UPDATE: I reached out to Lawrence as was requested by Kary in the reply and left him a voicemail. Surprise surprise, I never heard back. We ended up buying through Lexus South Bay and had a phenomenal experience, see my review there for more info. My family has bought 4 or 5 cars from Longo over the past 20 years, including my 2016 IS as the last one. I'm in the market for a new car so naturally I reached out to them to quote. The initial call with the sales team was helpful as he helped me realize I didn't need certain options and we lightly discussed pricing and the discount they were offering seemed interesting. Then things went downhill. It took multiple calls and texts of follow ups to simply ask for a quote so I could get the full details. When I finally received the quote, it was basically at sticker without the aforementioned pricing we had discussed -- basically back at square one after wasting days on chasing them. I called another sales team member and he was nice, but after we got into pricing and I showed him another more competitive quote and asked to negotiate, I was surprised to learn Longo wouldn't at minimum match given all the years of business we had done together. It's never fun to feel like you're trying to follow up with these people to take your money, but that's kinda how this ordeal has felt. I used to religiously tell my network to go to Longo cause they'd take care of you, but I can't get past this most recent experience to do so anymore. Oh well, every end is a new beginning I suppose. I was in the market for a used Lexus, my last couple of cars have been pre-owned to take advantage of the steep depreciation on new cars and although the market is a little crazy there are some good deals to be found. Looking online I found a 2020 ES350 at Longo that looked interesting so I wanted to take a look. We dropped by on a random Wednesday evening without an appointment. Guess that was the wrong move because they had changed their sales hours and it was just a few minutes before closing. (door sign says 8pm, website said 8pm but receptionist said 6pm) Uh, ok.. no problem, right? My previous three cars were purchased after the dealer was closed without an issue. Puente Hills Toyota, Longo Toyota and Diamond Bar Honda all stayed late to close the deal. So I ask reception to speak to a sales rep and I get the reply that sorry, the Manager says they don't have anyone to help me. Really? No one wants to come get my information, ask me what I'm interested in, give me a business card? Can't show me the car today? Okay, let's make an appointment... Where's that famous Lexus service? Where's the basic salesmanship? Longo dealerships have had our family's business for years, several Toyotas and Scions and even Nelson Honda across the street. But that was then and this is now... we will not be back. We just purchased my second car from Shift.com last week and we received excellent customer service and a great price. These traditional dealerships are going to have to step up their game to compete with these new online car dealers. Don't come here if you're dressed like a poor person. We came to Longo because I knew Toyota and Lexus was right next to each other. First stopped by Longo Toyota to look at the RAV4 hybrid. Spoke to a nice gentleman that told us there was a 3 month waiting period from order and all the vehicles out in front were already sold. He then advised if we wanted to look at the car, there were a few at the used lot, we weren't interested in used, but definitely wanted to check it out. Looked at it and we wanted to get one but it felt awkward not to test drive it before buying. So we go to see the Lexus NX hybrid line, it's only $10k more and it was there in the lot right then and there, not 3 months later. We go in, see the nice LC500, then tried to get someone's attention. This guy comes out and i asked to see if we could just see the NX. Not verbatim but it went roughly like this. "Sorry, we need a deposit before you can see inside the car." Yeah...we're going to buy elsewhere. read more

Sales guy Steven did not want to sell us a vehicle and discriminated us for being Latino. 1. When we arrived on site, Steven refused to meet us outside by vehicles. He insisted we walk inside office. 2. After 5 min Steven finally met us outside and we saw vehicles but would not offer me to test drive a single one(I had mask on too). He insisted in working out the numbers for vehicle first. 3. Once we sat down to discuss numbers he wanted to run my credit, mind you he did not offer to test drive a car! Seriously the worst experience I encountered so far, went there around 10.30 am on Wednesday, May 26,2021. The salesman name Van phu I believe was so hard to deal with. I literally was going to buy the car in cash but he made very hard to communicate with. I went for test drive and he required auto insurance this and that. I totally understand if that's the policy however I'm first time buyer and he didn't even want to explain and just went inside and refuse to talk to me. Expensive and not very honest or competent. I'm disappointed as I thought Longo was very reputable 1) I called in to inquire about transmission fluid change. The service manager called back and informed me that it's not recommended at all and could potentially damage my transmission. However, if I wish to proceed, they can. That's a load of BS. If the fluid change was done incorrectly, or if the mileage was too high and it's never had a transmission fluid change, then yes. But that's not the case. So either they are not very competent or want the transmission to kaput after 100k miles 2) I recently found out my friend took her car in for an oil change and brake inspection. They charged her $200 for a brake inspection. What a joke. That should be complementary. Customer survive was poor as well. When we brought up coupons, they gave her attitude. read more

They used to clean their cars before offering them for sale, not anymore. My car had dried liquid stains on the center console and food crumbs all over the floor. I've been a long time customer of Longo Lexus and prior to that a customer of Longo Toyota as well as a few other competitors. The main reason I keep coming back is because their products are solid and most importantly their service is top notch. This review is focused on the service department and not the sales, as my latest visit was for the regular service and rim repair. My go-to service advisors are Clement "Clem" Cisneros and Frank Lorusso. Frank has been part of the service department since the mid 90s and his experience shows. He is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to all vehicles in the Lexus line and is extremely patient when explaining issues that I encounter with my car to me so I can make an informed decision on how to proceed. He is always accommodating when it comes to my volatile schedule and works with me closely to address any questions I may have. I have known Clem since he started in 2009 and he has always made it his priority to make sure that the problem I had was taken care of properly the first time around. He understands the value of everyone's time and he gets to know you as a person since he treats you as part of the family. Recently, I brought my car in for the basic 5k service, which would normally take about an hour (maybe less depending on how busy they are); however I also needed my rim repaired due to an unfortunate encountered with a driveway median while badging into work. Long story short, the rim has seen better days and I decided to try out their rim repair service since it was less than a hundred bucks. Due to the rim repair, Frank recommended that I leave the car so they can have the repair cure and also to give the tech time so he won't be rushing it. They outfitted me with a loaner vehicle and I came back a couple days later. The 5k service went as expected but the rim repair was where they shined. The rim came back great, and while it wasn't like how it was when it came from the factory, it was pretty dang close. Now I truly understand that by taking the car to the dealer for repairs, I am going to be paying more than I would if I took it to the corner mechanic down the street, but what I am getting in return is peace of mind that my issue will be resolved; the level of service I expect is also what brings me back. Both Clem and Frank goes above and beyond to make sure that I am well taken care of when I bring my car in and that level of service differentiates it from the other dealers around. The Sales person (Eric Garcia)was top notch. Knowledgeable, not pushy, and just awesome he gets 5 stars+ but my experience with the finance manager was not a pleasant one. The minute he heard I was not interested in all the extra they sell like extended Warranty, some tire and wheel warranty. Anyway he was pleasant and friendly in the begging but after we told him we were not interested he completely changed his behavior to rude and looked mad the whole time after that. We felt uncomfortable but we really need the car, if it was on different circumstance we would have ask for a different person or cancel the purchase altogether. I want to give this a two star but I feel that would be unfair to Eric the sales person which we were so happy with. OVERVIEW: 4 days for minor routine 10,000 mile service & detail with appointment. MON (day 1): drop off car for low level service & detail. TUES (day 2): estimated date for completion. Maintenance completed at around 1pm. No phone updates from Longo. WEDS (day 3): new date for pickup because upholstery was still wet from detail on Tusesday evening. THURS (day 4): 2nd new day for pickup. I got call at end of business Tuesday that the car won't be ready until Thursday. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is for the Service Department. Generally my experience has been mixed. From adequate to excellent, depending on the Service Advisor (pro-tip: get a woman service advisor, they are excellent, the others are adequate at best). This time I'm just fed up. I set up an appointment for concierge pick up/drop off of my car from my home, with a loaner, on Friday for Monday for a 10,000 mile service and full detail. Easy, right? Wrong. Mon (day 1) morning at 8 am, someone calls and says that because of the detail, they won't be able to return my car until the next day, Tues (day 2). I was originally told that this is because it is due the concierge pick up service. I've had a scheduled maintenance and full detail done on my car several times over the past 9 years and it has always been completed same day. It is now 4 pm on Tues (day 2) and I still haven't heard back from Longo about 1) the status of service, 2) whether the car needs any work, 3) the detail, or 4) when in the world they plan on bringing my car back to me. For that matter, the only time they proactively called was 8 am Mon prior to picking up the car. They did return my call & leave a message at 9:30 am. Other than that, radio silence. I wonder how much longer I'll have to wait to hear from them? UPDATE #1 I heard from my service advisor who proceeded to be arrogant, defensive, dismissive, and condescending. I have never in my lifetime been treated so rudely by any Service Adviser. Admittedly, I was a little hot, which I regret, but that was also after waiting 2 full days for any news or updates on my car for a simple maintenance & detail. In all honestly, if Longo called and kept me updated as to the work and delays, I would not have been nearly as frustrated. A little communication goes a long way. When I told him that in the past my car was serviced & detailed in one day multiple times over the past 9 years, he said that was "impossible" and to "prove it". I suggested he check my records since the work was done at Longo. When making my point he said "let's not point fingers". The maintenance was actually completed yesterday (day 1) at 1pm. At no point was I updated as to the status of the job. He then said he there was no detailer available and it couldn't be done until this afternoon. I made the appointment on Fri and they knew the car was coming in on Mon (day 1) for 2 full days. The detail was done at some time on Tues (day 2). As of this moment, the car is still wet & not ready for delivery until Weds, day 3. Originally on Mon (day 1) I was told it wouldn't be ready until Tues (day 2) because it was the concierge pickup service. Today I was told because they couldn't get an available detailer until Tues afternoon and that the car wouldn't be dry until Weds. So is the delay due to the 'concierge service' or because they couldn't get a detailer until Tues? UPDATE #2: So Tues (day 2) evening after speaking with service advisor, he left a message saying Longo will not be able to "complete" the detail until Weds (day 3) & it won't be ready until Thurs (day 4). This makes no sense since on Tues (day 2) evening the service advisor said the car is wet from the detail & needs to dry and will be ready Weds (day 3). This really feels like some sort of flex. UPDATE #3: As of Weds (day 3) morning, SA told me the detail team hadn't even started the job as of close of business Tues (day 2). I made an APPOINTMENT on FRIDAY. They've had the car since MONDAY. It's not like I came in unannounced. PRIOR ISSUES: FWIW, this isn't the 1st time I've had problems. I'll spare you the details because the issues were resolved in a reasonable amount of time and communication was effective. PRIOR OUTSTANDING SERVICE: I mentioned having women service advisors. Neither woman works there as a service advisor anymore, but their service was consistently OUTSTANDING. They absolutely spoiled me. They kept me updated as to the progress of the repairs. Everything was done in a timely manner with excellent customer service. Naturally, both were promoted. I seriously could go out for margaritas with both lovely ladies. PRO-TIP: Longo (I know you're reading this), you NEED to actively recruit and hire more qualified women in all departments. Most certainly in customer facing departments. They are your greatest assets and would attract & retain more customers. read more

I do not recommend you purchase their Top Coat ceramic coating, do any detailing service or custom work here. They charge you a ton and the quality is not there. I purchased my ES in May and before I even took the car for a test drive I had noted that there were some small rock chips on the fender. No one really took it serious or bothered to really look at it for that matter (a picture was taken and sent to the salesman). When I was purchasing the car I brought it up again and was given a voucher for a detail which would take care of it. I opted for the top coat and have PPF applied to the front bumper / part of the hood to preserve the front end. This is something I have come to regret doing here. I received a call the following week to schedule to bring my car in to have the top coat applied, I had mentioned on the phone about having the PPF applied (i was told he did not see it on the work order but would speak to sales about this) Brought my car in a week later at my scheduled time to have this work completed. When I asked about the PPF seems they forgot about it and it could not be done at this time, they said I'd have to come back two weeks later and they could take care of it then. (waste of my time) Two weeks later dropped of my car, mentioned the little rock chips on the fender and they said they would take care of it. A week later I got a call that my car was ready to pick up. When I got home I looked the car over thoroughly and was not happy. There were, light swirl marks all over the car, streaks of ceramic coating on the chrome trim, windshield, and on the paint in a couple of spots, and the rock chips are still there. The PPF they had applied was peeling on some of the edges, bubbles and dust particles under and all sorts of imperfections. $1200 for the Top coat + $700(+) for the ppf this is unacceptable. I messaged Longo back about these issue, I was told to bring my car in to have it looked at. My car was a little dirty at the time so a lot of the issues could not be seen so they said that it would need to be washed and evaluated but could not be done at that time so I would need to schedule another day to bring it back and have it looked at (waste of time bringing it in) I took the car home, washed the car, took pictures of the issues and emailed it to Longos. I got a reply back stating that this was not up to their level of quality and they would make it right. They scheduled a day for me to bring the car in they would have the PPF redone and top coat redone. I told them I would be gone for a two week business trip and they could have the car for two weeks to they could take their time to fix these issues. I again brought up these rock chips but was told they would take care of it. I dropped the car off and when I got back from work two weeks later the car was not ready but I was fine leaving it longer as long as everything was done properly. It ended up taking three weeks before I could pick it up. When I went to pick the car up I looked the car over and noticed streaks on the chrome trim and sure enough the rock chips are still there. They brought someone out and they were able to clean up the streaks on the trim but as for the rock chips I'm being told this time I'm being told that they can't really fix it without making it worse (touch up paint would look noticeable or they would have to respray it and it might not match / inferior paint quality to the factory) but I they can do this. I was even offered to be given a bottle of touch up paint and I could fix it myself (not sure if this was a joke but no thanks). Even one of the supervisors or managers came out and said the same thing. Obviously not happy with this as I was led to believe that they could take care of this. I was told to go wait inside and they would come find me. After about 10 minutes I was told that they would speak to sales and see if there's anything that can be done and they'd let me know (have yet to ever hear back from that). I washed my car a few days later and looking over the finish and I come to find that a bunch of the issues that I had sent pictures are still there. On the trunk there are the exact same streaks of ceramic coating that was not removed and is now cured so it won't come off unless its polished off. The PPF is better (not perfect but its okay). I really don't appreciate having my time wasted (multiple trips back and forth some due to poor communication) and being mislead by sales and service. If I was told up front it could not be repaired then I would have passed on the car and waited for the next one. As for the level of quality of work this is something you'd expect from a $200 detail job not $1200+. I love the car but the whole ordeal has really soured the Lexus experience for me. read more

I couldn't get his name because his name tag was covered and he didn't introduce himself to us. But he's a really tall and pretty fit man. No call back. I used the chat on their website and was told I needed to speak with sales. I again provided my contact information. No call back. 4th and final attempt: clicked for an online quote. The service consultants are an essential part of auto dealership and their performance make critical impacts on the new business and the retention. Mr. John Yang at the Longo Lexus is one of many amazing service consults who excels at gaining trust from the clients and keeping them happy over the long run. I used to get maintenance services from a different Lexus dealership much closer to home since I purchased a new Lexus UX250H in 2019. However, that dealership had some management issues and service consultants changed quite often there. There was not a consistent point of contact each time for service. The worst finally came in winter 2021 when my one-off service consultant at the former dealership didn't return my phone calls regarding the need for tire replacement. I waited until the last minute and was desperate in need of new tires for my ski trip on the next day. It was almost end of day when I finally visited Longo Lexus as my last resort. I was fortunate to be assigned to Mr. John Yang. He listened to my issue patiently and didn't rush to close the case given the late time. He understood the urgency concerning my request and was responsive and supportive throughout the consultation. To my rescue, Mr. John Yang called up his mechanic contact and ensured my tire replacement could be done before the closing time. He literally saved my family trip! When I came back I called Mr. John Yang's office to ask about something. I didn't leave any voice or text message, but to my surprise, he returned my call proactively and offered to help. Wanted to write a review for Ray Huang at Longo Lexus. Been on the waitlist for the GX550 for over a year and got the call from Ray. Ray was phenomenal from beginning to end. Courteous, professional and just a nice guy with not an ounce of the hard salesman vibe I always dread when going into car dealerships. The whole process was straightforward and transparent. Gotta say the Longo lexus dealership is fantastic also. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The facility is huge, modern and clean. They got a customer for life. read more

I thought the sales team at Longo Toyota was crap, Lexus was worst! You would think a luxury car dealership would be nicer. Their building is crap. They do not offer you water or coffee when you come in in the morning. You basically walk into an ugly office set up. Came in for 2 cars, worked with a sales lady who really did not take us seriously at all. They take forever to even work out a starting price to try to sell at. The states MSRP is the best they can do. They really need to train these sales people that car sales is a back and forth bargaining marathon. We just looked at her prices and left. Got called from a customer service rep and I told them the sales person was crap and if they want my business, I want to work with someone else. They said they would have someone contact me back asap. No one called. Go to Glendale Lexus, WAY BETTER SERVICE AND FRIENDLIER STAFF!!! I just bought two cars here at an amazing price!!!
