Stopped at Five.5 Grill for lunch while passing through Hilliard. My husband's catfish was hot, tasty, and generously portioned . the broccoli was surprisingly flavorful too. My double cheeseburger looked great and arrived hot, but the patty seemed pre-frozen and lacked flavor. Fair prices, solid portions, and we'd eat here again. They were able to sit is right away, the place was clean and the people friendly. They brought us drinks right away and took out order. i got the open face roast beef. It was dry so I asked for more gravy and it was great. The burgers were cooked perfectly. Food was hot and fresh. read more

We were seated right away when arriving a little late on a Saturday night. The server brought our drinks and gave us a minute to look at the menu. I ordered the reuben burger medium. It was a thick burger with corned beef, saurkraut and sauce( We all know it is thousand island dressing). The burger was a little south of medium but it was done. The corned beef was not super salty and I really thought they could have used more kraut. It isn't a fancy place, not much in this little town is. If you want a meal that isn't wings this is where you go. The past 3 times I have ordered traditional wings, they were out of Mango Habanero and the wings were soggy. No one wants to eat soggy chicken skin. I understand being out of a sauce, but take it off the menu if you are not going to be consistent. I will say this though: I wish your Hot wing sauce was spicier, but it has better flavor than the one from R&R. read more

Service was super friendly but slow, the server was apologetic for the length of time that it took for our meals to arrive. Can't enjoy AYCE wings if they are not able to to serve them. Well there is one little strip in Hillard that offers two decent little spots. This was my first stop. Locally and military-owned. Whew, this place is clean and your food comes out fast. They have lunch specials that all run under $10 with two sides. I opted for the chicken fried steak with fried okra and macaroni and cheese (meh, I would skip this side next time). It comes with an insanely delicious roll and their ranch is on point. It probably took less than 5 minutes to get our order. We needed a spot to eat whilst driving through Hilliard. The restaurant was actually pretty busy with locals so we figured it would be a good spot. For appetizers we got the sampler trio which was fried pickles, fried mushrooms and onion rings. That was tasty- I wish we would have just ordered that! We were a party of six and each ordered a dish for dinner. Needless to say not one of us remotely enjoyed our meal. Food was blah. Mac n cheese was a joke. No flavor and quite frankly gross. At first glance you would think this place was a "hole-in-the-wall" gem. Inside is really cool dainty little hole town feel. Between 3-6 the price of your MEAL NOT YOUR BILL is the whatever time you sit down. So, if you arrive and place an order at 4:27 pm your meal will cost $4.27 which is a really cool idea. As a group of three we ordered the cheeseburger with mash potatoes and brown gravy and boneless chicken breast with rice and brown gravy and a side of fried okra. Cheeseburger "all the way" pickles, lettuce, onion, Tomato. It was told to be cooked medium but come out well done. The bread was a brochette bun and delicious, the all beef patty was prepared wrong however the seasoning and quality was really good! Mashed potatoes and brown gravy was outstanding. Tasted like grandmas. Okra, Frieda okra is always good it's hard mess this up. Chicken breast was very tender and juicy with lots a flavors I recommend. I do want to touch on the experiences we had there. We had a strange encounter with the front desk girl who tried to be our waitress... I won't go far into this because she was not an actual waitress and was filling in. Would go back again for a second chance because of the food is really good. but be weary of the kind of service you'll be getting. Food is good though. P.s restrooms were awful. Stephanie was the greatest.She is the best.Have'nt had a bad experience here yet.Anyway...I had sirloin tips for my dinner and Anthony had a reubon sandwich and fries.Everthing was great,nice and quiet and a older couple came in to eat.They sat right behind us.And the whole time they were bitching back and forth to one another about how crappy the service was and food was cold.But they kept on and on and was very annoying about the situation.So my bf stepped up and said out loud"Hey are y'all going to bitch about this all night ?or the whole time your in here because we came to eat a nice dinner,no one wants to here it" So then I told everybody to calm down and chill ,that we are all adults and then the women started running her mouth to me.I said ma'am look plz stop and everybody forget it and eat,mind your business.So then her husband stuck his hand in my face.That was it ,I said we wil take this shit outside.So him and her headed out the door,and my butt right behind them.cause you not going to talk to me like a child.but not going to fight in an professional establishment. I've been several times and have always had great service and good food. The Monday specials are a great deal too.

Five. 5 grille is an excellent split off from R&R (also in Hilliard). The servers are wonderful and atmosphere is great. They even have an ice cream bar with Blue Bell ice cream. They have great burgers and sandwiches. The sliders for lunch are a great size and portion. Their salads are very generous in size. The seafood has great breading if you get it fried...though you can have it grilled, blackened, etc. The boom boom sauce and hot sauce are excellent choices for the shrimp. On Wednesday's they have a 30 piece Shrimp special for $8.99. Overall a great lunch and dinner spot in Hilliard. read more

we had a terrible experience with awful customer service. very immature workers who were too busy gossiping to get an order right. we waited 20 minutes before someone took our order, and then we had to ask for someone to take the order. poor service and food wasn't that great. we will not go back. read more

Tried this place on a recommendation from my dads dialysis center close by. Let's just say it was the first and last time I will be eating at this restaurant. Ordered the country fried steak and gravy and my boyfriend got the trio shrimp and gator tail plate. The steak of mine was burnt and the gravy was so salty there isn't a human hat could possibly eat this without having a heart attack. My boyfriends plate was burnt and dry and the hush puppies were so burnt that they were black and we even told the server and she jokingly said she doesn't eat any hush puppies but her dads. I mean who does that?? Have to say that the staff working there are very friendly . To bad the food isn't as good as the people running the place or u guys would definitely have a little jewel in Hilliard Would have to say that my dads cheeseburger did look decent and he said it had a good flavor but our order was really bad and a waste of 40 bucks. This has to be the worst restaurant in north florida.. This afternoon is the last time I will ever order anything from there. The last four times between three meals there is always a side missing and a sauce. But tonight one shrimp dinner under cooked , no sauce for two dinners ,no hush puppies,no bake potato for one dinner. If you are looking for a night to not to forget this is the place. This is, IMHO, the best restaurant in Hilliard, Callahan or Folkston. Sirloin tips, Chicken Breast tips, fried shrimp, chicken fried steak, or chicken fried chicken, Reuben Sandwich...all are delicious and reasonably priced. The ice cream bar makes desserts even better!! The staff is courteous and friendly. read more
