    Shrimp and ribeye combo
    Emily J.

Date night again at Longhorn and a MUCH better experience. When we arrived, we were told it would be a 45 minute wait, so we got on the wait list and wandered over to Michaels and World Market while we waited. We headed back over around the 45 minute mark to find the estimate perfectly on time! Our waitress, Bailey, made our whole night so excellent- she was friendly, helpful, very observant, and super sweet. We enjoyed the white cheddar mushrooms again- they are seriously delicious! My boyfriend had the parmesean crusted chicken and ribs combo which he loved (and had leftovers which never happens!). I enjoyed the shrimp and ribeye combo with two sides. I had the crispy brussel sprouts again- they are so tasty! I also ordered the strawberry pecan salad. This does not come out as a side salad- it is a full sized salad!! Everything tasted great, and we were so full that we had no room to try the incredible looking chocolate cake the table across from us had.

Just delicious food and drink! Come get some!

Back again I was hungry! Needed a snack and decided this was the place to get it! I love spinach so why not! The bartender was amazing as always when stopping in. I've never been here and not felt welcomed. It has the feeling of locals and those traveling through on vacation . Inside is very warm , dark but not so you can't see it's nice. I went with the Parmesan spinach dip this time and I was completely blown away by the taste and freshness. My cocktail of choice was an old fashioned! Perfection!

The restaurant look and cleanliness was amazing on such a rainy day! If you can, ask for server, Candace. She was on point as busy as it was and she has the BESTEST PERSONALITY!! Effortlessly efficient, considerate and funny Girl made the night WORTH GOING OUT ON A RAINY DAY.....STORMY DAY!! The food was made to perfection from the fried pickles to the entrees and lastly the 7 layer chocolately cake of heaven!! For the girls: Make yo' man take you here for the picture perfect date night

Came on a Tuesday night and there was no wait. The atmosphere is nice but not overly fancy. Our server was friendly and attentive. We started with the fried onion appetizer--it was just okay. We all had salads enjoyed them. For my entree I had filet and lobster. The filet was great! Perfectly seasoned and cooked perfectly. The lobster was slightly under done so it was a tiny bit chewy. Overall, a good weeknight dining option with affordable prices. Our bill for 3 was only $100 and we all had filets.

Thick film of bacteria in my coke since the drink machine had not been cleaned
    Johnnabryanté R.

Drink machine needs to be cleaned! So if you or anyone you know works in the food service industry, you know that most food places don't clean their drink machines as much as they should. Studies have found that toilet bowl water is cleaner than ice machines at food places! So I never get ice in my drinks anywhere I go. Especially restaurants, since I know they don't clean them. Usually I get my drink and it's fine. But today it was so disgusting. I have never seen a place with more dirty drinks than this. There was a thick film in my drink. I spoke to the waitress and we agreed that there was nothing that could be done and that all the drinks from the soda fountain would be dirty like that. Genuinely do not know how it's legal to knowingly serve drinks that have bacteria in them lol. .

Surprisingly good for the price. The street corn is amazing. Service by Melissa was on par with Perry's and Capital Grille in Raleigh.

Great counter service BBQ in the heart of Wilmington. My hubs got the brisket sandwich with side of Mac and cheese and side of green beans. I had the chopped brisket the comes with the sauce mixed in with a side of baked beans. Sides do have meat mixed in as well. But the portions were sizable and very good. No option for cornbread or a little pile of pickles with the sandwiches, but if you get a platter, it does come with cornbread. The place is covered with military and firefighter patches, photos, and downtown Manhattan pictures of the former World Trade Center. As a former NY'er, we appreciate the dedication to the first responders and military service people. It is why this restaurant got started. They donate to charities for veterans and first responders. We are grateful. Overall, good experience. When we arrived the restaurant was quiet, but once our food was ready, and we chose our seats, the line reached the door. It was very busy. We also took more time ordering so it was good we were there early before dinner rush on Tuesday. I will definitely return here. Very casual, good food, lots of sauces to try and they have a mission to help the military. 5 stars

The food quality always impresses us, and the prices are some of the most reasonable in town--honestly, next to Costco's hot dog meal, Mission BBQ is the cheapest place to enjoy a lunch meal. As you can see from the attached photos my favorite meal is the 2- Sampler, Pulled Pork and Brisket with sides of Baked Beans and Coleslaw. These are the best baked beans that I have found in Wilmington and the coleslaw ranks high on my list. Depending on the cooking staff on duty that day there may be a slight variation in the coleslaw. My wife's favorite meal is their Pulled Pork Sandwich, and I will give her my cornbread which she thoroughly enjoys. What earns this restaurant 5 stars is their consistency of delivering great food over the years and I feel confident in recommending to Visitors and natives alike.

This is located very centrally in downtown Wilmington and offers parking validation so don't be discouraged about the parking situation. There's a lot on the side you're free to use. We were seated right away on a weeknight and it was actually pretty full for being a weeknight. They have a good amount of space though. Millie was our server and she was a sweetheart. She was on it from start to finish. Checked in on us very regularly and provided above and beyond service. She contributed to our excellent experience. Fried chicken had to be ordered as it sounded so good and it definitely didn't disappoint. It comes with two sides and all of the sides were fresh. Portions were super hearty and generous. Chicken was fried to a crisp, in a good way!! The chicken sandwich was also great, but the fries are also very memorable, incredibly fresh. We were so surprised by how hot the food was in temperature, again in a good way. Everything was made to order. I loved that we were able to try this place out. I definitely recommend it and we will be thinking of the fried chicken for a long time!

I was not in love but I think there are some caveats there because I am not the typical customer. First, we appear to have come right at the height of their dinner rush. It took a while to get seated. The hosts told us to sit at the bar and then the bartender kicked us out of our stools because we were waiting for a table and apparently the bar stools were only for people who were eating, so we had to go find a bench. When we did get seated they put us at a really weird high top in a separate room when there was a much nicer low top available in the main room that we switched to. I got the sense both that this place was kind of hectic and that they didn't think they needed our service. But then as we were eating it cleared out all of a sudden and we were the only people left at like...8 pm. Our server was...accetptable. Not rude, but kind of short. Compared to the lovely personable service we got at other places in Wilmington it felt...I dunno, New Yorky? Then there was the food. And here comes my biggest caveat. I am pescstarian and do not eat chicken. So I ordered a shrimp po boy. It was not good. Not bad. But not good. Especially for the price which, honestly, competed with the prices where I live in DC. Every other person around me ordered chicken. My husband ordered chicken. He really liked his chicken. So obviously, this is a place where you get chicken (if the name didn't make it obvious). Had I ordered chicken I likely would have enjoyed my meal a lot more. But if you have shrimp po boys on the menu, endeavor to make them decent or take them off. Also I subbed a side cesar instead of fries and it was an afterthought. The fries themselves were excellent. If I ate chicken and came back to Wilmington I would maybe give this place another shot but as it stands, nah.
