I called today to get an appointment and the whole thing went in circles being switch from one staff member to another. I would do a full interview then put on hold. Then someone else picks up and says, can I help you? There was no consistency. All of it being about money [and] I have dental insurance. It was like falling into a corporate black hole. At points people were rude and threatened to hang up. I got so worn out from it I was the one who hung up. Then I looked at the reviews. Thank you everyone for the insightful comments. I would like to share my experience with Dr. Kiran who is truly an excellent dentist. Our first visit was for my daughter, who needed teeth extract. Dr. Kiram took the time to carefully explain the entire procedure, answered all of our questions, and made sure my daughter felt safe and comfortable. The extractions went extremely well, and the recovery was smooth, which gave me a lot of confidence in his care. Because of such a positive experience with my daughter, I decided to return as a patient myself to have my wisdom tooth extracted. Once again, Dr. Kiram was professional, patient, and very reassuring. The procedure went smoothly, and I felt well taken care of from start to finish. His calm demeanor and clear communication truly make a difference. I highly recommend Dr. Kiram to anyone looking for a skilled, compassionate, and trustworthy dentist. That being said, my experience with the front desk staff was unfortunately not as positive. On multiple occasions, the front desk assistants were unprofessional and came across as rude, both during in-person interactions and while we were in the office. Their attitude did not reflect the level of care provided by Dr. Kiram and negatively affected the overall experience. I was seen at Long Island Oral Surgeons on a Sunday for an emergency extraction due to excruciating pain. My husband called that morning to get me in, and while I appreciated being seen quickly, the experience that followed was deeply traumatic. No one mentioned the need to fast before the appointment, so I had a few sips of coffee with oat milk earlier that morning. Because of this, I was told sedation wasn't possible. My husband was then asked to leave the room--before it was determined that I couldn't be fully numbed--and the procedure went forward while I was only partially numb. I told the doctor I still felt pain, and I don't even remember consenting to continue. I was in shock, alone, and vulnerable. The extraction itself was brutal. The tooth was brittle and required a lot of force. I felt everything. It was one of the most painful and violating medical experiences of my life. Before I left, I was told the pain would be about a 3 out of 10 the next day. But two days later, the pain was a 10 out of 10--and when I told the doctor, he said he "didn't want to alarm me at the time," but the pain was normal due to how intense the procedure was. That kind of after-the-fact reasoning is not okay. I should have been given accurate expectations, not false reassurance that left me unprepared and afraid. No one from the office followed up after the procedure--despite the trauma I endured. When I called the next morning still in significant pain, I was told, "If it still hurts later, call us," as if this was all normal. I ended up in the ER that night because the pain was unbearable. Later in the week, when I called to ask a simple question, a front desk staff member was rude, dismissive, and even threatened to hang up on me. Yes, I was seen quickly in an emergency--but nothing about this experience felt ethical or humane. I was not treated like a person, or even like a patient in pain. I hope this review is taken seriously. What happened to me should never be repeated. read more

I had a dental emergency back in November. I woke up to the right side of my face being completely swollen and painful out of nowhere. After seeing my regular dentist and ruling out a cavity/root canal etc. they advised me to see an oral surgeon that same day. Only it was already almost 4:30. I called every number they gave me as a reference but no one could see me. After calling up another dentist who I used in the past (Dr. Scharff) they told me to call here. After calling in tears and in pain, they said they closed at 5pm but they could see me today. Although I got there at 4:50, they still saw me, a random and new to their office patient, 10 minutes before closing. The staff was kind and courteous and Dr. Karim who saw me was calm, reassuring and kind. I am someone who has a huge dental fear and I was not anxious or overwhelmed here at all, and I am completely blown away by the level of care received on such short notice. Id give zero stars if I could. My daughter waited two hours past her appointment time to be taken. Then had to call back multiple times because two prescriptions were not being submitted. All in all 4 1/2 hours waiting for surgery to be done and prescriptions to be received by pharmacy. My son's experience two years ago was no better. My husband as well several years ago. I've finally learned my lesson. If you take one piece of advice it us to avoid this place like the plague. Even getting a consultation and post-operative check you'll wait at least an hour. read more

Horrible service and only out for the $! Incredibly unprofessional workers and zero empathy in the whole office. I went to get my wisdom teeth extracted and was having some nerves and they did not care to comfort me at all. Did not show any empathy and was only trying to continue on the procedure without telling me what was happening. I was able to get a same day appointment with Dr. Nudell for two molar extractions. I spoke with Jolene over the phone who was so pleasant and helpful! I was taken into a room right away by Jill and had Emma go over all my paperwork and answers any questions. Noel and Dr. Nudell were the perfect pair working together so seamlessly. They cracked a couple of jokes to make me feel more relaxed. I wanted to laugh, but knew I couldn't. I feel very lucky I was able to have them perform this procedure! While in recovery, Noel checked on me a couple of times to see if I needed more ice or anything else. Checkout was a breeze. I don't remember the lady's name, but she provided me with all my instructions in a little shopping bag. I should have asked her to slow down, because it was a lot of info to take in, while still recovering. I assumed someone from the office would have called to check in on me within the following few days, but I guess that's not their thing. Overall, I highly recommend this practice and thankful my experience was as good as can be expected under those circumstances. read more

Great surgeons, just be prepared to wait hours. We had to wait about 15 minutes to sign in, they booked so many people. And they really dont care how long you wait. This place just felt super unprofessional right from the jump. I had a 6:30 appointment and didn't get called in until 7:40.... Finally sitting in the chair the young man who was going over everything with me was all over the place and simply just didn't know much of what was going on. Very disorganized, in the meantime still waiting for the surgeon to come in 15 mins goes by. This gave me sometimes to read others reviews. Those didn't help at all being in this little run down room I begin to come to a realization that this is not the place I want to get my wisdom teeth pulled by. My son went to have 3 wisdom teeth removed before returning to college and a month later he's still numb. He also had an abscess burst in his mouth. After 2 rounds of antibiotics, and still numb 2 months later, they accept no responsibility for the rushed extractions. Today 8/15/2023 I had a 10 oclock appointment to have 4 teeth extracted..Even though I had been there 2 previous times I had to fill out 3 pgs of i nformation. .The waiting room was chaotic and wait much longer then it should have been..patients were annoyed and complained..Finally I was next an ex-ray was taken & I was put in an exam/operating room..Here is where it got really BAD !! Elaine a tech came in and looked at my chart then proceeded to apply a green foul -tasting liquid to my gums and she let a huge glob of it go down my throat ! My throat quickly cl9osed up got numb so I could not swallow and breathing hurt !! I started panicking..someone gave me water which did not help..Frantic I asked for hot tea,,mas I sipped my air passae gradually began to clear but not my throat ..Elaine came back in and said sorry she had given me way too much & it was not supposed to go down my throat !!~ Sorry ??? My doctor Dr. Ryan Glazer came in began to look at my situation..At bthe same time the office biller was pressuring me to pay up the $1100 up front..Not really concerned about me..Calmer finally I decided to get the extractions done because I have been in so much pain.,thats why I was there to begin with ! Dr. Glazer gave me quite a few shots of novacaine after a lighter gel had been applied..A new tech also gave me sweet ait which did nothing to relax me..Dr. Glazer took so long getting back to me the novacaine war off..I had had it..I got out of the exam room and got the hell out of there !! The women at the front desk treated me so horrid that I left the office in complete and utter disgust. They were condescending, verbally abusive and completely heartless regarding my medical emergency. My endodontist called and spoke to them and sent me there immediately, they completely disregarded the severity of the situation mocked me when I asked how long the wait would be, as I was sitting with my entire side of my face numb. DO NOT COME HERE. I called Massapequa Oral Surgery while I was sitting in the waiting room for 30+ minutes (they assured my endodontist I would be taken immediately). I left the office and the wonderful staff of Massapequa Oral Surgery took me in immediately and I cannot say enough amazing things about them. NEVER USE THESE NASTY HORRIBLE HEARTLESS OFFICE. Make sure to understand the paperwork prior to treatment. They will make you liable for all charges regardless of insurance coverage. They will lie and double bill for services rendered. I am now forced to go before a Judge in small claims court to state my case and re coupe losses. I am beyond grateful to have met Dr Cerbone many years ago, when he helped my young son with what turned out to be a very serious condition. It's called an odontogenic keratocyst. My son is 25 and doing well today, but this doctor's compassion, brilliance, professionalism and sincerity could not have been more abundant! Dr Cerbone is one of the finest human beings on this planet. We have not had much contact over the past few years, but I did bring my daughter there for her wisdom teeth excision. Dr Cerbone has this incredible ability to make you feel like your case is the most important thing to him at the moment. He is joined by colleagues and a team of staff members who only know one way to treat their patients-- perfectly! The office is run like a well-oiled machine, and I have sent many people to them for their oral surgery, suggesting they not consider going anyplace else. They are usually pretty busy, so please be patient, and understand they will get you in as soon as humanly possible. People should try to understand that even though they're in pain, and may be anxious, this practice services patients even on Sundays! They're there for you when or if you ever need them for relief of tooth pain! Remember this if you're about to complain about the wait time.
