4.23.26 Hubby and I stopped in for dinner around 5:15 PM on a Thursday. We ordered a pulled pork sandwich combo with a fountain soda and beans, plus a two-meat sampler (ribs and brisket) with mac & cheese and cornbread. Each entrée can be made a combo, which includes a side and either a fountain drink or cornbread. Orders are placed at the counter. One critique: the lighting made the menus difficult to read--there's a noticeable glare. Repositioning the fixtures would make a big difference. The staff member we interacted with was very friendly and shared that they waited four years to open, which is commendable. The highlights for me were the ribs and mac & cheese. My husband preferred the beans and the pulled pork sandwich. That said, we both found the brisket and cornbread to be dry, and the coleslaw a bit plain. I also would have preferred the food to be served hotter--it was closer to room temperature on my tray, though my husband's beans stayed piping hot in their container. Overall, we found the food to be average for the price. We'd likely choose Mission BBQ or Famous Dave's next time. That said, after such a long road to opening, I do hope they find their stride.

"Mission Accomplished!!!" Mission BBQ is a true testament to everything right. They are more than…read morejust food... they exude a form of togetherness that instantly makes you smile. The entire staff is friendly, professional and ready to lend a hand at every turn. I want to give a big salute to The Mission BBQ Family !!! Now, I know I said, they're more than just food... Well, the food takes on a life of its own. I'm talking absolutely mouth watering delicious ( every dish ) I stopped here for the first time because I was craving a slow cooked smoked cheeseburger... and I was satisfied from the very first bite ( and the seasoned fries complemented the burger like a puzzle piece !! ) the burger was my dine in order... I also ordered turkey & pulled chicken to take home for dinner. And when I tell you if I could, I would have done a back flip at how scrumptious and tender the meat was ( compliments to the chef for being super on point with his seasoning and grill game ! ) Now my question to the establishment is who created the side of the day ? "Broccoli salad" This hands down was the best side I ever tasted... it was like a form of broccoli coleslaw that hit the right tune with my tastebuds ( this is a must have... which means I'll be back out Columbia Crossings within the next week or two !!! ) FYI: Their summer lemonade is the perfect concoction to wash down every awesome meal on their menu !!!! How was this my first time hearing of Mission BBQ.... Lucky Me !!!!

It's outdoor seating and very relaxing. You have to deliver the food to your table and you might have a bit of a wait, but it is worth it. Today the weather was nice and I enjoyed relaxing waiting for the food to come out. The owner personally brought it out to me to take. For starters the mac and cheese is to die for. I don't know how they do it but you can taste the smokiness in the Mac & Cheese. It's a wonderful comfort food on its own. The baked brisket beans is quite good as well. When I was remembering from the last time i came that was what i remembered the most. Lastly the Turkey and Beef brisket were cooked very well. They both had a wonderful smokiness to and were fresh off the smoker. He literally made them to order from when i ordered earlier that day by text message to when i picked them up a few hours later. Again I will come here again. It's a bit of a drive for me to go there, but it is definitely worth the drive.

The Luau BBQ bowl was delicious- the citrus ginger sauce really surprised me with how flavorful it was without having one thing overpower it. The menu offers a nice balance between curated bowls and build-your-own options, and everything on display looked vibrant and genuinely fresh. Even the subtle aroma of garlic in the air set the tone in the best way. I don't usually go for chicken (I cook enough of it at home), but being from Hawaii, there was no way I was passing up on their limited-time Huli Huli chicken. For those unfamiliar, traditional Huli Huli chicken is typically bone-in, skin-on, soaked in a brine, marinated with a blend of soy sauce, ginger, brown sugar, garlic, and pineapple juice maybe rice vinegar or ketchup, it's all left to the cook. Basted several times as the meat is flipped until fully cooked. Back home, you don't just eat it--you experience it. You smell it long before you see it--grilling on those iconic half oil drum kettles along the roadside, often set up for fundraisers or local gatherings. The sight of chicken quarters being flipped ("huli" means "turn") and basted over open flames is pure island nostalgia. So yes, expectations were high. I was offered a sample, and it delivered. The flavor balance was spot on--savory, slightly sweet, and deeply satisfying. The chicken itself was moist and tender. The only thing missing was that classic crispy, charred skin and the full leg quarter presentation you'd find back home--but even so, it didn't disappoint and left me wanting more. My bowl came together beautifully with coconut sweet potato sauce, fresh spinach, garlicky cilantro green beans, and basmati rice. It was flavorful, well-balanced, and delicious. Service was another highlight--the staff was friendly, patient and helpful with recommendations. The space itself is not large to eat in but it was clean, bright with ocean-toned blues that nod to its island inspiration. I'll definitely be back--especially while that Huli Huli chicken is still on the menu.
