We were celebrating my father-in-law's birthday, and since he appreciates a good steakhouse, this seemed like the perfect choice. It's been a while since my last visit, but the food quality remains solid. We started with French onion soup, escargot, and the Gorgonzola salad. One nice touch is that they bring a tray of steaks to your table and explain the different cuts, flavor profiles, fat content, and recommended temperatures. It's a great experience, especially for anyone who enjoys learning more about their steak before ordering. At our table, we ordered the ribeye, porterhouse, and filet mignon. The ribeye was the clear winner when it came to flavor, offering a richer, more robust taste than the other cuts. Service was good, though not quite exceptional. What sets this restaurant apart is its character. This isn't your typical chain steakhouse--it's one of the oldest steakhouses in Florida, and you can feel that old-school charm the moment you walk through the doors. A special thank you to manager Addison, who was very hospitable and helped resolve a gift card issue quickly and without any hassle. His assistance made the evening much more enjoyable. Dinner for four came to over $400, so it's definitely a place for a special occasion rather than an everyday meal. That said, the quality, atmosphere, and history make it a memorable dining experience, and we'll be back for another celebration.

Didn't think I was a steak girl until now. This place is expensive but worth it. I've never seen a place where you pick a steak and then get to choose some accompaniments. I got the delmonico and the bone narrow butter and YUM. I also tried my sister's with the chimichurri which also was a winner. The desserts also were a 10/10- save room for sure

My friend and I had a wonderful meal here. The Okeechobee Steak House has been open since 1947, and it is very apparent why they have stayed open so long. The bread appetizer was warm, fresh and had a perfect amount of crunch. Our server brought out a tray of the different cuts of steaks and gave a great explanation of what each kind was and the different types of marbling, which was a nice touch. I chose the Del Monaco with mashed potatoes and we also ordered a side of the broccoli and it was to die for. Honestly, one of the better steaks I've had in a very long time perfectly prepared and the flavor was exactly what I had hoped for. 10 out of 10 recommend this place.

They have valet parking, but plenty of self parking too. Serious steak house ambiance.. dark, lots of wood, very masculine looking restaurant. Service was totally on point. Our waiter was friendly and made sure we always had everything we needed, but was never annoying. I loved how he came over with a huge platter of every type of steak (raw) to show us what they looked like and explain the differences. Everything was delicious. Really exceptional. Started with crab cake, done perfectly. Filled with real crab, not overly fried, really good. Creamed spinach, carrots, mashed potatoes, all so great. Not just good, really delicious. Have to mention the bread too. A basket of rolls with butter. Omg yum. But of course the star of the show was the steak, and wow was that fantastic. Really truly exceptional. Cooked perfectly, with a light crust, perfectly seasoned. Honestly amazing. We had some mushrooms and onions on the side, both really good. Our desserts were also very good. I'd say they were probably the least interesting part of the meal, nothing blew us away, but they were all still pretty solid. We had a carrot cake, a key lime pie, a regular.cheesecake, and a pistachio crème brule. Crème brule I'd say was the best, IMO. Huge portions also. Overall I'd say this is really the best of the steakhouses. I've tried quite a few (a LOT) and Okeechobee is really just hands down superior. Every single thing was super high quality and absolutely delicious. I can't wait to come back!

Okeechobee Steakhouse is truly an oldie but goodie -- a classic Florida gem that never disappoints. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the history and charm that makes this place so special. It's the kind of steakhouse that has stood the test of time for a reason. The food is outstanding. The steaks are cooked to perfection, full of flavor, and clearly prepared with care and experience. The sides and appetizers are just as delicious, making the entire meal feel like a true dining experience. The service is top-notch -- professional, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing. You really feel taken care of here. If you're looking for a steakhouse with tradition, quality, and an unforgettable meal, Okeechobee Steakhouse is the definition of a classic done right. Highly recommend to make reservations since it's busy even non-season.

If this spot could be given 10 stars, I would!! I was completely blown away by Okeechobee steakhouse. I was shocked at how packed the restaurant was on a Monday evening. I made a reservation, but it was super crowded & loud. We got the lychee and the bee drink to start. Both were fresh and delicious. Lychee was very sweet tasting. Our server was extremely accomodating and kind. I didn't catch his name, but he was really great. My friend and I shared the items we ordered. For appetizers, we ordered the thick cut bacon and the wedge salad. The bacon was freaking AMAZING!!!! It had sambal glaze, blue cheese and scallions. You have to order this as a starter. The wedge was one of the freshest wedges I've ever tasted. It consisted of iceberg lettuce, bleu cheese, red onion, bacon and tomato. Fresher than fresh. For our main course, it was recommended by our waiter to order the Delmonico as my friend and I were looking for a tender, "melt in your mouth" type of cut. As a side, we ordered the roasted Brussels sprouts. Holy moly the steak was PHENOMENAL!!! Truly melted in my mouth and we ordered it cooked medium. Truly cooked to perfection. The Brussels were also fantastic. They had artisan bleu cheese, candied bacon, and chili vinaigrette. We passed on desert as we were too full. If you're in the area, you should absolutely try this spot!!! 10/10!!!!!

My work team treated me to a gift card last year for my 20 year work anniversary. I finally used it last month and invited my little brother as my plus one. We started with the crab stuffed mushrooms and enjoyed a copious amount of the delicious rolls with branded butter. We also split a Caesar salad. For the entrée, we shared the Porterhouse for two paired with mashed potatoes and steak fries. The steak was ordered rare and we opted for Pittsburgh-style. Literally, they served it cooked to perfection and the presentation was beautiful. We were beyond stuffed after this meal and didn't have room for dessert. Honestly, ever since they axed the peanut butter pie, I don't really care to order dessert. However, I did learn it is available for purchase at the market when I shared this insight with our server. He was phenomenal and our meal was served rather quickly considering it was a full house. Per usual, I'm never disappointed with the food nor service. Finally, I brought home a small amount of leftovers along with the bone. Oh my word! I made an incredible beef soup with the bone and it did not go to waste. It provided an outstanding flavor and I'm happy I didn't leave it behind. Okeechobee Steakhouse is still my favorite steakhouse in Palm Beach County!

We really enjoyed our meal here. To start, we used valet because parking yourself is almost impossible so just plan for that. The valet was so nice and welcoming. Our waitress was also amazing. It was our first time in, and for a birthday, so she took the time to explain everything. She brought out a tray to show us what the steak options looked like (and later same with dessert). We started with salads. Both the wedge and Caesar were amazing and easily big enough to share if you wanted too. We both got filets. They were cooked perfectly. We chose the mashed potatoes and creamed corn as sides and both were perfectly prepared. For dessert we shared a piece of house made Red Velvet cake and it was delicious. Our reservation was for 8:30 and it was still rather noisy when we first got there but as the crowd cleared it got quieter, which we prefer, so if you are looking for a quiet date night dinner book a later reservation. Absolutely five star experience!

If you're in the mood for a classic steakhouse experience--with thick cuts of steak cooked to your liking, an excellent wine and whiskey menu, and staff that treat you like a guest not just a seat, Okeechobee Steakhouse is a strong choice. A few caveats: parking can be awkward (though valet is available), the ambience is more formal than trendy, and you'll want to budget accordingly because quality comes at a price. But for a memorable dinner? Absolutely recommended. My last visit was for a birthday in our group and the nice touch of a special table along with a happy birthday card. Not to forget the birthday Palm Beach sirloin! Elijah Craig 18 year pour to complement the medium rare steak prepared Pittsburg style...perfect

Okeechobee steakhouse was outstanding!!! When say I outstanding...from beginning to end, the meal was wonderful!! Service was excellent (our waiter was Corey G.) steaks were done to perfection!! There was absolutely nothing we had to ask for! Okeechobee steakhouse is a well oiled machine, and that's why they've been in business for as long as they have. This is the first time that we have been there and it certainly won't be our last!! I can't tell you how many steakhouses we have been to that the chef's have no idea how to cook a steak properly not at Okeechobee steakhouse!! When you're looking for a restaurant that has great service, great food, wonderful ambience look no further! Be sure to make a reservation the place was jammed!! and I can see why... thank you for a wonderful evening. Thank you to the hostesses, wait staff, busboys, and chefs!! P.s. don't forget dessert!! Delish!!!

Okeechobee Steakhouse came highly recommended by our hotel concierge. We ordered stuffed mushrooms, French onion soup, a wedge salad, and a 20oz KC strip with hot honey carrots and mashed potatoes. Two Lagunitas and a smoked jalapeño margarita. $185 total. The server was outstanding -- genuinely one of the best we've had. But the food? Bland. The steak was cooked fine but had no real depth of flavor. For $185 I shouldn't be thinking "I could get this at a chain." Unfortunately that's exactly where my head went. SAS Verdict: Not Approved. Great service, forgettable food.

We've been coming to Okeechobee Steak House for some time now and it's safe to say when we want an exceptional steak this is the first place that comes to mind. Everything here is top of the line, you can truly taste how fresh everything is! I love the creative and elegant touch they bring to their dishes! We usually go for the porterhouse steak which comes out with an array of sauces and a roasted garlic that is so good! The bone marrow butter and house steak sauce are my favorite!! The service is always great; all the servers are professional and very knowledgeable about the menu! Can't forget about dessert, please leave room for their coconut cream pie!!

The pre-mix menu made ordering super easy, as we started with a shrimp cocktail and, for the main, a lobster linguini. The menu also included a delicious dessert (raspberry sorbet) for $68. I've been here on a multitude of occasions…read more I'm not sure exactly how long they've been open but when I first became aware of the place, which was about a year ago, someone took me for my birthday and I had a great time. The service was excellent, and the food was actually quite good. But it's really the atmosphere that's just so interesting. From an aesthetic standpoint, it's really a very pleasing environment. Sadly, all subsequent visits since the first have gone downhill. So perhaps I just got more than lucky on that first occasion. The sushi in particular has been "fishy". So I stopped ordering it, but on the last try, they actually argued with me before taking it back. No apology mind you. While they were fighting with me, I asked, "why don't you taste it?". Which resulted in a lecture series on how the chef is the owner and how he prepares everything himself. So I logically asked to speak to him because you could smell it from at least a few inches away and it wasn't fresh or at least wasn't good. And of course they let me know that he's not working. So what was that exercise about exactly lol? On my last and final visit, I got stuck in some crazy Florida storm prior to walking in the door. The streets were literally getting flooded. Anyone on the road at that moment knows what I'm talking about. The restaurant had just opened and there was not a person inside nor do I think anyone would enter the restaurant because to get to it, they would have had to walk through the parking lot and by the time they made it to the door, they would be soaking wet (as I was). Meanwhile, I did not want to drive in that flood and so just decided to order food / drinks and wait it out. So without a single person in a restaurant, other than staff, and with sympathetic glances from the hostess and the bartender that I had survived the storm to get into the restaurant relatively dry-ish, and just grateful to be anywhere and not outside, the manager decided to come over and throw me out because I had a graphic on my T-shirt. Ironically, it was my own design, having worked in fashion for years. Of course, he could've made an exception since there was a massive storm outside, and no customers inside, but no, he made me go back out into the rain and now by the time I hit my car, I was completely soaking wet drenched, which also drenched my car. So let me just say a giant FU to that Manager whoever the hell you are dude yeah and you won't be getting my business ever again. I predict this place goes the way of the dodo and not the flamingo. It will take time, but it will happen.

I'm not here to diminish anyone else's experience, but rather to share my own honestly and constructively. Situations like this should serve as a learning opportunity for upper-level management, especially when the level of service and leadership falls below even basic expectations. We ordered a filet mignon that lacked the tenderness I would expect from a restaurant claiming this caliber of dining. We also ordered the salmon, which unfortunately had that unmistakable metallic, pungent flavor that immediately signals the fish is not fresh and should not be consumed further. We brought the issue to the attention of the manager, who acknowledged it initially but never returned to follow up. To their credit, the salmon was removed from the bill and an alternative dish was offered. However, the overall experience still fell far short of what should be expected at this price point and reputation level. What disappointed me most was not simply the food itself, but the complete lack of genuine hospitality and ownership from management. Strong restaurants understand that service recovery matters just as much as the meal. There's a reason establishments like The Capital Grille or Flagler Steakhouse have earned reputations for professionalism and customer care. Sometimes I genuinely think managers at places like this should spend time training in environments where hospitality is treated as an art form rather than an inconvenience. The following day, I was still disappointed enough to write this review. At a certain point, guests should not have to spend over $200 while simultaneously educating a restaurant on how to deliver proper service and quality control. With an abundance of superior restaurants nearby, this is not a place I would return to, even if offered a complimentary meal. Don't chance it.

I ordered the NY strip, which was perfect, my wife ordered a simple burger...uh oh..... It came out pretty rare, almost raw. She ordered medium, which is pretty standard for restaurant burgers. She couldn't eat this, so we called the waitress, who was a doll, very apologetic but generally warm and professional. Well the burger came back disguised as a hockey puck. Again the waitress came right over and again apologized, my wife was fed up and didn't want another burger and really didn't want anything at this point. Although we didn't ask for a manager, she showed up with out being asked for. She immediately apologized and pleaded with my wife to order something, so my wife ordered a salad, which probtly came. Next, 2 desserts and coffee. Finally the manager comes over, hands my wife her business card an tells us, please give us another try and have dinner on me! Lastly, I ask for the check and was told, it was all comped! Not expected as my meal was great and I also had two cocktails. None the less, I tipped approximately based on the cost of our meals. Last week we stopped in as we were driving home from Port St Lucie and found to spots at the bar. My wife ordered a filet mignon, which she declared was one of the best she's had, I had the double cut pork chop. Both meals came out together, hot and nicely plated. We only asked for the manager our meal and only to thank her. We also complimented her staff and raved about the meal. Again, my drinks were comped which I don't know why but, hey someone buys you a drink, don't complain. Anyway a generous tip and two happy campers. I decided to give this place a second chance on April 18, 2026, with an 8:30 PM reservation, and unfortunately, it was just as bad--if not worse--than my first visit. The service was exceptionally poor. Our waiter, Michael, set the tone early, and not in a good way. It took over an hour just to receive our appetizers, and drink refills required tracking down other staff members. What stood out most was the complete lack of attentiveness--Michael never once checked in on our table throughout the evening. The delay was so excessive that I was able to leave the restaurant, walk across the street, purchase a new set of clothes for my daughter, return, and have her change--all before our main course even arrived. To be clear, this wasn't out of convenience--it was out of necessity. The restaurant was so excessively hot that she was visibly uncomfortable and overheating. To make matters worse, water was served at room temperature in what felt like a furnace of a dining room. We actually had to ask multiple times--and essentially beg--just to get ice brought to the table. That alone speaks volumes about the level of awareness and care. Dining out is supposed to be a relaxing, enjoyable experience--especially after an evening out--but this was anything but. The food itself was underwhelming at best: mediocre, forgettable, and certainly not worth the wait. What was most disappointing, however, was the apparent inconsistency in service. From my observation, certain tables--specifically white families--received noticeably more attention and care, while others, including Hispanic, Asian, and African-American patrons, were largely overlooked. As part of an interracial family, this was both disheartening and unacceptable to witness. I've had great experiences at other locations of this restaurant, which makes this visit even more frustrating. This location, however, falls far below standard. To the management and staff: you're in a high-traffic area where guests come to unwind and enjoy their time. This experience did the exact opposite. One star--and that's only because it was possible to secure a reservation. Now I understand why availability wasn't an issue. TL;DR: Excessive heat, inattentive service, long wait times, mediocre food, and a deeply disappointing overall experience. I will not be returning.

The young women at the front desk are elegantly, dressed in the same color scheme, however, they are extremely standoffish and unpleasant. This is a classic problem in southern Florida. Usually, this is standard service in Miami, but the tendency is not for this kind of service in the West Palm Beach area, specially on Palm Beach Island. We were seated, and our waitress was very pleasant in explaining the menu and offering to get us drinks. We ordered a series of appetizers and several steaks with sides to split amongst four people. We had already investigated the wine list and knew the two wines that we were going to order. Neither of them cheap options, but at least they were on the menu. An extraordinary Pinot Noir and an American Granache blend. As the appetizers came out, we doubled up on one of them and asked for another order. They said that they would bring it right away. This in fact did not happen as the appetizer arrived at the same time as the main course meats. The problem here was that as we went through the appetizer, our meat on the table already pre-cut was getting cold. In addition to this, the steak sauces that were ordered and the vegetables that were also ordered to accompany the meats, did not come at the same time. As a matter of fact, the side vegetable never came. We were in a little bit of a hurry at the end of the meal because we had a train to catch. They were very efficient and offering us a assortment of desserts to make up for the lack of bringing the vegetables. The issue here is, if you are on a protein, vegetable diet, compensating you with a plate full of sweets is not appropriate. If you're like me, I came to this restaurant to eat meat, not to be filled up at the end of the meal with ice cream and cake cakes. I understand that this is a courtesy to show concern on the part of the restaurant management , however, it's disappointing. All of this being said, we must say that the quality of the meat was extraordinary. It's a shame it got cold, and the desired side dishes did not work out. In summary, I would still recommend this restaurant. There are small details that you have to be aware of so you can be on top of the service staff to make sure it doesn't happen to you. Be clear to them at the beginning that you don't want your meal to come out in stages. Bring us our appetizers all at the same time. If you cannot bring them out at the same time, do not bring them with the main courses. Make sure you are clear with them about what you want as your main courses. Take the plunge, try it. On your terms.

Came here for dinner last weekend. The Flagler steakhouse really impressed me from start to finish!…read more First off, the valet parking was complimentary which I thought was a nice touch. They accepted tips via Zelle. The area downstairs was so beautifully decorated for Christmas with a large tree upon entry. Once we got to the entry point for the steakhouse after getting out of the elevator, there were wreaths, nutcrackers, lights and gorgeous holiday decor! It was extremely festive, warm and inviting. I sat indoors and ordered a few items for dinner. I ordered the Paloma beverage, the wedge salad, the burrata, the mushroom cream steak and macaroni and cheese as a side. Warm bread with butter was brought to the table prior to us placing our order. All items came in a timely fashion. Madison was our server and was EXCELLENT! She was informative, kind and always had a smile on. The steak was cooked medium and tasted incredible. It melted in my mouth! The wedge salad was so fresh. The Mac and cheese was also phenomenal. The burrata was also fantastic. I was shocked at the bill too! I live in Miami so I'm used to overpriced restaurants. It was extremely affordable for the amount of food that was ordered. 10/10! A must if you're in the palm beach area.

Buccan absolutely lived up to the hype. While in Palm Beach…read morefor a work meeting, my wife and I made it a point to dine at Buccan after seeing it consistently recommended on Yelp and by locals. After one meal here, it was easy to understand why it's considered one of the most sought-after restaurants in the area. The atmosphere is energetic and vibrant without feeling overly loud, and the service was polished, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the evening. The menu encourages sharing, which allowed us to sample a variety of dishes. We started with the lobster aquachile, which was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. The lobster was tender, and the bright citrus flavors paired perfectly with the avocado and vegetables. It was a refreshing and memorable way to begin the meal. Next came the beef empanada and pork taco. The empanada was rich and flavorful with perfectly cooked beef and a crisp exterior, while the pork taco packed an impressive amount of flavor into a single bite. Both were excellent examples of why Buccan has developed such a strong reputation for its small plates. One of the highlights of the evening was the squid ink orecchiette. The pasta was perfectly cooked and coated in a rich, savory sauce that brought everything together. It was one of those dishes that makes you immediately start planning your next visit. For a larger plate, I ordered the prime beef burger, which was outstanding. The beef was juicy and flavorful, the toppings were balanced, and the fries were perfectly crisp. It may seem unusual to order a burger at one of Palm Beach's most acclaimed restaurants, but this one absolutely deserves the attention it receives. What impressed me most about Buccan was the consistency across every dish. Nothing felt like an afterthought. From the creative seafood dishes to the comfort-food favorites, every plate was executed with care and attention to detail. Palm Beach has no shortage of excellent dining options, but Buccan stands out as a restaurant that successfully combines creativity, quality ingredients, and flawless execution. If you're visiting the area, this is a reservation worth making well in advance. Recommended: Lobster Aquachile, Beef Empanada, Pork Taco, Squid Ink Orecchiette, Prime Beef Burger, and don't skip the fries. One of the best meals we had during our trip.

I've visited every Chef Conley venue, including Stoke Barn. As of this writing,we are not…read moreconsidered stalkers, just normal people who love exceptional dining and service. I talk about the "curb-to-table" experience frequently. In my former role as a Delta Air Line Captain, I recognized the curb-to-plane challenges our customers encountered. Chef Conley has created a friendly and welcoming experience from curb-to-table. It starts with the complimentary valet. Finally. Finally. I learned about our regular valet: MANNY! Manny, thank you for the kindness and safe service you have given us. You are usually the first person who takes care of the Buccan Family. You create the smile before we walk in the doors of Buccan or Imoto. Thank you. Solang' (my spelling is probably wrong and I apologize): You are such a beautiful soul. Thank you for your kind words to Laura as we left. Kindness makes a difference. While kindness is free, sincerity is priceless. Wow, I haven't even chatted about the food. We tried something new this time. After our small plates, we tried the pork chop. The mild onion and sweet rhubarb---simply stunning. Even shared, we boxed some for home. I don't care if you are watching what you eat. Close your eyes! The chocolate cookies (warmed) are a must. Period. Selfishly, I hope Chef Clay never gets a tv show. A book deal is allowed. We want this local treasure and his team to remain anchored here. Clay and his team are own foodie treasure in our back yard. But wait, there's more: Honored to watch Chef Clay modestly expand the Miami environs. He will be opening his Buccan-Imoto-Buccan Sandwich Shop experience in Coral Gables sometime in June/July. OMG, we cannot wait for this to open. Though retired from the airlines (I miss my MIA overnights), we will make the trip to celebrate these new venues. However, we will do it very quietly. We do not wish to be labeled as stalkers. Probably one of my longest reviews. I love seeing hard working people succeed. What this team does for the community is simply breathtaking. This is a true success story. Thank you Buccan-Imoto-Grato-Sandwich Shop-Stokes Barn Team!!!!
