Had a really nice last minute massage yesterday. The entire space looked lovely and felt calm and welcoming. In fact, the aesthetic of the entire space was perfect for a day spa. It felt nice to be there. There was none of the feel that you get from "chain" day spas. The staff were very pleasant and genuinely nice and engaging. I had a 90 minute deep tissue massage - it was a good, firm massage, but not what I would call deep tissue in the classic sense-I'd probably characterize it as more of a sports massage. One of the worst experiences I ever had. Was on vacation and visited here for a massage and facial. Spoke with the massage therapist prior to massage and advised her that I get monthly massages back at home and that I could take and wanted deep tissue. She barely massaged with little to no pressure. She didn't even massage my entire body. She never touched my full shoulders, back, or arms. The massage was supposed to be an hour but she was done before the time. Also I booked the summer special that was to include a scrub. Come to find out the scrub can only be applied to one area, so I choose my feet. Then she left the rest of the scrub and a wet towel saying I could apply the rest on myself if I wanted to. Once it was over I was never asked how it was or how I felt by the therapist or the owner who was there sitting up front. Next was my facial. I had booked the signature but the esthetician said that she was really booked and didn't have time so I had to get the express. And to top the whole experience off they charged my card twice and I contacted them about it only for them to say that they didn't. I now have to have my bank handle the double charges. I was so upset and disappointed with the service I received. I was with someone else who was celebrating an occasion and they actually enjoyed their services so I didn't want to ruin the experience for them. I just chalked this experience and my money spent up as a lose. I actually booked an appointment with my normal massage therapist back home as I sat in the waiting area here while waiting for my facial which took forever to get called back for. read more

She worked through my tightness and trigger points I prayed her next appt would cancel so I could extend! I previously received a prenatal massage at longevity and it was perfect! Yesterday dated 10-19-19 @ 1:00 pm, also waited closed to 20 minutes for it a mess, was a disaster, I do not believe the person conducting the massage is profesional trained in prenatal massage and I'd be surprised if she was certified! I'm coming to the end of my pregnancy and I really really was looking forward to unwind and relax taking the stress off my back... instead I became extremely frustrated, uncomfortable and irritated that I was not dealt with properly and put in this position. I was faced completely up, flat on my back which is known to be not good for the baby and also suffocating for me. My previous prenatal massage was conducted 100% on my sides. I'm so upset it's ruined my weekend. What makes it worse is that even though I asked to stop the massage half way through I was asked to pay for half the massage!
