    Bun cha ha noi takeout
    Clara S.

I got takeout from this place with friends, and we all enjoyed our food. The prices are reasonable, and the dishes were fresh and flavorful. I love Bun Cha Ha Noi, and it came with grilled pork belly, pork patties, an egg roll, fish sauce, some veggies and noodles. This was tasty and fresh, though the pork belly was very difficult to get off the skewer. I also tried the spring roll, which was delicious as well with the peanut sauce. The chicken bao was decent - the chicken was on the drier side, but otherwise a good appetizer. Next time I'll have to go back and try the pho or bun bo hue at the restaurant!

I absolutely loved eating here. One of my favorite teas is Jasmine tea. This particular Saturday was freezing and straight away I asked if they had it for my friend and I to warm us up. Not may restaurants serve Jasmine tea. It was such a treat that they had it! Delicious. For appetizers we had the Vietnamese spring rolls and the pork belly. Outstanding. Everyone you just have to eat here it's so good. The pork was crispy on the outside, perfectly seasoned, and chewy on the inside. Juicy too. It was so good. I wish they had just brought out a small bowl of it. The spring rolls were generously stuffed and the peanut sauce it came with was on point and only enhanced by the table hoisin sauce. I would eat here daily if I could. Anyone who lives in this area is so spoiled to have this down the street. For the Pho, I had the meat combo so I got a little bit of everything. My only feedback would be that the veggies that come with the soup are sparse and I wish more Thai basil came on the plate. They loaded up on the bean sprouts though and that was awesome. Really I am being picky and everything here is top notch. The place is smaller so I'd recommend visiting on off-peak hours so you can spread out and relax with some tea. I really enjoyed myself here. Really, what are you waiting for? Go!

My first time trying Vietnamese food. I don't like spicy food, so i thought Vietnamese food was too spicy for my palate. The waitress said most of the menu items were not spicy. This place has spicy optons and bottles of siracha on all the tables. I ordered Bun Cha Ha Noi (Traditional Vietnamese Pork Dish). It waz delicious perfection!! This place is nice and cozy, service was fast.

Reminiscent of Vietnam A spot that is deserving of recognition within the area. Recently Coming back from my home country Vietnam, Long An is highly reminiscent of the food I had; especially their bun cha noodles.. from the savory grilled nem patty and fried eggrolls, nuoc mam perfecty adjusted for taste, the herbs and noodles.. all combined together to satisfy the palate with a rich flavorful experience. They really nailed down the dish just like Vietnam. The authenticity in the food is what keeps me coming back every time I go to Chicago.. I would drive a 45 minutes from downtown just for this place. The owners of the restraunt (Brad and Lily) are lovely people! Their hospitality shines after my visits: they will take care of you and make you feel welcomed as if you are in someone's home. The ambiance makes me feel at ease! Highly recommend the place for those who are seeking authenticity in Vietnamese cuisine. Will be coming back here next time I'm in thre area!

We enjoyed our lunch at this small Vietnamese eatery in this popular strip mall. The pork egg rolls were crispy and flaky. My friend enjoyed the chicken bao (2) and we shared some crispy fried wings. They were plain, kinda basic, although nicely crisp. I had the Bun Cha Hai Noi which came out on a tray and my friend and I could have shared. The pork belly skewers were so tender and I loved all the fresh herbs, bean sprouts and other add ins to customize this cold noodle soup/salad. And it came with another egg roll! Delicious food, service was fast and friendly, and I'm happy to say they DO accept credit cards. Will def come back again!

Bun Cha Ha Noi (Traditional Vietnamese Pork Dish), Vietnamese Spring Rolls (2 pcs), Hot Jasmine Honey Tea (16 oz)

Ordered delivery from here via Uber Eats during a recent visit to Chicago. The traditional bun dish was good--the pork skewers were the more flavorful option vs the patties and the spring roll that came with the dish was also tasty. The spring rolls and hot jasmine honey tea was also good. Appreciated that everything was packaged with care for the delivery itself. One suggestion for the business would be to consider switching to more sustainable/eco-friendly takeout containers and utensils. Otherwise, would order again!

    Steak Pho (Pho Tai)

Came back for a big bowl of pho and it was delicious just like I remembered! The flavors are spot on and taste like it's been simmering all day. The beef and chicken baos were both yummy appetizers as well as a Thai iced coffee. The interior could have been a bit warmer in temperature and we had to keep our winter coats on.

Yum yum! Came here for the first time with my bestie. We are pho hounds so trying a new place is something not unusual to us. We came in around lunch time and it wasn't very packed which was nice. **Beware, the signage for the restaurant is a bit smaller than everything else around it so it was a little daunting to find but the lady we talked to when we called was super sweet and she helped us find it.** The interior was brightly lit, tables were clean and they had hand sanitizer at every table which was nice to see. Customer service is prompt and efficient. We ordered: veggie bao, pho with eye round steak and beef shank, veggie pho with plant based meat balls and tofu, rose milk tea and brown sugar milk tea with boba. The veggie baos were a bit smaller than expected but tender and fresh ingredients. The veggies added a nice crunch and added some needed texture to the bao. My friend said her veggie pho was tasty. I have to agree with her regarding my eye round steak and beef steak pho. It was also tasty and the broth was good. I do wish they added a bit more meat because I got a lot of noodles, a tasty broth but not a lot of meat which was disappointing. So the beef to noodle and broth ratio was a little....off. My friend enjoyed her brown sugar boba saying that it wasn't too sweet or too bland, nice mixture of both. I thought my boba was good but I wasn't too crazy about the actual pearls, too chewy for my liking. I also got a grilled pork belly banh mi to go and my bf said it was good. Bread was fresh and good amount of pork belly inside. Also, he said the pork belly had a nice, crispy, sweet and slightly savory taste to it. Overall, while it was good here, certain things were lacking. Would I come back? Probably. Would it be sooner than expected? Doubtful. Price is moderate for what you get here and bottom line: if you're in the area, wouldn't hurt to check it out but if not, nothing to rush here for.

Inside was nice, super clean and modern. I love the decor. After sitting here and looking at the menu I was surprised on how affordable it was. We ordered pho (forgot to picture) and spring rolls and bun cha noodles. Food came out and it looked pretty good! After taking the first bite. I was shocked. Presentation was good but why was the flavor NOT THERE. It didn't have that umami rich broth that I'm so used to. Being from California I should have known better, but I was craving pho and wanted to try this place. The pho needs some fish sauce or some more bone stock/ beef stock. It just was not hitting the spot. I'm so sad. I will say the coffee I got was good and the spring rolls I love how chewy and the texture of the rolls were. Those were super good to me! The vermicelli dish was OK. Nothing crazy it was good but needed some more veggies and meat options for it. Overall the food was OK, server was friendly and out going. I believe this is Korean Owned so the flavors aren't spot on like what I'm used to back home. I would come back if I was desperate but I wouldn't go out of my way or have this first in my list. idk how the viet food is out here but so far it has NOT BEEN THE MOVE

    Vegan roll and Spring roll
    Cici C.

Ordered 3 pho and 3 appetizers for takeout. Foods were ready so fast. The coconut almond shrimp was just kind of your typical fried shrimp. The spring rolls were of thick rice noodles, the sauce was not bad, it's not too sour or sweet. The vegan roll was a bit weird, not sure if I'm a fan of the vegan beef slices, it doesn't have much taste. The vegan pho broth was a bit flat in flavor compared to what a pho broth would taste like. There were vegan meat balls and fish balls, but all of them taste a bit artificial, not bad but not great either. Not much flavor overall. The toppings were fresh. Oreo taro was pretty good, but does taste like from powdered milktea base. Overall, really not bad but the flavor was a bit lacking, and for the quantity and quality of the foods it definitely feels overpriced.

The food was good, but a very Korean twist to Vietnamese food is how I would describe it. The service was great and fast. The staff were friendly. I love the aesthetics of the restaurant.

My husband and I went to LongAn Restaurant to meet a friend. This is a small restaurant with a small seating area. We ordered the #1 Bun Cha Ha Noi (Traditional Grilled Pork Dish) (Grilled pork belly, pork patties, an egg roll and homemade fish sauce) and the #3 Bun Nem Nuong (Pork Sausage Noodle Salad) (Vietnamese pork sausage, 1 pork eggroll, 1 shrimp eggroll). The food was amazing. It was fresh, crisp, and full of flavor. There are a lot of Asian restaurants in this shopping center, so you have to be good to survive. LongAn is very good and we look forward to coming back to try more. I highly recommend LongAn Restaurant!

The place has options of seating - inside and outside, ranging from metal chairs to comfortable upholstered benches. We got the tom kha to begin with, which my husband, who's not vegetarian, devoured. It was truly delicious! We then got the Kung Pao with mushrooms and it was incredible - the flavors, the choice of vegetables, the sauce - all of it! We also got a chow mein but with rice noodles - this was the one dish that could take some improvement. Granted, the original recipe calls for wheat noodles, and that might be really good, though our rice noodles version of it was came out soggy. Our server had clearly had a long day - she was tired and forgetful (didn't bring us rice and we had a hard time flagging her down to request it). She also just brought us the check after dinner, without asking if we wanted any dessert. All in all, highly recommend this place for delicious plant-based food.

I've had many clutch spots over the years as I moved around, but it took me a minute to find my North Shore go-to. But here I am, a local for half a year now, and my go-to is Ni's, 100%. Lisa, the owner extraordinaire, is friendly, engaging, and an absolute customer service star. Not to mention a formidable chef. She has an obvious passion for food and its cultural history, and I love talking with her about it. The whole crew at Ni's is awesome and always happy to chat or handle any dish alterations. They clearly care about their clientele, and it's one of the things that keeps me coming back. My "must have" is the veggie summer rolls. I get them every time. Really, really good. And after living in the Vietnamese neighborhood of San Francisco for a few years, eating out almost daily, I've had my fair share of summer rolls. The produce at Ni's is always fresh, and I love how they cleverly use jicama for crunch. The rolls come with peanut sauce, but Ni's makes a delicious vegan fish sauce in-house that I go with almost every time. Banh Mi, Veggie Pho, Crispy Tofu, Fried Rice, I've had everything on the menu that is vegan or can be made so, and I'll gladly order them all again and again. This is not an all-vegan restaurant by any stretch (fear not, meat eaters), but Lisa goes out of her way to have options, and I've never been anything but satisfied. Even my kindergartner is into the veggie Pho broth and summer rolls, and he's not the easiest to please. Wilmette is lucky to have Ni's. I hope everyone knows that. They're tucked around the corner from the busier area of Central Ave and Wilmette Ave, and I've been doing my best to spread the word. "You've never been to Ni's?! Get the hell outta here.." Ordering was a breeze and the guys were always open to a conversation or giving suggestions. The restaurant was clean and the meal was always tasty. Just a note but the further away you move from any major city the fewer and harder it is to find great Asian food. The suburb is lucky to have them. The pandemic brought new staffing. Some were pleasant with customers though one lady, a supervisor had the wrong ideas of what customer service and proper etiquette is. Just the basics of my final visit. I took my family for lunch. We ordered lunch specials and a couple extra must-try plates. Two specials hit the table and the third was left waiting for her meal. Unbeknownst to us in the moment, her food was handed to a single patron there for his lunch. The place was filling up with a lunch rush but not so many that had complicated orders. Many were ordering similar lunch specials. Kung pao lunch special was popular. When her order finally arrived the supervisor realized she had given the wrong plate to the customer sitting some tables behind us. Mind you ten minutes had already passed. She quickly went over to him and asked what he had ordered. She then took the plate he was eating from and handed him the fresh plate. He was still holding a half eaten egg roll in his hand. Then she brought the quarter eaten plate and placed it in front of my mother. Before she could leave I stopped her and asked her what she was doing. She simply stated that was her lunch order. I told her she handed my mother someone else's food that they were eating and I watched the whole thing. Why didn't you take that to the back and make a completely new plate of food?! I paid the bill and got the F**k out. That's gross. Also, you gave the other patron new food but cannot do the same for our table?? This place is dead to me. If she could do that, it beckons the question of what else is happening behind the scenes.

Viet Fusion is exceptional. The Bun Bo Bue was very good and flavorful. Similar to other reviews,…read moreit says its spicy but if you like spicy foods, you will need to add to make it more spicy. They bring out two different spicy oils. The one with the mini peppers and oil is much hotter than the chili oil. The service is slower than I expected but very friendly and you can hear them making the food so you know it's fresh. We also ordered crab Rangoon which was pretty typical but a nice appetizer. I ordered the Thai Iced Coffee and it was very bitter even with the condensed milk they add. Overall, I would like to return. Excellent restaurant.

When I got home, the broth was still piping hot and all of the components were easy to put together. Everyone was so excited to eat, I didn't get to take a pic! I did, however, manage to take one of the egg rolls--these were also amazing! The filling was flavorful and the wrapper light and crisp. The accompanying sauce was sweet with just the right amount of heat. At pick up, the restaurant was spacious and well lit. The set-up looked really nice and inviting as well. Next time I'm in the area I would not hesitate to dine in.

TRASH and this place is RACIST AF. Didn't think it was possible for a fellow minority to be like…read morethis to another minority, but here we are. I NEVER leave negative reviews as I spent over 18 years working in food & beverage, and I know how incredibly difficult it can be for small businesses to maintain a good reputation... but I absolutely cannot look past this. My family went in there for lunch today and the man working at the counter gave us the worst dining experience of our lives. For 4 people, we ordered 3 meals + 1 pho to share. Guy asks, "would you like extra bowls?" We said yes, and under his breath he said, "Ha, typical" .... As if that weren't enough, as we were completing the order and walking away, he said, "ha, Mexicans." Despite the disrespect we STILL didn't say anything. But then my dad went up to the service counter to ask a question and the guy who was working responded with, "Que Paso?" in a mocking way. At this point, we had enough of the blatant disrespect. I love my Mexican brothers, sisters & neighbors... oftentimes, I consider it a compliment to be mistaken for Mexican (we are Filipino- lots of similarities in our cultures)... that is not what I take issue with. I take issue with the fact that he said it in a derogatory, offensive, and racist manner. I am sickened by the implication that race or ethnicity has anything to do with the service we deserve. This man had the nerve to do that to my elderly parents who have legally been in America for over 40 years. This behavior is inexcusable. Once again, I worked in food & beverage for over 18 years. My family is well-versed in showing kindness to their servers, tipping well over 20%, and giving grace - even when service sucks or mistakes are made. It's unfortunate that this business didn't have the opportunity to earn our repeat business; it probably could have helped them out since it appears that they're already struggling (every seat was empty - wonder why)
