    Shrimp was too salty
    Emily C.

Food and atmosphere were great, and the manager checked on us at the end, which was a nice touch. The only consistent issue is the front-of-house greeting. Each time we visit, the hosts seem disengaged--often on their phones, not acknowledging guests when they walk in. We usually have to initiate the conversation ("party of ___"), and even then there's a long pause while they talk among themselves before seating us. It comes across as reluctant rather than welcoming. They seem like a younger team, so a bit more training on hospitality and customer engagement would go a long way. Overall, great food and service at the table--just wish the initial greeting felt more warm and attentive.

Good steak. Bad sides. Don't get the green beans.

Honestly the rating remains the same mostly because it is dependable but simultaneously inconsistent. The staff is usually very nice and does a great job. I went yesterday evening and we put in a wait time ahead and it said it would be an hour After an hour of waiting they said 15 minutes. That 15 minutes turned into another half an hour or more. I get it's all a guess but I'd rather them overestimate and under deliver than continuously tell us less time and we wait longer. They also need to do better about scheduling only young boys at the hostess stand who constantly kept standing huddled over phones giggling and laughing and being unprofessional. It was 3/5 of them standing there - I guess they also run people to the tables but 3 of them were immensely unprofessional and as that's the first experience it's a little unsettling. My food was good last night great taste- I could tell they always focus on a different like sales pitch. I thought our waitress was really good and just had her own little brief but then another waiter said the same exact spiel which must be new. I know they push the "extras" aka adding shooters and topping your steak - getting gift cards etc. What I would have loved over that is for our table to have had silverware so we could eat our food immediately upon arrival. We had to wait - the waitress was apologetic and nice - great. We got alcoholic drinks no water which we didn't ask for but usually comes out together. The manager came to check on us - we asked him if we could have water. He never returned. If the manager making sure you have an enjoyable experience can't remember to give you waters - that's troubling. Our waitress checked on us after that and delivered waters promptly when asked. Overall a lot more snafus last night but it was so busy and a holiday so it's understanding. The food was great though! I've gone other times and everything goes right but the food misses the mark. So it's really a gamble. Bottom line there aren't a ton of steak restaurant and overall I like this one best.

Saturday lunch Sat at bar. Started with a house salad. What is in the ranch ? Incredible good, I am sure I really don't want to know. 11oz sirloin, very good . Service was very good.

My first time at a Texas Roadhouse in over a decade.. and I remembered why when my food came. First, the service was great, our waiter was training someone and doing an excellent job. The food arrived in an ok time, but the flavor was lack luster. My steak was well done, not medium and had not a touch of salt or seasoning on it. Veggies, no seasoning either very bland. The margarita was not too shabby and of course, the rolls and butter were great. To recap, great service but the food is not for me.

I came here for a birthday dinner. I've been to this location before, but it's been a while. Parking: a private lot Atmosphere: Bright and pretty noisy. Service: Our server was good. She handled our group very well by herself. Drink: Food: Ribeye* 12oz & Grilled Shrimp with baked potato and ceasar salad. The steak was tender and flavorful. Overall, the food was good. The rolls came with a whipped butter and OMG!!! So delicious!!! They allowed us to bring cupcakes in.

I love a good ol' steakhouse--domestic and international; I had the fortunate opportunity to experience Texas Roadhouse ... and was pleasantly impressed I'm a stickler for ambience; the cozier, the better. The 'coziness' couldn't have been more apropos; only thing missing was my flatscreen and Netflix! Felt right at home. Our server was the kind of server you could only dream of: efficient, friendly, caring, knowledgeable and spot on in every way. Let's get to the food...I had the mushroom chicken with a loaded baked potato and Caesar salad; delish!!! Juicy and flavorful chicken; perfect with my strawberry lemonade. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience; delicious food and company in a cozy booth. Highly recommend.

I do have to say ehh over rated coming down to pa again I wanted to try out TR since I heard great things about this place! Fun experience bad food! The calories are high and bad for a potato 300 calories! I have kids I didn't let them eat that! Also my son got grilled chicken off the "adult" menu look at the picture of what he got. CRAP! I do have to say funny birthday experiences! YEEEEHAAA my food was way under cooked so was my hubbys hamburger! But not have chocolate ice cream is not the best. Also the critters hanging out on the shelf is SCARY my 9 month old was crying half the time over it my other kid tried to pick it up. Bad drinks! Waiter was in a pissy mood. Get your act together.

When we arrived, we were seated right away. I'm never sure what I would like to order, and most of the time I resort to what is familiar. Seems like when I do order something different, I'm usually disappointed. Well, unfortunately it happened again! I decided to try the "Tomahawk Porkchop" for a change. It comes with charred carrots and I also got Au Grautin potatoes to go with it. This porkchop is "Huge" and I must say.....presents very well! (See pics). But when I tried to cut it or bite into it, my teeth bounced right back. This porkchop was tough and not done. Same thing for the carrots. They were charred but raw. I was so disappointed. I complained, but didn't demand that they take it back, nor did they offer. I just decided to take it home and finish cooking it for the next day. I simmered it in a covered pan for about 20 minutes or so, added the carrots for about 10 more minutes and it was delicious. That's all they need to do.....just finish cooking it! My family all enjoyed their meals with no complaints. They all got: Steak Penne Pasta, Lobster Fondue Salmon with Au Gratin potatoes and Filet Mingon with mushrooms. I can say my Au Gratin potatoes were really good and chessey! Lastly we ordered a huge piece of cake called "The Big Daddy"! It was enough to share and it was moist and delicious!! Even though my meal was almost uneatable, (until I finished cooking it), I really enjoyed myself and would go back and not order the porkchop! P.S. The wait Staff is very nice and personable and the overall restaurant is very beautifully decorated.

It sits on a corner spot in a cute area of Ambler near Ambler train station. We went for the prix fixe option and everything was mostly tasty: -Riesling was nice -crabcake (breaded): okay; -chowder: well seasoned and hearty -chicken breast: tender, juicy and flavorful; potatoes underneath-smooth and delicious -salmon: sauce on top looked a little weird in color, but this was actually tasty, and cooked well-the broccolini underneath was a bit overcooked by texture and the potatoes were fine -cheesecake with blueberry compote The steaks passing by our table looked and smelled delicious-and we'd return to try them when we are back to eating meat. Service was okay-water glasses were refilled, server read us the specials from her flip pad, we were checked on by both the server and manager. The bussing left something to be desired -crumbs were left on the table, bread was served to several tables that came in after us before we received any, and my dining companion eventually gave up her plate before she wanted to-after being asked multiple times if she was finished with the entree she was trying to savor at a relaxed pace. We were happy not to deal with the hassles of trekking to downtown Philly and would return.

Our meal also included steamed egg, corn cheese, and doenjang and kimchi jjigaes, which did not fall short, either. Our waiters were extremely attentive and accommodating! Our original reservation was scheduled for 8:30 PM and our plans changed, so we wanted to come in earlier.
