I ordered my steak medium rare and the server confirmed how it would be cooked with a cool center. Salads and our waters arrived. The server said the bread would be out soon. If you've been to any chain steakhouse, you know the bread loaf is a big plus to your meal. Our steaks arrived but still no bread. My steak was more like medium well vs medium rare. The server took it back to get me another steak. My dinner guest ate very slowly but she was almost finished before my steak arrived. Still not medium rare but not so over cooked I couldn't eat it. The bread did arrive about the time my steak was served. I expect steakhouses to know how to cook a steak properly and this was an epic failure. So this is my final straw with the Statesboro Long Horn steakhouse. We went there during Christmas holidays, they were busy. We let them sit the three of us at a table in the bar.. Big mistake! We were there for over 2 hours mostly because the bartender kept forgetting our table. We were definitely not her primary responsibility. We went back again before New Year's Eve and had a better seat. I wasn't very hungry so decided to just get a filet and some Texas-Taters. I asked the server if she knew what that was and she informed me the new management did not allow them to take orders for that. She was nice enough and just following orders but this location does not want the extra steps involved to make the potatoes that way. So I decided to go with the Seven Pepper Steak. She suggested I upgrade to the filet I wanted but I didn't want to pay the extra charge. I was content with the sirloin. Problem was it was totally inedible. Having cooked a lot of steaks at home, I would never complain about the doneness of a steak and this steak was ok. But it was nothing but pure grissle. Every bite I chewed and chew trying to make it work. I had to take each out of my mouth and put it on a plate. So I wound up with a $17 salad. So if you eat there, don't let them put you in the bar, don't ask for Texas Taters, and don't order the Seven Pepper salad. This location is not the same caliber of the other locations I have eat at all over the US. They are packed with customers because they have no real competition but the fix for that is being built right down the road. The quality of this location will make competitors job easy. read more

My husband and I come to this restaurant at least once a week and never have an issue. Earlier today we came in and wanted to sit at the bar to have a few drinks. We were unsure if we were going to order food or not but at the time we just wanted to get a few drinks in being it is Labor Day and we were both off work. We surpassed the hostess stand and went directly to the bar since that is typically what we do and were chased down and told that we could not sit at the bar because the kitchen was busy. There was a whole side of the bar empty and all I know that if I was the bartender there I would be pretty upset that the hostesses are limiting my income by not letting anyone sit at the bar. Tell people there are 11 parties of 12 or more people in front of them, something! The manager Christina did look up our name at the hour and a half mark when I made contact with her. She explained the difficulty they were having with large parties and handled our interaction so well I decided to stay. About 10 minutes later she found a table for us. We had further discussions and I told her the hostess had just told the couple that just walked in a wait of 10 minutes lol. We were finally seated and our server was great. Bread and salads came quickly as did appetizers. Appetizers were perfectly prepared and well presented. The place was packed with families celebrating graduation. Kudos to the kitchen. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time given the crowds. Food was excellent. I had sirloin and red rock shrimp with baked potato and my sirloin was medium, not overcooked at all. My husband had a renegade medium rare and it was perfect. My son had flos filet and lobster tail and his rare filet was lovely. His girlfriend had no complaints with her chicken dish and our son had lobster mac n cheese as well as a bacon burger which was juicy and looked great.
