An installer from Long's was sent to do the water hookup for a refrigerator we bought from Howard's. The technician they sent was a very young man, who showed up with a buddy of his. He initially quoted us a price of $120 to run the water line from the sink and around through the cabinets to the refrigerator. However, after starting the job, the installer informed us there would be an additional $95 charge to move the diswasher so he could get the water line around it. We declined this extra charge and sent him away. A few days later, another much more experienced installer from Long's came by and performed the entire job for $155. The first installer was very inexperienced and unprofessional - and his friend did not belong there at all. (Not to mention the friend couldn't take his eyes off my wife's chest the entire time they were here.) So - be careful who you get. Some of Long's techs are great, others not so much. read more

I was very impressed with the professionalism and expertise of Hoang & Mike. A defective cooktop resulted in the power to my home shorting out. They didn't get 'dramatic' as the situation became complicated and didn't require payment until the job was completed the next evening when we'd obtained a replacement. They finished at 7:30 p.m the night before Thanksgiving to insure I'd be ready for my guests the next day. They were very careful with the location and kept me updated with pertinent issues. The replacement model required modifications to the cabinet and granite, which they handled very well, disclosing the reasonable additional charges well in advance. Just stay away from this guys as far as you can. we hired them on 3/15/2018 to install a chimney, the installer showed up at noon and was working on it till 9pm, he was very rude and very loud, the only reason that i didn't kick him out of the house was because we needed to be done that day. my mistake because he did such a poor job and i ended up hiring someone else to come and finish his work the next day. because I am an small business owner myself, i decided to share the experience with their management team before writing any review, so i called and spoke with the manager on 3/16/2018 and he apologized for the tribule experience we had and told me that we get $140 refund to make up for the money that i had to pay the second contractor. after that i followed up on 3/20/2018 and he said the accounting department is informed and will issue the check ASAP i called and text on 4/2/2018 then again on 4/10/2018 then 4/16/2018 and 2 times today 4/23/2018 and none of my calls was returned. this is so frustrating and very unprofessional way to treat a client. read more

We used Long's yesterday to haul away an old built-in fridge and install a new one. These guys were the best. They sent a knowledgeable three person team that did a great job. They even did some wood trim work on our cabinets to improve the fit of the new unit, as it was just hair narrower than the last one. If you buy a built-in fridge from a big box store, they will normally drop ship the unit to your home, but they absolutely will not bring it beyond the garage or install it. You need a special set of installer like these guys to do the job correctly. These are huge appliances weighing between 700 and 800 pounds. I could not have been happier with Long's. The service is well worth the few hundred bucks you pay. The company is totally up front with pricing, and clearly explains their charges on their web site. No question I would use them again for any type of appliance job. read more

This company COMPLETELY FLAKED on me yesterday and totally left me hanging! I called on Wednesday 9/23 and asked if they could move my fridge from my apartment to a house. The guy I spoke with said sure. He called me back 5 minutes later and gave me the price of $125. I told him it was a full sized stainless steel LG fridge w/French doors and a connected water line. He asked me if it was a built in fridge, I told him "no". I asked the guy if they had a moving truck with a hydraulic lift, he said "yes". I schedule my fridge to be moved on Fri, 9/25. Yesterday, two skinny guys from Long's Appliance Delivery show up in a PICK UP TRUCK! The one guy looked so young he could pass for a 13 year old in Junior high! I tell them right away that there's a problem, my expensive stainless steel fridge is supposed to go on an actual moving truck that has an electric hydraulic lift. The guys tell me that their main delivery truck was "busy that day" and their boss sent them instead. They look at the fridge and they know they won't be able to lift it onto the bed of their little Chevy Silverado. He calls the boss and tells him he's not comfortable moving it and that it's too big; he won't be able to lift it into his truck. He finds out that their large truck isn't available at all until early next week (my walk through was scheduled for the next day!) he gets off the phone and explains to me that there was a "mix up in the office" and he's waiting for someone else to call him back. No one ever calls him back. They take their appliance dolly back out to their pick up truck. They come back inside and apologize, saying they thought my fridge was a small "garage type" fridge, he doesn't feel comfortable moving it, and even if he were able to get it downstairs without any damage there's no way they'd be able to lift it and load it into their little passenger pick up truck. I explained to them that that's why when I booked this fridge to be moved I specifically asked if there's be 2 men and a delivery truck that has a hydraulic lift vs. a loading ramp. The guys said something about laying the fridge on its side and I told them that a fridge can NEVER be laid down on its side b/c that would permanently damage it! They apologized again and left, completely leaving me hanging and in a huge bind! It was 2pm and I frantically started calling other moving companies based in Orange County to see if anyone else could come and move my fridge. After about the 7th company I called, I was finally able to find someone who could come and move my fridge. I never got a call from the owner or office manager of Long's Appliance. They completely SCREWED me over and totally left me hanging! When I called and booked the fridge move on Wednesday with Long's I specifically inquired MULTIPLE times if they'd be using a large moving truck with a hydraulic lift on it, and multiple times the guy on the phone said "yes." Instead, they send two scrawny teenagers with a pick up truck! I could have just as easily asked my friend and his brother to come help me move my fridge in their pick up truck if I would have known that this is what Long's appliances was going to send! I trusted this company because Howard's TV and Appliances uses them all the time for appliance home deliveries. I figured it'd be better to go with a company that has experience moving and delivering large heavy appliances all day long vs. a regular moving company. Stay away from this company! DO NOT use Long's Appliances! They will completely screw you over if a bigger, more expensive job gets booked! They will double book you and send the wrong guys and the wrong equipment out! Not once did I get a call or an apology from the owner or manager of this business! I was in tears on Friday, Frantically trying to call other moving companies because Long's failed to provide me with the service they agreed to-moving my fridge. DO NOT use Long's Appliance Delivery! These guys are fantastic!! I ordered the full package of Thermador appliances and we had Mauricio and his helper Diego come out to install. They were on time and did a phenomenal job! It seemed like on every piece we had to make cuts in my existing cabinets in order to accommodate the new appliances including cutting my granite countertops... Mauricio went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfectly aligned and looked great without getting any scratches on my delicate wood floors. These guys were terrible. We purchased $25,000 of Thermador appliances from Howard's and Longs was the installer they sent out on the refrigerator/freezer unit. Trung and his co-worker arrived at 3pm and were still working at 7:30pm. They didn't seem to know what they were doing and went back and forth to their truck multiple times. They then tried to convince us that the trim kit 'wasn't needed' and when we insisted it was they did a poor job installing it leaving raised screws on the panels vs. sunken screws to be flush with the panel. They also did some damage to our new custom built cabinets. We have yet to hear from either Howard's or Longs regarding the issues but you can bet we won't be using them ever again. read more

I was very pleased with the service we received. The installer had to face a number of problems in installing our drop in oven cooktop all-in-one range. But he was able to cut the countertop beautifully and sand it without leaving marks. He hooked up the appliance and got it running. He even set the clock! Mauricio came to install a dishwasher purchased from Howard's and haul the old one away. They did the job quickly and efficiently, and they also found a leak under the sink. They replaced the parts they could (it turned out a new kitchen faucet was needed), and were very professional. Would hire them again. read more

I was replacing a 29 year old double oven and the new double oven was not going to fit. My cabinets are custom painted and I do not have any touch up paint. The only way to get the new oven to fit was to cut the cabinets and possibly loose the drawer under the oven. I was VERY nervous due to the fact I had no way to touch up paint or no way to fill the hole if I was to loose the drawer. The installer said he would do his best. He spent a lot of time measuring to make sure he was accurate. I was VERY nervous!!! The end result was BEAUTIFUL!! It was perfect and he saved my drawer. Yes i had to pay extra but I am so happy with the result it was worth it. I didn't need any touch up paint and he saved my drawer. I would highly recommend Longs Appliance Installer. These people showed up on time and perfectly handled a tough, second floor installation of a 48" built in refrigerator.

Absolutely dreadful. We were desperately waiting for them to remove our old, dead refrigerator and install the new one we bought from Howard's. They arrived two hours late, then only one guy came up - he didn't even tell us that there was a second guy in his truck. He took no measurements of anything and was completely unprepared, even though we'd given detailed measurements to the person at Howard's. He took no measurements and barely looked at the job. He just declared that the refrigerator would not come out. I asked for his supervisor's number and he claimed he had to go to his car to get his phone. Then he just took off, with our new refrigerator. I finally got in touch with his supervisor through Howard's. Mr. Long said that he would come here (WITHOUT any workers) to look at the job, likely creating another two day delay in our new fridge being installed. He claimed that we must have remodeled after our refrigerator was put in, which is absolutely not true. He seemed to be looking for reasons not to bother, and then said he'd charge us extra if they could remove the refrigerator, but he was still assuming the job was impossible. We called another company, which brought two guys (just as Long's claim they had) and removed the old fridge in under an hour. Maybe Long's has some good people, but these people were lazy and dishonest. Creepily, they also called back later asking if they could come to take pictures to "prove" to their boss that the refrigerator could not be removed. Looks like someone else on this page had a similar experience. If Howard's wants to continue to use these people, they need to be more selective about who gets sent to their customers' homes. We have provided them with pictures of the completed job, but it still cost us extra days with no refrigerator, time off work, etc. Inexcusable. read more
