Hubby was in the mood for some steak so he suggested takeout. I saw that they had Parmesan crusted lamb chops over spinach and mash potatoes on the menu so that caught my attention. For my side I chose a Caesar salad. The dressing is creamy and delicious. The mash potatoes were fluffy and delightful. Drum roll for the main attraction lamb chops which were covered in the Parmesan crust. A bit too much for my liking and I love cheese. Horrible experience at longhorn. Did the usual waitlist, waited, was seated and ended up waiting an hour and a half for our food because "the kitchen is slow". Half of the establishment wasn't full because the previous parties had left but our food no where to be found. Spoke to two managers that didn't apologize instead made excuses, and the last manager Claudia was so rude and said they would comp our bill and that my table and I were done here. No one told us the kitchen was slow, no updates on our food we constantly were asking and the table next to us got their food before us and was almost done with theirs by the time ours came. You should not be a manager if you cannot communicate or even apologize to customers properly when clearly the mistake is on you. I can't speak on ambiance because I've never dined. I've late night ordered from this particular LH a few times and I'll tell you baby, the ribs have not disappointed. Not one time! These taste different from the other LH I patronize back home in Texas. You'd think that one would be better but surprisingly nope! Some of the ribs have a chargrilled crispy edges that are delicious. The meat is tender, they don't overdo it on the bbq sauce. I mean....full rack me every time and I get 3-4 good meals. Appetizers, the steakhouse wings are good and the Wild West shrimp is a good move. For the sides, the fire grilled corn on the cob is 5 star and baked potato is typically good. One time mine was a little burnt, which if I cook it, I don't mind cause I love burnt skin but restaurants, I don't trust to wash the potato like I would so I can't eat it and thus, wasted burnt potato. We had a gift card to Longhorn steakhouse. Yesterday was the day that we used it! I'm so glad that we did because now I know that I can get an affordable delicious steak right around the corner from my house. Food: first of all the people hating on out on Longhorn are doing just that, hating! Every food item we ordered was super good. And I'm not just saying that. The steak was perfectly seasoned cooked perfect to temperature, and the mac & cheese was better than some of these fancy pants, restaurants that I go to quite often. We even had to take a little doggy back home. The total meal was $39.99. Service: service was perfect. I mean our waiter was just wonderful. He was funny he was fast he was communicative he checked in on us. It was just absolutely great. His name was Timothy. He had glasses and a sharp haircut. Just a top-notch waiter and we tipped him well. Ambiance: this location was right next to Century Village, which if you do not know it's a 55 and up community. So mostly everybody was in there was 55 and up lol the ambience was great it was clean it was nice it was well lit, not too bright and they were busy! On a Thursday night I couldn't believe how packed that place was. It had a wait and when we were exiting the parking lot a woman pulled up and said, is there a wait I said yeah, it's quite a bit of a wait actually. And she said well what is today!? Lol as if today had to be something special for there to be a wait at Longhorn. But I was, very pleased with everything and I see why there was a wait because you can as I said in the beginning of my review get a delicious affordable steak right in your own neighborhood. Went to the Okeechobee location Saturday night. The waitress was very friendly and chatty but it took 40 minutes to get our food only after asking her why it was taking so long. While we waited, the tables next to us were rearranged 5 times because it was bad placement and everyone that was placed there eventually got up and left. After finally receiving our meals with no apologies, it was lacking and not worth the long wait. Upon leaving I went the ladies restroom and it was filthy with paper all over the floor. Obviously it is not attended to regularly. It was an entirely poor experience and we will not return to this location. They need better training in the hospitality industry! read more

We arrived today (Monday) to LongHorn at 2:15pm. After waiting at the host stand for about 5 minutes, a gentleman finally took our name. He communicated the wait would be 15/20 minutes. We waited. 15 minutes later, our table was ready. The same host sat us at our table with menus. We sat at our table for over 15 minutes with no not one employee to assist us whatsoever. Many tables were not cleaned off with eaten food all over them. My 1 hour lunch break was spent waiting over 30 minutes with no engagement from restaurant team. I ordered 7 pepper sirloin salad with french onion soup for curbside pickup. The food came out 10 minutes late, so it was aleady cold. The salad was ok because it's just lettuce, tomato, cheese and steak, but there was less steak than I was expecting. Maybe they gave me 3 bags of crutons and 3 cups of dressing when one of each would be more than enough for that tiny salad to make up for the lack of steak. The French onion soup was disgusting. I couldn't eat it. The bread was smashed into bread crumbs and mixed throughout the soup and the cheese sunk to the bottom of the bowl and hardened because the soup was cold by the time I got it. The inly thing was it took a while for them to come by and clean the dirty bar. The bar was left unattended for a while. After waiting a good 20-30 minutes for the food to come out, the food came out cold. Sent back the shrimp and rice and it came back with the rice lukewarm/ and the shrimp was no overcooked. My steak was lukewarm warm and undercooked. They did make up for the cold overcooked shrimp by taking it off the bill, but did nothing for my steak which I couldn't finish because it was too undercooked. The restroom was very dirty. Garbage all over the floor and smelly. If the restroom is dirty that is a sign that they don't really care and you can bet that the kitchen is probably dirty too Very disappointing. This has been one of my favorite lunch spots for a while. Today my mom, my aunt and I decided to grab lunch here while in the area. I ordered a strawberry lemonade and enjoyed some fresh bread while I browsed the lunch menu. I decided on the salmon, substituting the rice for broccoli and choosing loaded mashed potatoes as my second side. The salmon was perfectly cooked and juicy. The crust was crispy and flakey which I love. The broccoli was tasty and the loaded mashed potatoes were beyond filling. Once upon a time, LongHorn was the steakhouse we would most frequently visit. Our last 3 visits have made us wish we had chosen a different place to dine but still returned, thinking it was just the wrong time, night or just an off day. While on our way to the restaurant, I called to reserve a table or place my name on the wait list. It took forever to get someone on the line and once I did, was told that they did not take reservations or placed you in the wait list with a party of 7. I was confused because it says on their website to call the restaurant if you have a party of 7 or larger. At that point we were less than 5 minutes away and although confused by the information given, I dismissed it and walked in a few minutes later and checked in with the front desk. The wait was not too bad, about 20 minutes or so. On two of the three most recent visits, the host tried to sit a party of 9 in a curvy-lime booth that the table possibly fits 4 people at most but the seat curves giving more space to sit more guests, allowing each person to have a small corner of the table. The first time this happened, we had to request another table since there was no way we could all fit, which caused for more of a waiting time. That same table was suggested during this last visit with a party of 7 with a high chair. We said we didn't think we would fit but the host insisted we would. It was chaotic to say the least. There was no space for the plates and drinks or for our party to comfortably sit and enjoy our meal. The food was mediocre and aside from the excessive pepper usage on the stakes, the meat was flavorless. The cocktails were questionable. I had a mango margarita and the only thing I could taste was the alcohol, no flavor. We were highly disappointed and after giving them several tries, we don't see ourselves returning to this establishment. Worst service ever! Showed up at 8:30 PM on a Thursday night. They were busy, but not that much & did not close until 10 PM. They refused to even let us wait. We were told that we could not patiently wait for a table, despite the restaurant being open for 90 minutes and me being having to wait for over 15 minutes just to be turned away. I will NEVER ever be back again as long as I live! Longhorn steakhouse ruined my child's night. All I wanted to do was celebrate my baby for doing well on his concert and making a good grade on his test. I have been to Longhorn a few times and this location and the service is always good. Food is always fresh and delicious and yesterday was no difference except the fact that our waitress was AMAZING. I had to write a review for this lady and this lady alone. Kat is on point. Her personality, recommendations and the way she continued to check on us and give us everything we needed in a timely manner and they were super busy. I ordered the 7 Pepper Steak Salad WITHOUT the cheese and of course it came out loaded with cheese. I forgot to mention that almost everyone in the dining room was served before us. I asked for the manager- who apologetically stated that he could "redo the dish in a few seconds". I used to work in the food service industry so I know that there was no way it could be done in less than 15 minutes. I've eaten at this LongHorn a couple of times, and I think it's safe to say that the quality of the food here is pretty good.  That said, they do tend to apply some of their seasonings a bit too heavily - most especially the salt.  Given that, you'll probably want to make a point of asking your server to have the kitchen go light on the salt. To date, my favorite entrée at LongHorn is their Outlaw Ribeye (cooked medium-rare).  The Outlaw Ribeye is a 20-oz cut, bone-in, well-marbled, and fire-grilled with LongHorn's unique blend of flavorful seasoning.  For the price, it's one of the best steakhouse cuts you'll find anywhere :-) Last time I ate here, I met a friend for lunch and wasn't particularly hungry, so I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken.  The overall flavor profile would have been excellent, but they went WAY too heavy on the dressing and Parmesan cheese; this reduced the quality to AOK at best.  The lesson to be learned here is when ordering salad, specify that the dressing should be on the side. All things considered, the food here is good and the service is both consistent and efficient.  If you find yourself craving a good steak and don't want to pay Fleming's prices for it, LongHorn is an excellent choice :-) read more
