They've changed the name but the food is still outstanding. We come here every so often and find the food to be consistent. Lots of different Argentinian flavors and a wide selection on their menu. They're very fast to come and serve you, but it's recommended to make a reservation. The summertime is nice to sit outside, too. It's a great date night place for some pasta, pizza, sangria, or steaks. They'll serve up flavor and a smile.

We ordered for pickup. Although the food cooled by the time we ate it, it was still quite tasty. I can only imagine eating in the restaurant and enjoying the dishes served immediately after being prepared. The empanadas stood out the most. Rich, strong, bold flavor in the fried pastry. I can feel my mouth salivating just thinking about eating them! The pizza was good but I really think the texture of the crust and cheese would be a totally different experience if eaten right when it was baked. Flavor was good but was a bit underwhelming because it was significantly cooled.

Love this place! It used to be called Artistic Cuisine, but I love that they renamed it so now you know more what style cuisine you're expecting. We've gone here a lot over the years, and I would say it's a definite go-to for our special occasion meals. We love their pizzas here. The grilled seafood dinner for 2. This is a crazy amount of food and can easily be shared among 4. I don't know how they get everything cooked so well--from salmon to white fish to calamari to octopus to shrimp to scallops--I mean, c'mon! They all have different cook times, and yet every time we've ordered this everything has just been perfect. Chef's kiss. We also love the fettuccine carbonara. Our kids devour this. So creamy. So rich. It's for sure a decadent dish that's best shared. You'll go into food coma if you eat the entire thing by yourself. But I also wouldn't blame you if you did eat it all because it tastes so good it's hard to stop. Spinach empanada and chicken empanada are our favorites. They spinach also has cheese which is so melty and gooey. And the outer dough has an almost flaky texture--it's really good. The chicken also seems stewed, so it's saucy. We have also tried beef, but imo it was too dry and meaty. It wasn't bad, but I think these other 2 are just so much better. And the sauce to dip it in! So tasty! I wish I could just drink it. We also got the salmon, but surprisingly it wasn't that special. It wasn't bad, but there are other dishes that uniquely stand out, and the salmon just felt like any old salmon, which was a little disappointing considering we've tasted how well they can do salmon in the other dish. Oh well! I would say if you like salmon, you won't be disappointed by it. But if you want something unique to the cuisine, don't get this. Go order the grilled seafood platter for 2 instead and be wowed. Ok and last unimportant thing: the bread is so soft! It's delicious. Do they make it in house?? It has this lovely tender chew, but somehow is so fluffy like a little cloud.

Bendita Cocina is a small and locally owned Argentinian restaurant that seats about 40ish. I'm actually surprised it isn't considered a fusion since the menu is fairly diverse (ie. Argentinian cuisine, of course, but also pastas and pizza). This is a nice place for a dinner date or in my case a triple dinner date! Service throughout was hit or miss. Our group was provided waters and our drink/food orders were taken quickly but unfortunately receiving food did take some time. I understand though as this seems to be a small family staffed business and the place was PAAACKED. After putting in our entrée orders it took about an hour for the items to be brought to us. As far as drinks I tried their Felino 2022 Malbec. This was dry, smooth and DELICIOUS. This might be my go to wine from now on. For food, my husband and I shared 2 empanadas to start. We had the green onion and cheese empanada as well as the spinach and cheese empanada. The texture of the dough is fluffy yet crispy, I really enjoyed it. My preference between the 2 empanadas was the spinach and cheese. For my main course I had the tilapia which came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything went well together and the fish was cooked perfectly. I could bathe in the sauce it came with. It was rich and flavorful. I also took a bite of the fettuccini carbonara and it was just OK for me. I didn't necessarily think it was anything special but I appreciate that pasta is offered here. To finish the night out I tried the tres leches flan. Don't let my photo fool you, it was actually pretty good!

Food was super excellent, tasty and flavorful. Had Lomo con Champignones, Calamari Picante al Azafran, Empanada and Vieras A La Plancha (forgot to take pic) We came Saturday night, peak dinner time and waited 10-15 mins despite the reservation @ 1900 hrs. It's ok. Selection of Malbecs were great. Ambience and atmosphere of the place very friendly, happy and positive. If you have not been to Bendita Cocina in Palatine IL, you need to go and try their menu.

We were in town to visit family and friends last week. Our friends recommended Bendita Cocina, so they made reservations and we met them there. The weather was perfect for sitting outside! I think everyone dining there that evening was eating outside. The service was a little slow, but in their defense, the servers had to come all the way outside to the side of the building via the front door. The breadsticks are amazing! Items ordered on our table: pollo al mattone (half of a pan seared chicken with veggies and toasted potatoes - delicious!) salmon a la narranja (very good!) and old fashioned spaghetti and meatball. We highly recommend Bendita Cocina!

Nice and cute in a strip mall close to the cutting theatre in palatine. My friend and I stopped for a quick bite before a comedy show and enjoyed the food but the service slow as hell and we ended up missing 15 mins of the show. The sauce on calamari was very flavorful and delicious with hints of saffron., mussels were very sandy, not fun!The wines were pretty good and well paired with our seafood. I may come back if ever in the area.

Called to ask for wait time, they acted as if they are very busy, and asked to make reservations. We were there in 20min. When we checked in, the restaurant was empty, one table outdoors and one table inside was occupied. Ambiance is fine. Very clean Bread sticks - fresh and very soft. Salad- the best thing to have there. Very well made. Only reason if i visit again Pizza- bland, and extremely cheesy.

Faulds Oven - in use to this day!

We had ordered carry-out a few years ago and I had wanted to go back, so we did. The carry-out we had then was the best steak and absolutely best Beef Bourguignon I've ever had anywhere in the world. Although the Beef Bourguignon was still on the menu, it was no longer being offered. So we ordered the Ensalada Tibia and Vacio a la Parrilla. My husband said the Ensalada Tibia was the best salad he'd ever eaten. And the Vacio a la Parrilla, rare, was outstanding. The restaurant is nicely decorated and immaculately clean. I noticed the Faulds Pizza Oven near the entrance, and the nice waiter let me see the inside and how it rotated. What a gem these ovens are. They were made in Chicago but production was discontinued in 1971. Such a gem to have and still use! This restaurant has outstanding food and wonderful wait staff and is a small treasure in Palatine.

We ordered some drinks (no one got alcohol) and some appetizers. We got the Low Carb Yuka Fries and while that is not my bag, they were good. I was pleasantly surprised. We also had the roasted red pepper spread, which everyone enjoyed. Two of us ordered the Ultimate Steak Sandwich. I opted to removed the caramelized onions. The other person let them on. I also removed the garlic herb sauce but replaced it with a chimichurri sauce. That really kicked it up a notch and was good for dipping the fries in. They're fresh cut fries, so they were good on their own, but the chimichurri again kicked it up a notch. We also ordered the chicken bowl, the avocado salad, and the Greek style lamb chops. We all loved our food and were too full for dessert. It's a quaint little place, cozy for intimate conversation or a night out with family and friends. I think the night was made a little more fun when a couple came in and was seated at a counter height table and were making out all night. It was a lot and gratuitous. The table next to them were visibly uncomfortable and that made it all the more enjoyable to witness. Dinner and a show. Who knew?

This is meant to be your crazy expensive birthday bash or celebration, not an every day place. We are lucky to have a gem like this in Schaumburg with very busy servers who try their absolute best to give you a flashy service with delicious food. Are you seriously expecting this to be $50 meal for four? No way. There are many places you can get the same thing. Every time I've gone here, I've spent good money that I worked hard for, and have had great memories in the process. If you're expecting a simple Mexican restaurant, this is not your place. This is high end and very busy. Make a reservation, call in advance to make sure it's set. OpenTable is used by many restaurants, so you can't blame this restaurant for OpenTable's mistakes. The Los Tres Huastecos was PHENOMENAL. The Camarones Calavera was really fun to watch, experience, and eat. I don't drink, but my family loved their flashy drinks (the Deseo was their favorite). They made sure my father felt special on his birthday with a sash, a custom menu (which we requested for in advance with our reservation), and most servers took a moment to say happy birthday even when they weren't serving our table!! Chris was a fantastic server who despite being very busy, did a wonderful job with his service. I won't defend a place for no reason; I truly had a wonderful time that deserves its praise. I research everywhere I go, so obviously when my paycheck hasn't cleared, I'm not going here. But you also wouldn't go to Fogo De Chao or Hell's Kitchen and expect it to be as cheap as my burger at a Chili's (which I love as well). (Also for the comments about the guac, I do agree, but I've also seen the same size portion at other chains for the same price. *cough* south of the boarder *cough*)

Just a heads up, it does get pretty loud--but in a good way. The music, energy, and overall vibe really bring the place to life, so if you're into that lively atmosphere, you'll love it. We went all in and ordered one of the giant shareable drinks for our group of six. It was definitely worth it for the experience, though a bit light on alcohol given the size. Pro tip: order a round of shots too--they serve them in this awesome airplane presentation, which just adds to the fun. Food-wise, everything was really solid. The octopus was a standout--perfectly cooked and super flavorful. The only letdown was the salmon; the portion felt a bit small for an entrée. Overall, great vibes, fun presentation, and a perfect place to celebrate with a group. Would definitely go back for another occasion.

He must have been on the phone with his dad or mom because he said he had a customer and ended with an "I love you". All good. But I stood there long enough to hear that all play out, waiting to order haha. Anyway the funnier thing was he said "I'll have it to you in under 20". Which I thought was a funny way to phrase when my food would be ready. Like this could be a comedy bit almost. Usually you try to instill confidence that food will be out right away, not establish an upper limit for the time frame haha. Whatever, it was a kid. Also it took 21 minutes (per my receipt time stamp vs watch) The serious part tho... food review. 1. Jibarito was 7/10. Decent flavor on the steak but lacked a bit more. I wont blame the sogginess on the restaurant, it was a long drive home. I put it in the air fryer later. 2. The rice was salty - and I usually like salty. Also more wet and compounded, while also being a little dry like it was from the bottom of the pot? It's hard to explain, but I didn't love it. I wish it had more peas and maybe some pork and less seasoning TBH. 3. Maduros was my side - it was good. 4. Beef pastelilos - 7/10. They were the puffy kind, but more hollow than I'd like - i.e. meat to air ratio. But they were overcooked. I could taste the burned-ness of the dough and it didn't sit well. 5. No tostones - they were out. but a funny story is about 5 mins into my waiting another worker came in, so I could hear them talking in the back. The prior kid said something to the effect of "oh we are out of tostones".. "but I can figure something out". Like it was possible to make... the tostones... which weren't available to me at the time of my ordering... I kind of had a "hell naw" moment, but decided to suppress it. Net net, I ate half my jibarito because it was big. I could not eat anymore rice because it was too salty. And I had one pastelilo because now I'm full. One suggestion - make some pique. I asked for some hot sauce as I received my order and all they could offer were generic packets of what is probably louisiana style hot sauce. I want that habanero pique!!! I think it'll help, at least cut through some of the salty TBH. Also work on the service and timing. 20 mins is too long for 1 jibarito and sides. Thanks!
