Hubby and I went for our 4 year wedding anniversary dinner and it was pretty good! I got the NY strip (medium rare + perfectly cooked) with Mac & cheese (little bland but still good!), Caesar salad (needed a little more dressing), and the patron dragon fruit margarita (SO GOOD) as a long pour and it was definitely worth it, got about 3 glasses out of it. Well, I would expect people in Texas to rate this lower than Texas roadhouse. But they got it wrong. The flo's filet mignon dinner is one of the best steaks I've had in Texas for a chain restaurant. Cooked perfectly every time the asparagus is nice and thick and crisp. You get a large salad bread and it's never crowded. Parking is plenty. I would select this place to eat steak at over roadhouse which I've been to several times any day of the week. A friend of ours told us to go there instead and boy they could not have been more right. Desserts are somewhat limited, but you won't get a better steak than the flow's filet mignon. read more

Food was actually very good, but service was pretty much non-existent. I sat at the bar and the bartender was not behind the bar 99% of the time. Filet was rare despite being ordered medium rare. Sent it back and it came back the same way. The staff was apologetic, and offered to take it back again but the rest of the diners had already finished their meals. No-one offered to take it off the bill or compensate in any way. I was told that I should order it medium next time in order to get it the way I wanted. The salads and potato sides were as promised on the menu. There's typically always something that can be improved on, some little nit picky thing is Yelpers can find wrong with a meal. I tried, I really did. This place just did everything perfectly. It was my first time dining at any Longhorn Steakhouse; I'm from Mckinney. I live and die by Texas Roadhouse. My first impression of this place was "Why would I pay a few bucks more for steaks I can get at TR?" Here's why: It's freaking peaceful here. No loud music or annoying young server. Our waitress, Kendra I think, was maybe in her late 50s and so sweet. Never once did our sweet teas run out. The bread was served warm; we signed up at the table online for a free app and were able to redeem it right then! We decided to try the calamari which is tossed in this heavenly sweet and spicy sauce. There wasn't any left lol! Even my picky kids loved it. My house salad with blue cheese was a pretty standard steakhouse salad, fresh and delicious. The real winner here is the filet; served as requested medium rare, it had the perfect seasoning and that beautiful lobster hollandaise was so perfect. You know how easy it is to overcook lobster? Not here. Perfectly sweet and juicy and melt in your mouth perfection is all I experienced. My Manchild's sirloin was so good I looked up and it was gone. One of the best steaks he's ever had he says, and that man has eaten steak all over. My picky eater children loved the grilled tenders and Mac n cheese offerings, and I appreciated the fresh fruit offering as a side for them. Strawberries, apples and oranges. Service was amazing, and it matched the food. I'm tired have having bad steaks in Texarkana, so no more. The salads were OK, the cup of chili tasted like canned Hormel, the shrimp was middlin', and my prime rib... ... not tender but soft. I've had tough prime rib, stringly prime rib, overdone prime rib, but soft? Don't ask me how they do it, but it was dry and soft with very little beef flavor. It was overseasoned with herbs, too; maybe that is where the beef flavor went. On the bright side, the mashed potatoes were excellent as was the bread and lava cake. We had a reservation for a party of 20 at 6:30 for a Birthday dinner. The whole party arrived by 6:25 and was ready to be seated. It took over 1 hour for all 20 of us to be seated. Not only was the wait far more than expected, our party had to be split 3 ways at 3 different tables. I think it is unacceptable to have a call ahead reservation and have to wait that long. Absolutely disgusted with this Longhorn. Usually a favorite with my family when traveling to other cities, it seemed like a safe bet for dinner after we checked into our hotel after 8 hours on the road. We put our name on the list and were told 20/25 minutes. Parties were being seated at a pretty decent rate and after about 20 minutes the buzzer went off. We went to the podium and after some rather odd grumbling and huddling around the computer, we were told it was a mistake and we were asked to sit down. I asked what the problem was and I was told another party hadn't left yet. They seated another party the same size as our (6) while we were still t the podium. The woman who appeared to be the manager saw me looking puzzled and said, "Ih, they called ahead." It seemed a little strange, but I was assured that we were "next on the list." Over the next 10 minutes or so, three more parties were seated....all which had arrived after us. Looking at the dining room, we could see numerous set empty tables. It was clear something wasn't right. My family became uncomfortable and wanted to leave. It finally hit me...my family didn't look like the other patrons who were being seated. We are a bi-racial family. I went back to the podium, and the manager quickly said..."oh, we are still, waiting for a party to leave." Yet looking over her shoulder, I could still see set, empty tables. I handed her back the buzzer and said "I'm looking at the parties you've been seating, and I'm looking at my family, and asking myself what's different. It's kind of obvious, don't you think?" Seriously....this is 2019. I hope that the Longhorn senior leadership reads this...your Texarkana location is either grossly incompetent or blatantly bi UPDATE: I was contacted by the Director of Operations and I'm confident that our concerns were taken seriously and will be addressed. After months and months of seeing their juicy steaks commercial, we finally spotted this place on a return trip home. So, it wasn't an enigma after all... We went during lunch on a Sunday. The place seemed new, fairly clean and surprisingly empty. We ordered the Porterhouse for two and added an additional lobster tail ... It was huge, husband was able to finish most 32 oz. of it for us. The steak was cooked well, but the star of the show was the steak sauce served table side with a hot coal and chili garlic sauce. It was delicious! I asked for the recipe but their lips were sealed on this one. My lobster tail was mushy and soft sink sent it back. They were nice enough to remove this from our tab which was cool. Overall, it was a good experience. The service was good and folks were very accommodating. Went here for a late lunch, and we were both disappointed. I had not been to a LongHorn in probably 8+ years, and I remember when we last went, I liked it! But today was disappointing. Started with the chili cheese fries for appetizer and got some drinks. I had a lemon drop martini... it was just okay. The fries were okay, nothing really special. I had the filet and my husband had a burger. The fries with his burger were SUPER salty. I like salty, but just beware if you get them. My filet... I'm not convinced it was a filet?? It was thin and overcooked. It was edible but definitely not worth the money. I had a Caeser salad - I couldn't eat it, it had so much dressing on it. The baked potato with my steak was really good. My husband said his burger was just okay. Our server was super friendly and fun. We really liked her, and she was prompt with refills. Overall we were both disappointed in our lunch.
