We were asked to show our id's! Haven't had to do that for many years! After a certain time, they card everyone. Plenty of tables and booths throughout, with fun decorations. A bar area and two pool tables, plus tv's throughout the rooms. I ordered the Calamari fries off the appetizer section of the menu, plus a house salad. My husband ordered the nachos off the apps menu as well. My calamari came out quickly, but everything else took awhile. Not sure why, since two of the three items were considered appetizers. The calamari was very crispy on the outside and tender meat inside. Yum! The salad was pretty basic, although very small for $8. It did come with a half slice of grilled bread. We went to blakeslee's for dinner. The is one of the only restaurants/ bars in forks. Upon entry, they were asking EVERYONE for ID, including people who looked like they're well over 45 (let alone 21). The inside is a bit dated but there is plenty of seating and a large bar in the back, with two pool tables. The food was just ok; caprese burger was dry but the fries were good. Note, all the apps on the menu are deep fried. Service was fine; the waitress was working hard to accommodate customers. Not sure I would eat here again, if other options were available in Forks. read more

We went in on our first day in Forks for a beer, ended up having onion rings that were very tasty. The service was great and the staff friendly. We were impressed so we went back there our second night to have dinner. I had the Chicken Bacon Ranch Salad and my husband had the Fish Burger, we were both incredibly good. We splurged for dessert-we shared the Toffee Cake-it was OMG delicious, even my husband who can be Mr Picky and only wanted one bite ended up eating half. I went here because I was told this is the closest place to a "bar" in town. It closed at 10pm the night I went and only stayed open until midnight on the weekends. It seemed like more of a restaurant than a bar but they did have 2 pool tables over in the corner. I needed something decent to take home to my air b&b so I ordered the oriental chicken salad and the fried shrimp meal. The shrimp was ok but I didn't want to eat much fried food on this trip and unfortunately there are very very few options in Forks. The salad was very lackluster for the price and the "chicken" was inedible. I sat the bar and talked briefly to a couple of the bartenders. They didn't seem interested at all in making conversation with guests. Two older guys sitting at the bar next to me made me uncomfortable so I left. I also got id'd 3 times since I walked in the door, which I'll be 40 in November, I know I look younger than I am but id'ing 3 times seems excessive. Basically this place is the latest hangout in town with bar food. Not a destination place to go to. read more

I recently visited Forks as a base to explore Olympic National Park and while the town is small and doesn't have much, they have Blakeslee's Bar & Grill and their awesome nachos! I was in Forks for two nights and ate at Blakeslee's both nights. Each time was great and was met with great service and personable bar tenders. I really enjoyed the atmosphere here as it had that small town feel and the restaurant served up some good eats. Both nights I had the nachos and the veggie wrap with fries. The fries were REALLY good and kept well as the first night I ordered the veggie wrap to go and ate it for lunch the next day. I also tried their roasted tomato and Gouda soup, which was also really good. If you're ever in Forks give this place a try! read more

My husband and I stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon, and we were pleasantly surprised! I ordered the oriental chicken salad, and it was so good--the dressing was flavorful, and the greens were super fresh. We also shared the chicken wings, which were really tasty. We went to Blakeslee's to catch a basketball game. They have multiple screens so we were happy about that. We ordered burgers, a Reuben, and a fish sandwich and everything was tasty and freshly cooked. The fish sandwich was not greasy and the portions were generous. We had a hefeweizen (good) and a hard cider (quite good). We had a reuben with onion rings, and a soup & salad combo. The salad was pedestrian, nothing special at all. The chowder (an uncharge from regular soup) was tasty and interestingly herbed -- in short ok, but I wouldn't get it again. The onion rings were great -- the highlight of our visit. The reuben was ok, though I've had better. So the net on the food was "good beer, good onion rings, most of the food passable but nothing special". The atmosphere was of an old-fashioned bar & grill, the kind with TVs scattered about showing sports, several reasonably friendly bar tenders, and the look of a place that gets rowdy on a Friday night, and busy for trivia night. Then there's the matter of the invoice and what we were charged -- the amount due wasn't the same as the total of the items listed on the invoice. It was off by less than $1, but it's pretty strange, one wonders where the accumulated errors from multiple patrons ends up (we were charged $0.82 more than the sum of the items on the ticket - see the associated image). We know that Blakeslee's is well loved in Forks - I wish we could say we loved it, but a better description would be that we got a decent but unremarkable meal there on a rainy afternoon. We ended up ordering a couple of beers and some food and sat outside anyway as was such a beautiful day. This was my first time at Blakeslee's. It's a small town bar and grill with a divey atmosphere offering billiards and a full bar. The caprese burger is to DIE for! I was intrigued by this Italian-American fusion. The burger was juicy, the balsamic tomatoes were perfectly bright and citrusy. The staff were so kind, patient, and let us feel like we all belonged. There aren't many options and when we pulled up here, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. At around 2:30 on a Wednesday afternoon there were a fair number of tables seated. Our server was lovely-very warm and friendly and kept the refills coming. I got the veggie wrap (all fresh chopped veggies with pesto mayo. It came with large seasoned curly fries which were really good. I was super hungry from a day of hiking and that lunch really hit the spot. Came here on a whim bc we were starving the day we drove into Forks. Coincidentally, we stayed in the tiny house resort right across the street from this place. You had to show ID after 3 PM. The food was delicious, exactly what you'd expect from a diner. We had an assortment of appetizers, which included french fries and gravy, wings, salads, onion rings. All were delicious! We also ordered several of their burgers and a chicken sandwich. Be sure to get their fries because they cut them special and they were incredible. Good service, good location, pricing was decent, and overall we enjoyed the food. If you're staying in the tiny homes resort across the street, you'll be happy to know you could just walk across the street from there. Also, they have a huge good parking lot! read more

We stopped by with our party when there were clearly tables available for us, but the staff flat-out refused to seat us. Instead of offering a reasonable explanation, they gave us attitude and insisted we should have made a reservation--a flimsy excuse that felt more like an attempt to push us out than anything else. What made it worse was that we were willing to wait, yet they never suggested how long it might take or made any effort to accommodate us. they simply didn't want us there. In a city where most restaurants are fairly similar in quality (mediocre), there's no reason to settle for a place that treats guests this way. This place gets five stars for being the only restaurant in Forks that will serve food on Friday and Saturdays at or after 9pm. Pacific pizza turned us away at 845 despite claiming they are open until 10. The food. Its standard comfort food. Nothing special. Our medium burgers will absolutely cooked to well done status, and our cheesy pretzel bites were very interesting but surprisingly good. The customers. This is another reason why the five stars. Most are intoxicated, some are a little weird, but man they got heart. My new wife and I were just married on first beach and we needed a place to eat. We came in wedding dress, suit and all, and the people that congratulated us, had some memorable advice, compliments and one kind gentlemen bought our table a round. Visit this restaurant if you appreciate snarky servers and if you're ready to wait for a ridiculous amount of time for your food. We recently came here for dinner (with an online reservation that is clearly a joke.). We were seated immediately but wait several minutes for drinks, then waited over an hour for our food items. Our server was ridiculously condescending when asked about the timing for our order, then ghosted our table to fill in for the bartender before we had our food. Other staff brought our food order to the table. One of our meals (a salad) arrived ten minutes after all of the other food. Our server only came back to check if we needed anything 10 minutes after we were done. We were charged extra for items that were never received, and also charged a mandatory fee for tip....which I would've omitted completely. Seriously, the food tasted pretty good, but the server (Riyan) was, by far, the worst we have ever had. No apologies for the wait...no excuses. The restaurant allowed for conversation without shouting. A variety of ales and ciders were enjoyed. I had the best Reuben sandwich I have had. It came with in house chips. It was really crowded but we got seated within 30 minutes. Even though they were super busy, the server was great at getting our needs met. Honestly, I'm not sure if it was because I was so hungry, but it was seriously one really good burger!! I customized mine and asked for jalapeño poppers and a change of cheese, but it was extremely satisfying. If I lived in the area, this would for sure be a go-to place on a regular basis. Really the only sports bar in forks. Ordered a chicken Caesar wrap which apparently means something completely different here. It was Crispy chicken, lettuce, tomato's, and Caesar dressing. Not great. Got a side of the chowder which was honestly the worst chowder I have ever had. For being so close to the coast and not being a picky eater I had two bites and it was a wrap. Tasted like bland hot heavy cream. No seasoning or flavor whatsoever, I gave up after adding salt and hot sauce. Service was good and so were the drinks.
