Ive never been to a restaurant that the manager would be willing to get wet to help someone else when they are in their dinner rush. Our waitress Veronica was amazing. She was so attentive and polite. She even got my little girl some fruit because she saw she wasn't eating the sweet potato. We took advantage of the $14.99 special and were very impressed. The meal included a choice of entrée--burger, grilled shrimp, or coconut shrimp--along with a choice of soup or salad. The options included loaded potato soup, French onion soup, wedge salad, or Caesar salad. Dessert was cheesecake with either chocolate or raspberry topping. Everything was delicious. My husband upgraded to the $17.99 option for a larger steak, and he was very pleased with it. Our waiter was wonderful, providing attentive and friendly service throughout the meal. We were out to use one of the many Holiday certificates we received before their expiration at the end of this month. This Outback is in the Costco plaza with plenty of accessible parking available. We received a pleasant welcome from behind the bar by Rich who gave us menus and took our drink orders right away. With Rich's help, we each decided on getting our own different side salads, upgraded and had the Grilled Salmon added. The grilled salmon was delicious and complemented my Caesar salad and my wife's Wedge salad. Wonderful service from Rich in this well maintained and friendly restaurant. This Outback is on Southern in front of Costco. It's easy to access and there's plenty of parking around the restaurant. I thought we'd been to this location before, but I was mistaken. We came as we still have a couple Christmas gift certificates to use up and we like their food. Normally we order from the lunch section of the menu, but we were both in the mood for a salad. We wound up getting their grilled salmon entree and splitting it. And for our two sides we each got a side salad of our choice -- for him a Caesar side salad and for me, I upgraded to the wedge side salad. The wedge was very good -- I had it without onions. The chunk of iceberg lettuce had a liberal amount of balsamic and blue cheese dressing along with halved cherry tomatoes and bacon bits. The salmon was perfectly grilled and split in half was about 4 ounces each. Just the right amount of protein along with a loaf of their brown bread. Rich gave us good service at the bar. From the moment we sat down at the bar Tammi came over and what a ball of energy. She was so much fun. She gave us some recommendations to order and we both love shrimp so we shared and got one of each and it was a meal deal with a salad and a piece of the most delicious cheesecake. Her and Anthony were so much fun to watch behind the bar interacting with the other employees and the guest it was just a great evening overall. Received very rare, lukewarm prime rib with no au jus; a half portion of drained mushrooms; broccoli (which I can't eat); a golf ball -sized, sweet potato without the requested topping, a limp wedge salad with the wrong dressing. delicious brown bread didn't include butter. Steak was not well done as requested and half of it had gristle running thru it. Potato was good. Very little dressing on the salad . No wonder it wasn't crowded. Yikes! Ok so I've never been to Outback and I never will again ‍ I know this is a chain so I didn't set my expectations very high at all. The table was dirty. My boyfriend's white shirt got some sort of chocolate stain when he sat down. I don't know my waiter's name, he never introduced himself. The drinks were tasty. I had a $7 cocktail and then the Margarita flights. The Bloomin Shrimp were very good. The Tasmanian chili is also good. My steak order was wrong...literally not the steak I ordered. My BF's steak was not cooked to his desired doneness. It was fatty and tough. He couldn't even finish it. It's like they're not even trying. We really felt like it was a complete waste of money. this isn't the typical happy review. I was having a particularly difficult night... a fight with the fiance and I was basically crying at the bar. bartender was dismissive and only checked in twice - not what I would have done but that was her style. I only noticed my food took almost 50 mins to go because of the txt messages and phone calls I was having. I leave 5 stars because the very kind and sweet manager lady litterally ran outside to hand me gift cards and apologize after she saw how litterally irritated and upset I was of the entire ordeal and drained and crying. she was so kind with ZERO judgemnet. I'm in the industry and I would have judged myself even after waiting an hour for food- I was a mess. this five star review is 100% in her honor. thank you for looking past my tears and irritability. We treated the dad's to dinner on their special day! We arrived shortly after 6pm, right before the early dinner crowds and we're seated right away. Everything went smoothly; drinks and appetizers orders were placed and food started to arrive soon after. Our waiter was good, not great but he did an ok job taking care of us as the places started to get busier. The food was not the best; steak was not flavorful and with more fat to then usual. I ordered an well done steak and got a medium rare, which unfortunately I will not eat. My husband ordered a medium well and got a well done. Even though we ordered different steak cuts, we traded and made it work. We ordered three alcoholic drinks and we're not satisfied either. They were either too watery orbiust didn't taste right. Spending time with familyb is what matters most, and we were happy we were able to do that. We will be celebrating our 60th anniversary on Valentine's Day so we tried Outback's Valentine dinner. We had the good fortune to meet our server Clay who was super in his demeanor and pleasant personality. We are rewards members and take advantage of specials but tonight was fantastic. The filet was perfectly cooked and sooo tender. And the cheesecake with raspberry topping so thick and tasty. We chose the bloomin onions, house salad, broccoli and mashed potatoes. We do not usually come to Outback, but it seems like once a year, we actually try to give it a shot. Our server was attentive, knew the menu, and was knowledgeable. The food quality was ok, but they could not get the steamed veggies right at all. We even sent them back and requested new veggies, but they still came out soggy. How soggy, you ask, soggy enough that if I had a toddler with no teeth, this would have been perfectly good and soft mushy food for them to eat. We were warned about the lobster mac before ordering it, but it left you asking where the actual lobster was. The BBQ was so thick on the chicken that it caused me to wipe a significant portion of it off. I can see that they are trying to reinvent themselves, but they still have a while to go. This goes for their quality as well as their price. It is hard to say I want Outback when I can go to nicer/finer dining establishments and get nicer pieces of meat and quality for less. I tried the new Aussie Sammy steak sandwich which has sliced steak, arugula, tomato, grilled onions, cheddar cheese and aoli on a baguette. Steak was very tender and flavorful, nice balance of the toppings didn't over power steak. Baguette was perfect level of softness but not soggy and held together everything well. The person who usually waited on us was not there. Later we found he quit. The person who di finally wait on us came over after yakking with other customers. Took our drink and meal orders and then we waited and waited for my drink (glass of wine). He was back yakking with the same customers again. The manager brought over the wine. And then we waited why our waiter was still yakking with the same customers. Finally, my wife blew up and asked for the manager. He came over and we told him we were leaving. He apologized while to me being arrogant that they were short on help. I said then there was no reason to BS with customers. We left without tasting great steaks. We won't be back. Nicholas the bartender/ server was there in a flash.. taking my drink order.. he was charming and attentive.. I asked for a variation of the new signature $7.00 cocktail Pina Koala .. on the rocks .. it was delicious! Ordered the Steamed Twin Lobster Tails with broccoli and rice.. haven't had lobster in ages and was craving it-- yes this was definitely a much needed splurge lunch! All the staff were wonderful.. a very inviting experience.. The restaurant was spotless and busy for a Tuesday.. Enjoying my fancy coconut rum cocktail ... watching sports and then like magic my lunch appeared.. wow.. what can I say the presentation was beautiful.. Rice piping hot, broccoli hot and sweet, perfectly cooked.. both delicious! The 2 lobster tails were steamed with perfection. Extra Clarified butter please! They were beyond delicious! Hubby and I stopped in for lunch on Saturday right after a Costco run - so we were hungry. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and led to our table. The server, David, came by and got our drink orders and we got the blooming onion. He brought us fresh bread and our onion came out quickly after. It was the most perfectly cooked blooming onion we've ever had! No residual batter in the middle, just lots of crispy goodness. Hubby ordered the ribs and fries and I got his second side, a sweet potato. Everything was really delicious and the service was top notch. The manager came by twice to check on us and David was on top of things already. All in all, a great experience and we'll be back to this location.
