I haven't had this junk food in probably 10 years or more. I had completely forgotten about LJS. My daughter mentioned it and I thought they had gone out of business. I was in Durant, Oklahoma, and spotted LJS. I chose the fried cod and it did not disappoint. It came out piping hot and fresh. I drenched/poured/saturated/soaked/drowned this cod in malt vinegar. Renee was really nice! The floor was prob one of the slickest/greasiest floors that I have ever stepped on though. Yuck! I have no idea how someone has not fallen yet. The food was hot & fresh. I don't eat a lot of fried food so I was happy my mom shared this plate w me. Fish was hot & crispy. Green beans had a good flavor. Corn was good but kinda mushy. Maybe it was over cooked. This is definitely an older restaurant. It just needs some updating & the floor DEFINITELY needs a deep cleaning. read more

Fast and good, everything a LJS should be and more! It always worries me when a place isn't busy and the business in the next driveway is, but that doesn't matter at all in the case of this location. I don't know why they aren't more busy - their seafood offerings are so generous and delicious! I was excited to try their new menu offerings and I ordered way more than I needed to. If you haven't been to this LJS lately it has really changed for the better. Chicken planks were large and not over cooked, fish was delicious, green beans and rice were hot and very good and lots of the crumbly things on the platter. Very nice lady working the counter and the cook even poked her head out and greeted me. All the covid stuff was practiced by the staff and signage in place as well. Very nice visit. read more

I'm on the road coming from Houston Texas driving to Tulsa Oklahoma I said to myself I'm hungry and I had a taste for fish I pray that when I pulled over that the town is not racist and actually I went to Long John Silver all three ladies I met working in the fast food restaurant was very nice and pleasant I order 10.99 fish, shrimp m, hush puppies with rice and green bean my food was fast service cooked fresh it was actually good I thank you all for the great service keep up with the good work. read more

Would not go back there! The girl working the register was constantly wiping her nose and face and her hair under her hat, which was either sweaty or greasy, the whole time while taking my order. A fly was landing on me and counter where food was and they were flying all over us while eating. Bathrooms were unclean with dirty floors, sink and overflowing garbage. Stopped here after reaching our half way mark on our road trip. Worst service ever! 30 minutes for 2 pieces of fish that the lady at the drive thru did not put in our bag. My girlfriend and I ate here earlier tonight. The service was excellent. However that's where the good experience ended. The couple before us got their food and the chicken was raw. After waiting for 30 mins for our food. We were told that they were dropping fresh chicken to make sure that it was done. All the while all of the other food was ready. They pulled my burger out of the window and put it somewhere in the kitchen. As well as my girlfriends plate. It sat somewhere in the kitchen until the chicken was done. My husband and I stopped here for lunch January 3, 2018. I must say that the food was good. That's the only good thing I have to say about the place. If I had really looked around before we ordered we would of left. It was filthy. The floors, the tables, around the trash can. The counter where you get condiments was nasty. The pump spigot for tartar sauce had dry crusty sauce on it. They had run out of straws so the managers daughter had gone to Walmart and brought back boxes of unwrapped straws. The open boxes were on the counter for everyone to stick their hand into! I said something to one of the women about how dirty it was. Her excuse was that she had cut her hand earlier. I'm pretty sure the dirt was more than a few hours old! After I said something about how dirty it was she went back and got a broom and asked one of the others to help. Instead of just cleaning they spent most of their time talking loudly and going on and on about how she can't work because she's crippled with her cut hand. Then she was hollering to the woman behind the counter about it's B.S. (she did not abbreviate!) that she's having so much trouble sweeping. She then goes to empty the trash can and she's swearing because the bag leaked and she has to clean that nasty mess up. We got a to-go box and left. We were told the place is under new management. If this is how they run it they may need another one! As many have said before.... it won't let me leave no stars so.... they get one. We won't go back. The really sad thing is that we hadn't been there in a long time because the last time we ate there my husband was violently sick on the way home and that evening.
