We've enjoyed meals here many times. Overall a very good experience, sometimes excellent. The decor/ambiance is of course the Red Lobster corporate chain design, nautical paintings and ship wheel themes. The lighting is not overly bright, which is a good thing. The restaurant feels clean and restrooms are acceptably maintained. Food is really good and the portions are big. The lobster dip is a winner. Warm and cheesy with a little kick and a respectable amount of lobster meat to enjoy. It's served with hot fresh thin tortilla strips. Speaking of hot and fresh, the cheddar bay biscuits that come with the meal are tasting really great lately; I wonder if they've improved the recipe. We had great service today from Dana who was most attentive and even lent a bit of a hand in packing up leftovers. The waitstaff here often seem to have a problem when we ask that our leftovers be boxed up for us. To be fair to Dana I didn't make a formal request for that service today, but sometimes in the past there were issues. Honestly, following the appetizer we could probably have split the fish & chips and eliminated leftovers. They have a nice bar that includes booths but there is not always a bartender on duty. There's plenty of parking including handicap spots. This is a good choice for casual seafood dining. read more

Hubby & I stopped in for lunch for the first time at this location. It is typical Red Lobster ambiance. We were seated immediately & our helpful server got our drink order while we perused the menu. Hubby & I both ordered the Shrimp Your Way 3 ($19.99). I got Dragon shrimp, Garlic shrimp scampi, Shrimp linguini Alfredo & my side was a lobster baked potato ($5.99 up charge). Hubby ordered Garlic shrimp scampi, Shrimp linguini Alfredo, Grilled shrimp skewer & his side was bacon mac n cheese ($3.49 up charge). Our food took about 25 minutes to come out but our server wisely brought us piping hot cheddar bay biscuits whenever our basket was getting low. They were delicious! My wife and I traveled to Indianapolis for the eclipse and stopped for a late lunch. The dining room was clean and had a warm feel to it. Jessica, our server was exemplary in her attentiveness and professional demeanor. I had fish and chips which was superb. I substituted the chips with a Caesar salad. The cole slaw that came with it was delicious and a very generous helping. My wife had the lobster dip and Caesar salad. We enjoyed our salads too. If we lived here, we'd be back. Kudos! read more

Not really impressed with this place anymoreZ the food is ok, but not the Red Lobsters I grew up with. At these prices I just expect more in quality and service. I post this pic just as an example of the lack of attention from our waitress. She was missing in action for long periods. So heading to see our son for the week to spend Thanksgiving with him we stopped at the red lobster since we hadn't eaten there for some time. Initially everything was good but my wife ordered the lobster Linguine which came out after my youngest and I were already done. The manger said they cooked the wrong pasta and when it finally came out it still wasn't linguine. While she was waiting my wife wanted another biscuit and we asked the waitress 3 times and she brought them to everyone around us but not us. The place wasn't busy at all so there really was no reason for this kind of service. I keep hearing that Red Lobster is going downhill but we had a terrific meal here Wednesday night. Being allergic to seafood, it had been eons since my last visit with my seafood-crazy family. The restaurant was very empty - which probably isn't that odd for a Monday night in Richmond. Our group of 10 was promptly seated and served by two friendly waitresses. After cracking open the menu, I found that Red Lobster has definitely ramped up their selection of fishless options. I ended up selecting the veggie kabobs with rice pilaf - which was delicious but the amount of buttery sauce ladled on top cancelled out my efforts to make it a healthy meal. I love Red Lobster! I'm not sure why it gets so much flack, really, because when you consider the options in Richmond for any kind of half decent sea food, it's pretty good! Now, don't go comparing it to some sea side joint that gets it's fish right out their back door, but for a decent sea food dinner in Indiana, you want really complain. I am not much of a chain-goer, but halfway between a road trip from Columbus to Chicago we were hungry and really not in the mood for fast food in the car. We were starving, spotted Red Lobster and headed on in. We were greeted by a couple of super friendly servers. We joked about how we were going to tear apart a basket of cheesy biscuits because we were so hungry. One of the greeters ended up being our waitress and rushed a basket right over to us. Awesome, except... they were still raw in the middle. Biting into a raw biscuit is maybe the grossest thing I've experienced in awhile. We got a new basket and she was very apologetic, but it's just weird it would even happen in the first place. They even looked raw... Bf and I both did the make your own combo option. He went with salmon and shrimp scampi, I did fried coconut shrimp and grilled shrimp skewers. There was nothing super wrong with our meals, really. It just seemed so much lower in quality than I remember Red Lobster being. And the prices do not reflect that. I am not one to complain about paying for a good meal, but it was truly just sub par. Our salads were okay, just a mix of iceberg lettuce. Mine had some bad pieces I picked out. His salmon looked a little overdone but I didn't try it. He raved about the scampi, but c'mon... butter & garlic solve a multitude of kitchen sins. My coconut shrimp were very tasty, but more batter than shrimp. The skewers were alright, but a little underdone. I was so stuffed halfway through my meal I didn't even touch the baked potato. The restaurant itself looked a bit rough and could have used a deep cleaning. Walking to the bathroom I passed a server station that just had that gross kitchen/grease/wet smell that I realized was coming from the carpet. I love seafood and when I get a craving I always hit up my local Red Lobster. Although it may not be as fresh as being on the coast it is still very good. I have always enjoyed Red Lobster and can't wait to go back. I always have good food and good service. I was over at this location tonight... I've been to over 100 locations countrywide and this was the worst experience I've had... I was sat down and left to wait.. 15 minutes went by before my server (I think her name was Brady??? She was pregnant) came and got my drink order.. At this time I put in my order.. My food came about 20-30 minutes later... It tasted like it was left out.... dry and not that good tasting, but I was super hungry after working 14 hours that I ate it... My server finally checked in my me at the end of my meal... I asked for wet napkin as my hands were full of butter... She left me and forgot... I had all my personal belongings at the table and didn't want to touch them or leave... After 10 minutes I said screw it and washed up in the restroom... I haven't been to a Red Lobster in years so I'm not sure if my experience was indicative of the chain or not. The staff was very nice and friendly, and the restaurant itself was perfectly nice. The food, however, was gross. The crab legs were fine, I suppose. The mashed potatoes had obviously come from a bucket of pre-made with an ice cream scoop.
