Just moved to the area and we're hungry after a long day of moving. Found this steakhouse close by our UHaul drop and decided to stop for lunch. Today is the day after Christmas so the restaurant was not very busy. When we arrived they were holding open the door with big smiles and welcomed us kindly. We found a spot at the bar and Rachel came right over with menus and asked for our drink order. My husband had a markers mark and I had a margarita. We ordered a shrimp appetizer while we drank. We both ordered the outlaw ribeye and it does NOT disappoint. Cooked perfect for a medium rare, I had rice with broccoli plus a side salad. The restaurant was clean, well lit and I enjoyed the decor. Overall great stop and Rachel was very kind, professional and made us feel welcomed.

First time visiting Longhorn Steakhouse (LS) in O'Fallon, Missouri a short drive from downtown STL. Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and was seated quickly. LS had the traditional fanfare you expect when visiting a steakhouse. Our server arrived quickly and took our drink order. LS has separate menus for lunch or dinner but you can order full entrees if you're hungry. We went with the lunch specials fir $9.99 and had several choices to choose from. The buttermilk chicken sandwich was delicious and perfectly seasoned. We also ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries. We also ordered stuffed mushrooms with cheese and crispy Brussel sprouts. Everything was served hot. Restaurant was clean and tables were serviced quickly. LS did have a great selection of Country music which was a nice compliment to our experience. We did notice lots of takeout/pickup orders during our visit so the word is out LS is pretty good. Great visit and will be back for dinner and a cocktail.

No wait as it was the middle of the day on Saturday. Lunch crowd like families and "dates." Started with scrumptious chicken wings app accompanied with long pour Mango Margarita with just the right amount of liquor. Fresh mini loaf bread brought to the table. Next, fresh hand chopped salad, juicy ribeye cooked to perfection, baked potato, and more bread KUDOS to the cook! Ik more carbs! But indeed delicious! If you're going to cheat then this is the meal! Cheesecake with caramelized pecans?? Maybe? something gooey and sticky was going on with the pecans. Average. Sweet. Fresh. Service was excellent and waitress was friendly. Average noise def not quiet but not a bar atmosphere either. Low lights, music. Great date night idea!

A causal dinner on a Sunday night,Texas roadhouse is normally our go to but the wait was over an hour so we came here instead! To start off we ordered the spinach artichoke dip, and the chicken wings for appetizers, both were very filling and generous portions that will leave you questioning dinner. The wings were seasoned perfectly, artichoke was hearty and will fill you up very quickly. Steak was cooked medium rare with no issues, I apologize for not taking pictures, Salad I ordered with chicken was great besides the fact they use lettuce, replace it with spinach.

First time at this location and so happy we decided to stop here for lunch. The restaurant is extremely clean and staff is very helpful and attentive. They have a full bar , kid friendly and have daily lunch specials. I had the Parmesan crusted chicken with a side salad and mashed potatoes. The chicken was crusted with garlic and Parmesan and was so delicious and tender, mashed potatoes were perfect and the salad was great loader with diced tomato's , cucumbers and cheese. Husband had the mushroom chopped steak and really likes the sauce and mushrooms and said it was cooked just the way he liked it. Sorry no menu pictures I forgot to take some.

I split a full rack with mom for my most recent birthday meal and I was not disappointed! Naturally, we each had plenty of leftovers. The ribs came out with that perfect dark, smoky bark that's packed with flavor. The meat underneath was oh so tender. For one side, I went with applesauce - a classic. Appropriately chilled, it was a nice, fresh component to a largely roll-me-out-the-door meal. It was topped with a very confident amount of cinnamon. Heavy-handed for my taste, but if cinnamon is your jam, you'll be thrilled. The baked beans, however, came in hot. And I don't mean temperature; I mean with a spicy surprise. The sweetness of the applesauce cut down the bite of the heat, but I longed for milk to put out the little fire on my tongue. I have a low threshold for spicy food, so you may be quite alright with it, but it was a surprise to me. Pappy's is, hands down, my go-to BBQ spot. First enamored by the location nearest downtown, and thoroughly thrilled when they arrived in my city.

The potato salad was dry and pasty. The baked beans were much too spicy. Their service was very fast but it was a workarant. You had to order sit and they delivered it to you. The place was nice decorated with even handicapped restrooms. All in all I would go back for the ribs for sure. S.L.

If you have mobility challenges, park in the back, enter through the ramp and you'll be directly in the main dining room without having to deal with any steps. The establishment has such a fun vibe. It's located next to railroad tracks and embraces the train ambience detailed decor. The dress code is very casual. I was greeted warmly as I entered, and shown to a table. I was pleasantly surprised to not have to wait for a table on a Saturday night, even though they were rather busy. Service was top-notch throughout my visit. And we were even reminded of the "whistle stop" which is when a freight train rolls through unexpectedly and many drinks are half off during that time. It happened once during our 2+ hour visit. This is a barbecue place with many options for carnivores. During Lent season, they have a delicious fish sandwich available. It's really limited options though if you're vegetarian. That may change when they add some Mexican food to the menu soon. I hope. We chose to visit on a night when performer Terrance Wafer was playing. He played known top hits on an acoustic guitar with incredible vocals. We really enjoyed listening to him. I'm already looking forward to returning here.

I ordered a 2-meat platter with burnt ends that were phenomenal and the smoked habanero turkey that was moist and delicious and the spicy BBQ sauce adding a nice little zing. Sides were good and I thought the baked beans were very good but the Mac n Cheese was a little too cheese-whizzy for me and wasn't too crazy about it but will get potato salad next time. Also I'll try their brisket on the next visit l since that's my measure of truly great Texas style BBQ. It's kind of an odd setup for a restaurant since it's inside a service station but it's a really nice service station and the restaurants decor is pretty nice. The baked beans were yummy, the coleslaw was average, and the potato salad was yummy but not memorable. The downside was the staff. While I waited, they were eating and not very business place. I also tried the drive thru, but waited for about 10 minutes with no response, so I went inside. Great food, but the overall experience definitely could use some improvement.

You order at the counter, which was easy, and then pay at the end of the line. The cashier was super helpful and offered recommendations on sauces and offered pickles or jalapeños for my To Go order. I ordered the Big Muddy sandwich which came with brisket, sausage, lettuce and pickles. It was also supposed to have horseradish and bbq sauce, but it did not. Maybe because it was To Go? The brisket was sliced right in front of me, but it was bad. It looked tender, but it was supper fatty and could handle be chewed. I spit most of it out. The problem was probably a bad cut of meat and not the smoking, but they still served it to me. The sausage was great, but only had a couple of little slices. I added some of the sweet sauce which was very good. I chose the beans for my side. Fine, but nothing special. A little dry, so I added sauce to help it go down. Then they had some local soda option, so I passed on an overpriced drink. It looks like there are more local options in the area, I would try somewhere else if ever back in this area.
