Pros- We were seated immediately and the food was good. We ordered the Wild West Shrimp as an appetizer. The shrimp were excellent! The plate was a little clunky. They just threw chopped peppers on one end of the plate but it was still tasty and I would order again. The salad was nice & fresh. My chopped steak was about 1/4" thick. It was a little shocking but the flavor was good. My husband really enjoyed his ribeye. Cons- we were seated for 14 minutes before we were ever greeted. We ordered our entire meal when she took our drink order. We were there for 20 minutes before we got our drinks. Our server brought bread to the table with our drinks. We didn't see her again for a while so we asked another server for a knife for the bread. We were told they were in the dishwasher and he could bring us a plastic knife. We also had to use napkins to dry our bread plates because they were dripping wet. Our shrimp appetizer came out and we asked for silverware. None was brought. Our salad came out shorty thereafter. We asked for silverware again. It was brought several minutes later. We then had a 30 minute wait between our salad and our entree. During this time we never saw our server. Our entrees came out with mashed potatoes on each plate. We both ordered baked potatoes. We asked about the mix up. After a talk with the kitchen we were told they were out of baked potatoes so they just switched them out without asking us. Overall, the food was good. The service was not! read more

Visited Longhorn yesterday around 1pm. Front hostess was not at the station and after waiting for about 5 minutes she came up and we were seated. My wife and I are a bit more forgiving than others and my wife has worked at a Longhorn at the Wolfchase location and she wanted a good meal. Ian was our server and he did a good job taking our order and drinks. The bread was good and fresh. I ordered the 6 oz steak medium rare and my wife ordered the pork chop & we both got the broccoli as a side dish. The food was cooked very well as expected so no issues there. The tables were clean and the busers were taking care of the tables that were done. Now for the things that can be improved upon; hostess while polite was not at her station for five minutes and there was no one being seated. This is a front of house issue. During our initial wait, one staff member noticed us but did not alert the hostess that we were waiting to be sat. The restaurant while maybe no more than half full (at best) seemed to be having issues with the back of the house getting food orders out. This is something my wife noticed given the time it took for our food to come out. My wife said it could only have been due to maybe someone calling out. While our server Ian made sure our drinks were refilled once, my wife had to ask another waitress to have him bring us the bill. Again, life happens so I can accept that because he could have been doubled up. Food was a solid 4 given what we ordered and it came out but later than it should have taken. Our server earned a solid 3.5 because after the food was brought out he did not check on us to see if everything was good, we had to request a to go box and the check. The hostess earned a 1.5 due to the delay in seating and not being at her station for over 5 minutes. While she may have needed a break, no one was at the station for guests. Knowing the location and the standards Longhorn has for their staff, it was disappointing. Now, would I give them another try, yes! This is one of my husband's favorite places to eat. We consider if kind of a fancy place and we tend to come here for dates and things. There's always a lot of food- every meal is huge- and we are always satisfied whenever we eat here. I've summarized my thoughts on different meals below. The Crab and Artichoke Dip is good but I didn't feel it was very flavorful. My mom loved it. I did really like the Firecracker Chicken Wraps even though about a third of them are the wrapping. I paid an upcharge to get the Chicken and Strawberry Salad with the Raspberry dressing instead of a house salad which was fantastic. Also, huge. I took half of it home. I got the Napa Grilled Chicken for my meal which was soft, juicy, and flavorful. Hubby got the steak prime rib which definitely melted in my mouth but otherwise did nothing for me. The Coconut Chili Mahi Mahi was awesome and flaky and the rice mixture that came with was so tasty. I was delightfully surprised. The balsamic vinaigrette is not overpowering as it often is at other places. It even tasted good with the bread. Flo's Fillet medium well done is thin but packed with seasonings and flavor. The medium is thick and tender but had less seasonings The Chocolate Stampede was huge. I'd actually want to order it as an appetizer because it's not easy to take home but it's huge so you'll want to make sure you have room for it. I treated my mom and dad to dinner at Longhorn to celebrate my mom's birthday. My mother and I love the Outlaw Ribeye, but this time we went with the regular ribeye and my dad ordered salmon. We also picked a salad and one more side. All salads were good and had plenty of salad dressing for each bite. I ordered a sweet potato for my other side, it was a pretty big sweet potato and unfortunately some areas were undercooked causing for a crunchy potato (took it home..no biggie). The loaded baked potato looked good and well prepared (no remnants remaining other than the skin) so I would say mom enjoyed it and my dad enjoyed his side of broccoli. Our waitress was decent, she seemed a bit tired, but she was not rude. She took our orders and was polite throughout dinner. Our orders came out with no issues and correct. The restaurant does not take reservations, they have a waitlist that you add your name to. I was not able to add my name via the app, but you can walk in to add your name and maybe even call. On a weeknight it can get busy, so there may be a long wait. We went on a Saturday around 5pm and waited about 20mins, they moved the parties quick, so that helped, along with an earlier dinner time. We sat in the bar area in a booth, my dad was able to watch the Grizzles play and we just really had a good meal and an overall enjoyable experience on this particular evening. This is one of my favorite steak houses. The portion sizes here are huge. It does depend on what you get. My favorite is the Flo's Filet which is the same size as any filet. Free bread is decent. I thought I liked the loaded baked potato but it's really just ok. I do love the french fries and the mashed potatoes. There's lots of potato options, which is great. They also have other food sides for when I want to have something besides potatoes. I tried the Longhorn burger recently and I was hoping it'd be really good but it was just ok. We went to the Collierville location Friday 2/14/26 early afternoon. We waited 40 minutes for a table. Thats fine it was on Valentines Day. But so many empty tables.. I guess not enough servers. Schedule accordingly folks!!! Anyhow got a table and ordered. Husband ordered Porterhouse and Baked potato. First off the potato was COLD!! The butter didn't even melt. Waitress brought another that was HOT! Second his porterhouse was a t-bone. There was very little filet on one side. Waitress sent manager over. He was rude and he said that is a Porterhouse, our t-bone is thinner than that. Really??? It's about the filet size. On a porterhouse steak the filet is huge. This filet size was no bigger than the tines on his fork. My husband told manager needs to learn his cuts of meat. Manager pointed his finger at my husband and said I should have you kicked out of here!!!! Really???? After a terrible experience at the LongHorn Steakhouse in Bartlett, we tried this one in Collierville. It was a totally different experience. The host and waitstaff were friendly. The wait times were not too long. (It was a Sunday about 11:00 a.m.) The pricing is acceptable, and the food quality is excellent. The ambiance was awesome until the "after-church" crowd started piling in and making a ton of noise. That wasn't the restaurant's fault. We will return to this one in the future but only during low-traffic times. read more

Its been awhile since eating here. Covid has shaken up the world as we know it but I think the restaurants are suffering the hardest blow, outside of everyday life. I still have standards but the expectations aren't as high. The restaurant was semi-full. Our server was busy but she stopped n checked on us, everytime she walked by..I dont have any complaints about my food, it was ok. But after taking it home n cooking in airfryer a little longer, it tasted better. It was a little undercooked. My margarita was tasty but I missed seeing the lemons in the big jar. This is probably our last visit to this so-so establishment with an over-staffed door and a manager who actually argues with customers... First, we went to their website to "get in line" early. When we arrived at the restaurant, the same surly, glowering, characterless young woman said, "Huh - what'chu'want?" I told her my name and she said, "Uh, huh... you #2 in line, we will call chu when you ready..." After 15 minutes of watching the door, and after seeing 3 parties seated before us, I approached the middle-aged woman who was at the podium... "Are you the Manager?" Answer: "Yeah"... Let me tell y'all how much I enjoyed my meal!! So the lamb chops are to die for! They were cooked to perfection and super flavorful. The mashed potatoes were creamy and the spinach topped it off. If you are a fan of Brussel sprouts then they theirs. They were crispy and the honey butter style sauce took it to another level. Now my friend had the parm crusted chicken and all I kept hearing was mmm, so I knew that she was very pleased. So apparently I have been missing out on the greatness at LongHorn! My party of 3 arrived Arlington 11:00 a.m on a Sunday. Which is probably the best time if you're looking for somewhere to dine right after church. It gets pretty crowded pretty fast. We were served by the bartender who was very nice and got our food to us right on time. If you're looking for a delicious meal I recommend the Parmesan Crusted Chicken. So good! Once I find a meal that I like, I tend to stick to it. So trying this, I was very pleased.
