I rarely review places, but my experience yesterday is still bothering me. Every year on my birthday, I go to Red Lobster. It's my trashy "fancy" restaurant and it's been a tradition for over 25 years. Yesterday was my birthday, so off we went. This particular location has been going downhill for awhile now, so bad service is expected. We're relaxed and I've never talked to a manager before. From the jump, there's a 25 min wait, no problem. We sat at the bar for a round. Over 10 minutes and no one acknowledged us or took our order. The bartender took my husband's order and the couple next to him, not ours. We were with a couple of friends. Eventually, takes our order and charges my husband my the stranger's drink, too. My husband is super laid back and they had a laugh. We're seated and our server is frantic, sweating, and clearly stressed. We're not in a rush, and eventually takes our drink order. 10 mins pass and they arrive. We order apps. They take awhile and there's no biscuits in sight, or plates. We ask for plates. They don't have any. Biscuits arrive, we've ordered our food, and I always ask for extra butter and lemons when I order, bc I don't like running servers around. Food finally arrives, half my crab legs are cold, no extra lemons or butter. I ask, and was told he's waiting on melted butter. Weird, but ok. My husband had ordered endless shrimp and was ready for his second round. He took my crab to reheat. 20 mins later, I talked to the manager to the side. I don't like embarrassing anyone, especially when I don't think most of this was the server's fault. I was explaining, when another server walked about talking about a gift card, and the manager snapped his head around and, in a raised voice, said "Don't interrupt when I'm talking to my guest!!" I was mortified for the kid. I also have a stutter, so tense situations like that make talking really difficult. As managers do, he apologized while looking past me. He stopped by the table, brought butter, my crab, and my husband's food. Our friends had long since finished their meal and had boxes. Everything there ruined my appetite, but I didn't want to talk to the manager again. I would assume he'd comp at least an appetizer, but nothing. They had one cook and one expo all night. That's a nightmare with a full restaurant. Including the tip, drinks, ours and the stranger's, just our bill was well over $150. To the server, B (I won't give his full first name), I know last night was out of your control and you weren't set up for success. Been a while since we were here and they have changed the menu and added a few new things. The cheddar biscuits are still the highlight and oh so delicious, salads were crisp and tasty. The Admiral fears was a real treat with , fish, scallops, shrimp and clam strips plus a side making enough for 2 meals . I recently went to Red Lobster after not having been there in a while. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious. We ordered from the "boils" menu. The amount of food for the price was spot on! We ordered stuffed mushrooms for appetizers and they were delicious, rich & filling. And of course, the biscuits speak for themselves! Our waiter Jeff was absolutely attentive, knowledgeable, respectful and provided great service!!! We were there for a birthday celebration of a special needs person and he went above and beyond to make our experience pleasant and comfortable. He brought the birthday dessert and made our birthday girl extremely happy. Way to go Red Lobster. We hadn't been to Red Lobster in several years. Decided since the new CEO is making moves, let's give it a try. I must say, it was a good meal. Hubby wanted the Walt's Shrimp. He said they were good but way smaller than he remembered. I had the chicken Alfredo. It was good and flavorful. I'm about to warm up the leftovers now. And the flight...lol. Took me for a ride. Loved my experience here for my birthday. This review is simply when I went on my birthday, which has been awhile but my experience was memorable. I wasn't in the best mood since I went to eat at another restaurant and they were closed for cleaning. Red Lobster wasn't my choice to go on my birthday, but hesitantly I did since it was nearby, was hungry, and craving seafood. For starters, our server was amazing! One of the best servers I've had hands down. She sang to me Happy Birthday, twice, and tried to write it on my Dessert Plate. I haven't seen her there since, so I'm not sure if she's working there anymore but I would love to be served by her again. Food was great & plenty. Snow crabs & shrimp were freshly hot. My family and I came here after church to have a meal to celebrate a loved one's birthday. We were a party of 7, (6 adults,1 child). [[HIGHLIGHT]]This location was pretty empty for it to be a Sunday. There was maybe only 25-30 customers in the building.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were asked if we made reservations, (I didn't know you had to make reservations for RED LOBSTER). We were told that our wait would be 1 hr and 30 minutes because we didn't have a reservation. With so many empty tables, and nobody else waiting to be seated, we should have been able to be seated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated at two separate booths, so our party was separated for our meal. We couldn't talk to each other because our backs were turned to each other and it would be so rude of us to yell over the partition.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will say the server Lily ( I think that was her name) was so attentive and a sweetheart. We were craving some seafood so we stopped in for an early dinner last Tuesday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was nice and quiet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ate at the bar, which we had to ourselves-- service was decent, and our food came out fast. The meal was pretty average--not as good as I remembered from past visits. I did get a small Caesar salad (not pictured) that was delicious with lots of toppings. However, I do not recommend the Cajun butter for your crab legs; it was very, very separated. The Titos strawberry lemonade was refreshing and sweet, and only $5 during happy hour! I decided to have food delivered from, Red Lobster. I only live a few miles away, but the total time from when I ordered, to receiving it was approximately 50 min. Surprisingly, while the food wasn't very hot, it was warmer than, lukewarm. As I always say when it comes to ambience, it doesn't matter whether you eat at the restaurant or at home, the food, which was packaged securely for a mess free delivery, was absolutely delicious! I will definitely order my food and have it delivered more often :) read more

Grace was our server. Very friendly, helpful and speedy. Decided to try new choices and get my monies worth and I'm so glad I did. Southwest shrimp bowl was a sweet medium of hot and cold delight. Spring salad , pico , and sour cream was very citrus but the shrimp and orzo rice was a warm sensation. The mix was VERY good . The lobster bisque reminded me of a cheddar soup (really good) the chocolate wave cake and ice cream felt like calgon take me away. A last minute family get together ended here and was the best decision. My pals and I had a big table and we had the best server experience I have ever had (I believe he would refer to him as "D-man" or something like that). The service was quick with amazing food. My mashed potatoes were better than ever and the shrimp scampi was to die for. On top of that, our server always refilled when needed and even was cracking jokes with us! I've always loved Red Lobster, but it has gone downhill. If I want to pay $40-$50 for an entree, I'm going to Bristol's. Their prices have gone WAY up. And their very good Caesar salad (or any salad) is no longer included with an entree. And I ordered a lobster tail, which was burnt and rubbery. If the word "lobster" is in the name of your restaurant, you should know how to cook it. Red Lobster was always a good, affordable option for families but it is no longer the case. When I say I have not been here in decades. I couldn't get res for a restaurant which name I cannot say but their vodka pineapple stoli is amazing( those that know know). My mom laughs and says well red lobster shouldn't be crowded. I brought my niece and I'm simple I don't eat the food ( vegan) so I had the margarita flight. It was very sweet each one. He grabbed her fork and didn't ask but began to dig in and said it doesn't seem hard. I said sir it is can we take it back. He made it seem like it was a bother and I knew then this was a bad idea. The item finally came and at this point it was time to go. My niece never drank her smoothie type drink and I was ready to pay and I asked if they could take it back or off my niece drink because she never drank it. It was another drink so she had that. He said well it's just ( I forgot the price but he mentioned the price it was). I said I'm aware of the price can we take it back. She never wanted it. He said with a sigh and huff that he have to get a manager. Literally a manager I am assuming didn't know the waiter was mentioning myself as wanting the drink taken back and the waiter was mentioning this as a complaint and the manager was beyond irritated it seems and I saw as they passed by so he came by and said that they took it off. I asked for the check and of course I left tip. I wasn't going to leave a comment but I like to highlight good experiences but sometimes you need to mention it all. My mother didn't care for the food and I am 100% sure I would never give business to this location or the restaurant itself. Me and my family went to Red Lobster for a Christmas Evening dinner and it was overall alright. We went in there expecting a nice experience for three. He was quick to asking about things and a little pushy and forgot quite a few of our dishes and orders throughout the meal. However that was fine as it was Christmas day. At the end however he brought over a review card to fill out a survey . I then, as a teenager, filled out said survey and he walked over and physically changed the four star to a five star and submitted the survey without permission. The St. Peter's location never fails to disappoint. After multiple bad experiences I'm throwing in the towel. The food is good if you get it. The service and the management has been so lousy in the last year that we drive a little farther to the Chesterfield location. Our order included two shrimp cocktails. We were informed laster that they needed to thaw. So we ate what was available until the shrimp cocktails came. They were so watery they were disgusting. I want to start off by saying we came on a Friday evening and they were packed, but it does not change my opinion even though they were shortstaffed I still highly recommend coming. If you're wanting to avoid a long wait and delete service, I would highly recommend coming at night on a Friday or Saturday and try to come before the dining rush in the evening . What to order: Ironically, I am allergic to shellfish, but I love coming here for the salmon. I just make it very clear of my allergies. I highly recommend the salmon it is absolutely mouthwatering and delicious. The biscuits are my go to and probably the main reason I come here I just can't get enough in a matter what anyone says the store-bought kind are not the same as coming to the restaurant . My husband likes shellfish and so this gives us a great date night and this evening he ordered the lobster do it and said it was absolute crap. Also highly recommend trying it. The food was delivered by the host and everything came out exactly how we had ordered it and it was delicious! Perfect temperature, excluding the salad bowl that came out piping hot but the salad itself was cold, and the presentation was on par. The bartender was quadruple sat in a row and was doing the best that she could. She was severely understaffed, and the only one working the entire bar area plus serving drinks or making drinks for the entire restaurant. She did an incredible job. read more

We have not been here in many years...but were pleasantly surprised with our experience. We made a reservation via Google and were seated within 5 minutes of our reserved time. Our server was wonderful. Our drinks, salads and app were perfect, fresh and prompt. The biscuits were better than I remember and obviously right out of the oven. Our potato was delicious, as were all of the endless shrimp we ordered. The place was clean and organized. Our bill was not unbearable and we felt there was good value. We will be back. read more

We were told there was an hour and a half wait so we went to the bar and had a good experience! Bartender is super friendly and attentive. We got the endless shrimp but be warned you cannot take any home which is a bummer. The shrimp itself was so tasty! I recommend the shrimp scampi, it was my favorite. We attempted to go to lunch on Veteran's Day. We are ok sitting at the bar for lunch and it appeared open. No one acknowledged us or mentioned the bar area was closed. The manager seating patrons decided it would be best to call us out in front of the severs and people waiting for a table. It would have been best if he or someone just walked up and told us the bar was closed. We may have stayed. Too many options close by. Twisted Tavern was very busy and a full bar but we're able to get a seat right away and get in and out for lunch timely. Every time I come here, the service is excellent. Waiters are always sweet and attentive. Food is amazing- fresh, warm, and well priced for what you get. It's worth coming here just for the cheddar bay biscuits to be honest. I usually come on weekdays after work, so it's not really busy and my food comes out fast. Greg is a rude, disrespectful, and ill-informed manager. I ordered food for pick-up, and upon my arrival, my food was hot, ready, and waiting. I waited about 5 minutes for a host to take my payment, and when I was finally greeted, I was met by a rushed and disheveled Greg, the manager. The problem arose when I asked if Red Lobster had the "Touch To Pay" feature. Greg quickly responded with a firm "NO!" and immediately became upset. He then stated that the only way I could pay was with a card. I tried to find a solution by asking if I could manually enter my card information, but Greg refused. His response was, "There's nothing I can do for you" and "I don't know what to tell you." As the manager, I asked how he could not be familiar with other forms of payment, and he told me to go online to purchase a gift card. I asked for assistance navigating the website to buy the gift card, but he was unfamiliar with the process and could not offer any help. Greg seemed unaware of several basic tasks, such as processing a payment, and gave me little to no options. He rushed me, all while my food sat there, getting cold, and without offering any viable solutions. His lack of professionalism and poor customer service were extremely frustrating. Arrive for dinner at 8:20pm. We wanted To sit at the bar to watch the ballgame but most of the bar stool were gone. We were told it's because the bartender/ server was getting slammed. 2 chairs opened up at 8:30 at the bar so we took them. The server talked to 2 customers already seated at the bar but never even acknowledged us after walking past us at least 5 times. After waiting 11 min my husband went to see if there tables available and we were seated immediately. The last time we were here the same lady was working behind the bar and she told another customer that she was a manager. Well if that's true they need to get better management because she is a poor example of a good manager. Also you now have to pay for a salad. It's no longer an option for a side. A SALAD, that comes with most meals at any other restaurant. Think it's time to find a new place for seafood. read more

Personally, I don't get the appeal, but obviously there are plenty of people that don't agree with me, since this place is frequently packed (so is the local chain I prefer just a few miles west on the other side of I-70). "Every part of that experience was good." - my husband, on our drive home tonight. We walked in, no wait (granted, an hour & a half before close, so after the dinner rush), we were greeted within a minute by a kind and friendly hostess and seated within the next minute or two. Our waiter, Scott, was easily reachable and personable throughout our meal, without being overly attentive. Scott kept our drinks refilled, and was just overall one of the best servers we've had in a long while. The food was all cooked perfectly and arrived to temp, with plenty of sauces available. I got the Pick 2 Platter, and I'm glad I got a salad as one of my sides, or this plate would have been overflowing! If you like Brussels sprouts, you need to try their new crispy Brussels sprouts side. The outer leaves were light and airy, and the centers were crisp-tender and utterly perfect. I have no idea what that glaze on top is, but it's *chef's kiss* As an aside, I've worked in food service, and I saw something tonight that I've never seen an employee do before: while cleaning under the tables, Scott pulled out his phone and used the flashlight to double-check under the tables. Another server was also very attentive, checking under the tables and taking more than usual care when wiping tables down. It's very reassuring to know that the staff cares about the tidyiness of the restaurant. Seriously, y'all need to give Scott a raise. If I owned a restaurant, I'd steal him away from you! St Peters Location. NOT BUSY 15 min before waitress came took our order i ordered parm crusted chicken she said 2 sides I said cesear salad baked potato. My husband ordered admirals feast she said 2 he ordered same as mine. We ordered stuffed mushrooms. They tasted old and smelled funny. She took them back and said she would have the manager take them off. When she brought us the bill: our dinners had additional charges for the salads and the mushrooms were not taken off. She came over and I said why are we being charged extra for salads she said oh salads are an uncharged I said you didn't tell us that. Then I said you didn't take the mushrooms off and she said oh I didn't. The food was terrible, service terrible. When we walked out my husband said we won't be back. read more
