We asked for a side of sauces and they gave us large sizes for sauces, but I will say the portion sizes for fries seemed small. Total price for everything was great! They offered several draft options. The onion rings were amazing! Light and crispy. And when I took a bite, they didn't fall apart! The burger was also good. It was hot and juicy and cooked as I ordered, medium. The fries were seasoned and tasty. The bartender was nice and helpful! She chatted with me for a few minutes asking about the football game I was in town to see. Loco's remains a stalwart in Statesboro. I ate there 20 years ago and last night. It hasn't changed a bit. The menu is not what it once was, but that is the chain in general. I have loved this chain for years for doing it all well. I had a nice young server that was fast and friendly. I sat on the porch. Chicken quesadilla, sweet potatoes fries and a brownie. I immediately started eating my salmon and baked potato first for before trying the broccoli when I did put one in my mouth before I could even bite i realized by putting my tongue on the broccoli its was VERY COLD . Not cold mixed warm but COLD as if it came straight out the freezer and they just sprinkled seasoning to make it look finished. I told my waiter and walked away and the manager came. When the guy came I told him again what I told the waiter that I'm also telling in this review he told me because my good have been out for a certain amount of time he can not make any accommodations for me no (discounting my meal , replacing my broccoli for a warmer one) NOTHING. I've been served with freezing cold food and forced to eat what they gave me with no remorse. 0/10 regarding customer service on management behalf. Hubby LOVED his burger as did I. Biting into my burger, there was a distinctive thin crust to the patty with a deeply beefy flavor. Excellent! Overall, components of my burger complimented perfectly. Onion rings had a light yet crispy exterior with a perfect oniony flavor absent any greasy, over fried flavor I usually come to expect when ordering onion rings. Really perfectly executed! There was a dipping sauce for the onion rings but I didn't pay attention to a description but I would say it was like a Parmesan, pepper mayo with a touch of ketchup in it. It was a flavor sensation! It was a Sunday afternoon when most places are crowded. We were seated right away and our server "Hannah" promptly greeted us and took our drink order. Hannah was extremely helpful in recommending food and drink items. We started off with Chips and Queso, Salsa and Fried Mozzarella. All were outstanding! For our main dishes we ordered Chicken Tenders with Fries and a Cajun Hamburger with Sweet Potato Fries. Both were amazing! We will definitely be back! Loco's has a good menu, different options than your typical wings or burger spot. And you can order how you want your burger cooked, I go rare and they doi it right! Service is too slow though, not the wait staff, they are great, is getting your food. Is always over a half hour even if the palce is half empty. Otheriwse would be a 5 star :) read more

This is a very popular place for college students and others. It gets a little noisy sometimes but the food makes up for it. I always get the same thing the fried shrimp with loaded baked potato and broccoli. The shrimp are great, very large and cooked just right. I love the sauce that comes with it, I eat it on everything. The service is very good even though it's usually very busy, that's what it's like when you have good food. Ok so it's a chain, albeit a Georgia chain. The decor is right out of the TG McFunster's playbook and the music is a little bit loud. They have a nice front porch where you can sit on the evenings when the gnats aren't so bad. Which makes me wonder. Why are there so many gnats in Statesboro? The menu is pretty much what you'd expect to find at this type of place with one exception. The roasted wings are exceptional. Dry rubbed and perfectly roasted (not fried) so the meat just falls off the bone in such an elegant way. They're almost as good as the ones I make at home. read more

After a recent Georgia Southern game, we started at Wild Wing Cafe, but after learning they only serve a tiny menu after 10pm we left and went to Locos, which right away panned out to be the correct thing to do. We had a cute, college waitress, who was a sweetheart and worked her tail off to make sure we had a good experience. She seemed to want to be here working, which is often rare in a place like this. Fortunately, the food rivaled the service. For a sports bar type of atmosphere, the food was perfect, not as greasy as Hooters and places like Buffalo Wild Wings and a step up from Wild Wing Cafe a few blocks down the street. The wings were solid, the burgers tasted fresh, like they were padded on site and the chips and salsa was more than edible. We had a great time here (and those in the bar area seemed to be having a blast). When in town for a GSU event, I can't imagine finding a better place to hang out before or after games. It's affordable, the staff is friendly and it serves families and groups of friends hanging out equally. read more

We finally came here for dinner, and are now very glad we did! We arrived when business was slow, so our waitress Amanda was able to spend as much time as we needed to explain the menus choices and offer some suggestions. My appetizer, a steak quesadilla arrived, and was so good once she tasted it, my lady joined me in devouring it. It was correctly made in a flour tortilla, unlike the fried corn torilla mess we were served at Gnats Landing the day before! She ordered a Cobb Salad and a baked potato, and i ordered their "southern jam" burger and a "loaded" baked potato. She said her salad was really delicious, and also raved about her baked potato. My Loco's specialty burger was a very delicious concoction: the barbeque jam on top truly made the burger even more tasty, and was complemented by the sharp cheddar cheese on top. My loaded baked potato soon became a mess on my plate, slathered with the margarine (not butter) and sour cream. The cheese and bacon added a really pleasant extra flavors and textures to my baked potato. Amanda brought us regular refills for our drinks, and ensured that we lacked for nothing.
