We went here today, right at noon and we got the pulled pork and ribs and cornbread and coleslaw basically. The cornbread was unbelievable really really good even though for five dollars. It seem pretty expensive for what you got. The coleslaw was OK the good thing about it. It was not a lot of mayonnaise at all so it was very light. The ribs came out, kind of lukewarm and they were OK as well and they pulled pork was actually very fatty for some reason and even though it was decent, it just had a bizarre really heavy Mojo type flavor, which was fine but it definitely overpowered any smoke taste. It was $23 for lots of crinkle cut fries and 3 pieces of battered mahi and a little tub of Cole slaw. The fish was cooked properly but the coating doesn't stay on at all. The Cole slaw was tasteless and dry. We put the mustard BBQ sauce on it and the slaw was good that way. The fries were cooked properly too. I think they were supposed to have seasoning on them. I think that because a couple did have seasoning. Dinner came with a small tub of tartar sauce. Additional tartar is 50c. The one cool thing there was the BBQ sauce bar. There's several kinds to choose from and they don't cost extra like the tartar sauce. You can use all the ketchup and BBQ sauce you want. We tried them all. I especially enjoyed the white BBQ sauce. Had never seen this before. Tasted like maybe horseradish and white pepper in a creamy white sauce. It was good on the fish and fries too. That's saying a lot because I consider ketchup to be its own food group. My friend liked the coffee BBQ sauce. The hush puppies were just okay, nothing special and they were more like fried cake than fried cornbread. Here's what we didn't like- the texture of the shrimp burger was hard and it had no flavor of shrimp, the bun was wet and the only flavor came from the bbq sauce. The brisket was dry. I had their burgers with Mac and Cheese. The burgers tasted great. However, they are full of fat. The buns were soggy because they wrap them in silver tinfoil like paper and the heat causes it to become soggy. If you are getting take out, I would recommend you asking them to put the buns on the side. You will be extremely disappointed if you bring this burger home and find out that the bread is as if you dipped in in a glass of water. Most restaurants have better packaging to keep this from happening. The mac and cheese is once again full of fat. This place reminds me a lot like Heart Attack Grill in Las Vegas. It was full of fat and grease. When you take your burger out of the bag, be prepared to have your hand soaked with grease from the burger. Have a napkin ready. The taste of the burger patties themselves were good. However, they need to really work on their packaging for the burger. The mac and cheese was packaged correctly. They had it in a Tupperware. I prefer more gourmet burgers that are more health conscience with no soggy bread. I can tell you that nothing was gourmet about this meal and I am still hungry. Small portion for the steep price. I am shocked to find out that even though customers complain here about the soggy bread, they do nothing about it. I love chicken and brisket with kale. However, my last visit came with a bit of an embarrassing hiccup. On Saturday, my boyfriend and I picked up a key lime pie there to bring to his father's birthday party in Miami. The manager kindly offered to put the pie in a cooler with ice so it would stay safe during the drive. Unfortunately, when we arrived and I opened the cooler in front of his family--my first time meeting them!--the key lime pie wasn't inside. It turned out the pie was never put in a cooler by the manager lady. It was a bit of a mortifying moment, as the mix-up became a topic of conversation at the dinner. While I understand that mistakes happen, it did lead to some awkwardness for me personally.
