Representing a restaurant established in Georgia is LongHorn Steakhouse. I like all three of the major mid-priced steak house chains. I'm most familiar with Outback, followed by Texas Roadhouse (which is very close to LongHorn), and least familiar with LongHorn. I never had LongHorn until August 2023. It's still my only visit there ever, but overall, I liked it. Each of the 3 major chains I like. They each have their strengths & some weaknesses. I felt the steak (I believe prime rib) was strong here, but sides were a bit underwhelming but still pretty good. I got buttery mashed potato. Bread was good, but my favorite for bread is Texas roadhouse rolls. Outback & Texas Roadhouse have a local flair, Australian & Texas. LongHorn is fancier looking inside with nice booths & lighting. LongHorn I remember ran a couple of bucks more expensive than the other two, but it was still good and worth a visit. My girlfriend briefly of that time and I went, as she was a big fan of them and was like Leigh, we gotta go to LongHorn. It was my catalyst to try them. Server was very friendly to us answering all my questions. My girlfriend since 2024 & I had a discussion of her favorites and least favorite restaurants, and for some reason she said she didn't like LongHorn. We've been to Texas Roadhouse a couple of times over here. So, I'm probably going to need a deal or some other catalyst to get us to go to LongHorn together, and maybe her mind will be changed about them. read more

While shopping in the area. We decided to dine here. We walked in and without a wait were seated. The waiter greeted us and took our orders. I order a spirited drink that not desirable therefore, it was returned. We ordered a burger w/fries, kids chicken tender meal and steak w/ rice and broccoli. The burger and kids meal came as desired. However the steak was a little bigger than a 50 cent piece and the rice had long hair mixed in. I returned my meal and drink unfortunately. Waited for the check to come for it to have the steak meal as well as drink still on the bill. It took them a very long time correcting the bill and returning to the table. I visit this place when I come to the Mall because it's the closest Steakhouse in the area. The customer service has really gone down hill, the last couple of times I came here there was nobody at the Hostess Stand to greet us and the same for today, that's a no no in the Food Industry. We waited about 5 minutes before a young woman appeared and looked at us like we were crazy then asked table for two?? Our Waitress sorry I can't remember her name was our saving grace, she's was welcoming, professional and attentive. And later on that same Hostess was bent over and leaning on one of the empty tables across from us scrolling on her phone, so unprofessional. I placed a pickup order on 7/19 around 3:50 PM. When I got home, I found my Porterhouse steak (~$40) was cut and roughly half the meat was missing from the order. I called the restaurant to resolve this, and the manager on duty insisted he personally watched the steak being prepared and that it was never cut and nothing was missing. When I said I'd bring it back to show him, he became argumentative, repeatedly said his staff did nothing wrong, and refused to make it right. When I asked for his name, he gave me "Brian." I have reason to believe this wasn't accurate. I've been a returning customer, and this order was for my birthday. I'm disappointed both by the missing food and by how dismissively I was treated when trying to resolve it. I'd appreciate a resolution and would like this manager's conduct reviewed. read more

Haven't been here in quite a while but so glad we did. They specialize in Steaks & they do it well ! We shared a 22 oz Porterhouse, perfectly done medium as we requested. We each had a nice salad ,my husband had a loaded baked potato ( bacon, cheese, sour cream & topped with green onions - sooo yummy ! ) I ordered French fries which were some of the best fries I've had. Nicely seasoned, crispy on the outside, fluffy inside . We had margaritas which were okay but for $6, we ordered seconds . They give you a warm loaf of bread with whipped butter - no charge. One of the few establishments that do not charge for bread Service was very attentive and the food came out fast. The restaurant was almost fully occupied but it wasn't loud. Great place for a casual family steak dinner. The steak is always good so are most of the food we ordered. Good value. Standard American steakhouse interior, sometimes the booths are not very clean. The service can be inconsistent but never bad. This time the glitch was with the bartender, he didn't understand when the waiter put in the manhattan cocktail need to be made with a specific bourbon. Over priced for what you get and dirty. Partner and I went for dinner last night and were excited to try a new steak house. But this turned into a big mistake. I ordered a n Old Fashioned - the server returned with an on the rocks an told me "we are out of the black cherries and they are looking to see if we have oranges." That was the last we heard about that. The spinach dip was completely flavorless. Our Caesar salads arrived one swimming in dressing, the other almost dry. His steak was extremely over salted and my salmon was unseasoned and dry. The rice pilaf was tasteless and his baked potato looked like a child plated it. And to top it off the restroom was in terrible condition. One of the commodes was covered in wet toilet paper. I've been here a couple of times and had a great experience both times. I was influenced to come in and try all of their Parmesan crusted dishes and across my two trips I tried all of them. Longhorn is a good steakhouse if you want something on a pinch. The quality of steaks has drastically dwindled down so I tend to not choose this as my first choice. This establishment was perfect after a day of shopping in the area and needed something to eat. Pros: Convenience, No Waiting(this day), Very Clean, Friendly Hostess, Great Bartender Cons: wings weren't cooked correctly had to send them back, Kitchen was slow (wasn't crowded so not sure why it took 25 minutes to get a salad) , bread was ok (I live Texas bread) My steak(NY Strip) was cooked perfectly-wasn't dry(although I asked for the mushrooms that never showed up) I was still able to eat it. Cooked medium well as requested, sweet potato wasn't cooked all the way. The Ribeye was horrible. They overcooked it- no seasoning at all was in there and I couldn't understand that as I'm almost sure they were done on the same grill as the NY Strip. The plus side of this night was our waiter noticed the Ribeye wasn't touched and asked if we wanted something different. I appreciated that. We were offered a dessert but by that time I was full from my good food and ready to go home. Did I mention the wait time was a problem? Believe it or not, this was my first time at LongHorn Steakhouse. I guess my parents never took me growing up, but now I see why it's such a fan favorite. I came in specifically because I saw those viral Parmesan crusted lamb chops on TikTok and wanted to try them. Sadly, I just missed them since they're seasonal, but I decided to go with the Parmesan crusted ribeye steak instead and I wasn't disappointed. To start, my boyfriend and I split the Parmesan crusted spinach dip and the wings, which we also had done Parmesan style. Both were delicious. The wings came out with three sauces: hot sauce, blue cheese, and ranch, and every bite hit. Honestly, just from the appetizers alone, I'd come back. For my drink, I don't do tequila so I skipped the margaritas, but our server Larry (shoutout to him) was amazing. He was friendly, down to earth, and gave great recommendations. He had the bartender whip up a lemon drop with mango for me, and it was really good. Light, smooth, and refreshing. For sides, I had broccoli with Parmesan, a sweet baked potato with cinnamon sugar, a side of lobster, and we also tried the rice. The rice really surprised me. I thought it might be bland, but it was actually well seasoned and tasty. Every plate had something that stood out. Overall, it was a great first visit. First time at Longhorn Steakhouse! Got the 12oz ribeye and the cheeseburger with bacon. Ribeye was really tender and seasoned well. The loaded baked potato was filled a decent amount. We asked for the cheeseburger medium well but it came out more well done. Jeff, our waiter, came by and took it back really quickly. He recommended we order the new one medium which came out much more to our liking. I would've preferred the broccoli to be a bit softer but it was still good. I haven't been to Longhorn in a while, but we had a gift card so my husband and I decided to go again and see what's up! We went on a Saturday night and didn't make a reservation but we were seated immediately. Our server Megan was super sweet and helpful and recommended a few things for us to try. She kept our drinks refreshed and our bellies full! We loved the complimentary bread and butter. I ordered the tomato glazed shrimp with a side Caesar salad, rice pilaf, and a cup of the baked potato soup. Everything was absolutely incredible! I hadn't been to Longhorn in a long time, but I didn't remember the food being that outstanding. 1.12.24 I haven't been here in a few years and I didn't remember how good their steaks are. I ordered a medium-rare ribeye with a caesar salad and mashed potatoes. The ribeye seasoning was perfection. Normally I need to have sauce with my steaks, but it was so flavorful it wasn't needed. I asked for it cooked medium rare, but it was a little too rare for me. Next time I will ask for it to be cooked medium. Caesar salad and mashed potatoes were good, but the portion for potatoes were on the smaller side. I also love the complimentary honey wheat bread. I should have asked for another loaf to go. Lol. For dessert, my hubby and I split the Molten Lava Cake. He thought it was fairly substantial. It was very rich and decadent. It could have used more vanilla ice cream or added whipped cream. There was a sign at our table saying that checkout could be done via mobile pay by scanning the QR code. However, it did not work and our server said it could be due to wi-fi connectivity. He was busy and hustling at the bar so that's why we tried to take care of it. I had the Porterhouse, which was cooked perfectly for my tastes. The salad was fresh and the service was impeccable. The only suggestion I would make would be to put a little more 'loaded" stuff on the loaded baked potato. I ordered salmon which was overcooked, Brussels sprouts, which were supposed to be crispy, were mushy in the middle and crispy, almost burned on the outside. Usually get the BBQ ribs but switched it up. Tried the porkchops and they were delish, the service at this location in Arundel Mills is always great, and Cory is the best. I arrived 5 minutes before closing and ordered 2 racks of ribs, Cory not only got the ribs out in regard time but gave me a sweet tea while waiting. Just happened in on a weekday for dinner. I just didn't feel like cooking so this was a pretty close option. It actually the first time I have been to a longhorn and I was pleasantly surprised. It shares and parking lot with a Red Robin but there is plenty of parking for both restaurants. On the night I went there was no wait at all and I was immediately seated. Not many people dinning in so my waitress was able to decide a lot of attention to the few patrons she had. Service was quick. I ordered a ribeye medium rare and when it came it it was more of what I would considered medium. In general most of the chain restaurants will overcook a steak so going more rare is always my go to. Steamed broccoli was a my side dish in a effort to be a little more healthy. I had a draft beer to wash it all down. Sadly that was the only thing I remembered to take a picture of because when I steak came out I devoured it immediately. Guess I was a bit more hungry than I thought. Let me add to the other 5-star ratings this restaurant has been receiving! Disclaimer: We have never been to this location and only ended up here because the restaurant across the street told us we needed to wait in the lobby for at least 20 minutes before they could seat us ... because they didn't have staff to wait on us. (I won't give their name - just the initials: B.J.s - ha) Lucky for us, we had noticed the Longhorn Steakhouse sign a mere block away and headed there instead. I mean, the moment you finish your appetizer and the entree is handed to you was a split second. The appetizers, most EXCELLENT! The "Longhorn" entree that we paid $22 for, disappointing. The asparagus was mostly old. The beautiful cut of Porterhouse meat was sadly marinated and overspiced for FAR to long and also in a VAT of salt. I felt like I was chewing on a salt lick. My husband, the salt lick eater could not even stomach it. He agreed, even for his salty standard this was just NOT good. We advised the waitress, just so they could try it themselves to see...I mean, it is just our opinion and of course the floor manager was over at our table within seconds. We let him know, because of course he asked and we weren't seeking any sort of discount or hand-out (and none was offered)...with things reopening we just wanted it all to be successful and sometimes feedback is welcome. So he explained that there is no variance. They spice their meat a bit more than others and some are not used to it. My husband explained that it tasted like Montreal Steak seasoning had accidentally dumped an entire bottle onto one steak. Ha ha ha...the manager actually agreed that its not separate spices it does come just like that - all one bottle of spice. Regardless, we packed it all up and are hoping our dogs will like it. Lol. We don't waste food. Needless to say, Texas Roadhouse needs to reopen STAT.
