequate menu! We got the grilled cheese and tomato soup and it's amazing! The pretzels looked good too. They had 7 beers to try and sounds like their working on more. Super fun way to spend an afternoon! The wings and pretzels were delicious. My personal beer favorites were the Radioface DIPA and the Strawberry Shortcake Sour. Woof. Welp, where to begin. Staff was pleasant, and service was decent. That's the upside. Two of the beers I ordered weren't available. Three of the menu items we ordered weren't available. It happens. I settled on Pretzels (figured I'd eat a meal later) and wife on potato skins, "really extra light on cheese". I got a flight. The beers were decent and I really appreciate the coasters with the beer name on them -- kudos! Other restaurants should take note! So why the two stars? Read on. We sat outside, it being a nice day. Within five minutes, a younger man who clearly either works there or is related to the owner showed up to set up a screen. The screen, we learned, was for a football game to be shown. That would all be fine, but he was smoking a cigarette. Now, maybe it's just me, but I thought NH law was pretty clear about this -- apparently not at the Long Blue Cat. Your choice, my review. Don't want lung cancer? Choose another pub. The dog place next door offered lots of barking, which doesn't bother me, but they were not barks of happiness, and I don't think it's great advertising. Nonetheless, when our food came out, the potato skins -- you guessed it -- loaded with cheese. I LOVE cheese (my wife does not). This would have been ample cheese by my standards (you will recall, her order was for "really extra light on the cheese," which was repeated back by the server. She was very apologetic, and I suggested my wife could just pull off the cheese, and I'd eat it. As she started that process, she realized the pulled pork was nested in the cheese and went inside for a knife. Apparently the cook was inside and went about telling her he usually puts WAY more cheese than that. Maybe so, but this was not "really extra light on the cheese" by anyone's standard. Ray Charles would have filled the order closer to my wife's liking. Lastly, it's Londonderry. "What do you mean by that?" I mean, it's basically Rochester closer to the border, and this was ALL of that. We tried it. It was more of a choice of convenience, not a destination. Good thing, or we might have been REALLY disappointed. In short, there are a LOT of nanobrew pubs in this region -- you'll do just fine choosing a different one. Extremely dissatisfied. Ordered food with my flight. Cook was too busy flirting with three women to make our pretzel bites. Half hour later asked for the check , he gave us the check then the pretzel bites . Told him we had to go , still charged us for them when I said to just "throw them away , we ordered a half hour ago, and have to go" It's too bad , been here before several times and had a good time. If he just didn't charge me for the pretzels we didn't eat due to the chef's incompetence, we'd gladly go back.....but I'll never Ok , we were contacted by Heather from LBCat and after interacting with her , decided to try again. So glad we did . First ,an already solid menu has been seriously improved. Most importantly the staff was off the charts . Every other time they only had 2/3 people on staff , this time they had 5 . Huge difference. Our waitress was Cayla(sp), she was phenomenal. Good service is the most important thing a place can have. ....only complaint is , I wanted to buy a t-shirt to show my support and they didn't have my size. Haha. I am so happy I discovered this place and plan to be back again as this place deserves recognition and will be a active spot for the Manchester and Londonderry brewery scene. This place has potential with the amount of space and additional space that includes a side lawn for the summer time and an upstairs. As I walked in there is a foosball table to the left and merchandise of the Long Blue Cat to the right side. You can see the beer they make themselves through clear doors located next to the bar which makes the experience special as the beer travels right from the pumps to your glass fresh. Normally I don't personally drink craft beers but, I was blown away by the quality of beers and how incredible they taste. I dedicated to get a flight of beers and felt like personal favorite was the LatchKey IPA and the Johnny Rye Ale. These are one of the beers you just need to taste to describe it. This brewery and place deserve to be on the map for craft beer and I look forward to getting some of these beers for myself. After having a great experience with the beers I had one of the tastiest flatbreads in my life called the "The Little Red Hen" which consisted of hand pulled chicken, pepper jack cheese , tomato and bacon served in generous portion that filled the plate. This was phenomenal and every bite melted in your mouth. This place also is environmentally friendly with biodegradable bowls and plates. I have nothing but great things to say about this place and look forward to visiting again soon. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place. Wanted to try out this brewery because it was new and heard nothing but good things. But I guess good things come to an end when my husband and I got there. The vibe was totally off. The wait staff was unprofessional and exposing way too much information about the owners and other co-workers. The food and beer were sub par. In addition, my card was charged 3x for our bill. Which is a huge inconvenience right before Christmas! Needless to say, my first impression of them is not very high. read more

They get their pork fresh, locally sourced and butchered, amazing flavor to the Smoked Pork Sliders. Recent addition to the Long Blue Cat is the TouchTunes. Play any song you want right from the App. While you're at it, grab some pics from the TouchTunes and share with your friends. Highly recommended, one of my favorites stops in the SNH area. I went to Long Blue Cat with a group on a Saturday afternoon. The parking lot was completely full, and there was hardly any seats available inside. They do have an outdoor seating area under a tent, which worked well for us. There was plentiful seating and some corn hole boards as well. A waitress came out to take our order. I sampled several beers. Most were very good. I enjoyed the maple brown ale and porter in particular. We shared the pistachios, pretzel and Mac & cheese. The pretzel and Mac & cheese were delicious. The pistachios were overly priced and pretty bad. Overall we had a great time at Long Blue Cat. I'm sure we will be back. read more

Great brewery in the north end of town. Long Blue Cat is still really new, but already booming. We stopped in on a Thursday afternoon around 4:30 with our French Bulldog (YES, they are dog friendly!!) and sat a high top table. The space is small, but there were already a decent amount of people sitting at the bar and various tables. Flights were 5 beers for $15. I had the Cabrona, Johnny Rye Ale and the Kolsch. All were really tasty. Majority favorite seems to be the Cabrona; a Mexican style lager. My favorite was the Johnny Rye Ale. At 7.0% ABV it went down smooth and had a nice, light taste while still being a full-bodied beer. Although a limited menu, every item was delicious and crafted in house. We tried the pretzels, grilled cheese sliders and the little red hen panini. The pretzels were my favorite. Soft, warm and served with three dipping sauces - rye ale cheese dip, London buzz honey mustard and sriracha sour cream. The rye ale cheese dip was our favorite. Everyone was really attentive and friendly. Our server also offered our pup water and we appreciated the fact that LBC treats their furry friends as guests too. She also informed us that they do "beers by the fire" on Saturday nights from 5-10 pm, which offers some added fun and entertainment to a rather quiet NH town. read more

Really good beer and really nice people as well as attentive wait staff. My husband and I have visited here twice, and the second time around we brought our dog. She was more than happy to come along and hang with us outside on the patio since it was a nice day.
