Hubby & I were out running errands & decided we were hungry. We pulled into the parking lot thinking it was 2 different restaurants but you place your order at one counter for both places. The ambiance reminds me of a 1970s diner & brought back memories of going to A&W after high school football games. It is clean but has a dated look which I think is on purpose. We ordered the Long John Silver's Super Sampler Platter & split it between us. Our 2 sides were coleslaw & waffle fries. The cashier was friendly & helpful. Our food was delivered to our table in less than 10 minutes & it was steaming hot. I liked that I could pump my own tartar sauce, ketchup & cocktail sauce. We ate every bite & it tasted great. We would return here next time we're craving deep fried fish. read more

Ok, so first off I was missing one of my shrimp and they gave me root beer instead of Pepsi as ordered. They also gave 2 extra hush puppies-but I'm not a big fan of them.. So I didn't fully get what I paid for. Secondly, they were super skimpy on the sauces- and provided no napkins. Third, the portion size of what I got was extremely small for the price that I paid for it. I remember going back in the day and the whole bottom being filled with fresh fries and fresh fish/chicken, etc. Fourth, it did seem hot to a degree-but the food-especially the chicken was super-super dry and over cooked instead of fresh and crispy. A little greese to make it juicy is fine.. it was just too dry overall. Fifth, they did away with the straight cut fries that I liked and the crunchy breadcrumbs usually scattered about the bottom of the box with that signature taste/crunch. Now they only have waffle fries.. which I'm not a fan of. Fifth, I paid a total of $24.99 for what you see pictured.. The "super sampler" meal was $12.99.. to add an extra piece of fish is near $3 now and the cheese curds were almost a whopping $5 for just a super small "regular size". To add a drink-because that's extra.. almost $3! When it's good it's good.. but when it's bad it's bad. This time? It was bad.. plus the price just left a bad taste in my mouth. Ambience through the drive through was fine. I might give it another try in the future but I feel as if they've made some changes that I'm not a fan of.. I'll definitely not order the same thing-it's not worth it in any sense of the word. read more

As one of the Yum! brands, I don't expect much, so I should never be disappointed. One out of four times at a Yum! quick serve restaurant, I feel ill. Those include Long John Silver's, A&W, Taco Bell, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and Pizza Hut. Those are a lot of choices and I can be sick at any of them. What are they doing that makes me react that way? I went today because I wanted fish tacos. I got three of them since they're not big, though they have a good amount of fish inside each flour tortilla. They also include lettuce and some sort of sauce, probably based on mayonnaise. They don't compete with Rubio's in California and they don't compete with Beto's in Fern Park, Florida. However, I start thinking about those places and I go to Long John Silver's anyway. I finished two of the tacos and put the other in my fridge. Maybe, i'll feel better later and eat the remaining one. Grrrrr...I really wanted fish tacos today. I wonder if I could petition the company to change its name from Yum! to Yuck! Imagine seeing YUCK on the stock ticker and the headlines "YUCK posts big gains!" Update: I went to the address on the back of the receipt and filled out the survey. I'm not a big fan of fast food chain restaurants that serve seafood, but LJS's does a great job of cooking their seafood! It's crispy, very fresh tasting, and sure brings out the great taste in their lobster bites, fried fish, and shrimp. Yummy. The fish might be a bit oily, but just put it between 2 napkins, press lightly, and behold...perfect for eating. Plus the tartar dip goes great with the fries too. You might end up eating a lot of fried seafood due to the yumminess, but worry not. Just head inside the huge Super Walmart located across the street to walk around and have fun! read more

After an very unappealing visit to another local eatery, my husband and I ended up here on the evening of August 17, 2019...started our visit out listening to 2 employees arguing in the back, about who was going to do what side jobs and ending with one saying this isn't the first time you have been disrespectful to me and you are still working here...finally got one of them to come out and take our order, when it was delivered, it was completely cold....maybe they should worry more about DOING their jobs instead of discussing who isn't read more

The girl made my hot fudge sundae then sat and talked to her co-worker for at least 3 minutes. The sundae was in her hand the whole time. When she gave it to me it was more than half way melted. I asked her to remake it and she said if she did it would not come out better. This made no sense to me. The ice cream machine does not make melted ice cream and the center of the sundae was frozen. The male manager that works there currently has the worst managerial skills I've ever witnessed. I'm in town for a few months and have gone here a handful of times and the final time was a few days ago when I spoke to the manager (I think his name was Steve/Steven?). They usually are decent but sometimes we'll get home and their fries are old and not even warm. This final time the girl at the world dow was talking about people at the drive thru menu ordering and she was cursing saying how people are "assholes today". Didn't think that was proper for a business to speak that way, but , i was polite to her to try and make her day better. She was nice to me too, but i just happened to hear her talk about the people behind me. Granted, maybe the people behind me were rude to her. But having the window open and allowing customers to hear that language didn't sit well but i let it go. We waited for a good 10 minutes in line waiting for our food for two. We finally get it and leave and go to the park to have dinner there and we lay all our food out and they didn't put two things we ordered in the bag. So, i called and was transferred to Steven or Steve the make manager and i explained that we didn't ha e all that we paid for and if we could grab it some other time because we were really hungry and just wanted to eat , plus, we had all our food out and we didn't wanna pack up and head to LJS just to get them at that moment. He said: " No can't do that. I'll send you a gift card in the mail". I was taken back and questioned him: "Qhat was that? You can't comp me the stuff you left out for me to just pick up another time?". He said no and repeated that he would send a gift card in the mail. I was pleasant with him until then. I just said "Wow. Forget it!" and i hung up. Sucks that that is the sole location for LJS but if you go, make sure to get all your food before you leave and do not speak to Steven.
