Recently went to Looma for a therapeutic massage, while my mother got her nails done. This place is beautiful and calm, all the staff were very friendly and patient. Within the spa section, you really feel transported to a zen zone. I was happy to wait there, but then was left ten minutes once in my designated room for my appointment. The massage therapist listened to my specific needs and helped problematic areas of my head, neck and shoulders (since I get migraines). I was given the option for tea or water afterwards which was gladly accepted. My mothers nails were nicely done, but I hate to say they chipped just a couple days afterward. I also was disappointed she could not get a massage appointment close to mine and chose to get her nails done instead. It seems they have very few therapists on staff to do the massage appointments. Overall - I had a great experience, but I think there are definitely improvements to be made on the salon and spa sides. read more

Really happy I decided to give Looma Spa a try. I've been living near by for 3 years and always wanted to stop in. Setting up the appointment is really easy. You can book online by creating an account or you can call in. I liked that I was able to get an appointment on the same day. The pricing is so affordable and the service you get is top notch. Most salons increase their prices but their service decreases and you will not find this here. I booked a signature pedicure and I was so impressed with the service. The nail tech worked on my feet for an hour and I was snuggled away in warm towels and blankets. I was greeted right away when I walked in and someone took my coat and asked if I wanted a beverage. Booked a spa pedicure and couldn't be happier. I was greeted by Natalia who was very sweet and had a calming disposition. She was also very accommodating and offered me some seasonal tea, which was delicious and added to my spa experience. My spa pedicure was an hour long, done by Grace. She was very sweet as well and started appointment by giving me a heated neck wrap and heated pad that I could put on my hands or lower back. My feet are smooth, and my polish is perfect. Overall the experience I had was far from great. The front desk girl was nice and accommodated our walk in time slots. Salon appeared clean and well kept. Decent selection of colors Came in for a pedicure and was serviced by Grace. I'm not sure if she was too tired or having a bad day but... this was likely the worse pedicure I've ever had. I'm sorry to say that but these are the reasons why- 1. The chair I was in was broken. I couldn't adjust the seat closer to where I place my feet therefore had lower back pain and was uncomfortable the whole time 2. My nails were not filed down, just barely buffed. The corners are all very sharp and I ended up filing down the corners myself when I got home 3. Nails are uneven, some shorter and some longer 3. My nails were not cleaned well- by this I mean she did not get the dead skin that accumulates around and under the nails... this is one of the key reasons why I get pedicures because nail techs typically clean the nails much cleaner than I could 4. There was no massage and the "back massage" you get while sitting at the drying station was quite literally felt like the lightest rubbing you could think of...she didn't even try to use any strength 5. My mom also had this nail tech said the tech didn't apply any base coat to her nail before the regular color 6. Lastly... when I was standing up to leave she stood next to me watching and waiting for her tip...pretty awkward All in all- it felt like I just had a very lazy nail tech who was giving the bare minimum. Again, who knows if Grace was having a bad day or tired but regardless I expected much more from a salon rated 4 stars as this is the reason I decided to try this salon opposed to others in the area read more

I live in the area so I thought I'd give Looma a try for a pedicure. the place is pleasantly decorated and the atmosphere is as one would expect. the people were friendly and prompt. My polish didn't last as long as it usually does. I can only guess that either the polish they use is of a poor quality or the technician's technique was not good. But the one thing that will stop me from giving the place a second chance is that I am not convinced that the instruments were sanitized and the disposables new, single use. This is because I did not witness them being removed from sealed packaging. My fault for not asking, but I prefer to just not return rather than confronting the staff. read more

Caitlin gave me the best massage I ever had. This was my first time at Looma. The staff was friendly, it was very clean, the vibe was relaxing and my appt started on-time. I was looking for a new nail salon and I stumbled across this one online, it had good reviews so I gave it a shot. The atmosphere of the salon is very clean, and stylish. There is bracelets & necklaces all around the store, while soothing music plays. I was pleased to see that they had many OPI gel colors! So if you like that brand as much as I do, you're in luck. I was greeted kindly by Eurice. She offered me some water and tea and was very friendly and professional. She explained every step to me as she was doing my nails. She was very informative. I got a gel shellac manicure. The part I loved most was when they put aloe on my hands, they felt SO soft! Everything was sanitary and new. Looma Spa creates a unique experience. The second I walked in, I was transported to another space. I instantly felt my stress melt away. Kassandra preformed my Just Exhale massage and she is so skilled. The pressure was perfect which she made sure of by checking in with me throughout the service (soooo appreciated). I was offered water and tea afterwards and moved over to the salon side where Viki preformed my pedicure. Viki is delightful and my feet look phenomenal and they feel so soft! I absolutely loved the pedicure, all natural lotions and oils which is perfect for my sensitive skin, def worth the $29. I did not love the shellac gel manicure as much as I wanted to. I put in the online booking notes that I have sensitive skin, and the manicurist clipped off my cuticle skin and I started to bleed. (It is still stinging as I write this). For $40, I expected more in my manicure. It's a bit lumpy and I wish my nails were filed in a more clean way. Total came to $69, which is ALOT of money, I really expected more massage time or a more spectacular manicure. read more

I've been meaning to write this review for months! One of my best friends got married in October and for the day before the wedding I had decided to set up a spa day for all the bridesmaids. Most of the party was arriving on Friday from out of town and we had to be at a rehersal dinner that evening . I called up Looma to see if all 5 of us could get the Looma sampler and still be on the road with enough time to get to the rehersal dinner. They were able to get us all in! Went to the spa for my package deal. It was a birthday gift from my in laws. I called and discussed the package I had a gift card to, I then mentioned needed a prenatal massage. No problem. I would just have to upgrade to a full 60 mins since they only do 60 mins for this service and it would be about $33 bucks. I had a very nice experience. Girl at the front was super sweet and had me fill out a form then wait. I worked with Michelle (?) for my massage. She was very nice and super attentive to my needs. I then had my facial with Jennifer. She was quick, efficient and suggested I try a full facial next time. Last item on my list was a mani and pedi. I had Sara. She was very nice, detailed and took her time to leave my nails looking nice. I skipped the eyebrow wax so my total was $20 plus the cash I spent on tips. About $60 for the day. My spa package was $230? Not sure. Prices can be a bit much more than I normally pay but it's worth it if they always meet my standards. Overall, my experience was excellent. I look forward to booking another day of pampering with them. I can be a very loyal customer so long as the place of business deserves my attention and money. I hope they continue to impress me. However, the nail side is really showing wear and tear on the facility (paint, tile etc). For the prices we pay this this should really be kept up on, also they could use more colors. Drinking my tea while waiting to get my facial and manicure . The spa is nice for manis and pedis. This is the first time i tried a facial here . It was nice and relaxing . The only things I thought could be improved are no moisturizers were put on lips , if eyebrows need shaping other places will do that too but I didn't have that happen here. Also I was disappointed that there were no snacks in the spa waiting area just water . I was there for 2 hours and normally wouldn't complain but I'm pregnant and would have appreciated a fruit or something like other spas have . One other negative I experienced is my manicurist did not speak any English so it was hard to communicate with her . I loved getting my mani and pedi here by Stella. She does an amazing job! However, on my last visit I decided to try their other services and went in to get my eyebrows done. I specifically asked for sugaring since waxing never worked for me in the past (I have very sensitive skin) I reiterated this to the technichian that took care of me and she still insisted on wax. Next thing you know I'm walking out of there with a piece of skin missing in between my eyebrows. The worst part is everyone noticed and were staring at me the entire visit and no one said a thing. The only reason I didn't complain was because of my nail tech since she always does a wonderful job. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this place. it's unfortunate since I also paid 60 to become a VIP member. Next time please listen to your clients when they ask for a specific service, I know my skin and what works and what doesn't and say something when you see a person missing a piece of skin after a service. So the spa itself is nice and clean and Jessica did a very nice job...I'm not big on small talk and she was fine with just letting me sit and not say much. The waiting area is a bit cluttered...it is so crowded with products that the 3 seats are just awkward. One is right next to a display table and the other 2 are nestled quite close together which essentially means there's one seat. The issue I have was with the booking and charges. So I had a gift card and booked my appointment online. When booking, the system takes a $25 deposit, which on it's own is a bit odd, but my natural thought process was, "ok, it's a deposit to hold the appointment and if you want to apply it towards your services, great, but if not, I'm sure it just gets credited back". Nope. When I went to pay after my nice mani-pedi, I asked the nice girl at the desk about the $25 and she said it would be a credit on my account at the spa for next time. I go maybe once or twice a year for this stuff, so that is not ideal. I told her that the website does not indicate that the deposit must be applied towards the services or be left as a credit at the spa. It actually says nothing at all about why they are charging people $25 to make an online reservation. She expressed regret but really had not authority to do anything. Someone else (after about 5 minutes of back and forth) eventually came over and rigged it so I'd get my money back, but that's obviously not the way it's meant to be done. The first day of school can be very stressful on parents so I booked myself a spa treatment at Looma Spa to counteract the chaos of getting kids ready for their first day. That appointment was the best decision I made all day. I started with a massage for Jennifer who was very attentive and polite. She hit all the right spots and I left feeling a million times more relaxed than before. I don't get a lot of massages, but that one made me forget about the lunch packing, hair brushing, nail biting anxiety of the morning. I'll definitely request her when I go back. I finished with a basic pedicure from Sylvia. She was very gentle with my feet but still had the strength to give me a fantastic foot massage. My feet look so pretty and feel so soft, I don't even want to walk on them. Their prices are pretty much in line with whats in the area, but the ambience, cleanliness, and friendliness put them above other places I've visited. If you're looking for a full spa experience, this is not the place. While the massage itself was good, we did not have robes, a sauna or even a shower. There was no pre-massage relaxation. Once it was our turn, we went directly into the massage room. We were instructed to get undressed and put all clothes into a basket in the room. This is where a robe would have been nice. The massage was nice, however after the massage I was looking forward to a sauna and a bit more relaxation. After it was over, the lights were turned on and we were to put our clothes back on, covered in oil. Again, the massage was good. However it was not a full spa experience at all.
