I was disappointed today when i visited Looney's. They are only offering brunch menu from 11am-1pm, not a lot of choices on their brunch menu and watch out if you are craving for French fries you will be disappointed because it's.not available after 1pm. They offer burgers but it will come with chips. I guess will not recommend this place at this time. read more

Went here for St. Patrick's Day on 3/17/20. There were 7 of us. Cover was $10 pp. Our average round of drinks cost $45. The place was packed. Seemed like a decent crowd. Two of my best friends work there. One was at the main bar inside and the other was working the small tent outside. Because of this, we split our time between the two areas. So WHY the one star rating...keep reading. We were there about 2 hours and my fiancé and nephew were making their way inside the building to use the men's room. As they did so, there were two bouncers on the steps. One approached my fiancé and told him he had to leave. He had done NOTHING wrong. He did not stumble, fall, fight with anyone, absolutely nothing! All he wanted to do was use the restroom. When my nephew questioned why my fiancé was being thrown out so abruptly, the bouncer's response was "because he's drunk!" My nephew said "so are 98% of the patrons here!" My nephew then asked if he could go outside to get me and let me know what happened and this bouncer told him "no". My nephew told the bouncer that he was wrong for throwing him out and the bouncer shoved him and told him he had to leave too at which point 5 other bouncers swarmed my nephew and began physically assaulting him. I saw the commotion and intervened. I pleaded with them that this was not necessary as we were leaving of our own free will. I'm assuming since they saw that I was sober and threatened a lawsuit, they let up and we walked out. Wait...there's more! So the three of us went to another bar. The other 4 friends remained at Looney's. About 40 minutes later we got a message that one of the females was also thrown out randomly and given the same excuse "because you're drunk". When she said "I just need to use the ladies room." She was told NO & that she could go to the Wendy's across the street. This was the SAME bouncer. So...an establishment that advertises a drinking event on one of the Major drinking holidays of the year takes your money at the door and then randomly kicks their patrons to the curb simply because they're "Drunk"??? News flash just about EVERYONE there was drunk! Alcohol is how this establishment makes its money! I have worked in the bar industry for 21 years. There's a protocol for this. If a patron appears to be inebriated you first cut them off. You then offer them water. You allow them to use the restroom. If their condition does not improve you politely tell them they have to leave and you offer to call them a cab/Uber for them to make sure they get home safely. What you do NOT do is give THAT discretion to your BOUNCERS. It is not their job and they are not educated and trained to make those educated decisions. Your bartenders are the ones who have the training necessary to make those decisions. Your bouncers are there to keep order and to make sure physical altercations are handled and diffused. Looney's has roles very twisted! Looney's at this location in Nottingham will NEVER see another dime from me! read more

I was at this location on 8/2/21 at approximately 2:11 p.m. and had worst experience. Me and my friend waited 45 minutes for our order to arrive cold and mixed up. We asked to speak to the manager (Kimberly) and she came to our table and displayed the most rudest, unprofessional attitude for a manager. We explained to her that this was like the 2nd time we've been here and received less than stellar service and her response was and I quote "Why do you keep coming back". Love the food, portions and Happy Hour pricing. The crab melt and reuben egg-rolls are a must try. My reason for give 3 stars is the loud music- late night and bands- I get it, but at 2pm I shouldn't have to struggle to hear the person next to me. The past visit I sat in the back dining room which is much quieter but less open, another time the back was closed so we went somewhere else. I have prided my review of the day for Looney's because I have legit always had a great experience. However, this is the third time recently I've visited and my first doing take out and was disappointed in my yard bird wings. I threw them away after eating the first two so I don't have a pic but they were cold, small, fried hard, dry and "sauceless". Yes....I made up that word. But it's how I felt. As you can see from my pics prior, the wings are usually plump and juicy covered in sauce so much that when you finish your wings the sauce is still covering the plate. I just had to try and rub the two wings in the middle of my dozen that had the most sauce on the other wings to make sauce. That sauce is what makes the wings....if u haven't had it, it's amazing so u can imagine my disappointment when it wasn't there after I went out my way to ride there after work and drove 20 mins to get home only to see a cold, over cooked, dry, shriveled up baby wing. I sat in traffic in addition to my long ride because of a water main break so it really sucked. This review has 3 stars because I had take out and could only review the food. I was in and out in less than 5mins. I love it here because of the consistency but just letting my other regular customers know to ask regular wings not well done with sauce covering every wing and extra sauce from now on. Hopefully someone from management can read this and take care of the problem. I will be back since this issue is hit or miss but the thing is it shouldn't be and never had been. Oh and there was no hand sanitizer at the food pick up counter on the side of the bar. I used the pen after I opened the door and was surprised not to see any there for me to sanitize my hands before signing my receipt. read more

Two stars for good customer service. The front house staff is always nice. My only issue is the cook(s). Every time I go, I order a medium rare burger and get well done. I'm ok with medium. But to order medium rare and always get well done is completely unacceptable. They are always gracious and recook it, but they need more efficiency and consistency in the kitchen. read more

I don't usually make poor reviews but I won't be back to this place. The first time I ordered a French dip but despite my judicious use of the sauce it was still way too salty. It came with the wrong sides. The same day my partner's burger was overdone and did not come with the toppings that were ordered. The second time I had to send my shredded chicken sandwich back twice- first when it came with the cheese I asked to have excluded but then after I took a bite of the overly dry and incredibly salty sandwich. And I never send stuff back. This place is super loud, crazy busy, and frequented by sports-loving county folk looking for a local place that's not a dive so it fits their bill. But the din and the set up of the TVs around the main bar also makes it hard to hear or attend to your game. It's just sad that a downtown fave hasn't been approximated at this northern locale. read more

I was really impressed with the service and the food. My husband and I both got a meal each, and both had to take half home. The portions are huge. He got the 2 hot dogs and crab mac and cheese. I tried some...yummy. I got the crab and shrimp salad club. I think it was called the Chesapeake Club or something like that. Very good. The waitress was on point with service. My only complaint...and it's because I'm not a fan of the style...they had Country Music blaring. But, the service and food made me bear it. :) read more

Back in 2020 I ran into the same issue that I ran into this weekend. We want to sit on the nice new deck that they built and enjoy the nice weather outside. I pull up a seat with my wife as there weren't many people there on a Sunday evening. The 4 tv's have 2 with the Phillies game on, one with the WNBA game on and the 4th has the UFL football game on. I ask the bartender if we can put on game 6 of Stanley Cup Finals on the tv that currently had UFL which nobody was watching. The two guys to my right also wanted to watch the game. The bartender says she has to ask the manager on duty because in the past that has been a problem. He comes out and tells me that he can't change the television because its tied to other tv's - I think they have close to 80 maybe more. We ate our food, paid our bill and myself, my wife and the two guys next to me went to another bar. You can't brand yourself as a sports bar and then not cater to your customers when they want to watch a game. I've taken them back off the list of places to visit when I want to catch a game outside - side bar food was excellent and bartender was awesome. I tipped her 30% and said she could have made more if her management could get it together. :( read more

Came here on 10.19.18 to watch The New Romance play. I knew it would be pretty packed since this location is still new (open for less than a month). Even though it was packed, we only had to wait about an hour and a half for a table which wasn't too bad. Once we were seated, the service was fast. My only complaint is that on busy evenings, they need to be more conscious of table stealers lol. There's a dining area and 2nd bar in the back of the restaurant and people were just stealing tables as soon as people left them. Our wait probably wouldn't have been as long if the staff was monitoring this. But other than that, great time, great food, and great atmosphere just like the Bel Air Looney's. read more

Finally decided to check out Looney's new location for lunch with my mom early on a Saturday. We were seated right away in the front bar at a high top table. Our server, Madison, was very friendly and attentive with filling our drinks and making sure we had everything we needed. We split two appetizers, mozzarella moons and potato skins. Both appetizers came with 4 per order. The mozzarella moons had the perfect crunch on the outside and were gooey on the inside. I struggle with potato skins not being crispy enough but Looney's got it just right. We were also given large servings of marinara sauce and sour cream which I appreciated because I'm used to getting skimped on sauces at other places. Went there today. No servers or bartenders or hostesses were wearing masks for the outdoor dining. I left and called and spoke with Jordan who informed me it was too hot to wear a mask and not to worry cause they had them around their necks! She said we could request the server to wear a mask but the server already approached the table maskless and the hostesses greeting everyone did not have a mask. I check the state regulations and it said every staff had to wear a mask when interacting with patrons. I'm all for opening things back up but with proper safety regulations in place read more

We just love this place. I love the menu selections. The Irish menu is very, very good. It is a shame it is only til St. Patty's Day. They do have the New York Ruben on the regular menu, which is excellent. They have Natty Boh on tap, which is definitely a plus for me. The nachos with chili are plentiful, and very tasty. I finally had a chance to watch a game at this new Looney's location. I thought I arrived early enough to get a seat at the bar but I was wrong and wound up getting a tall boy table instead. Worked out fine and I was able to watch several games on the TV's surrounding the area without a problem. My waitress was Madison and even though I was by myself she was very attentive. (I've noticed at other bars if I'm at a table instead of the bar by myself the waitresses will tend to take care of the tables with multiple people. That was the case at Looney's.) The food selection was very good and I thought the prices were very reasonable. The sound system was excellent. I took note that they have a TouchTunes machine so when I go back in the future I'm looking forward to playing some of my favorite music. I was very upset when we went for the USA World cup game during their brunch hours. The website had stated the power hour prices for each of the items listed, we ordered those items and when we got the check after a four hours there. We didnt get the prices advertised. I asked the waitress what happened and showed her the advertisement, she told me that they were told not to give those prices, BUT only if the customer said something. So i did and the manger still didnt honor my wishes and follow the Sunday prices for those hours. Never had a place be so sneaky and not honor what is being advertised that what makes people come and to come often, so my friend and i were highly upset with how this was dealt with. This past weekend we had a 50th birthday party at Looney's. We were expecting about 25 people. When I first met with the staff a week before they weren't sure they could accommodate us because it was a busy night with a popular band. Within a few hours I received a call that they would take the reservation. The party went very well. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Just a FYI to some of you. Our family had a party at the Looneys in perryhall . The food was delicious, shrimp salad, crab balls, salad, wings and chicken tenders for the kids .
