I was only in town for a few days and we kept coming back to this amazing shop EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. That's how in love we were with this place. In the three visits that we've gone I've tried a bunch of different things: taro milk tea, avocado go-go (basically an avocado smoothie), honey green tea with sea cream, and my fiancé's royal milk tea with pudding (that he got every trip). I've never had an avocado smoothie or a drink with sea cream so it was cool to try different drinks without breaking the bank. I LOVE that this place gives you a topping for free. The first time I had an avocado durian smoothie and some special drink and I liked them both! The second time I had a coconut milk tea but it was too sweet and I personally do not like the fact that it doesn't have a tea flavor. My boyfriend took me here as we are currently on a quest to find the best popcorn chicken in Chinatown. We got 1 order of popcorn chicken and I got a hot ginger tea. The amount of popcorn chicken for the price was great, but the seasoning wasn't there and the cuts of chicken were not very good. Their popcorn chicken is served with a sweet and sour sauce, which was tasty, but I'd much rather be eating lumpia with the sauce than popcorn chicken. The ginger tea was not bad - it was quite flowery tasting compared to other ginger tea's I had. I wish that it had a stronger ginger flavor and more spice, but it was overall not bad. I also appreciated that my tea didn't come out searing hot so that I didn't have to wait forever to start drinking it. Aside from the food, parking was a little difficult. I come here a bit often (I do a bit of a rotation with the popular tapioca places in China Town). What is pretty unique about this tapioca place, is that it has a drive thru. The regular teas with no sugar are pretty bitter. So it depends on your preference. You can adjust the percentage of sugar you want in your drinks (ex 100%, 60%, or even 0% ). They do increments of 10%. WHAT I ORDERED: Got their chicken fettuccine. Straight up chicken fettuccine with a garnish of basil leaves, which did compliment it well. It was delicious for the price. It was my first time ordering this dish and I was taken back with how flavorful it was. Also got their royal artichoke drink for like the 10473rd time. It's too sweet for me at the regular sweetness level so I did 0% sweet. It's a pretty solid drink to order, especially if you can't make up for your mind. It's pretty refreshing and light. read more

Came here for the first time this week with my husband. We only did drive through since we were in a hurry. Thry have a good choice selection on their menu. The girl taking the order was very nice. Our order was simple. Very fast service. I ordered a taro cream tea and my husband got a mango great tea. It was nice that they actually out in pieces of mango into the drink but I do feel like they were cut too big. They were bigger than the tapioca!!! Would like to see them cut a little smaller. Their drinks are too sweet for me, well everyone taste are different so maybe someone else might like it. I think their pasta dishes are pretty good for a drink place. I tried many different Italian places and not many can make Alfredo decent. Usually it's too creamy or not creamy enough. Yet boba zone has surprised me with their pasta. It was perfect, but it taste better with just shrimp, the chicken wasn't too good. It was dry and has no season. The price range for their pasta is good and the portion is big too. One order can fill on up, and it only cost about $7 while at an Italian restaurant, a dish could cost about $17 for the same thing. I think it's a good deal. Their fried chicken and calamari are decent too and affordable. I think most of their food are better than their drinks. The place is usually pack at all time, from young to old people. I used to come here a lot but now I don't go very often since the wait is always long. Even when I order on the phone, when I get there the wait is still 30 minutes. The place is very detailed. The location is very easily to be seen... it's in the center of the one and only KIM SON. So anyway back to Boba Zone... the drink that I got was milk tea wih egg pudding. It was well what a typical milk tea would taste like. The decor of this place stood out to me more than the drinks, though something even more interesting is that they have something called "baby boba" if I recall correctly, which is essentially just smaller boba/tapioca pearls. Good luck finding a seat here it tends to get pretty crowded and that goes for anywhere surrounding this plaza. So the bottom line is it's good and authentic but gets crowded. Royal Artichoke Tea is a must try! This herbal tea ($3.25) comes with five toppings-- artichoke, basil seeds, rainbow jelly, grass jelly, and longan. I got mine 50% less sugar which is perfect for me because I don't like anything too sweet. I really like this drink it's very refreshing and light. All of their teas comes with a topping already which is great you'll just have to pay extra if you want to add more. You'll have to ask what topping comes with it though because it doesn't say in the menu. My friend got the Cafe Sua Dua ($2.75) blended. We both think it's good but too strong for our liking. This is my Coffee Bean of Houston!! One thing I miss most about living in California is all the Coffee beans, no one makes a latte like them because they use powder instead of syrup. Ill start of by saying this is one of my favorite go to places for boba, but not so much for their food though. Service has always been fantastic even when they are busy. It'll easily be a full house on the weekends despite the numerous seating areas inside and outside. There is a drive-thru (building used to be a starbucks) option. Very convenient to have that available. My personal favorites are the royal artichoke with lychee pop, spicy mango, honeydew milk tea, durian avocado (be aware of the smell, but taste great). You can select from a variety of flavor pops, regular size boba or baby boba. Bottom line, check out boba zone if you're nearby or craving good tasting drinks. Tip: ask for a stamp card, most of the time their nice enough to give you two stamps to start off with. Only 8 more for a free drink. read more

My go to for cafe sua da, it's super cheap and it's consistent! The strawberry iced green tea is a tad bit strong- they also add real strawberry bits inside! The avocado smoothie is a perfect blend, from the texture to the flavor, sooo good (my moms fav).. usually I am not a big fan of royal artichoke, but the one here is so refreshing! Came one summer afternoon for a mid-day pick-me-up thinking I could just go through the drive-through and get back to work. When I pulled in, the drive-thru line was 7 cars deep and threatening to spill onto Bellaire. Wisely, I chose to park and order. This place had everything: grandpas tweeting their beards in the parking lot, texting teens out of schools for the summer, people with laptops out, and Asian snacks galore (fried chicken, banh mis, unidentifiable mixings). For the line, the small army moved rather quickly.My black tea milk tea, with less sugar was perfect. My only complaint is that I wanted more. Last night I went to the Boba Zone (I have already been quite a few times) but the experience I have never changes! When pulling into the parking lot, it is as always packed and hard to find a spot! And once we get in the doors there is a super long line!(then why did I give 5 stars?
