We were here near closing and so she gave us their extra fried pies for free. Pricing is extremely reasonable. I got the old fashioned burger 'in the rough' (subbed the bun for lettuce). Cute little spot for breakfast and burgers. Tiki Hubby had ham steak breakfast, came with choices hash browns, biscuit creamy gravy, and two eggs. Fresh and yummy every bite. I had the old fashion cheese burger and tater tots. Burger was fresh with all the vegetables on the burger. We stopped here for a quick lunch during our road trip from Ft. Worth to Tulsa. The preschooler demolished her grilled cheese, I loved the chicken bites, and my husband enjoyed his cheeseburger and fried pie. The staff was kind and efficient. It's really cute inside but then it goes downhill. We ordered grilled cheese sandwiches, fries, pancakes and a chicken tender basket. Coffee, pedi and waters. Anyways. People that came in after us were served first even though our food sat at the window for some time. Then a friend with us Hillary don't eat that. There was a long hair coming out of the cheese hanging out of the sandwich. Then another person says there chicken does not taste good. 2 other people tasted it. It tasted like it had lime squeezed all over it. Sour. The coffee cup looked like a coffee pot that had not been cleaned in months. They took the grilled cheese off. My friends and I came here for lunch , after going to the casino. Our server was very nice. The atmosphere of the restaurant is adorable. The food was good. Prices were cheap. Possibly Oklahoma is cheaper than what I'm used too. My burger was cooked perfectly. My daughter's grilled cheese was grilled perfectly as well. My friends complained about the fries. When this little diner first opened, I was a regular. I loved the burgers, onion rings, chicken bites, and fried pickles. Then, the service went downhill and I stopped going for months. When a friend told me the service issues had been resolved, I gave them another try. On three separate visits, the service was unapologetically slow and they couldn't get orders right. This place was a great stop during a miserable trip. My mom and I were stuck in Durant during evacuation for Hurricane Harvey. We were tired, grumpy and just wanted to go home. This place was almost an oasis. The place was comfy, the menu was varied (breakfast, lunch, and dinner available at 2pm). My mom had breakfast (a *huge* ham steak, thick and juicy), I had dinner (chicken fried steak, also well cooked and delicious). I finished with a milkshake, homemade and delicious. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and went out of her way to ask over and over if we were ok, and if we needed anything while we were in town. Comfortable and friendly. Boomerang is the ideal spot if you like your food hot, and your atmosphere cool. Service has room for improvement(thus the 4 instead of 5 stars), but the decor and music make up for this by creating a fun retro environment. Boomerang has a lot to offer as far as great food. I've been dining here since they opened in town, and their burgers are STILL my favorite of all time. The deep fried mushrooms for an appetizer are a must have- and are definitely worth being a tad expensive. This was my 5th visit here. The food and service was always good. However, tonight's experience was far from good. Just a simple order of 2 cheeseburgers could turn so complicated! They brought both cheeseburgers out and forgot the side of mayo. We told them we just bring the mayo out, but they took the whole basket back and made another burger! So, we weren't able to dine together and the cheeseburger came back with no cheese! Then we had to ask for silverware and we never got our drinks refilled and the onion rings seem to be getting smaller and fewer for a large basket. Basically, it's a listening problem and the kitchen not reading the order correctly. They offered a free milkshake to compensate, by then I was over Boomerangs. None of the kitchen staff were wearing hairnets and when the waitress offered to take it off my bill when I received my bill not even a minute after the conversation she "forgot" to take it off.
