    Kosher/Halal Chefs Salad

I worked in Longworth during the summer of 2014 and it was closed at the end due to renovations. It was always a bit pricy but the selection of food has greatly improved. I came back when visiting Congresswomen from Maryland and Delaware with other disabilty advocates two weeks ago and was impressed that they have so much variety, including kosher and halal certified options. It does get quite crowded on busy days when so many are advocating so it was very hard to find a place to sit.

Overall this cafeteria has to be the best cafeteria out of any of them on the Hilll. There is a bit of a wait for the food as there always is a large crowd but I think that if you are visiting any of the house buildings for work/volunteering you should go here. Plenty of foot traffic here as mentioned before but I think that they get through the line really fast. For most of the food choices you are picking up pre-made food and you go to the line to pay. However there is a buffet where you can make your own salads and pay for that by weight. I can't recall the priceb y hand but it was not too bad. If you are in the area, I think you should try it! Be prepared to be looking for a seat though!

Good selection At the end of a representative US Capitol tour we asked our guide where was a good place to eat and learned about Longworth Cafeteria. He was heading that direction and let us join him, otherwise I don't know how accessible this place is to the general population. Longworth Cafeteria offers a large selection of reasonably priced items. As tourists we have already noticed it is expensive to eat in DC compared to home, this was a nice change. Located inside the Longworth House Office Building, it is likely primarily for workers in that building. We grabbed trays and headed out to find food. It was lunchtime, and busy. I picked up a slice of sausage pizza and a premade Reuben sandwich. There are registers between the food and the seating where you pay. Even though it was busy my wife has an uncanny ability to find a table and we were soon eating our lunch. My slice of pizza was ok, about what you should expect when you pick up a dry looking slice from under heat lamps. My Reuben, that was a fine sandwich. If I worked in the office building it would be my go-to sandwich most days.

Very typical of a mid-sized cafeteria to be found in any large office complex. This place gets extremely busy but there are a few registers for check-out; some of which are for members and staff only. The prices are comparable to places of the The like. I paid five dollars and some change for a bottle of Coke and a small salad I made from the salad bar. The salad bar is currently forty-eight cents an ounce. Other options include pizza, burgers, sandwiches, sushi, etc.

Longworth, Cannon, Rayburn, oh my! Basically 3.5 as cafeterias go. No frills - just quick and easy lunch options. When compared to Rayburn and Cannon House office buildings, Longworth has more options. If you are looking for variety - Longworth is your best bet. ***If you are indecisive, then god speed. Overwhelmed on what to order, fear not: IMO the wrap station is the best (also tends to have the longest line out of all the stations). Wrap it up: When I use to work on the Hill, my go to here was the buffalo chicken wrap ~$6.00.

A good selection, but the lines can get pretty long. I feel like the wraps are the best value, but I haven't tried all of it. You get a lot of fresh ingredients wrapped in a tortilla. The rustic sandwiches are also not bad. If you're in a rush and don't want to wait, just grab a plastic box and and hit the salad bar. You'll be out of there in no time.

Best cafeteria on campus. Yes, better than Rayburn, Cannon or anything on the Senate side or even in the new CVC. The reason why: options. Longworth has more variety than the other cafeterias on campus and theres plenty of seating. Go for the Global option it changes daily but always pretty good. Even if you don't go for food go to WATCH people. You can catch Members, staffers, lobbyists, and my favorite - tourists! It's an interesting place to be between noon and 1:30pm.

    Very very greasy (not) ramen.

Longworth Cafeteria Pro-Tip: If you get salad, bacon isn't considered a protein, so you will only be charged $5 instead of $6-7.

Fitting, since it's right next to the Air and Space museum, I decided to hit the National Museum of the American Indian and partake. Skip all of the food trucks lined up along the road, and go inside and sit down and enjoy. It's one of the few times I dined anywhere and knew exactly what I was going to get. It was set up like a mini food court with different stations which had different dishes. I ponied up to the one with the taco and the woman put together an amazing looking "taco". It's like no other taco I've ever had. This thing weighed a lot, and that made the $18+ price tag worth it. It was delicious and definitely knife and fork material. It was a hodge-podge of meat, beans, pickled veggies, and sauces and it was delicious. There was plenty of seating when I was there and some cool views of a water feature outside. And since you're here, go visit the museum too. It's pretty cool!

The wild mushroom very good - had a herby taste. The squash was ok - the spinach overpowered the dish. And the corn pudding with jam was good. There was a peaceful ambiance - the view of the outdoor space was lovely. Nice complement to a beautiful museum.
