Longhorn has always been one of my favorite quick food spots. Back in undergrad, I used to go at least once a week for their drinks, like the mango long pour, and their appetizers, especially during football season. Since graduating, I haven't gotten the chance to eat here in a while, but I stopped by last week and was happy to see the food is still just as consistent and tasty as it was when I was in college. This time, we ordered the wings, a hamburger with mac and cheese (no bacon), corn on the cob, and spicy chicken bites. Everything came out well. I definitely recommend the corn if you haven't tried it yet; it's a must. The burger was solid, and the spicy chicken bites were pretty good too (I like pairing them with the chicken wrap sauce). The atmosphere is split into two; one part has a sporty vibe, featuring TVs at the bar, while the dining area and overall aesthetic reflect a Western style with plenty of wood and rustic decor. The service is quick and friendly, contributing to an enjoyable dining experience. This makes it an ideal spot to watch games, hang out with friends, or simply enjoy dinner. This was a very pleasant surprise. I've been to Outback steakhouses a number of times, but I've never been to a Longhorn. I had salmon, which came with a side of rice, a loaded baked potato, and asparagus. Ordering fish at a steakhouse is usually a loser move, but this was delicious, large, and perfectly cooked. My wife had a bone-in ribeye. Obviously, it wasn't dry aged Wagyu, but it was a nice piece of meat for the price. Kids were happy with their meals as swell. For dessert we split the Stampede, which is a truly epic chain restaurant dessert: two huge pieces of cake with two huge scoops of ice cream. More than enough for our family of four. Service was excellent, as was the value. We paid $120 for a big steak, a big piece of salmon, two kids meals, a huge dessert, and three 20 ounce beers. Cons: - Both steaks came undercooked. Medium rare was rare and medium was medium rare. We didn't mind and didn't send them back, but they weren't right. - The loaded baked potato could have been a little bigger and a little bit more loaded - By the end of the dinner rush the restaurant needed some TLC. There was a chicken bone on the floor when we left and I'm told the lady's room was not in great shape. Overall, an unexpectedly great experience. read more

service sucked, food sucked, manager sucked. the server was pleasant but otherwise failed the basic functions of their job. when the food finally came out, it was crap and almost cold. the salmon, was less than mediocre. the filet was inedible as it was mostly fat. and the New York strip was thin, close to cold, and had lots of gristle. though, it was cooked to order. on a high note, the bread and the brussels sprout were good. only when the manager got invoked did the nasty filet get removed from the bill. no replacement offered. when I complained to the manager he disputed that the filet was sub par. and, in a tone that should have got him slapped upside his he thanked me for my frank opinion. My sister and I went to the Jenkintown location. There was no wait time which was a plus. It took our waitress some time to come to our table, but she was nice. The New York Strip was not tender and the chicken sandwich was a little dry, they didn't have brussel sprouts or mayonnaise available. Guess waiting for supplies to be shipped in. One thing I notice that was a turn off is that there was a lot of dust. The salt and pepper shakers were greasy and needed to be wiped off. I enjoy eating at the longhorn in Delaware. I was out running errands and decided to stop at Longhorns. I haven't been to a Longhorns for a couple of years and was surprised that there was one at this location in Jenkintown. This particular Longhorns use to be Chili's about a year ago. I was pleasantly surprised at how it was completely changed. Decorated very nicely! It was early afternoon, so we ordered from the lunch menu. I decided on the half-pound steakhouse cheeseburger with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions with a cup of loaded potatoe soup. Everything was fresh and delicious. My burger was much bigger than I had anticipated, and my soup was thick, hot, and flavorful. Along with my strawberry lemonade, I was completely satisfied. My, my, my....DELICIOUS. Despite the rain outside, it was warm and cozy inside. Me and my besties celebrated an early Christmas during this outing. From appetizers to desserts, everything was spot on. The shared appetizer was the Wild West Shrimp; spicy peppers with subtle spicy breading on the shrimp. Entrees consisted of New York Strip steak, Parmesan Crusted Chicken, and the Half-Pound Steakhouse burger. Needless to say we dined sufficiently. Dessert consisted of cheesecake, creamy and sweet. On the eve of Wednesday, May 21, 2025 we decided to take my Mother-in-Law to Longhorn on Old York Road for a 70th Birthday dinner after hearing such great reviews. Well, that was not the case!!! We were seated immediately after all of our guests arrived, just six of us. Our server walked us to a booth, a very tight booth for six people. We immediately asked if we could sit at an open table since there were so many open and readily available. No problem! After some time, our order was taken. Our order was taken and after a while we received our orders. Well, not my husband who only ordered mashed potatoes. The manager came to our table to ask how everything was, it was at the point I interjected to let the manager know my husband had not received his mashed potatoes. The manager offered to get them but at the point of waiting a bit my Husband declined. The manager asked him three times and my Husband said "no thank you, I am fine". We received our food but never saw our server again. We weren't asked if we needed steak sauce, wipes or drinks refilled...nothing because she never returned. One of our guests got up from the table to ask for ketchup and caught the eye of another server and asked them to get it. Now we have our food and are done. I got the attention of another server and asked if they could retrieve our check so we could pay our bill and leave. Well, that took another long period of time. But by this time we were all annoyed by the wait. Keep in mind, to me, the restaurant was not overcrowded at all. I went to the front desk, no one was there. I stood there for probably seven minutes before a waitress walked by and I asked to speak with the manager. While waiting for the manager, the young lady who was supposed to be at the desk arrived asking what I needed. I told her I asked to see the manager and was waiting for him. The manager, Marco Coronado eventually came after another three minutes. I begin to tell Marco about the sub-par service and how long we have been waiting and how we haven't seen our server. He begins to tell me how its our fault that we asked to move to another table. I say to him, "so what you are saying is, because we decided to move we don't get great service and an attentive server" and he says yes. I said please explain to me how where we sit in the restaurant determines our level of customer service and satisfaction. He began to raise his voice while continuing to tell me its our fault for asking to move. Because he continued to overtalk me, I said may I please have your business card because I no longer wish to have this conversation with you in this manner. He was so rude to me I didn't have a chance to speak to him about our food experience. Never in my life of going to any establishment high-end or low-end have I had a manager speak to me in such a rude and distasteful manner. Although I don't need to be right in a situation but respected, whatever happened to the customer is always right. Never in life have I left an establishment and not tipped our server, this should be evident by the lack of service received. I was pleasantly surprised with this steakhouse...particularly this branch. After a colleague told me that among the branches in Philadelphia this was by far the best one. So I went and wasn't disappointed. Their food is always well seasoned and comes out great. I have visited this place a few times now and their steaks were really good. The staff are friendly and the place even restroom was clean. There's always a lot of people eating in this branch but it's never a long wait. Most of the time, we are seated as soon as we arrive. This place used to be good. Over the past year it has declined. The table was not clean. The menus was sticky! The booth was dusty!. The worst part was my potato was rotten! It was all black inside! We walk into the longhorn steakhouse and almost nobody is there. We get a large party table (5+ people) and order. The lights around our table were really dim, and we got seated immediately, probably because there were less than 10 PEOPLE IN THE RESTAURANT. Not off to a great start. Our waiter was very nice. When I got my steak,(8oz sirloin, well done) SOMEHOW, SOMEWAY, I was given a children's size steak. HOW. The broccoli I got was so incredibly cold, the sauce on it was not even completely melted. The macaroni and cheese I ordered was cooked to edibility, but unfortunately dry and somewhat tasteless. The fries were cooked through and moderately soft but crunchy, and lightly fried, as I like it made. The steak was incredibly fatty. My friend ordered a steak, MEDIUM WELL. Her steak came out and- oh wait. COMPLETELY PINK AND SLIGHTLY RED- IF NOT RAW. ALL THE FOOD WAS COLD. The only good thing was that for five people, the preparation time was relatively fast compared to longhorn steakhouses back home in Georgia. EXCEPT AGAIN, MOST OF THE FOOD WAS COLD! I would have preferred the food take 2 hours to come out and be quality than take 5 minutes to come out and be absolute garbage! Please. I had 1 of the best dining experiences I've ever had tonight. This is my 2nd or 3rd time eating at Longhorn in Jenkintown and every time has been a pleasure but tonight was A+! I live in Bala Cynwyd and the Longhorn there has been hit or miss so I drove 45 minutes to get there and I'm so happy I made the trek. I reserved my seat online so that I didn't have to wait and when I arrived I was seated almost immediately. The hostess was very nice. After we were seated we were greeted by our server, Johnathan. He was an overall upbeat guy who was methodically with how he greeted us to bringing us our drinks & bread to taking our order and constantly checking back with us. Now, let's get to the good. I ordered the T-bone steak with baked sweet potato & Mac & cheese. My wife had the NY strip with rice & baked sweet potato & my daughter had the rib eye with Mac & French fries. Everything came out hot and steaks were cooked to perfection! I spent $135 including tip and I feel like I robbed the place lol. The place was busy and everyone around us were having a great time. I grew up completely on Team Outback. It was the first good steak I ever had in my life (sorry, mom). I'm also weird. Like I have loyalty to brands who clearly don't care about me at all. Absolutely loved it here! First of all when you walk in the decor is absolutely beautiful! this is the old Chili's but it is completely redone. Our server Christina was attentive and kind. We had the Texas Tonion appetizer which is much easier to eat than the other steakhouse's onion appetizer. My daughter had the baked potato soup and she said it was scrumptious. First, let me say my review is based almost solely on the food. The service here was great. The meal left a lot to be desired. Being a fan of another popular steakhouse that has frequently been rated as not as good as Longhorn, I had high expectations. When we arrived, the restaurant was fairly empty. We were seated immediately. The wait staff was really friendly and prompt. For an appetizer, I ordered their "tonion" which is essentially deep-fried onion petals. I wanted a big steak, so I ordered the 22oz porterhouse along with a baked potato and brussels sprouts. My friend ordered the fried shrimp appetizer and a New York Strip for her main. The apps came quickly but my tonion was lukewarm at best. They also didn't have as much seasoning as I would have liked. My friend's shrimp were crispy and very flavorful. Portion sizes were pretty good for appetizers. When our mains arrived, I was immediately disappointed by the small size of the steak. I didn't have a scale but no way was this thing 22oz at any point of its time in that restaurant. The baked potato was also very small and not quite as fluffy as I would have liked. I ordered my steak medium rare but it seemed to be a bit rarer than that. It was tough and difficult to cut. Overall, it was a disappointing meal. I doubt if I will ever go back. read more

This place just opened and sadly if it continues to go in the direction of how my experience was, they are likely to plummit before they even have a chance to reach a good peak. 1.) Parking in this lot even remotely close to the building is horrendous and very very small numbers of handicapped spots (yet there seems to be an abundance for curbside pick-up. Remainder of parking is back by the train station parking and to get up to the entrance theres a steep incline of a hill or a bunch of stairs. I certainly couldn't even see getting my mother into the building first off based on this factor alone. 2.) The hostess wasn't exactly "all there". I came in and asked for a table for 1. She asked if I would like to sit at the bar instead of a both and I politely said no, yet she still seated me in the bar section off on the high top tables surrounding the bar. There were plenty other sections with booth tables open so I'm not sure why this couldn't have been accomodated. 3.) The waitress who was clearly the bartender and the takeout order person as well came to take my order. I asked for a litely spicy bloody mary and a glass of water. About 20 minutes after, I recieve a "bloody mary" and no glass of water. So I ask again for the glass of water and off she goes. Take a sip if this "bloody mary" and all it was literally half tomato juice, half vodka, and maybe a sprinkle of salt, pepper and a toothpick with olives for decor. I could not even drink it. So 10-15 minutes go by, and my waitress comes back (still no water might I add) and asks how the drink is. I said its downright awful. She said that they actually don't have all the ingredients to make a bloody mary. Well it probably would have been nice to tell me that instead of letting me order one. So she took it back and I asked for a Tito's Texas Tea and once again a glass of water. Another 10-15 minutes go by, here comes my tea and once again no water. Then she finally takes my order. So I order the Flo's Filet - Pittsburgh rare with a side of mashed potatoes but the baked potato toppings on top of the potatoes, and once again, a glass of water!!! Some more people come in and get seated in their sectons as I'm waiting for my food. Half an hour rolls by before I even get my food (not sure why it took 30 minutes for a rare steak none the less), but all the people who came in after me managed to somehow get their drinks, food, and some even dessert prior to me even getting my meal. So at this point I am expecting my steak to be practically cold but suprisingly it came out hot and cooked to perfection. I know you are waiting for it, and the answer is no, still never got the water so I said forget it since I had already invested enough of my time here, had places to be and was likely going to box it up to go at this point anyway so I could make it to my next destination on time. 3.) Not sure if he was just a cook or manager, but the man who brought me out my steak compted my drink for the long wait and wanted to assure my steak was done right. I assured him it was, thanked him for the drink, asked for a box and the check. 10 more minutes roll by and I finally get that. I pay my bill in cash and put it at the end of the table, and just as I put it down ao I can start packing my food up, my not-so-timely waitress comes by and grabs it and asks if I needed change. I said no, packaged my food and left. Funny how she was quite neglectful and did not care until money was on the table so that really goes to show their "customer service ethics" there. I have been a big fan of Longhorn Steakhouse for years and very so rarely do I ever have an experience that is bad or slightly negative in any way, but this location is a downright-demoralized-dumpster fire because of their staff alone. Me and my family used to love this Longhorn Steakhouse. We would frequent it for curbside take out, but tonight's service was just not acceptable for the prices they charge. My burger, the photo attached, was overcooked, topped with burnt cheese, and the little bacon that was added was also burnt. My fries were unseasoned, and the whole meal was cold. Not pictured, is another burger that was missing the bacon entirely and was topped with toppings we asked to have removed. The only decent thing was the order of Texas Tonions and they were soggy. I ended up having to reheat the food after scrapping the bacon and cheese off my burger. Instead I had to add my own toppings. For so long this Longhorn was consistent. We even opted to eat here after considering another restaurant but ultimately had more confidence in Longhorn. I probably wouldn't eat here again. It's clear they are slipping. read more

No concern about customers health. Informed waitstaff about food allergy to tomato, requested that no tomato be on salad. Was served a salad with tomato. Sent salad back. Received another salad which looked liked there were no tomato's, however after taking a few bites there were tomato's in the salad. Had an allergic reaction. Spoke to manager Marco, who was very dismissive. Offered to comp meal which I couldn't eat because of food allergies and stated there was nothing else he could do. Never asked if I needed medical attention. Stated that he would speak to kitchen staff and apologized. Worst experience. Never eating there again. Can't trust LongHorn Steakhouse to prepare food appropriately. Food allergies are a matter of life or death, clearly LongHorn Steakhouse doesn't take this seriously. Some education & training is needed on food allergies. I experienced reactions to the tomato's which disturbed my breathing and caused hives, however some reactions are far worst and the outcome of this situation could have been far worst. Finally got to check out the new longhorns out with my family after being replaced by Chili's and what a nice upgrade. The place is beautiful inside and very family friendly. Brought my 1 yr old and 4 yr old and they were happy as well. My wife got the rib eye/prime rib steak sandwich which was delicious. I ended up getting the French onion soup which was pretty much perfection, and I also got the ribeye steak cooked perfectly just the way I like it medium well. My daughter got the chicken tender kids meal and these tenders were the real deal not that cheap imitation stuff other establishments sell. The wait was a little long but they had a convenient little sign in online and texted me when my table was ready. All the staff were super nice and several people came to our table telling how cute my kids were because they were wearing Halloween costumes since we had just come back from Walmart Spooky World. Our waiter was fast and kept our drinks full. Overall I really don't understand these harsh reviews. Parking is pretty simple just in front of the restaurant and around it as well. I didn't really understand what people were complaining about? Good food, great atmosphere, great service, and great value! I was pleasantly surprised by the check, it was a lot cheaper than I thought for such quality food and service. I have been to many longhorn, this was one of the best...it was clean, food was cooked perfectly and a great server. The only complaint would be understaff, the server was great but she was handling everything from the bar, orders etc but she never lossed her grace...there was a young man sitting people he will be good just more training an enthusiasm letting him know people are paying for dinner.
