She's very professional, always replying my emails promptly and thoroughly. She makes sure to include plenty of visuals so I would know what everything looked like. She was patient through all my changes (I had quite a few!), gave great alternatives, and offered her suggestions as to what would and wouldn't work. She provided me flowers for both my civil ceremony and wedding (which were on two different days). We had talked about two very distinct styles for each day and she gave me exactly what I had in mind. I had the pleasure of having Anna design and deliver my wedding bouquet. I ordered my wedding bouquet and boutonnieres from her. She was incredibly helpful and thoughtful from the very first time I spoke with her on the phone. I had a pretty high level idea of what kind of bouquet I wanted and knew I wanted gardenias as the main flower and she suggested different coordinating flowers to go with the bouquet. The flowers were spectacular and smelled wonderful. They were freshly prepared that morning and delivered to my apartment the morning of my wedding day. It included a very simple and beautiful vase. Anna is a sweet person who truly cares about her customers and realizes how important getting it right the first time is. She was thoughtful in her responses and suggestions, and very prompt at getting back to me. She was also the only one of the 4 florists that offered to meet with me in person to see the flowers. Understandably, my order was smaller than some wedding orders so the fact that she offered to meet was a personal touch too. So it didn't feel like my order was too small for her. After my wedding I had a 4 hour wedding shoot in some pretty windy and rugged conditions-- the flowers were still gorgeous and intact. Gardenias were sweet smelling and the petals were still very firm. It is amazing how the flowers made all my photos look so much more dramatic and beautiful. My wedding took place in the Central Valley, and I had the most difficult time finding a florist who understood my style. My preference is a very natural look, soft but contemporary and with clean lines. I like flower arrangements that look like they came straight from your garden. I came across the Loop website online and immediately fell in love with the look of the arrangements. I thought the price would be too outrageous to consider, especially since it would involve traveling four hours. After bidding it out, I was pleasantly surprised that the pricing was comparable to what I received from a competing florist in my hometown. So it ended up working out. I am so happy that I came across Loop. Mary Lois is a very gifted artist who lets the beauty of nature speak for itself. Her style is understated, somewhat modern, and "fresh". She is a great listener and has a knack for understanding the style you are going for. I was able to give her very general guidelines, and she went from there. When you sign on with Anna and Loop, you're not just getting a decorator, you're getting an ally. Anna listened to us. We gave her a fall color scheme and a limited budget. Prior to our in-person consultation, she worked through a few proposal revisions via email. When we met, she samples, pictures, and suggestions. She understood when we wanted to direct the process, and when we wanted her to use her best judgement to take care of things. She has a great relaxed but confident personality that allowed us to leave things in her hands and focus on the rest of our event planning. We bought out a restaurant (Zazie) for our small ceremony and reception. A few days prior to the event, we took a closer look at the space in which the actual ceremony would take place and decided that the undecorated backdrop needed something extra. We turned to Anna and asked her for some last-minute help. She came up with a quick solution that really tied everything together. On the big day, she sent her people nice and early. They took care of everything without a hitch and worked very well with the venue. Pick-up was equally prompt and the delivery/pick-up guy was really friendly. Loop did our wedding in September 2010 and our experience was beyond what we could have imagned. We are not creative people and were hoping that someone could capture the style we were going for. We met with Anna and it was like a weight was lifted off our shoulders. My husband and I found Anna by chance and are so lucky we did. We planned our wedding in less than three months and could not have done it without her (we really had no idea what went into planning a wedding). We selected Zazie in Cole Valley for our wedding reception (also incredible) and Zazie's owner, Jen, referred us to Anna as a florist with whom she had worked with for prior weddings. Luckily, Anna happened to be available on the day we'd picked and did not balk at the task of having to put together a wedding from scratch for two people who had no idea what they were doing in such a short amount of time. We met with her to discuss our tastes and what we imagined for the day of. Much of the input we gave her was vague and contradictory. She listened to all of it patiently and was able to build on the ideas we threw out (she was also gently honest when something we proposed was a bad idea or would be overkill, which I really appreciated). After that initial meeting, she went to work putting together inspiration boards for linens, flowers, and other decor that perfectly wove together both of her input and ours, which was impressive because we didn't even realize we knew what we wanted. She also understood what a busy and overwhelming time it was for us and worked independently with Jen to nail down a lot of the logistics. On the day of, everything went seamlessly and was perfect. She dropped the ladies' bouquets in a hotel in Nob Hill, put together stunning displays at our ceremony site in Golden Gate Park, and then headed to Cole Valley to transform Zazie into the perfect reception venue for us without ever seeming to break a sweat.
