I recently enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Mother's North Grille with my Continental Societies, Incorporated sisters following our June chapter meeting. The food was delicious, the drinks were excellent, and the overall atmosphere made for a great dining experience. What truly stood out was the exceptional service we received from Trevor. He was personable, attentive, friendly, and made sure our group had everything we needed throughout our visit. His positive attitude and professionalism made our lunch even more enjoyable. I wasn't expecting a good experience on Mother's Day considering the crowds, but I was pleasantly surprised. After a wait of about 30 minutes, we were seated at a spacious booth. Our server was really personable and helped us with our selections. I had the chipotle/chili chicken and shrimp dish--it was delicious and paired well with the potatoes. My job held its holiday party here last night. I've had food from here before so I was looking forward to the party. It was held on the patio bar area. I loved the space created for the event and I appreciated the warmth from the heat lamps. Service was great. The bartenders were excellent. The drinks were delicious (I had the Blackberry Bourbon Smash and the Cider Margarita and I think the margarita was my favorite of the two). I gave 3 stars because of the food. I was overwhelmed with the taste of the selection. I enjoyed the shrimp cocktail and the pulled pork sliders the best. The Greek pasta salad and the pretzels weren't too bad. The chicken tenders needed salt in the cooking process because they were bland and the honey mustard didn't do any favors. The crab dip was disappointing. I've had their crab dip before and I liked it but this time, it just tasted off. I feel like I tasted more cream cheese than crab. For this shindig, the drinks were the clear winner. Loud and crowded at 1pm Saturday, January 2026, too early for any NFL games in this big, beautiful building. Three of us were able to get seats at the bar. Server was busy, but OK. I just recently visited this business on Monday, which was Labor Day. My aunt and I walked in and was greeted right away. There was no wait. We were seated right away. There was indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit inside. There was a live band playing on the outside. Our waiter TAG, yes that was his name just like the game TAG what very cheerful and polite. He made sure we had water with lemon. I ordered a strawberry margarita with salt and my aunt ordered a creamsickle crush. Both were to our liking. We ordered crab dip for the appetizer, which came with nanny, celery and carrots. I didn't care for the crab dip. It had bread crumbs on top and tasted fishy. I would definitely pass on that next time. For entree I ordered the double crab cake with loaded mashed potatoes and a Ceasar salad. My aunt ordered ribs, onions rings and sweet potato fries. I gave her one of my crab cakes and she gave me some of her ribs. The crab cake was just okay. My Caesar salad was fresh and delicious. The loaded potatoes were delicious but, could have been more loaded. I did ask for sour cream and cocktail sauce for the crab cake. Now those ribs were definitely delicious. That's what I will be getting when I return. The were tender and seasoned just right. I didn't taste my aunts sides but, she enjoyed everything and even had some leftovers. They have stepped up their service game. Went last night and had a great experience. We had the steak tips which I wouldn't recommend but my friend liked. They came with crostini but I wasn't a fan of the sauce on it. We also got chicken and waffles sandwich 10/10 and banana chocolate bread pudding ice cream also 10/10. All is well until the hostess sat at my friends and I in the cold porch they said it was heated, but it had a fake fireplace and the heaters were some ah. We got sat not under a heater, but in the corner, where all the wind was blowing through, servers were nice, but the only thing that threw me in my friends off were that they gave us plastic water cups, and not enough water for the whole table. All was going okay until my friend had a bite of her old bay seasoned wings, she had explosive diarrhea and the hostess was in the bathroom while it was happening. Once we left the restaurant the hostess gave us dirty looks. Another thing to add on is my dear friend was out with her boyfriend and all was going well until they forgot her fork and she could eat her food. I will say though if you don't mind have a raging stomach after, it is pretty average bar food. Extra prices for average food. read more

We were a party of 2 on a Saturday before Christmas. They were pretty crowded, but we were seated right away. It's a pretty large stand alone building with lots of seating inside and outside, as well as its own parking lot. It's nice inside, spacious and sportsy. Our server was pretty great. We ordered appetizers, or entrees and dessert. Everything was very good and the prices were great. It was a good experience and I'll definitely go back when I'm in the area. We decided to stop in and are glad we did, after passing it many times and saying, "we need to try this place out". We saw the gorgeous patio where many customers were enjoying lunch and conversations. It looked amazing. We chose to dine in. And was seated promptly. Our beverages were delivered.our server suggested multiple customer favorites, and we decided on the lamarvelous cheese steak. It was excellent! The meat on it was great along with all the toppings, loved the crispy, whimsical onion straws, as seen the picture. I got the fish and chips, it was good. Actually, I was searching for an NYS fish fry, and this came close. This place draws a crowd and is probably really hopping in the hot months with indoor seating and indoor/outdoor bar. After an afternoon activity with family at the fairgrounds down the road- we decided to grab a bite to eat at Mother's North down the road. We made a reservation for 5:45pm via their website. If you plan to make a reservation, just know that means that they'll seat you next available, they won't have a table readily available for you when you arrive- like a reservation usually would. Our reservation was was for 6 people & a toddler that we planned to have sit in a booster chair. Upon getting called for our table, we noticed that most of the tables were just longer than normal booth. We had 6 fully grown adults (one of them being a pregnant woman). Not typically a very enjoyable meal when you are all sitting shoulder to shoulder during your meal. I asked the hostess if we were about to be seated if it was possible that we wait for a table that had chairs rather than a booth. Her response back to me was "no, this is all we have." I said okay- can we wait for the booth in the back that is a bit roomier? "No that's reserved." okay... we also had a reservation? I said alright, is there anyway we can arrange a table that would have chairs? "No, this is all we have- do you still want it?" Before even sitting down to enjoy our meal, already feeling like this restaurant cannot accommodate us. Not sure where they sit larger parties than 6? Also you couldn't book a reservation online for any parties bigger than 6 so I'm confused how the larger booth was reserved... After being seated we had great service from our server, Tag. The food came out quickly. There was a mixup with someone's meal in our party not coming out on time & they did discount the meal for us on the behalf of their mistake. Club sandwich, quesadilla, chicken fingers, shrimp po boy, chicken sandwich- were all very good. I think everyone enjoyed their meal. Overall our service & food was great- however the hospitality & friendliness of the faces at the front could use some work. If you're going to Baltimore--you need to find Mothers! There are a few and well worth the trip. My friend and I had Orange Crushes--the signature Baltimore drink. They are so refreshing and hit you fast if you're not watching. Luckily, we had good bar food to go with the drinks. Crab dip is a must--so good. Then we got sandwiches and split them. Came on a buisness trip and came across this restaurant. Place has good music and the service was very good. I ordered the chili as an appetizer, it's came plain sure to order any ingredients on top or as a side order. I ordered a side of chips which was a perfect combination. The chili was delicious a little spicy but the flavors we perfect to my palate. I also ordered the Greek salad, the lettuce and all the i ingredients were super fresh. As my entree I ordered the loaded mash potatoes they were cold so unfortunately I wasn't able to fully taste the flavors. I ordered 10 piece boneless BBQ wings and they were the BEST!! I have never tasted such delicious wings, they were percent white meat and super juicy. For dessert I ordered the creamsicle float with their homemade ice cream, it was so delicious , the homemade ice cream was the Best part super creamy great alone or with a float. If your looking for a nice sports bar this place is it, come with the family or friends and enjoy, they have tv screens Eve where, great music an amazing WINGS!! My husband and I stopped by Mother's North Grille for a drink and a bite to eat while we waited for our sons who were having a little fun at Skyzone. When we walked into the bar, we stood waiting to be addressed by the gentleman at the stand. We actually had to address him before he even acknowledged us. He walked off to locate a table, claiming that there were none, when another hostess came over and seated us immediately. Confusion.....but, whatever! The floor of the restaurant was nasty. Food and paper everywhere. After watching a gentleman bus the table near us, I could see why....I watched as he sprayed the table and brushed all the debris onto the floor. I guess they were trying to turn as many tables as possible. Our waitress was excellent, honestly she is the reason this restaurant received any starts from me. The Caesar salad I order was good, but the honey Sriracha wings were blah. I am not sure why so many places fail to season their chicken prior to tossing them in the sauce. After my experience here, I came to the conclusion that people mostly visit this restaurant for the drinks and the sports. Definitely the perfect vibe and atmosphere for that. Just wanted to go out and watch the Maryland game while eating. Good place for above average bar food and plenty of sports in the TV's. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Had an order of old bay wings to start. Nice and crispy with plenty of meat, just make sure to ask for extra blue cheese or ranch if you like using it. For dinner we had a prime rib French dip sandwich with fries and a Buffalo chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Both Sandwiches were good, the Buffalo definitely has a little kick. Regular fries were a little soggy, but sweet potato fries were very good! If you want a casual atmosphere and lots of sports to watch, definitely recommend stopping here! read more

We had a great time having an early dinner on the patio at Mother's! The space is heated, so no worries there. We had our toddler with us and had a fun time playing with the giant connect 4. We were initially seated inside but requested to sit on the patio (iykyk with toddlers). The hostess was pretty annoyed, not sure why because both the restaurant and patio had plenty of space available. Regardless, we got to sit on the patio, had a great server, it was all good. Mother's has a great local beer selection, so we started there. I got a Big Truck brewing beer and my husband got an IPA brewed for Mother's specifically. We also ordered fries ASAP (also, iykyk) and our server asked what sauces we wanted with them. This is the kind of stuff I love. I never think to ask for anything other than ketchup with fries. We got a side of buffalo sauce with them, it was a winning combo. I ordered their boneless with with Ravens sauce (honey and old bay). They were really good. Fried lightly. My husband got the cheesesteak, that baby was BIG. He said he liked it but it wasn't his favorite. They don't have a kids menu on the menu but our server gave us some kiddo options. We opted for chicken tenders. The basket of tenders and fries was pretty big and ended up being $12. Service was outstanding. The only thing that really annoyed me was a fee that was added to the tab for using a card to pay. Like, of course people are going to use a card to pay. It is an easier pill to swallow if you just factor that into your prices, rather than punishing your customer for using their card. read more

I was staying at a hotel not too far away and ordered Mothers on Door Dash. As a result I can't speak to the ambiance. My food was hot on arrival but they did not include ketchup for my fries which was very disappointing. I ordered a cup of cream of crab soup, Chicken cheesesteak with side of fries and a ginger ale. I wasn't feeling well and barely had my taste buds and the food still tasted good. The ketchup would have really set it off for me cause I like ketchup on my cheesesteaks and fries. But all things considered I'd eat Mother's again just in person next time. You should give them a try. read more

Awful embarrassing evening w friends and family. Sadly this place was my idea to feast w out of town guests. Due to prior visits (during Covid) and security measures in place as well as always greeted w stellar customer service, we had to visit. I arrived and this place was almost full, 0 social distancing safety measures in bar area. Owners should visit unannounced to see exactly what I'm talking about. Strangers directly next to each other at bar and high tops. Sitting in a booth was our only option unless we went elsewhere. Safety measures were taken in dining room areas. Spent over $365 ($300 at table, $65 at bar) before gratuity and taxes for the waitress (Elizabeth) and manager (Alvin) to totally disrespect our party over $7. 1 2 parties, 2 tables, 2 checks. I was told Elizabeth didn't feel like splitting the checks but I didn't hear exactly what she said but her doing job INITIALLY w checks would have eliminated this rating and review. We love our family and friends but had no plans on covering their bill... not tonight. 2 Elizabeth messed up on our bill w more than 4 dollars of charges that weren't requested nor authorized but that was neither here or there. Initial bill given tallied $7 less for gratuity. Gratuity is 15% - 18%. Somehow she was comfy w adding 18% w the 15% job she performed. Lizbeth stormed back to our table like an action figure physically and verbally upset. She was very rude, increasing her voice, pointing and demanding her $7 and giving back our bill w 3 credit cards and $100 in cash. I requested a manager (Alvin). I had no plans on arguing w Lizbeth over $7. I thought it was tasteless as well as she messed up in the 1st place w seating, extra charges and bill divide. Separate bills possibly would have given her a 20% tip but absolutely not w her behavior. 3 We sat as 2 parties at 2 tables. Table 1 had 4 folks, Table 2, 4 folks. I'm not gonna assume anything but there were obvious differences between our 2 parties and the 2 to 3 parties remaining at bar that could suggest treatment differences. He told us that we needed to get in the other side of the door while recalculating bill. Whatttttt??? As previously reviewed, I was so happy w this place. After visiting the 1st time alone, I returned 3 times since bringing company. I still can't believe this is how our (friends, family and whomever I share experience with) relationship will end. I feel so foolish for initially giving 5 Stars. 2 hours later and still disgusted. Right is right and I hope tonight's behavior, lack of support by management and neglect of written rules was worth the 7 dollars. I dined with some friends for an early lunch on Sunday, July 28 at Mother's in Timonium. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. Our server, Ariel, provided outstanding service. The problem came in after we received the bill and found that an unexpected surcharge for using a credit card was included. This information was not communicated properly to ensure that customers were aware in advance. I am quite sure there are many folks who eat at this restaurant who don't notice the extra fee on their bill for the use of credit cards. If we had known about this surcharge in advance, we would have brought cash to avoid being penalized because we chose to pay with credit card instead of cash. We dine out once to twice a week and know of no other restaurant with a surcharge fee for choosing to pay with a credit card. read more

One thing I wish covid would have altered is the food proportions that are served, no be a more of a normal serving versus a giant size serving.
