5/15/26: fantastic fry bread! Stopped in around 2:30 after doing some hiking and boy, did this place hit the spot. It wasn't too crowded and the young woman who helped us was extremely friendly. The restaurant is pretty large with some cool decor. We were lucky enough to be seated by the heater, which worked out well because it was rainy and a bit chilly out. :-) The fry bread was thick, airy, and absolutely some of the best I have ever had. The lemonade was huckleberry (I think) and it was delicious. Cold & tart, with just enough sweetness. Yeah, it was cold outside but the lemonade sounded so good we didn't want to pass it up. My fam who ordered the clam chowder devoured it. They also ordered the smoked salmon dip and let me say, I do NOT like seafood of any kind, but my sister said it was not overly fishy -- and she was spot on. Even I enjoyed it. The chili cheese fries were good. We could not pass up the rez apple sauté for desert, especially when the table next to us had it delivered to their table first. Darn good eats! Loved this place. Kids too. We realize Indian fried bread isn't going to be the most healthy option, served with everything, but they do it really well here and it 100% hits the spot on vacation when tired and hungry. My daughter is a picky eater and she finished all of her food and then some. Service was outstanding and the venue was very clean and chill. We stumbled on this because at the time of our visit, the Yelp status for this restaurant was CLOSED. Maybe that was the old location, or another "branch" location. FAKE NEWS! this location is not closed because I was able to have frybread for the first time ever and it was soooo yummy. I hate that I never had this earlier in my life. Reminded me of NOLA beignets! Too good for one's good. Got the three little Indian sample platter that had different flavors like that of tacos, and it was all very very amazing...Especially so with the sauces that came on the side. Service was quick! Such a wholesome staff who were also big twilight fans that made you excited to explore the rest of Forks, Washington. Our waitress briefed us on where to go and what to see that the other tour guides have not yet told us about. I really was so shocked with how little customers there were because this place not only had great food, but it was authentic Native American food and heavily featured that culture throughout the restaurant. I can't say enough about how awesome both the food and the hospitality was at this restaurant. The smoked salmon dip was to die for. I literally could eat that everyday and never get sick of it. I want to give a special shout out to Melinda James, wonderful cheerful spirit who welcomed us at the beginning of the day with fresh brewed coffee, then we enjoyed a wonderful clam chowder and halibut for lunch. I really liked this place- the food is definitely delicious! We got the three little Indian, chicken taco and clam chowder and we enjoyed it all. I would say it is only four stars because it is VERY expensive. It is probably twice as expensive as it should be and the portions are small. The other reason for four stars is the poor service. The waiters were trying but just not as good as I expect. But overall, I would come again. read more

We were passing through Forks on a weeknight and decided to grab dinner there before heading towards the coast where things might be closed. We picked The Longhouse Cafe because it was the highest rated on Google and open until 8 pm. Note that restrooms are located in a trailer outside of the restaurant. The restaurant itself is small and was bustling while we were there, but we didn't have to wait for a table. Service was friendly but extremely slow. I had the clam chowder with fry bread and my bf had the halibut nuggets with fries. I really enjoyed the soup. It was my first time having fry bread and it's kind of like an unsweetened funnel cake or zeppole dough. Recommend for the food but not if you're in a rush. read more

I had the birria taco which was actually 17.99, the way they do their tacos are really good. If it wasn't for the price I'd give this place a 5/5. For the price it is they should add a side of some sort with it. I suggest this place because it's different but I'm still hungry after eating there. I don't like to review restaurants 1 star, because I know this really hurts your business. However, I got very disappointed with my Halibut and Chips. Doesn't worth the money for the funny amount of fish. Even the presentation is poor. This location is open. We stopped by on our drive through town and we're so glad we did. The food was delicious especially the fry bread. Absolutely devoured an appetizer of fry bread while waiting for our main food. The host/server was so kind and patient and so helpful with the menu. I'm so upset I forgot to get her name. The owner's family helped him build this restaurant, and you can feel the love. His daughter's names are painted on the canoe, nieces' & nephews' on the paddles, and his dad's voice singing over the audio system while footage of the Muckleshoot Canoe Journey played onscreen. Our order: Smoked salmon dip - Just the right consistency; great flavors. He smokes it himself. Halibut fish & chips - So moist! Breading contains two secret ingredients. Nugget style cut of the fish "Rez Dogs" - for the kids. Hot dogs wrapped in fry bread, plus cheddar oozing in with the dogs too. This place can be hard to miss from the highway. It's in the parking lot of the Dew Drop Motel next to the Tesla charging station. We stayed in Forks for two nights and this was hands down one of the best dining options. We tried the clam chowder, birria taco (in frybread), and had a caramel apple frybread dessert. Food is fresh and made with quality ingredients. Really cool indigenous design and a pow wow video was playing when we came in. Our server was friendly. There's indoor seating and some outdoor high top tables that I saw some patrons eating at with their dog in tow. Highly recommend stopping in while in the area! read more

I was traveling through the Olympic peninsula last week for my birthday. My boyfriend and I saw the fry bread sign from the road but it was unfortunately too late and they were closed. We were sad because we didn't plan to come back to forks on our route as it would have been back tracking for us from our campsite, about 45 min away. We woke up the next morning and said you know what.. it's my bday let's just go back.. and I'm so glad we did! Everything is a 10/10. The frybread is pillowy soft but has that perfect crunch. The owner is so nice and chatted with all the patrons at the tables. I felt like I was eating at my uncles house. The servers were young, maybe high school kids or just graduated but they were so nice and sweet as well and kept checking on us and apologizing for the wait. the wait for our food took a long time but it was worth the wait! it's a small place with few workers and it didn't bother me at all. We wanted to try some of the salmon dishes but they were out because they get fresh fish daily.. I love supporting small businesses and I will definitely be back! read more

The food was good but the prices did seem high for what you get. We all got the 3 little Indians. The fry bread was good but you got about 2 tablespoons (that's probably a generous estimate) of protein on each. Something different but the value is definitely not there. Fry bread tacos were good. The salmon nuggets were awful -- the salmon was dry and what I think might have been intended to be tartar sauce was pretty gross. The two frybread desserts, especially the apple, almost made up for it. The server for our table seemed like a deer in the headlights and was very slow. The other lady was efficient and on the ball. As we were driving around Olympic National Park and arrived in a little town of Forks, we noticed the colorful native American paintings on the wall and decided to stop by for lunch. There was only one more group in the cafe and the service was fast and attentive. I had 3 mini fry breads with different toppings and they were great! Had a nice lunch at the Longhouse. I thought it would take forever to sit , order and eat as I only saw one person up front and another slinging food in the back. And being Forks WA was not expecting much. To my surprise we got our menus promptly, service was spot on for taking our order to bringing the food out. We were hungry! I had the fry bread pulled pork taco and wish I could be eating it now. Really good. The server was friendly, which was a pleasant surprise due to my (mis)perceptions about forks. We tried to go for dinner around 6pm, and the line getting in was so long (almost 2 dozens). We decided to go back the next day for lunch time. Finally we were able to eat for lunch. No line this time. Plenty of available seats. We ordered the following: 3 Little Indian Plate - hubby was very happy with this Smoke Pulled Pork - Pulled pork was flavorful and there's a very tasty and sweet coleslaw on top. Frybread under the meat was yummy. I never had it before, I find it a great pairing for the pork. Too bad we're only passing through. But if we will be around this area again, we'll definitely come back to eat in this place. Restroom is outside, not extremely clean and there's no toilet paper. Yummy! I got the vegan combo, and it was yum!!!!! Make sure you specify you don't want sour cream or cheese though if you are vegan!! I highly recommend adding a little honey to the edges of the fry bread because then you get a free sweet little treat after!! They do have cinnamon fry bread which is FIRREEEE!!!
