Steakhouse Mac & Cheese
Amanda H.

I was sooo disappointed in this Longhorn. I ordered a medium rare steak like always, decided on fries this time. My daughters ordered chicken fingers and fries, and the other ordered steak and Mac & cheese. My steak was rare, not medium rare - it was charred on the outside and cold inside, like refrigerator cold. My fries were also very cold. I told the waitress and she took it back to cook it correctly. When it came back it was well done and not good at all. Meanwhile, my daughter said her chicken was fine but when she bit into a fry it was cold and uncooked. My other daughter's steak (medium) was rubbery, and cool on the inside. Her Mac & cheese came out with a hair. The waitress took the Mac & cheese and brought her back one that was burnt. In the end, the only thing we ate were the chicken tenders, a few of the fries that came back with my steak bc they were cooked and half of my other daughters steak. We paid almost $80. My daughters are 12 & 13 and said, "I have never been disappointed in a restaurant, even if I don't like it, but I'm disappointed today." Avoid this place.

Bug in margarita

Went there this evening, first off they brought us 4 plates which were dirty. Then they brought me a margarita and there was a bug in it. Manager never came over to talk with us and she was made aware of it. We asked to talk to manager before we left, she never came out to talk with us

Took this off my cheeseburger

So this is my final straw with the Statesboro Long Horn steakhouse. We went there during Christmas holidays, they were busy. We let them sit the three of us at a table in the bar.. Big mistake! We were there for over 2 hours mostly because the bartender kept forgetting our table. We were definitely not her primary responsibility. We went back again before New Year's Eve and had a better seat. I wasn't very hungry so decided to just get a filet and some Texas-Taters. I asked the server if she knew what that was and she informed me the new management did not allow them to take orders for that. She was nice enough and just following orders but this location does not want the extra steps involved to make the potatoes that way. So I decided to go with the Seven Pepper Steak. She suggested I upgrade to the filet I wanted but I didn't want to pay the extra charge. I was content with the sirloin. Problem was it was totally inedible. Having cooked a lot of steaks at home, I would never complain about the doneness of a steak and this steak was ok. But it was nothing but pure grissle. Every bite I chewed and chew trying to make it work. I had to take each out of my mouth and put it on a plate. So I wound up with a $17 salad. So if you eat there, don't let them put you in the bar, don't ask for Texas Taters, and don't order the Seven Pepper salad. This location is not the same caliber of the other locations I have eat at all over the US. They are packed with customers because they have no real competition but the fix for that is being built right down the road. The quality of this location will make competitors job easy.

Today I went on a double date with some friends we had a good time. We go there and even though it wasn't extremely busy they got us a seat pretty quick which was great. I ordered the filet and lobster which was pretty delicious. You definitely can go to lots of other restaurants that order steak and get better but longhorn is still pretty good.

Salads and firecracker chicken rolls and the onions are all eaten lol

Always a good experience at this location. Food is fresh and wait is not very long if there is one.

The food is more or less what you would expect. The service is questionable. When the waitress…read morestarts to suggest changes to your order, ie, salad instead of fries, more chips & salsa - they should also tell you that there is a charge for it. I had a mushroom cheese quesadillas & it came with chips & salsa. Since the person I was with was also eating the chips & salsa I asked for more. No problem until we got the bill. The "suggestions" cost extra, and we were charged for the additional chips and salsa. If that's their policy okay, but please let the diners know ahead of time. Also, my quesadilla consisted of 3 pieces. Every other place I've ordered one there were 6 pieces & I took 3 home for the next day. Also, I'm considered tiny - 4'11", about 108# & 3 pieces was not enough food.

Most recent trip a lady at the GSU football game recommended it. Me and my two alumni buds opted to check out. It has a decent outdoor area and an interior that reminds me of Taco Mac. Atmosphere was good and our server was great. The Buffalo chicken artichoke dip with points was the only thing I enjoyed food-wise. The fried green tomatoes weren't really seasoned and the tequila lime chicken sammie wasn't anything to write about. Ordinary. I guess if you're a college student, this place will suffice for price, food proportions and atmosphere. I do like it's not a chain and always want to support local. Average, however. Maybe I need to try a different menu item ...

We promptly got sat by the lovely staff working. We sat outside, I ordered an Aperol spritz and my husband got a Bloody Mary. All of our drinks were delicious, reasonably priced. The Bloody Mary wasn't spicy (although a table next to us was complaining it was...), and the Hugo spritz was SO refreshing! They for the fresh mint from their herbs out front! Only complaint was we prefer our espresso martinis to be mostly espresso heavy, and this one was more cream heavy. We ordered the Brussels, country breakfast (subbed cheese grits instead of pancakes because we're gluten free) and got a side of fresh fruit. It was so much food. We didn't finish it all! The grits were nicely seasoned and cheesy. Brussels were super crispy and not drenched in grease or sauce. Eggs were nice and salty, potatoes were fried nicely. Everything was great. We would love to come back for lunch or dinner - especially happy hour. It wasn't too loud and we felt there was plenty of seating.
