Kameryn is a professional colorist! This woman took my unhealthy hair and over processed hair and over the year (because getting really blonde takes time people) gotten to the goal! I was a transient hair client when I found Looking Glass. My stylist had moved and I haven't found the right fit until Kameryn. She is so talented. If you need color this is your girl!

Jette Tena did such a great cut on me!! I was able to get in within a day which was refreshing, and she was super skilled in assessing my hair type and doing her thing. I showed her a reference pic and then gave her the rains and I am IN LOVE with what she did!! Affordable, pretty salon, personable and impressive stylists--I'll be coming back!!

My stylist was Chloe. I asked her for shoulder length, layered cut and showed her pic #1. This is what I got. #hackjob

Chris was super nice and I was able to get a same day appointment (visiting from out of town and decided to get a haircut last minute). Awesome that they accommodated me butttt.... I asked for my hair to just be trimmed a little preserving most of the length because I'm getting married in May and I want to keep my hair as long as possible, she literally gave me a mullet. I said long layers would be ok but instead I have a shag haircut that will not go into a ponytail. I'm devastated. Giving 3 stars because the customer service was great and the salon is cute but I'm going to lose my mind if my hair doesn't grow back into something somewhat pretty in the next 3 months.

She does a banging job of waxing! Always makes sure no little hair is left behind! I've only been waxed by jesslyn and Bekah a few times but I was never disappoint by them either! Upon arriving for my appointment yesterday, I neglected to completely latch the baby gate (which serves as the door to the establishment). I thought I closed it all the way, but it turns out, the latch did not actually click into place. The mother reprimanded me for this in front of another customer. She told me that I need to make sure the gate is closed completely because they have two dogs in there and I can't let them out. Pretty much verbatim and in an annoyed tone. She actually went out of her way to correct me on this matter-- after arriving I went immediately to the bathroom and she waited for me to finish, then stopped cutting her client's hair and followed me to the waiting area to deliver the reprimand. I have never left the door open before; therefore I was not known as some kind of repeat offender, habitually conspiring to release the hounds. I did in fact close the gate behind me, it just didn't latch, which should have lead mother to assume my intentions were based in good faith. I have been coming to this establishment multiple times over the last year (every 3-6 weeks) and spending $60-75 each time. From a purely customer service standpoint, she should have remembered that I'm a steady, well-paying customer, quietly latched the gate behind me, and gone about her day. I didn't realize that I would be visiting a petting zoo while getting my hoo-ha waxed. I don't mind there being dogs there, but I certainly don't want to be held accountable for their safekeeping. The mother has chosen to bring dogs to her place of business (I'm not sure but this could be a health violation based on the nature of the business?) and therefore it is HER responsibility, not mine, to ensure her dogs don't get out. She will note I left my dog at home, and did not go about my day expecting others to be responsible for his safe-keeping. I was made to feel uncomfortable, as though I'd done wrong, and when someone spends a lot of money at an establishment, they don't want to leave with a negative feeling. So even when the service itself is acceptable, the overall experience can still be overwhelmingly bad. I wanted to speak with Danielle about it but did not feel comfortable because there is no privacy in the salon-- it's one big room with a divider partitioning the two areas off and everyone in the hair section can hear what everyone in the wax section is saying and vice versa. I would strongly recommend the mother invest in a baby gate that has a spring action to allow the gate to automatically shut after being opened. We have one at home for our toddler and it works great-- then we don't ever have to sharply rebuke our guests who come over for dinner when they accidentally leave it open. Or even still, post a sign asking customers to make sure the gate is closed and latched- explain that you're burdening them with the safekeeping of your animals and apologize for the inconvenience. Or perhaps she should just be responsible herself for ensuring the tricky latch gets engaged since the pets are her responsibility. All of those options would have been infinitely better than a stern reprimand to a paying customer for failing to do something for which she should not have been responsible.

I have been seeing Dagmar for four years now, ever since she worked in a small room at a salon…read more(that's now closed). Since then, she has had 4 different locations and I am still loyal to her as ever. I cannot say anything negative about this amazing woman. She is an incredible esthetician with lots of knowledge and skills. I have gotten facials since I was 14 and she is the best esthetician I have had the pleasure of meeting. When I first saw her, I had moderate cystic-like acne and active acne with multiple breakouts per month. Just after few months of treatment (1-2x a month facials), my acne was less severe, scars were less noticeable, and I started breaking out less. Fast forward 2 years, I started getting compliments on my complexion from strangers. Now, I break out only when I eat certain foods (milk chocolate, french fries, pizza) or around my period. So ever since then, I have been on her appointment book once a month for the past 4 years. Wow. That's crazy but I am so thankful that I have found Dagmar! Her prices are very fair as well. She is also known for eyelash extensions, reiki (energy healing - has done a lot of incredible work on me!), and electrolysis. She is always booked out weeks so make sure you make an appointment right after you're finished with your session. Not only is she an incredible esthetician but she is also an AMAZING person; I can't describe it, you have to meet her and see for yourself. She has a HUGE heart and is such an empathetic, sympathetic, compassionate, understanding, wholesome person. She pretty much knows my whole life story lol so she is like my family. Last Christmas I even gave her a gift - that's how much she means to me! I've even seen her teenage son grow like 6+ inches within the past few years because I literally have been seeing her every month for the past 4 years (wasn't kidding about this!). I can honestly say that Dagmar is definitely an important person in my life and I am so glad that I have met her - she has made a positive influence in my life both aesthetically and spiritually. Thank you Dagmar, love you!

I have had around 50 total hours of electrolysis on those areas; which have been worked on by a handful of electrologists all along Puget Sound. When I saw my other electrologists, I would always leave those appointments with super red, inflamed, sometimes burned, blistered, scabbed over skin. Not to mention, the treatments themselves were painful because insertion of the needle was done incorrectly. My skincare routine following those appointments consisted of Neosporin all over my face, everyday, for upwards of a week until the treated areas healed. Unsightly to say the least. Dagmar is undoubtedly the best. The fact that I feel no pain during treatment and very mild redness afterwards speaks for itself. Her aesthetics background further validates why I feel so comfortable getting treated by her. After 3+ months of treatment, still can't believe how happy my skin is during/after electrolysis at Melange Spa. If you are looking for an electrologist, take my word for it and go see Dagmar. She is incredibly knowledgeable about a wide range of beauty treatments - and she kindly lets me pick her brain about it all! Not to mention her beautifully decorated, relaxing studio. She is so warm, friendly, and makes me feel beautiful every time I leave. You won't get this kind of treatment anywhere else in the PNW.
