My friend hosted a private party of 32 guests at the Divine Street location on yesterday in Columbia, South Carolina, and unfortunately, the experience fell significantly below expectations. Our server was initially polite and seemed attentive. However, it quickly became apparent that one server was assigned to manage our entire party without additional support. For a group of this size, that decision ultimately impacted the entire dining experience. It took approximately one hour for drinks to arrive and an hour and a half for appetizers to begin coming out. By that time, most of the party had already arrived. Despite notifying the server twice, I never received my appetizer, even though everyone else at the table had been served. I was told he was "speaking with the manager" about it, but the issue was never resolved. Entrée orders were not taken until nearly two hours into the event. When the food arrived, several guests who ordered medium steaks were served steaks that were clearly rare. When this was addressed, the server insisted the steaks were cooked properly and stated that visible blood was correct for medium doneness. There was no immediate offer to have the steaks remade, which led to unnecessary tension at the table. Additionally, drink refills were not offered proactively, and appetizer plates were not cleared until a patron specifically requested it -- and that occurred after entrées had already been served. Basic service flow was noticeably absent throughout the evening. When we requested to speak with a manager, the server stated he could not retrieve one because he was assisting other guests. I ultimately had to personally locate the manager on duty. The manager did listen and offered to comp my meal, which I declined after we had already been seated for nearly three hours. As a local food reviewer, I understand the challenges of the service industry, especially with large parties. However, staffing a group of 32 with only one server is a management decision that directly impacts service quality. This experience felt less like an isolated mistake and more like a preventable operational issue. LongHorn has built a reputation for quality food and dependable service. No cooking today! Instead, we went to Longhorn for pickup. I ordered the Redrock Grilled Shrimp with seasoned rice. They didn't have any broccoli and I didn't want any asparagus this time around, so I just ordered the mixed green salad and extra shrimp. The food was excellent. I loved the shrimp on the skewers! They had a great taste of the smokey tomato butter brushed on it. The salad was just a basic salad which was good. My husband ordered the Chopped Steak. With his, he ordered the sweet potato since they had no broccoli available, along with a mixed green salad. He stated the chopped steak was delightful. He adored the smothered savory garlic herb sauce that was over the meat. We also got a honey wheat loaf with whipped butter. It was warm and tasty! The staff was polite and professional. I'm a lover of Longhorn but there is something about this location that just doesn't vibe. The service was great. The booths and tables are dated. My salad was yummy. My ribeye was about 35% fat. What was edible was cooked to perfection and was yummy. I got fries because I knew I wouldn't eat many of them. They were seasoned well but were very greasy (so much so that ketchup wouldn't stick to them). I keep coming back here hoping things have improved, but alas just disappointed again. read more

Staff were friendly and professional, Caesar salad which was included in meal, lettuce was crisp but had little or no dressing, the bread was warm and tasty. My 12oz Rump steak I ordered medium, arrived well done and I ordered an additional side of broccoli which was over cooked, watery and tasteless (could have been frozen) The loaded potato was tasty. We (party of 4) arrived at 5pm and were told by the hostess that we couldn't be seated in the main dining room because a waiter was not available. A waiter from the bar told her to go ahead and seat us and it took about ten minutes, but a waitress came to or table. We ordered and everything seemed like it was going okay, but 20 minutes after ordering, the waitress comes to the table and says they have no baked potatoes (sweet or russet). We all tell her fries are okay. Ten minutes later the food arrives with raw broccoli on three of our plates. I ask for cooked broccoli for three of us and she brings out one order...after we finished eating. I ordered a NY strip cooked medium and received a sirloin cooked well done. Writing this to inform others that despite what the website says, this place does NOT take call ahead seating. We've been to numerous Longhorns and the call ahead should work like this - you fill out the form online, it tells you how long the wait is, you click confirm to add yourself to the waitlist, then you're given a text to let you know you're in line, and then once your table is ready it gives you a 5 min warning to come to the check in desk before you lose your table. THAT is call ahead seating, not whatever this particular restaurant claims it to be. I should have know this place was different when I didn't receive the typical text message like I receive at other locations, turns out... if you do call ahead seating, they do not add you to the line until after you arrive. So when we showed up exactly 20 minutes after our initial check in that reported a 25 minute wait time, we were told it would be at least another hour to be seated. What's the point in call ahead seating if you don't get put into the line until after you get there??? I hope management fixes this. For now, diners you are warned - ignore the wait time you see when you check in online. In fact, don't even bother cuz it doesn't save you any time anyway. We were very disappointed. read more

The food itself was very good, and our waitress was wonderful--attentive, apologetic, and genuinely concerned when issues were brought to her attention. Unfortunately, the overall experience was overshadowed by multiple food and beverage safety concerns. The complimentary bread served to our table was molded on the bottom. When we informed our waitress, she immediately apologized and offered to bring more bread, only to discover that the replacement bread was also bad. We were among the last patrons before closing, which means this bread had likely been served throughout the day. Additionally, when water was brought to our table, both glasses had something floating in them. Another customer nearby experienced the same issue and ultimately requested bottled water instead, especially concerning as the water was intended to mix baby formula. While our waitress handled the situation as best she could and comped our appetizer, we were never acknowledged by a manager. Given the seriousness of the food safety concerns, I would have expected at least a brief conversation or apology from management. The quality of the food was strong, and the service from our waitress was excellent, but the lack of management involvement and repeated sanitation issues made the experience disappointing. I ordered curbside pickup 3 days before I was to pick up the order on Friday, Feb. 13th. I never got a confirmation even up to the day of pickup. I was to pickup at 3pm so I called and was told they received my order and I would receive conf by 2pm. At 2:45, I still had no conf..5 min later I got a text to check the link when I arrived. I got there a little after 3pm, entered my parking space #, waited 30 min. still no one came out. I then went in and asked and was told she did not know where my order was. Took my parents there for a big anniversary and everyone was wonderful and accommodating to our needs to be close to the door so my people would not have walk far. They opened the door and assisted us to the table. Ordering was fast and easy and food was delicious. It was the last anniversary meal my parents will have together as my father passed awww not long after. I am so grateful you guys were so gracious and the manager and staff checked on them constantly. O wish we could have gotten a comp desert but I understand everybody is celebrating something. AS opposed to Texas Road house we usually enjoy LongHorn. Last year we took my parents to Texas Roadhouse. Not accommodating to our needs of wheelchair space. Food was 2.5 hours late. As you can imagine at a certain age or really any age 2.5 hours is toooooo long. The food was not done and not good. We sent it back and they delivered the same unprepared uncooked not good food. Waiting on tea and water for a long time until we just could not take it anymore. We called the manager many times. We were afraid to send it back again. My dad still paid and tipped we got it to go and it sat in the fridge until it got thrown away.. In this case many people were at fault, the server, the manager all the way down the line. It ruined my parents anniversary and thank God we went to Longhorn this year. I would have died if TRH would have been their last anniversary meal together. The manager gave us a free appetizer for the next time we came in and purchased 2 meals at full price. My father kept that Card in his wallet to remind him never to go back. It was the worst restaurant experience ever. I reached out to corporate and nothing to this day. Went there last summer 2025 with a friend who has an Emotional Support Pet for Birthday. Greeters were nasty about the dog knowing of being ESP. A nice Black lady took us to table.We were then given the treatment. Bread was hard enough to use as a weapon. Steak was as is from supplier, pre cooked and never saw grill.room temperature. Brussell sprouts were burned beyond recognition and not edible (for an $$ uncharge). were Warned to not let dog (6 " tall) eat off table? He was curled up in corner of booth the whole time. Definitely not a large party at lunch time spot! Our party waited 30 minutes in the lobby to be seated because two of the eight people were running behind. Once all arrived, the hostess was openly exasperated stating she then needed to figure out where to seat us. There were only five tables in the entire restaurant with people. Ten minutes after that, we were able to be sat. She didn't hide that she wasn't happy our group was there. They were low on servers so it took about 20 mins to get drinks but our server was genuinely very good and trying hard. The food was also good. My staff and I went to Longhorn for a working lunch and it was so disappointing from the moment we walked in. We waited for atleast 5-7 minutes before someone acknowledged us standing at the hostess stand. The employees were walking in and out of the kitchen, they saw us, they just didn't acknowledge us. Finally we had to get someone's attention to take us to a table. We sat down at about 12:15p our food came out at like 1:10p. We ordered ribeyes medium and chicken and they all came out LUKEWARM. When one of my colleagues asked why the food wasn't hot, the waiter said it was because the kitchen was backed up. No apology. No offer to assist in any way. There were several patrons in the restaurant, but it wasn't as packed for a lunch hour. It's dimly lit, but overall clean. I arrived just after 4PM. As the hostess took me to my table, I noticed the carpet / rug needed a vacuum, there was trash scattered all over it from what appeared to be several days of foot traffic. The biggest turn off was the smell. It smelled like a really dirty grease trap in a commercial kitchen. She sat me in a booth near the kitchen. I walked around the restaurant to see if the stench was better away from the kitchen. There were few and scattered guests, and it seemed to me that some or one of the employees could have cleaned the rug at least. I decided that I couldn't stay because I couldn't eat in that stench. My boyfriend and I went out to eat for the first time here and were told by staff that there was no cross contamination with the fryers, grill, pots and pans. I am highly reactive of shellfish and I am a highly reactive celiac. I ordered a steak and french fries, and when my dish was brought out we found pieces of fried chicken bits in the french fries. We called the manager over and they took my meal off the bill. However we won't be returning because 1. it was 11:15am right when they opened (fryer wasn't cleaned and definitely was used with gluten products) and 2. i'm too reactive to take the chance. I will preface this review with saying it was a Friday night downtown after 5pm. went here for a friend's birthday. They tried to call ahead to make a reservation, but they were told that they couldn't and then they tried to put their name down for the waitlist and was also told that there was no weight so they didn't need to put their name down. The dinner was for 7 PM. Me and my hubby got there at seven and walked in and could barely fit in the door. it was so packed. I went to give the hostess the name for the reservation and they didn't have one. They said that it would be a 30 minute wait but surprisingly we didn't end up waiting the whole 30 minutes, which was nice. I will say, though that the process of trying to make a reservation and or get on the waitlist was an issue only because whoever communicated to my friend was obviously lying. We were waited there was no issue. Our server was great. I'm sorry I can't remember her name but she was absolutely wonderful. Really nice really considerate intentional. It was just busy. It took about 25 minutes for the drinks and I'm not sure how long it took for our food, but once the food came out, it was hot. It was delicious. I will say there was one issue with one of our friends order, not being put in. so she ended up having to have a salad just to have something to eat, which was rather disappointing because it would be my assumption that when you are busy you're constantly ringing out food so I don't know how you get a whole tables order except one person and three of those people ordered the same thing. I ordered the steak with the mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was delicious. That was my first time having steak at Longhorn, I had no issues it could've used a bit of salt, but otherwise it was great. While in town for a meeting I was happy to see a Longhorn not too far from my hotel. Their food the consistency good and the service attentive. My favorite items are the Filet (I recommend medium rare), the burger and the chicken tenders. I only have one complaint and this appears to be widespread to every location- on the bill they calculate the tip after tax. This may not sound like much, but this is misleading and deceptive as the standard is for gratuities to be calculated pre-tax since you should never tip on government taxes. For those to take the time to read the receipt, they do disclose this, but I would bet most people don't pay attention. As a result, people who already think they are being generous with their tip are actually spending even more. I really wish Longhorn would fix sneaky practice. read more

Stopped in at this LongHorn restaurant due to the holiday and most restaurants being closed. The restaurant was not busy. Hostess was friendly and seated us, a family of 3. The waitress was nice. My son's children's burger which we asked to be cooked medium came out well done. My cheeseburger that I asked for plain - cheese only and cooked medium, came out not plain and was cooked medium rare. The other meal a family member ordered came out correct. The waitress was friendly but did not go above & beyond. If we had empty glasses, when she walked by she didn't request to refill them. We always had to ask for refills even when she knew it was empty. The food taste was bland. I received a gift card some months ago and finally decided to use it today. I chose to order my food to-go and normally when I do this, I expect the food to not be the same quality as dine-in because it normally looks like it's just been thrown together. So I visit this location: When I got my food, it was warm, to my surprise. The service I received from the young lady was great as well, she was talkative and very nice. Well, for the moment of truth...I get my food home and decide to cut into a piece of my steak to give it a try...boy, let me tell you...my steak is PERFECT! It is medium, exactly how I asked, and very tender. It almost melts in my mouth. This may be one of the best steaks I've had from any restaurant like this. I could only eat a bit of my food because I wasn't that hungry but it is Delicious. Matter of fact, everything I got tasted good. Very impressed overall. I drove 15 mins away from home (and sat in traffic) to get to this location when i could have easily just gone to the one right near me. I received a gift card for Christmas to LongHorn and was initially skeptical of this location. Reading all the prior reviews really made me nervous but we decided to be fearless. The location is large and easy to find. We parked and walked to get our steps in for the day and it's just typically tight downtown parking. I didn't see anywhere specifically for longhorn customers but it was pretty dark. We had a friendly hostess but our waiter actually sat us. They were out of silverware, at 7:30pm so he had to go wrap some for us. We were seated right outside the kitchen so that was less than stellar. It was noisy and lots of serving staff yelling "corner" to avoid crashes. We both ordered steaks. I had the flat iron and my boyfriend had the renegade 8oz. To thier credit they did ask us to cut our steaks and make sure they were right. I answered too quickly as my medium rare was extra raw when it got to me. I just couldn't see it because of the dim lighting. It wasn't a big deal and they did ask so that was on me. The serving sizes of the salads, sides and veggies were reasonable. We did not have desert or drinks and our tab was less than $40 which I would consider extremely reasonable for as much food as we received. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant. Not surprised the place was dead on a Tuesday night but when it came time to order we were told they were out of baked and mashed potatoes. (Note: Publix is in the neighborhood) How can a restaurant call itself a steakhouse and not have potatoes? I asked the waiter if the manager was aware of it and he said he didn't know.
