Texas Roadhouse is always consistent, with a well executed kitchen. They know how to cook and be efficient. Truth be told, we had initially stopped by Pumpernicks but it was a madhouse and a 20-25 minute wait in a mobbed lobby! No waiting at the roadhouse. I used the app for "call ahead" seating- I do it every when there is no wait. We dined here for a late lunch on Saturday March 21st! I don't recall our servers name but he was very handsome and pleasant. We all chose juicy delicious burgers! Oh YESS!!! They were cooked to perfection! I have not been to a Texas Roadhouse in a loooong time. I was happy to go and celebrate Mom Mom birthday. I quickly remembered the cloud like rolls with the cinnamon butter mmmm so yummy. Everyone ordered what they wish and a party of 20+ they held it down especially Aubrey who managed it all well. I wanted the chicken fried steak as I was craving this for a while. I was a bit disappointed with the chicken fried steak it was tough, salty and too much batter. Baked potato and green beans sides were good as well as the ribs. I did make a comment to Aubrey and she spoke to her manager Desiree. I explained why I wasn't happy and Desiree comped me the entire entree which was well appreciated. Food and atmosphere were great, and the manager checked on us at the end, which was a nice touch. The only consistent issue is the front-of-house greeting. Each time we visit, the hosts seem disengaged--often on their phones, not acknowledging guests when they walk in. We usually have to initiate the conversation ("party of ___"), and even then there's a long pause while they talk among themselves before seating us. It comes across as reluctant rather than welcoming. They seem like a younger team, so a bit more training on hospitality and customer engagement would go a long way. Honestly the rating remains the same mostly because it is dependable but simultaneously inconsistent. The staff is usually very nice and does a great job. I went yesterday evening and we put in a wait time ahead and it said it would be an hour After an hour of waiting they said 15 minutes. That 15 minutes turned into another half an hour or more. I get it's all a guess but I'd rather them overestimate and under deliver than continuously tell us less time and we wait longer. They also need to do better about scheduling only young boys at the hostess stand who constantly kept standing huddled over phones giggling and laughing and being unprofessional. It was 3/5 of them standing there - I guess they also run people to the tables but 3 of them were immensely unprofessional and as that's the first experience it's a little unsettling. My food was good last night great taste- I could tell they always focus on a different like sales pitch. I thought our waitress was really good and just had her own little brief but then another waiter said the same exact spiel which must be new. I know they push the "extras" aka adding shooters and topping your steak - getting gift cards etc. What I would have loved over that is for our table to have had silverware so we could eat our food immediately upon arrival. We had to wait - the waitress was apologetic and nice - great. We got alcoholic drinks no water which we didn't ask for but usually comes out together. The manager came to check on us - we asked him if we could have water. He never returned. If the manager making sure you have an enjoyable experience can't remember to give you waters - that's troubling. Our waitress checked on us after that and delivered waters promptly when asked. Overall a lot more snafus last night but it was so busy and a holiday so it's understanding. The food was great though! I've gone other times and everything goes right but the food misses the mark. Hostess needs an attitude check. It is 8:20pm on a Sunday music is blaring and you can barely hear what the people right next to you are saying. So in Texas in which I come from you have options on your butter regular or cinnamon. The hostess decided to show her attitude and go I'm getting you butter I was asking if you wanted to select your steak. We explained the confusion and the attitude continued to our seat. This is a great option to satisfy a steak or prime rib craving in North Wales literally right by Costco. The meat is quite solid, portions are very generous, and you honestly cannot beat the price. The staff here are also helpful and friendly - plus the food comes out very quickly. Go for the bone-in ribeye and prime rib, and be sure to grab a side of the ribs as well. You can even pick out the steak you want from the meat case in the entryway (they didn't have the bone-in ribeye but the other ribeyes and sirloin were there to pick from). This Texas roadhouse had a good dining experience for my family. It is in the back of a shopping complex. It is not easily visible from the road. We had to wait a few minutes, but it wasn't too bad. There is seating available in the front of the restaurant. The menu was very easy to navigate. If you don't like me, you should not be in this restaurant. I would suggest that it may be helpful to have the types of meat explained on the menu for those that are not carnivore. For example, what is the difference between a porterhouse and a ribeye. I was most impressed with the quality of dishes. The salad was better than expected. Our server provided fantastic service. She checked on us numerous times. This was my husband's and mine's first time eating at Texas Roadhouse. Although, it was a Friday night about 8pm and we were told it would be a 30 minute wait, time went by quickly. We were seated in a cozy little two person table and were greeted promptly with our server, Maya. She asked if we had eaten at Texas Roadhouse before, and were given an additional greeting. Minutes later we were surprised when they presented a sample of their mashed potatoes, chili, green beans, and corns. For the time of night, our food came out quicker than expected. Serving sized were just right for the price. I ended up taking home what I couldn't finish. Even with a full stomach, I chose to try their cheesecake. It was big enough for two to eat and was very light for a cheesecake. My friends and I (group of 3) went on a Thursday night and we were told the wait would be 10-20 minutes. However, we ended up waiting for about an hour to get our table.. Our waitress didn't check up on us often and it was hard to get her when we needed something.. She also forgot what we requested and our orders took awhile to come out. This Texas Roadhouse neighbors the North Wales Costco. Worked perfectly in the "Two birds with one stone," department. You never want to walk into a Costco hungry, if you value your food budget. And, Texas Roadhouse is not a bad place to chow down and fill up. Lots of exposed log beams and paneling with a meat oriented menu to match. As we had another stop to make, we ordered enough to take the edge off our appetites and bring anything left over home for the young men. We went with the Cactus Blossom, N.Y. Strip Steak, Country Fried Steak, and four side dishes that came with the meals. Best on the table were the Cactus Blossom huge sweet Vidalia onion that was deep fried and so attractive in its bowl, and the strip steak done medium, which had good taste and the perfect pink within. The country fried steak was large and tasty, but had a drawback of a brittle breaded shell that broke apart and scattered as it was cut. Too, the white gravy, although plentiful, was overly salted. Had to leave it off the dish. That heavy-handedness reappeared in the green beans and mashed potatoes. Someone in the kitchen must think salt is the answer to every culinary question. It isn't, and it should be left to the costumer to add that spice as he sees fit. We still enjoyed our dinner and the friendly service. The pricing was a pleasant surprise, as the entire check was significantly less than we have seen in post pandemic America recently. That may partially explain the size of the crowd pouring in during happy hour. All in all, 3.5 STARS read more

This location was firing on all cylinders on our first visit!! We do not come here expecting gourmet food or $80 steaks. Our expectations are fully in line with the Texas Roadhouse niche. The reason for the high rating is that everything was executed perfectly: we were seated at estimated time, service was prompt and courteous, food came out exactly as expected, steak quality was better than price point would dictate. When it comes to the large chain steakhouses Texas Roadhouse typically does the best (in my experience). It's nothing great but fairly reliable, this location is no different. They have call ahead seating so that makes waiting less painful. Typically we're greeted fairly quickly upon being seated. The staff, even with a pandemic going on seems to be the same over the past year. So they're doing something right to help their retention. If you order a drink from the bar (and I honestly can't imagine going to a restaurant without doing that), it's going to be slow. In fact, subsequent orders are going to be painfully slow. I recommend ordering your second before you are halfway through the first. I can't say I blame the bartender because the beer mysteriously comes with no head and a 3/4" gap all of the time. Perhaps, working as a team could help their sales? Recommendation number 2, pace your own meal and order separately. I'm not saying I expect a place that's selling $20-$30 entrees to course out my meal. But when I order an appetizer and then my salads come out first, with the app second, to be followed by entrees 90 seconds later...well, you catch my drift. Order your drinks, wait for them to arrive then order an app then about five to ten minutes later order your entrees...this seems to work. I hate running staff but sometimes you have to save them from themselves. The food, it's fine, nothing horrible but nothing to say it's the best thing ever. Their onion appetizer that is trying to be like the Australian place seems to be undercooked a lot, the batter is never fully cooked in the center. I don't know, maybe it's a molten fried onion. Their bread, which I personally do not like (it's too sweet for me), seems to be a favorite of many, my wife included. I actually watched a guy at the table next to me stomp his feet like a toddler a few nights ago because another table got theirs first. So I guess it's in demand and it seems everyone loves the butter on it too. I personally enjoy their salads, probably because they put egg on them. But I think it's a great combination of ingredients when a lot of large chains are cutting back on salad toppings. Their sides usually come seasoned, again, something that is often overlooked in many restaurants. Why yes, there is salt on the table, but can you actually season before you cook it so it's not just sitting on top...they do this nicely. Honestly, why they do the best, is because the steaks are almost always cooked correctly. And I don't mean something where you squint your eyes and say: "yeah...I guess that's about right". I mean spot-fucking-on. I've been to high-end steakhouses that have have dropped this ball more than Texas Roadhouse seems to do. Yes, they're a steakhouse and should get it right but it's amazing to me the percentage of times their competitors screw this up. To me this elevates them to a different level in the realm of highly available, affordable, chain steaks. They actually taste pretty damn good to. Now, on to my large gripe which I will not let affect my overall rating because I know there are a lot of people that don't have this issue. We have a two year old and his attention span is not the best. I don't blame a restaurant for our idea to procreate. It's not their fault our son becomes the spawn of satan if he doesn't have food. So I always make an attempt to prevent armageddon from happening. When I order my tall ice cold beer (at least that's what it looks like in my mind), I order his food and explain apologetically: "it'll be best for all involved if his food comes out before ours". What happens, every single time, no matter what, no matter when, regardless if it's a seasoned employee or a newbie...they forget his fucking food and it comes out after ours. We're not ordering a chateaubriand over here. 99% of the time it's macaroni and cheese. And while some may think there's a soft spoken chef in the back slowly mixing a light roux into a mornay, rolling out some fresh pasta shells and then plopping them into salted water and cooking them to al dente perfection. And just at the last minute drain them and mix it, oh so gently, just so little baby has an ethereal moment. That shit just isn't happening! Slice into the cryovac (most likely Kraft) mac and cheese. Put it in the microwave for three minutes and voila. Little baby satan is suddenly saved by the cheesy goodness of chemicals and who knows what. So, if you're without kids, do not want beverages from the bar and want a decent meal. Go for it. If you're like us, be forewarned. You can allow the night to screw with you or you can like we do try to make the best of it (lot's of snacks and crayons work for the kid). read more

This is your average Texas Roadhouse. The service was slow, the food slow, and just average for tasting. We didn't order anything that would take a while to make: sweet potatoes, salad, and a chicken critter salad; yet, it still took about 40 minutes before our food came out! And then worse still, my sister's chicken was room temperature when we got it so clearly the food had been sitting out a while. People around us were getting their appetizers before we got our meals. Kyle, the manager, was super nice and apologetic. He said the kitchen was slow tonight and everyone was waiting. I've only been to this roadhouse and one in Maryland, and the experiences were similar. This is only someplace I go to if I have to. It certainly isn't a first, second, or third choice. The 2nd steak was an oval (so instead of a flat top and bottom, the top and bottom was round, so a really bad cut of meat). My friend with me got a very nice salmon, salad, and margarita. The service was amazing. Alone I would have 5 stars on service, however the food was the turn off. The service was the ones that looked at the steak and got it redone (I wasn't going to ask, in case they just cooked their steaks like that there).
