After 15 minutes I spoke to a young woman who was bussing the table behind us and told her we had not yet seen a member of the wait staff. She said she would look into it. Five more minutes went by and I stopped the hostess and told her we had not seen a waiter. She said she would look into it. Another five minutes goes by and finally Isaiah stopped at our table, apologized for our wait and took our drink order. He asked if we were there for the band and I said, "No, we are here for dinner." We ordered two Bantams. Finally, at 6 p.m. we left. Our beers never arrived. There was no apology from the hostess and we let the waiting customers know unhappy we were with the service. No one should have to wait for 30 minutes for a beer at a brewery. This is the type of service that they perform here is not acceptable. But one thing they do is ask you if you want to leave a tip for service. Getting a tip means you've done something right. In my opinion this whole thing was not correct. You pay for a meal you spend your money you ask for what you want you should get what you request. Not a real big fan of sunshine cafe. And I definitely do not recommend anyone coming here for meals. Even though the meals when they are properly repaired are pretty good it is completely offsetted by the horrible service provided.

Tracked down the waitress and she replaced it. My father is a veteran and told the waitress he got a discount. She acknowledged but the receipt did not reflect the discount. Clearly short staffed, and had to get up to find the waitress to request a check and to go box. I get that there are staffing problems but the elderly have difficulty in non air conditioned areas in 80+ temps. Will go back, as this has been one of our favorites for my Dad. Hope the staffing and salad bar issues will be addressed next month.

Luckily we asked for extra when we ordered because we like to dip our onion rings in ranch too. We really liked the onion rings. I would have said something about the wraps but our server had that large party so we didn't see her again until the end of our meal. The view was beautiful and they do offer cocktails. They have a nice outdoor covered patio with ceiling fans but Mom said it was too hot even with the fans and since she's nearly 84 I wanted her to be comfortable. Do not get me wrong, I love their commercials. But not every location is low performing based on my visit to the Muncie, IN store. The signage is excellent off of McGalliard Rd. There are a few entry ways into the lot. My lunch visit started with easy to find parking in Northwest Plaza and a debris free lot. Also the walk up was clear of trash. A friend and I were immediately greeted and seated in a booth. Not a big lunch crowd, but they had business. My table as well as the adjacent area was clean. Our friendly female waitress took drink orders and provided menus. My friend immediately decided on their special Bourbon burger, I chose the chicken sandwich. I slipped off to wash my hands and the restroom was spic and span with proper supplies. Both plates hit the table in around 20 minutes. Everything was correct and hot. My chicken sandwich with bacon was good, fries tasty. My friend loved his burger and raved! We did get a check in and refill on drinks. Our check was presented in a timely manner and cashed out quickly. Total time was around 50 minutes. That was perfect timing around a planned one hour lunch. I think that maybe if I got a fresh one, it would be better. Really the entire rating of this place comes down to how good the tenderloin is. If I come back here and get a 5-star tenderloin, it will get a five-star rating.
