The restaurant is pretty spacious with plenty of seating. Food also comes out pretty quickly after ordering at the counter. The back wall of the restaraunt is lined with dozens of trophies and various awards received over the years - a true testament to how great this place is. My husband and I got the three meat plate and the brisket egg rolls. The standout item here was definitely the burnt ends. These aren't your typical burnt ends - these are super tender and melt in your mouth. The brisket egg rolls are unique and packed with flavor as well. The BBQ here pairs well with all the different sauces that are available. We are excited to bring out of towners here!

I must say that the prices are more than reasonable for the amount of food you get. I tried the pulled pork and pulled chicken, both tender and flavorful. The sides deserve their own spotlight--potato salad is my personal favorite, the baked beans and coleslaw hit all the right notes. My brother ordered the burnt ends. Those were another highlight--smoky, rich, and perfectly cooked. They were sold out of brisket when we visited (which says a lot about how good it must be), but that just gives us a reason to come back soon. If you're looking for great BBQ with big flavor and a welcoming vibe, Heavy Smoke is the place. 5/5!

I enjoyed their turkey melt. It was simple. Not over complicated. Not overly flavorful either. It wasn't bad, but it didn't send my taste buds into a chasm of mesquite as i had hoped. The service was good. But, not in a well manicured way. More of a this is very informal dining and holler if ya need me way. Very polite, unpolished, and taken care of. But, it didn't feel like hospitality in the formal sense you imagine when thinking of a sit down dinner. I hope that doesn't come off as a knock or jest. I intend it to be perceived much more as ambivalent. Anyways, no rush to get back, but if my friends wanna go, ill oblige

The staff were friendly and food delivery was reasonably quick. The burnt ends did not "melt" in my mouth like a proper burnt end should. They were fibrous and took a bit of chewing. They were also too sweet, so the meat's natural flavor was masked. The sausage was just OK, nothing special to look forward to. The potato salad was overly mustard based and unenjoyable. Two bites were all I could stand. The baked beans with pulled pork were very good. They could have better if they were more savory and less sweet. If I hadn't just visited family in Austin, TX, perhaps I would've been more favorable to Hendricks. Instead, I had recent reminders of how far they fell short of even average Texas BBQ, let alone Terry Black's. I'm not planning on returning.

Taco Tuesday at BobaQue in New Town Saint Charles did NOT disappoint…read more The $2 tequila and $2 jerk chicken tacos were absolute FIRE. The tacos had this incredible balance of flavors, spicy TENDER chicken with jerk seasoning & sweet pineapple mixed in, and whatever else they put in there just made them insanely flavorful. The ambience is really cute, the place is SO clean, and it was great getting to see the owner Chris who is always so sweet. If you're in New Town Saint Charles MO and looking for a fun Taco Tuesday spot, this one is definitely worth checking out.

There was a long line, no available seating, and we eventually learned that some guests were bringing their own chairs. We were even asked if we had chairs in our car--which we didn't. Had we known the setup beforehand, we would have come prepared. It was a bit overwhelming and felt disorganized, so we ended up leaving without getting a seat or trying the food. That said, we ran into several friends who were there, and they looked like they were having a great time, so it's clear the food and atmosphere are worth checking out. We're chalking our experience up to the holiday crowd, possible short staffing, or simply unfortunate timing. We definitely plan to come back on a regular day because we're still looking forward to trying the food for ourselves.

I wasn't sure what to order, but the friendly staff recommended that I have the brisket, and I'm so glad I heeded their advice. The brisket sandwich was the most tender meat that I have ever had. I had never had brisket before having that sandwich, now my mouth waters any time I talk about this restaurant! The cole slaw that I had as a side provided the perfect crunch and balance. My mate had the pulled pork sandwich, which was also very tender. I also loved having a variety of barbecue sauces on the table and was able to try each one. Everyone has a preference, I'm sure, but after trying each one, I am completely sold on the Carolina gold. Also, I do not typically have a fountain soda, but the cola that was on tap was some of the best that I'd ever tasted. 10 out of 10 for Sugarfire, and I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in St. Louis!

Join the line when you walk in, when you get to the front of the line, you tell the counter person your order, the guys behind the counter were upbeat and friendly. You move on down the line and pick your sides, proceeding to the register. Paying and getting drink cups. Go pick your table with your food if its ready or just yourself if your food isn't ready yet and they will come out and call your name. Raise your hand and they will bring it over, friendly as can be. At the location in Valley Park my standing order is brisket and tater tots , so good! But I didn't see tater tots on the menu so I switched it up and got smoked salmon with fries, and an order of hushpuppies. I got the salmon and fried up first and both were great. Salmon was smoky and flaky, the fries the hand cut style with skin on. Both tasted great with my favorite coffee BBQ sauce. The hushpuppies came out piping hot with a sweet sauce on the side. The hushpuppies were so good! I will be craving them, thinking about them now, mmm. Line moves quickly, friendly staff, good food, fantastic hushpuppies :)
