I booked an appt to get my hair done at Long's Hair Studio on the 28th of October. I waited till today to write a review so I can see how my hair color turns out after a few hair washes. Yup, you saw a 5 star review from me which I extremely satisfied. The hair stylist told me to wait 3 days (72 hours) to wash my hair so the cuticle had time to close and the pigments also be able to lock into the hair fibres. I'm glad that I actually followed her guidelines lol. I could never leave my hair 2 days not washing, let alone 3 but I did and now, after many washes, my color is still looking great. i didn't even use purple shampoo or any shampoos that is specified for color treatment. Everyone in the salon was friendly and helpful. Their prices are a bit pricey but seeing how my hair turns out, I think it's worth it. I'm sad that I don't have any before and after pics because i was rushing to go get some dinner for my toddler, I've never expected getting hair done would take 4-6 hours lol. Overall, I highly recommend this salon to everyone. read more

I've come here twice, once in 2021 where Long the owner cut my hair and about two weeks ago with Henry. Both have very different personalities that fits each individual very well, though I'm more partial to a Henry because he doesn't talk much but can carry a conversation if you want. I told him, long layers and curtain bangs and he gave me just that, with minimal invasive questions, which I really appreciated. For the price I paid, I expected a better explanation for the hair process. I am from NY and I've gotten my hair done for more than 4 hours with a better explanation, better salon ambiance and better price. I got my hair done for 2ish hours here and paid 3/4 of the price I would've paid in NY (full service; bleach, balayage, haircut, blowdry with cut). But I gave 3 stars because I know they know what they are doing and even though there was a huge language barrier which left me anxious and confused during the whole process, my hair turned out better than expected. read more

Highly recommended. I've had two sessions done for permanent straightening and coloring. All staffs were very welcoming and professional. Because I had frizzy hair, Trish and Long takes time to advise me on what's best for my hair type instead of judging it like the other salons around town. I initially booked for Long, but Trish took over and did the entire straightening, coloring, and styling process, which I didn't mind because she was very kind and did an awesome job. I wanted a light blue color, but Trish advised its best to get a bit of darker blue because the bleaching process will badly damage my hair and the color won't turn out right because of the base color I had if I wanted light blue. Love the color of my new hair, thanks to Trish. I'm almost 45 minutes away from this salon but this will be my go-to salon because of the professionalism and quality. read more

This Hair studio was AMAZING! They knew how to cut my type of hair. My hair stylist was Stella. She was very considerate of my hair style and how I wanted it in the photos. I've been trying to achieve this right haircut for awhile with different barbers at my hometown, but none of them got to this point of superiority. Stella showed me what I couldn't do with my hair in the back because the pattern in which my hair grew prohibited that. She took no more than 2 minutes to figure out what she was going to do. Wow! I have found my lifetime stylist. I had very long (past my waist) hair. Not only was it long it's very thick. I have had many haircuts in the past, but I was never able to achieve the look I wanted. I like the layered 90s haircut and always ended up with an odd u shaped haircut with no body and tons of heaviness. I have looked for weeks for the right stylist and stumbled upon Long's on yelp and loved their work. Initially when I walked in I was nervous that I'd end up with a bad haircut because my hair was so long and full. But all those feeling went away as soon as I was greeted and sat to a chair. I think it may have been the owner who cut my hair, this man went straight to work. It's like he knew what I needed. I had shown him a photo, he looked at it and started from the bottom of my hair and worked his way up. By the time we were done over an hour had passed as he meticulously cut my hair and styled it. When he showed me my haircut, I was in awe. I couldn't believe how perfect he had done it. I am going to take my whole family to Long's from now on. First off, this is my first hair cut in 2 years. I came in with hair down to my chest for a men's hair cut. I wanted to keep my hair to a medium length, more of a shaggy look. The lady that cut my hair butchered it left it uneven and when I tried to tell her it was uneven she would just cut my hair even shorter each time just not listening at all. It got to a point where my hair was beyond what I wanted at all, and the sides were still uneven. There they attend to multiple different people at a time if they are doing coloring, I have a unique curl pattern so I tried to communicate that my hair will frizz up and puff up when it dries, but the lady that was cutting my hair just wouldn't listen. I asked her to shorten a certain area of my hair, but she would do it terribly, with out thinning it out at all. The lady was obviously rushing my haircut, she would get annoyed when I pointed out stuff that I wanted done, it was my first hair cut in 2 years I wanted it to be right however she wouldn't listen and rushed it so she could get to another customer. Another lady turned me down to cut my hair because she knew she wouldn't have enough time to cut it, the lady that cut my hair should have also known that my hair would take quite a bit of time to cut also, but she chose me and decided to do a rush job that was absolutely awful In the end, I went back after a few hours to get it recut by another person, while there i even noticed a girl crying because of something that the lady who cut my hair had done. The haircut i wanted was beyond achievable, i just wanted to even out the sides or fix it in anyway possible. The man who fixed my hair actually talked to me about what he could do, he actually tried to make it look good and not give me a terrible rush job of a cut. The hair cut I got was still not to my likely, it was short and I hated short hair. I wanted a long hair look still. I walked in hoping to get a shaggy messy look but walked out with a BTS hair style. Overall I was butchered and wont be stepping foot in there again read more

What is being listed on the pricing board may not match what you will be charged. Also, when you made a credit card payment, you will be charged with Cash Discount - started on the receipt. They are not actually giving you a discount, in fact, you will be charged extra for not paying in cash. I do not agree with such a business ethic. read more

They completely scammed and over charged my 16 year old daughter for a hair service. Charged 55 for her haircut, then told her to come back another day for the color part. Next visit charged her 345 for the color part. Total of 400.00. She learned a tough lesson, and she will not be going there again. read more

I finally got my hair re-cut and colored postpartum, and I had the greatest experience with Nancy! Very sweet and very friendly. I had balayage done with long strong Asian hair and then the price was reasonable for the service and work done. I also like how they do not use other heat sources to process the bleach faster because it would damage the hair more. It makes me feel like the stylists here know their hair!
