It's been a long time since we've enjoyed steak and I remember how tasty the food was the last time I was at Longhorn, which was a couple years ago. Although pricey, I knew I would enjoy it so I ordered the 9 oz. Filet. I also ordered brussels sprouts and a side salad. The service was fine and the wait time was not long at all. My problem was everything on my plate was so overly seasoned. The steak was so spicy I couldn't finish it. I tried cutting the top and the bottom off the steak, but it was too hot. I asked our server if I misread something on the menu and why the steak was so spicy. It didn't really have anything on the menu about the heat however, she said that the way the meat comes in, it's in some type of seasoning and marinade that the meat is already sitting in. The meat was very tender however I couldn't taste it for all the spices that were on it. My head was on fire. I absolutely love brussels sprouts and loved them the last time I had them there. So I ordered it again, and I was sadly disappointed. The brussels sprouts were overly seasoned and too salty,so much so that I could not finish them. I am not one to send back food so I did the best I could with it, but for the money, I don't think I would go back again. When we arrived, we were told it would be a 45 minute wait, so we got on the wait list and wandered over to Michaels and World Market while we waited. We headed back over around the 45 minute mark to find the estimate perfectly on time! Our waitress, Bailey, made our whole night so excellent- she was friendly, helpful, very observant, and super sweet. We enjoyed the white cheddar mushrooms again- they are seriously delicious! My boyfriend had the parmesean crusted chicken and ribs combo which he loved (and had leftovers which never happens!). I enjoyed the shrimp and ribeye combo with two sides. I had the crispy brussel sprouts again- they are so tasty! I also ordered the strawberry pecan salad. This does not come out as a side salad- it is a full sized salad!! Drink machine needs to be cleaned! So if you or anyone you know works in the food service industry, you know that most food places don't clean their drink machines as much as they should. Studies have found that toilet bowl water is cleaner than ice machines at food places! So I never get ice in my drinks anywhere I go. Especially restaurants, since I know they don't clean them. Usually I get my drink and it's fine. But today it was so disgusting. I have never seen a place with more dirty drinks than this. There was a thick film in my drink. I spoke to the waitress and we agreed that there was nothing that could be done and that all the drinks from the soda fountain would be dirty like that. Genuinely do not know how it's legal to knowingly serve drinks that have bacteria in them lol. . read more

My boyfriend and I had a gift card so we decided to give longhorn a try! Let me tell you this review was tough! I know with covid things are a little crazy and there's limited capacity in the restaurant. However, the wait wasn't bad. We got there at about 6:30 and it was only a 35 min wait (they text you when your table it ready). Once we were seated our waitress came right over and got our drinks. We started out with an onion petal type appetizer... it was okay. The starter was nothing to write home about and the bread was decent but I've never really met a bread I didn't like. My boyfriend and I both ordered a steak, mine was a ribeye and his a porterhouse/ filet AKA a lot of meat! The steaks were perfect! The ribeye melted in my mouth like butter! My boyfriend had so much meat on his place he couldn't stop eating but also couldn't finish it at the same time and let me tell you, that NEVER happens. My kids cheeseburgers on the other hand were so over cooked and dry that they took one bite and didn't touch it again. I didn't realize how bad there were until we got home and my boyfriend took a bite of one out of the to go box. He made me try it. My poor kids didn't express this because as toddlers they really only know good food from bad food. I could have used the hamburger patty as a hockey puck. My kids of course started letting me know how hungry we were after only eating the bread provided by the restaurant as soon as we got in the car (which should have been a sign). 4/5/2024 i believe will be my last time going to Longhorn for a while! Been calling the store since Tuesday yes Tuesday to let them know a large party was coming in on Friday. Every time i called i would be placed on hold so they could get the manager, manager never came to the phone. Finally Friday(the day that the large party was coming in) and i called i was able to talk to a manager to inform them about the large party that's gonna be in, i made sure to let it be known because i know they do not offer reservations which you guys need to look into honestly. Was told it was a 30 minute wait for our party, 5:45 came and i went to ask the waiter how much longer and she said another 30 mins. At this point we are getting frustrated because we keep seeing parties that's large as well being sat down. Asked for the manager the manager came and instantly started moving things around and sitting us down(shout out to you Sarah). Needless to say ALL of our servers sucked ASS. The last table to sit down got the food before first table that sat down. I asked the server what the problem was and why they were still waiting on their food and we ALL were done eating ours, she looked at me and said "i don't know" in the nastiest tone so you know i had to double the nastiness. It wouldn't be a problem if we didn't have this problem every single time we come. We were celebrating my grandfathers birthday and it wasn't a celebration at this point we all were ticked off. Forgot to mention that my grandfathers was the first table to get sat down because we were celebrating him. Not only did they get they food last after they brought the food they bumrushed the table with to go boxes so yes they had to put they food in to go boxes and come home to eat food that they should have been able to eat with the party they came with. But i didn't eat it and I'll tell you why. My theory is their bread is pregnant and when you ingest it, tiny honey muffin things are born and attach themselves to my my thighs, buttocks and tummy areas.
