    Good drink

Everything was worth it . The service ,food and atmosphere . I will be back with my family again

Chicken curry, my favorite of the three, chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, garlic naan and jasmine rice!

The food was 10/10, everything tasted fantastic. The chicken curry was my favorite entree but the garlic cheese naan was my favorite overall. The cream cheese filling was the perfect addition and I love cilantro so that was fantastic! Delaney was our server and was on top of everything and had great recommendations for my first visit. Never went thirsty as refills were always there before you could even ask! The atmosphere is great, I enjoyed sitting at the high tops near the bar. The bartender is skilled and my barrel aged house cocktail was delicious, a tequila manhattan. The tandoor and tap house beer was also delicious, nice and light. I would recommend this place to anyone!

    Shrimp korma. Garlic naan, rice

Not too bad of an Indian Food option in Statesboro. I got the shrimp Korma, and the taste was pretty good, but there were too many almonds added. The garlic naan was REALLY good, and the rice wasn't bad. The reason for three stars was that I had to pay for rice. I've never had to pay for rice when ordering an Indian dish, so I don't really like that. And the extra almonds were a bit too much for me. Staff were really nice here, and the lunch crowd is pretty busy. I ordered some food to go, and that came out at the perfect time. I spent about $45 for my lunch (including the to go option). Pretty normal for Indian food, but the itemized list was a bit pricier for the portions I received.

Hands down one of the best restaurants in statesboro with fantastic selections all over the menu. If you're looking for something savory tandoor and tap is your place, only thing that is pushing my rating down is the service. We were not given a refill and or an extra plate when asked but were quick to give us the bill. Overall, the food was amazing, I would recommend the Chicken tikka or the butter chicken. The service was something I can somewhat look past but I was very pleased with how the dishes were. I would recommend trying to call ahead as wait times were nearly an hour.

Awesome! - This little place is have Indian buffet now - Tue-Thursday! The city has got new sensation with the Indian food here!! Their dinner menus are good too!

I passed through this college town, finding likely one of the few vegetarian-friendly restaurants of note in the area. It lives up to the name, with a brick-lined interior next to the city hall that seemed as focused on being a bar as they were on serving Indian food. The thing that I was interested in was their chole puri, chickpeas with fried bread for dipping. This was a hot and fresh dish that was spicier than I expected. The bread wasn't enough for dipping all of the chickpeas, which I attribute mainly to the portion of chickpeas being generous (I didn't want more bread). It was robustly flavored food with some whole leaves and spices in the chickpeas, but also a lot of oil. It's comfort food. The mango lassi I got on the side was thinner in texture than most such beverages (they're based on yogurt); it wasn't bad, but not something I'd jump at ordering again. On the food side, I wish they had some smaller appetizers or salads and soups, but there was plenty on the entree menu that I'd be happy to try in the entirely likely circumstance that I stop here on the way to the beach once again.

Best happy hour in Statesboro! Friendly bartenders, hosts and wait staff. I do wish the owner would greet us though. I'm not a big fan of hot spicy food. And even their low Spiced food is still too hot for me. But still worth the visit for drinks. Haha. And most of my friends enjoy some heat. I know it's Indian food but a green vegetable as an appetizer would be helpful for those trying to lose a few lbs. Even celery within their Spicey dip would be helpful for those that can't handle gluten. Perfect ambiance! It feels upscale without being too pricey.

Amazing food, great atmosphere. A must is the garlic cheese paneer appetizer- 11111/10 would recommend!! Butter chicken was flavorful. My hometown place closed, 2100 miles away. This is my new go to place in GA. Service was great. I forgot to ask our waitress name. She was on top of our drinks- food came out super fast.

Naan, vegetable jalfrezi, and basmati rice.

I had the vegetable jalfrezi with house made paneer and fresh piping hot naan. It was delicious- albeit a little pricey for a vegetarian dish. I would definitely recommend this place and will visit again. The service was also good.

Very good food. For our family of four we ordered the Chicken tiki and the whole chicken with two sides of rice. It was so much food and we got to have a little of everything. We will definitely be back

I tell you what! I've have Indian food at MANY places, but this is THE BEST I have ever had! Oh my god, I cannot rave about it enough! Ugh! SO FREAKING GOOD! The service is great, the decor is a little bland, but the food speaks for itself! 10 STARS!!!!!

It's obligatory to start with a MANGO LASSI to have on hand just in case the situation gets a bit spicy! The buffet included VEGGIE PAKORA, CHILI CORN for small bites. Entrees included FIVE SPICE CHICKEN, BUTTER CHICKEN, DAL MAKHNI, and more. The GARLIC BASMATI EGG FRIED RICE is so good! Bits of cabbage and bell pepper and carrot give it wonderful color and flavor. There were two desserts - a colorful crunchy syrupy one and then a CARROT HALWA. Both texturally great with wonderful gingery flavors. Ambience is bright and open - perfect for a weekday lunch.

There are a…read morecouple of notable things about Naan Appetit that I feel I must share because there is a similarly highly rated Indian restaurant within a stones throw away from Naan that it that also deserves comparison. I will review that restaurant under separate cover, but just know that when comparing this one to Persis, I would rate Naan Appetit as the better restaurant. But ultimately they are two different experiences within the Indian food category and for that reason are very hard to compare (more on that in the Persis review). But now let's talk about Naan Appetit. So what I really like about this restaurant is the value for the ambience and atmosphere. This is a very nicely appointed restaurant that I actually thought was a furniture store before we realized it was an actual restaurant. Very well appointed well designed and upscale in look, feel and function. Service is very strong with multiple servers and front of house greeting you immediately upon entry. We were seated within 3 to 5 minutes of walking in, and this was on a Friday night with a fairly full house. Once we were seated, our server immediately came over, provided us with menus and gave us a bit of information about the restaurant. We then proceed to ask a couple of questions about level of spice, and were really pleased with the servers descriptions of the various items on the menu and which ones we may or may not want to avoid depending on our spice level preference. I really appreciated the way the menu was set up which allowed for fairly easy decision making when it came to what we wanted to order. We went with mostly traditional entrees, ordering the lamb vindaloo, and the korma. Both were authentic and very well seasoned and spiced. We also ordered a couple of the garlic butter Naan bread, which were also really good. And lastly, we tried out the tandoori wings, which I had read on previous Yelp reviews were a highlight of the restaurant. When we first asked the server about them, he seemed a bit reluctant to recommend them because of the time it would take for them to be delivered to our table, which was approximately 30 minutes. We told him we weren't in a rush and didn't have anywhere else to be so we were totally fine with ordering them. It turns out that they ended up coming to the table before our appetizers even made it. So a bit of an overblown concern there. Outside of that little wrinkle, our overall experience was really pleasurable, especially given the sub $100 price point we paid including tip. This is definitely one of the restaurants we will be going to during our stay here in Savannah. And if I had to give the best advice on the difference between this restaurant and the other, I would say pick this for date night and pick the other one for family night.

In spite of the high recommendations from my normally reliable local guides, sadly, "the new Indian food place" in Statesboro fell short of my expectations. "Good" my have passed the muster not that long ago; but, that was then... Upon entering, we were met at the door by an enthusiastic and amicable host, that immediately escorted us to our table, making pleasant small talk as he did so. Once we were seated, our drink orders were immediately taken; and, menus were distributed. I noted several other parties seated and eating, in what was a clean, comfortable and tasteful environment. Just as our drinks arrived, My daughter, son in law, and i had made our meal choices. So far, things were looking great. We all agreed on the "Chicken 65" for an appetizer. This consisted of deep battered chicken, deep fried to a golden, crispy texture, placed upon a bed of onions. Although I found the crunch palatable, the chicken was overwhelmed by the exterior, providing little taste, and a dry, chewy interior. The true premeal power house was the Nan sampler basket. Whether we sampled the regular, onion garlic or green chili Nan, each bite of this soft, chewy, yet light, bread was a treat. The entrees followed quickly: Chicken Madras, for my daughter, Chicken Chettinad, for the Son in Law, and, a personal favorite, Lamb Vindaloo, for me. Piling a few spoons of rice on my plate, I quickly covered them with a good portion of the much anticipated red curry sauce, that I found somewhat lacking in lamb, over compensated for with potatoes. This could be forgiven, if not for the fact that the overall taste was...terribly bland and lacking in the heated spicy flavor I've come to expect from a Vindaloo, having had some of the best, elsewhere. Ironically, my Son in Law found himself mopping sweat from his brow, as he praised his Chittinad, prompting the host to offer a complementary Mango Lassi, to quell the burn. Likewise, my daughter had no criticism of her Chicken Madras. Ironically, I was the only one of us not to have enough left for a doggy bag. Up to this point, service alone would have earned that additional star, but, it seems we were forgotten for a time. This allowed for pleasant conversation; but, when the length of time between eating and being asked if there is anything more you want reaches a point where you began to question weather or not your host is interested in being paid, the wait becomes, excessive. Once the bill did arrive, seemingly by Pony Express, I was pleasantly surprised that every thing noted above came to just under $85.00, before tip. This brings us full circle. Would I eat there again? Maybe someday; but, not today.

And the only reason this isn't a four was primarily tied to Service. But more on that later. First, I want to start with the review on the food, which technically was a solid four if not, a 4 1/2. This is very authentic. Indian food served in a very modest dining room setting in family style plating. Prices are fairly reasonable, but as with other restaurants in this area, you are paying a bit of a premium because of the overall area itself. That being said, this is a very accessible menu, which primarily pushes the Non Indian customers towards the more popular, Indian entrees, where they feature a mix and match protein style. We had dinner there with another couple that was in town visiting and they also were Indian food fans, and coincidentally, familiar with the restaurant themselves. We all ordered traditional entrees, along with a couple of drinks. For one of our diners, they ran out of Coors light when he tried to order a second so he switched to a Coke afterwards. Now on to the service. My main complaint here may have just been tied to our specific server, but there just seemed to be a bit of condescending energy with the way in which he approached taking the order. Even though we are very familiar with Indian food, we had not seen this Asian-Indian sub menu before and started asking questions about some of the items on the menu. There was a fried rice dish and a fried noodle dish that were approximately $15-$16 in price which made us think they were entrees. When we asked the server about the entrees, he condescendingly corrected us by telling us they were appetizers and instead of pointing out other things on that part of the menu that we might've been interested in as a entree, he pushed us back to the traditional Indian standards almost as if to say, don't venture off of the beaten path and stick to something that likely won't disappoint you. I'm never a big fan of servers shepherding Non members of the culture to the basic and most popular entrees. When I go to an Indian restaurant, I don't always want somebody to recommend tandoori chicken and Nan bread when there are so many other diverse dishes on the menu. We also found the same server to be a bit slow when it came to clearing the table and coming back to check on everybody after entrées had been delivered. From looking around in the restaurant, it appeared to me that this was a popular choice with Indian families in the area, and I am pretty sure that was primarily tied to the quality of the food and the authenticity. However, I would definitely not recommend this as a date spot and would recommend heading over to Naan Appetit instead if that's the Vibe you're looking for. Overall, not a bad choice. depending on what you're looking for. But as good as this is, still not the best choice for Indian food in the area.

There is truly something for everyone on the menu. My personal favorite is the paneer makhani, while my kids are obsessed with the butter chicken (I can't blame them--it's incredible). The chicken tikka masala, curries, and kormas are all rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. My sister and I can't resist splitting the chili paneer, and we never sit down without ordering a few vegetable samosas and plenty of garlic naan for the table.
