Ribeye, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, shrimp and Sweet Potato
    Shevon M.

I have visited many other Longhorns in the past and they have not been my favorite. My steaks have always been tougher than other places. After this visit we will definitely return. We arrived at 5pm on Friday evening. Cara our server came right over and through the meal provided excellent service! Great personality! She wasn't over the top but gave us what we needed when we needed it and we wanted for nothing. I love when a server gives their opinions on the options, who would know better? I ordered the 12 oz ribeye, brussels sprouts (which were amazing and a nod given from Cara) and the sweet potato with 6 shrimp and a Strawberry Margarita. Everything was delicious and came out in great timing. My steak was not super tough as in the past. I think we left around 7:30 and there was a long wait at the front door. Shows folks around here know a good place when they see one.

Oh - it looked so promising from all the photos! Alas, it was not. The Onion Soup was barely warm. Salad overdressed. The burger was good - the fries had to be sent back because they were ice cold. The ribeye did not have a sear on it. The twice-baked potato had minimal portions of all the goodness it was supposed to have. But the real culprit? It was the lack of picking up dirty dishes between each course. So look closely in the pic - we are finally at dessert, having to lean over the remnants of our first course (salad/soup) and second course, entrees. We had even asked our server to pick up the plates, which did not happen. This wasn't just our table - it was everyone's table. And then you pay by scanning the QVC code at your table. There were runners dropping food off at the tables, but for some reason management deemed it not necessary to have bus persons pick up dirty dishes. I am going to assume that is to turn the tables as quickly as they can. Not a fan.

Horrible queue on a Friday night. Called in earlier to place name in line. Told to come in 45mins later. Arrived and only to be given a device and told to wait another 35mins. Is this the modus operandi? Anyone care to explain what's the practice for steakhouses or restaurants around here... I'd be keen to listen. Update: the waitress is amazing, chirpy and friendly. Love the consistent cowboy/native indians and longhorn decor that dot the walls.

Lunch: third puns cheeseburger and salad. Was good, have to order condiments it doesn't come with, $7.99

There was a hair in my food. Management accused me of putting it there myself. Better off spending your money anywhere else.

You order at the counter and they prepare your food as you are on the other side of the glass. There is one person that does the meat and then the tray gets passed to the next person who gets your sides for you. Then you move to the register where you give your drink order and pay your tab. You are given the option to pay with a card or get a discount for cash. You get your drinks and find a table. As busy as they were, we wondered if we would be able to find a table. There were plenty of they also have some tables outside but it was super hot. I had the pulled pork plate and my son and husband both had the chopped brisket. The pork was good but the brisket was amazing. Brisket is amazing when done right and this was done very right. Full of flavor and moist and juicy. AMAZING. You have three different sauces you can try. They are at the tables. Hot, regular and mustard based. All had great flavor and the hot wasn't real hot. As sides we had the Brunswick stew, Mac and Cheese and cheesy hash browns. The Brunswick stew is less chunky and more fine. The flavor was good. The Mac and cheese was very creamy in a white cheese sauce. It was really good. The hash browns were full of flavor. I would definitely order the Mac and cheese and hashbrowns again but probably would skip the Brunswick stew. Not that it wasn't good. I would just try other menu items first. Just FYI. No alcohol. But you're coming here for the food. You won't even miss having an adult beverage. The tea is freshly brewed and all you need. All three of us left stuffed. I took half of my meal home with me. They definitely give you plenty to eat. We shared a banana pudding at the end because my son wanted to try it. It was very rich and creamy. Not sure if it is available every day because the menu just offers a dessert of the day. Two of us shared it and there was plenty to share. Of course, this was after we each had already eaten our dinners. And we're already stuffed. But the person at the table behind us was raving about how good it was so we couldn't resist. The employees were friendly and they kept the line moving. There were two kind ladies out in the dining area refilling drinks and making sure tables were cleaned as soon as people left. This is the kind of food you dream about after you've been there. So very good. We will definitely be back soon.

A half hour after we sat down another server showed up with our food, which they somehow messed up. My friend ordered the kids pulled pork sandwich with a side of coleslaw and a banana pudding. They brought the coleslaw ON the sandwich instead of a side of coleslaw. Explained it to waitress number 2 who took the sandwich back to get it corrected and bring us some pork rinds. A couple mins later reappeared with pork rinds and a kids pulled pork sandwich with the coleslaw on the side - like a 1 oz bbq sauce size plastic cup of coleslaw, not a side order of coleslaw. My friend just shook her head and let it ride because now it was almost 45 mins after we sat down. Our receipt wasn't itemized so we couldn't even check to see what we were charged for. The bbq is still great at this location, but the service was not last night.

I ordered a pound of "chopped" brisket, half rack of ribs and quart of slaw. Also vinegar sauce. Didn't check the order before leaving. My mistake. The brisket was sliced not chopped ( this happens more often) and they had regular sauce and not the vinegar sauce. The brisket was over cooked, dry and needed sauce. Ribs were dry as well and disappointing. The slaw was great though. It's the little things that make the difference and I'll pass on this place. It's worth the drive to Greenville for Lewis BBQ.

Please smile when guests come into your establishment. They only do brisket seasonal I guess? So I went with the pulled pork platter and added one hot dog. These portions were HUGE and that is not always a good thing. The quality of this food was so under sub par. Everything was overcooked and had no flavor. Pulled pork was dang near turning into mush when you went to eat it. The corn that's wrapped in that foil, tasted like boiled corn water. It's like it just sits in a hot water bath and gets pulled to order which is not how you should serve corn on the cob. Mac n cheese, also mushy and no salt. The only thing that was edible was the hotdog, and for a bbq place I think that's quite sad. Also the bbq sauce was probably the only tasty or flavorful thing there. I legit didn't eat my food and tossed it because at this point I value Quality over Quantity of food. I don't plan on returning and I feel like it was a huge disappointment for a long standing local bbq place. Perhaps the people in the area enjoy it because they don't have tastebuds and enjoy bland food because you get a lot of it. Sorry, Do not recommend.

It isn't just that their BBQ Ribs, Pork, and Chicken are the best around, it is that they do everything else better as well! Ribs: dry or wet, they are spectacular. I prefer the dry just because they aren't as messy and let the flavor of the meat shine, but found the wet ribs freeze and thaw better (and still were some of the best ribs ever!). Chopped Pork: so flavorful and juicy. No sauce needed. Brunswick Stew: the best I've ever had. I drank a quart of it straight from the styrofoam cup. That's why I bought 2 quarts... I bought this entire meal to go, froze the leftovers for 2 weeks, thawed them, and just had a BBQ feast that noone else could touch! Now, on to the appetizers - their potato crisps, nacho chips, and cheese sticks are ridiculous. The portions are over-the-top, and they taste better than anywhere else. Italian and Mexican restaurants have nothing on these! Then you get to the fish and shrimp. Surely a BBQ restaurant can't do seafood well, right? Sadly for the local seafood places...Creekside does it better again! You will never have a tastier piece of fried catfish or shrimp than right here. And that is coming from me after a 20 minute drive home - if I ate it at the restaurant, I'm not sure I could stand it. Everything I've gotten at Creekside has been well above my expectations, no matter how many times I go. This includes their great customer service, as well. I will admit, I've never tried any dessert or anything "green" here, as the BBQ, sides, and seafood are just so good I don't want to waste room on sweets or veggies. If I want a dessert, I'll pour a little bit of their sweet BBQ sauce on a piece of brisket, and the Brunswick Stew has tomatoes, corn, and onions - all the veggies I'll ever need! Seriously though, every other BBQ restaurant I go to makes me wish I had just gone to Creekside instead - you won't find better, I guarantee!
