Longboard Cafe for dinner was a last minute decision made on a whim and it sure didn't disappoint. My wife found Longboard Cafe and we immediately thought the menu looked great. We arrived a little before happy hour ended in hopes we could score bar seats. The bar was packed and the restaurant had over an hour wait to be seated. We put our name in, grabbed a drink from the bar, and pondered our next move. Luckily, before we could even finish our drink our table was ready. We were seated upstairs with one other party away from the crowd and the noise. I will say that every single employee we encountered from the hostess, to the bartender, our server, and even the bussers were all incredibly warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to ensure service was up to par. My wife wanted to start with The Kitchen Sink (Nachos with salsa, guacamole, and queso). A great little appetizer to split and pick at while looking over the menu. All three were very good but I thought the guac really stood out. We also ordered the Longboard Wings which aren't your traditional buffalo wings but were delicious in their own right with incredible crunch. As long as you like sticky, sweet wings these wings are for you. For entrees we had the Longboard Burger, Ahi Burger, Fried Cod Tacos, and Yang Yang Cauliflower Bites. The food came out looking great. Bright colors filled the plates and presentation was on point. Our meals were a hit. My dad liked his burger. My mom loved the Cauliflower (which we all loved too because my mom shared it with us). My ahi burger was delicious, and something out of the ordinary for me, despite a few strands of tough connective tissue I had to eat around. The batter on my wife's fried Cod tacos was light and crisp, and the fish itself was flaky. I just wish the sandwiches came with fries instead of pasta salad or mixed greens. After a very satisfying lunch here, we returned for dinner. Warning! Make a reservation... especially if you want to come on a Friday or Saturday night, but really, just make one no matter the occasion or time. They get really busy here and for good reason. On an island without many good food options, this place stands out. Nice atmosphere, plenty of options on the lunch or dinner menus, good portions, quality food and nice cocktails too. At this point, we've tried lunch, dinner, bringing the dog, no dog, burgers, tacos, their classic wings, shrimp with crab imperial, crab cakes and several cocktails and mocktails. Service was excellent during both of our visits and I really felt like they cared. The waitress, the one who brought our cocktails, the one who brought our food... everyone just gave off that vibe and had a passion for making customers happy. I particularly liked the "New Fashioned" cocktail, which was like an Old Fashioned with some Grand Marnier. Really tasty. My shrimp crown imperial was okay, but those shrimp on top of the tasty crab really needed some more char. They're supposed to be grilled shrimp, but tasted more like steamed. Overall though, awesome place to eat in a town that has few good options. After two visits and trying this much of the menu, Longboard has definitely earned a spot in our Ocean City rotation. read more

Enjoying a wonderful few days in Ocean City MD, and found this wonderful restaurant. The staff were warm and welcoming and the decor was authentically beachy without being at all kitschy. The real star was the food! I ordered the Longboard Wings and my gosh they are fabulous perfectly cooked and sauced, sweet spicy but not too hot, served with celery and oh my the blue cheese! Let's just say if you like blue cheese you won't be disappointed. I ate every bit of it and was grateful for the wipes to help clean up afterwards. My husband got the burger with grilled pineapple which he also enjoyed. I decided to try one of their mocktails which was deliciously refreshing and helped make a special meal even better. I have been to longboards many times and it is a great stop after a day on the beach. They have everything you could want: sandwiches, tacos, salads, entrees, and great apps. I got the fresh fish and it was just ok. It needed more of a sauce rather than mango salsa. My husband got 2 pounds of wings as his dinner and loved every minute of it. The addiction wings are award winning for a reason. I did not order some of my favorites tonight, but are worth mentioning. The franchos, wrinkly green beans, and any of the wings. I often just order the franchos and wings to split with my husband as our entire meal. There is also great indoor and outdoor seating options. When they expanded and put the bar on a different side, it opened the restaurant up a lot and made it so much more enjoyable. Very kid friendly with good kids meals. While I vacation, we decided to try somewhere new and I have to say, Longboard did not disappoint. I got the Longboard wings, which are their award winning flavor! I then ordered the Shrimp Crown Imperial. It was so filling. The portion of crab was huge. My parents ordered pan seared scallops and the seafood pasta. Our server was attentive and helpful. I have been here a couple times so far and that is not enough. Sadly, I live over two hours away so only get in during my ocean city trips which I wish were way more often. Last summer was my first visit after seeing some friends recommend and following them on social media. We had their longboard wings, veggie wrap and jerk chicken wrap. Everything was DELICIOUS! On Wednesday of this week I stopped in for lunch with my dog and we sat on the 'boardwalk' which is what they call part of their outdoor section. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. They offer a water bowl and a complimentary piece of bacon for the pups. My dog was thrilled as you can see by one of the pics =) On this visit I tried the wrinkled green been app and the St. Croix chopped salad. Both were very good. My dog ordered the kids burger plain with no bun. He had no complaints! I stole his fries which were yummy. Luke was our server on my most recent visit. He provided excellent service! He even helped me gain some more insight on bringing a large party there later this year. He got me in touch with one of the managers and I am currently coordinating with them. While visiting Ocean City, MD with my family, my husband searched for the best restaurants in town. He made the reservation (please make your reservation ahead of time, because the place is always full). We went on a Tuesday and were seated outside (while making your booking, you can choose where you want to be seated: inside or outside). The hosts were very nice. The place is clean and smells good. Our waiter was welcoming and polite. We ordered the Mexican street corn, the warm chips with the kitchen sink, their best-seller chicken wings, and 2 burgers. I must say, EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. This restaurant is so good that our last dinner was here. That night we ordered the Bonzai chicken wings (DELICIOUS), and chicken and steak tacos. We visited the Longboard Cafe on a Friday night in February and ate in the "enclosed patio" space since the indoor space was full (yes, in February!). It was a bit chilly whenever someone opened the door and took a little getting used to. Still, the meal was very much worth the price of admission and service was impeccable. I booked it because of the central location in O.C., their big & varied menu, and the fact that I could make an online reservation. They open at 11:00 am. I arrived about 15 minutes early for my noon reservation, and only a few tables were filled. But by noon, the place was packed, with several large parties. This place is really popular. The server was very nice and the food was excellent. I enjoyed the Chicken Caesar wrap. The pasta salad side was quite good, and a huge portion. Others had the cream of crab soup, a BLT, the mushroom blue cheese burger and other sides like coleslaw. Cream of crab soup was rich and filled with just enough chunks of crab meat. The Baja fish taco with flour tortilla was not bad. The only flaw was that the sauce they put on it made the fish a bit soggy on the majority of the deep fried fish.And the batter was a bit bitter. The citrus shrimp taco with flour was good. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. The toppings and seasoning blended very well. The cabbage gave the taco a great crunchy texture with each bite. The tacos were accompanied with chips. We came around 5:30 and there were no available seats since they are one of the few places that take reservations so I highly recommend making a reservation. We ended up sitting outside at a table in the sun, but it worked perfectly for us. The service at this place was 10/10. Very attentive. They had bogo happy hour on a Saturday which is amazing! The food was ok for the price. Shrimp tacos were good but immediately fell apart on the corn tortilla. The famous wings were great, crispy, and came out hot and fresh. The sauce was a little thick and made it heavy, but these wings seem to be breaded and had the texture of fried chicken instead of regular wings. Edit: I came back ordering takeout and got the buddha salad, green beans with secret sauce, burger, and wings. The food was MUCH better this time. The buddha salad was so delicious and great portion sizes. Homemade dressing was a hit too. The green beans were good and I love the sauce. Good reviews for the burger. This is the second of two reviews, we religiously stop at Longboard for lunch as we were leaving Ocean city MD. The hostess sat us in the same table as 4 days prior, and we had the same waiter (Gabe). He straight up recognized us, ask me if i wanted the soup again (Jamaican spiced chx and rice - $8) and extra hot, to which i said yes. Look that wife and asked about the street corn $6, to which she said yes. Looked at the kid, and said chx tenders and fries $10, we laughed and said yes. We added the chips with kitchen sink $15 (maybe a little expensive, but very good). And as always, that damn soup was excellent, and well worth the $9, and a wanted a second bowl. But, i order the al pastor tacos (and asked for a 3rd taco). This time the tacos were stacked, and super tasty as always, and worth the $24. The wife loved her street corn, and the kid actually ate her chx tenders. The wife ordered the Tuscan turkey sandwich, which she enjoyed, and well worth the $16. read more

Had a very good experience at Longboard. Food at dinner was good. The hamburger buns, made in-house, are particularly good. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The fact that the waitress came to our table just before Happy Hour ended and told us "I can get you another beer for free with our Happy Hour 2-for-1 special if I order it before 6:00pm." took them from four stars to five stars. One funny odd thing...I thought that it was standard that the shaker with more holes is salt, and the one with less holes is pepper. Longboard does it the opposite. Wife and I visited Longboard Cafe as one of our last meals in Ocean City. You would be wise to make reservations for this place as it's difficult to get in without one. They have parking in front, it's along a strip with a couple other places. We were placed in the side corner of the restaurant which was fine for seating, can get a little loud as the table behind us was the party table and let's just say they were a little too rambuntious, but that didn't stop us from enjoying our meal. Our server, I believe her name was Whitney was outstanding! We couldn't land on what we wanted for an app but she recommended the Famous Wrinkled Green Beans. They're flash fried with a secret sweet sauce, terrific. I would get them again and again, very tasty and delicious, definitely have a good thing going with those. For my entree I got the Baja Fish tacos, they were pretty good size. Nice slaw on them and a good piece of fish. I didn't particularly care for the tortilla chips it came with, didn't exactly go with the fish tacos, would've liked the see a rice or swap it out for a potato. My wife got the St. Croix Chopped which she said was the best salad she ate on our trip, would've went back for that alone. Came with some grilled chicken, chopped greens, bacon, blue cheese, cashews, roasted corn and some Granny Smith apples. Definitely a decent place worth visiting, make a reservation! read more

Longboards is one of my favorite places to come in Ocean City. Not only is the food delicious but it comes out SO FAST. The service is so nice and they really make sure that you are well taken care of. The decor inside is so cute and they have a little market where you can buy sauces and some fresh products. My family LOVES the appetizer order of green beans.... They are the perfect amount of wrinkly while not being mushy and have the best balsamic reduction on them.... I could eat a large order by myself. This place was a great! If you're staying at the hotel next door (Home2 Suites by Hilton Ocean City Bayside), it's like a 2-minute walk from the hotel door. Nice and conveniently close! I figured coming in January would mean not-so-crowded, but no! On a Friday night, this place was hopping and there were only a few open tables in the overflow room. Our waitress was very friendly and quick as she could be with so many customers. The inside of the main area was crowded and noisy; it's a pub, after all. They also sell a lot of local goods, including some of their sauces. Okay food. Ahem. GET THE LONGBOARD WINGS. If you have any appreciation for wings, you will love these. There's a reason they've been awarded Best Wings in Ocean City several years running. Their correctly named Addiction Sauce is the star, and the blue cheese and bacon dust take you right up to the edge of "this is too much" without crossing that line. Would absolutely get these again. My wife got the Island Frachos appetizer for her meal. It's basically the most insane loaded fries with your typical nacho toppings. I went for the rockfish "Catch of the Day." It was well-cooked and the side of green beans and baby potatoes were a nice accompaniment. I do wish there was more to the sides, otherwise the fish was overpowering. I also felt like they skimped on the lemon-caper sauce, so the dish was overall just needing more. There's an impressive drink selection. I went for the "New Fashioned," which was an orange-y take on the Old Fashioned. A little sweet, but overall not bad. My wife went for something tropical. One of my favorite places in Ocean City! They now have enclosed outdoor seating and a beautiful surfer vibe inside to enjoy while trying to pick your favorite thing from their delightful menu. Every time I go, I love what I order. This time my mom and I ordered the Smashburger tacos with an orange crush. It came with fresh made chips and a corn salsa. DeLish.
