I'll be the more recent review to bring a little balance back. The cashier tonight was very friendly and helpful. Our food took a while to come out but was super hot and fried to LJS best. Fries came out a little later and were piping hot. My girls love this fried haven and we a had nice visit. Thanks for the nice service and fried yummies! read more

We have been to this place on April 5th & May 1st. Both times the order was wrong when we got home. The 1st time we got fish instead of chicken. This time we got 12 hushpuppies & 6 fish! Not even close to what we ordered! We wasted our time & money. Never again! read more

Staff is frindly but that is as far as it goes. Ordered the fish & shrimp plate with fries and colslaw. Got it very fast but that is as much as can be said. The fires where ice Cold, the fish was very greasy and tasted as the oil had not been changed in 2 weeks. The shrimp where just as greasy and tasted as the where fried an hour before. The coleslaw was the highlite of the plate, sadly im sure it came from a cartin pre-made somewhere else. Sadly most small places like this are trying to do good but they all fail with poor quality food or sadly pre made form a can or cartin or bucket. If there is anything to be learn form this is the owner needs to use the best products and use fresh oil all the time. Oil is cheeper than lost customers. read more

Just read a lot of bad reviews and will add one of my own. Tried to order the family feast indicating how many pieces of chicken and fish I wanted. An employee repeated my order back correctly, but the good service ended there.When I got to the window I asked for six or seven cocktail sauce packets {got three] and verified that it came with shrimp and hush puppies. Received the correct sides, but no shrimp and the chicken and fish were not right. These employees either don't care, are poorly trained, high or all three. Will never go back and will relate my experience to friends. read more

The rat traps and the employees smoking out the front door should have been enough for me to turn around. The restaurant was disgusting, and the food was worse. I hadn't been to LJS since Covid and was craving fish and malt vinegar. I wasn't sure the dining room was open since all the business was drive through but I went inside. Two other customers. Staff was friendly but engaged in friendly conversation that included profanity. I'm not offended by cuss words but had no place in the business. They obviously forgot about my order and filled several drive thru orders before I walked to the end of the counter. After several minutes the staff noticed me and asked the kitchen about my food. After several more minutes the staff person called my number The ordering aisle was now full of two families with several children and I was at the end of the counter. I was told "we don't bring food to the end of the counter, you will have to come down here to get it. My choice was to wade through the crowd or walk around the finding room to the ordering aisle. Because of the time in my receipt I can verify it was 21 minutes before food made it to my table. Food was cold so no satisfaction there. I now see why everyone is drive thru! The restaurant is dirty. The floor is so slick with grease residue it's a fall hazard! And $15 for a small lunch is ridiculous. I may try another LJS but I will not visit this location again. read more

They have an interesting way of making money, just don't give you everything you order! We had hungry people waiting for the food and they left half the order out when they gave us the food (they remembered it to charge us for it though). Since we didn't want to drive back across town for cold food (no way they'd have made fresh for us), we just went to the mcdonalds. It was hot, fresh, cheaper AND they managed to actually give us all the food we paid for! What an amazing idea that is! I have NEVER had a good experience at this Long John Silvers, and advised against my family going there. I would recommend that anyone else avoid this place. If you want Long John Silvers, go to one in Lawrence or Manhattan, you will spend LESS TIME overall than waiting in line here and then having to go back to the restaurant to get the rest of your food!!! read more

So this place was a major disappointment. I hadn't been to a LJS in a very long time and was kind of craving it. The first time I tried to go, the restaurant was closed due to "unforeseen circumstances". I got back there a week later and the drive thru said "credit card machine not working in drive thru". I still followed my craving and ordered the two piece fish meal. I sat in the drive thru for a good 10-15 minutes, refusing to follow my gut to just drive away. The person working the drive thru could have cared less and couldn't have been less friendly if he tried and didn't give me the sauces I requested with my order. And the food was mediocre at best. No receipt so I couldn't do an online survey, but either way, sadly, I won't be back. read more

The staff is literally some of the nicest and best in town, they are always nice and always good people to be around. The food is also great, not the BEST but still really good if you are in the area. Bathrooms and cleanliness aren't the best which is why it's only 4 stars if I they work on those listed then it would definitely be a 5 star. Highly recommend read more
