Came out quickly to provide a quote (it was a Thursday) and Alvaro scheduled the work for that Saturday. Quote was extremely reasonable. Alvaro responded to my request for a quote for tree pruning quickly, and scheduled a visit to see my property within the week (masked, and distanced, of course). He gave the best price and schedule options (which got backed up because of weather, but that's not his fault, and his communication during the delay was great) of the 4 companies I spoke with. He explained how much they could cut away on each tree so it wouldn't kill the tree, and gave me a verbal estimate, and followed up in email the next day so it was in writing. A crew of 4 came out to cut 2 giant maples away from my house, and on site that morning, they agreed to a third tree that I hadn't realized was a problem until that day, again for a fair price. The crew was kind, efficient, respectful of my neighbors' property, and very very good at their jobs. They moved my patio furniture around so nothing fell on it, and they cleaned up my yard and the common areas so well that the HOA had nothing to complain about afterwards (and they looked for a reason, believe me). I needed a tree in my front yard removed. It seems half dead and its big brunches broke and were hanging due to strong wind. The tree seems to become a danger in the future, so I asked estimate from Absolute Tree, which I used two years ago to remove a huge oak tree and pruning other trees. (all cost about $5000 up) They quoted almost $900 to remove the tree this time. Being used to their pricing, I was going to go forward with them, but I saw Lopez' review and contacted him for a quote. His business is very casual and quick. He didn't make me wait for a few days before issuing an official looking estimate like Absolute Tree does. Rather, he and I just texted each other, he went to see my tree on the same day, texted me back with his quote, I agreed, and he did the job right on the same day while I was in office without any hustle. Then after everything is done, it was about three days after he asked me pay over the phone. It was as if he wanted to make sure that I am happy with his work for a few days. The amount is exactly same as the quote that he gave me on the text. I thought he is very reliable. He sent me the receipt via text. The best thing is that he got the job well done by $375. I don't even know where to start, they were so fantastic!! We had a crazy storm "burst" go through our yard Monday night doing alot of tree damage. We called them Tuesday morning and they came out within 1 1/2 - 2 hours from the time I called and gave me a very reasonable estimate. After getting a 2nd estimate, I went with Lopez and called them that afternoon and they scheduled me for the very next day. The guys showed up first thing this morning and did the most AMAZING, WONDERFUL, GENIUS job! They removed a dead tree that had to be close to 80' - 100' tall, and I was floored by the geniusness of how they got it down. Wow!! They cleaned all the debris up and even removed our solar garden lighting so it didn't get crushed (they were even gonna put it back in for me, i told them they worked hard enough, i got it!) And we had another, smaller tree, that was leaning against a healthy tree. I've never given a Yelp review before, but my experience today with Lopez Tree Services has motivated me to do so. Alvaro, one of the owners, came and gave an estimate. He was punctual, straightforward, and honest. His price was very competitive and he was happy to show his license and insurance when we requested it. While other companies determined that they would need a large crane to remove the trees (and thus charge much more), Lopez and his crew used ropes. The crew did a fantastic job removing two trees in a very tight space between row houses and decks (and around wires) and completed the work by 2 PM. Lopez Tree Services just removed a huge double-trunk oak from my backyard today, and I couldn't be happier with the service. The tree was in decline, most of the limbs were hanging directly over our roof, and it was *extremely* close to the house (one of the trunks was only about a foot from the roofline). Alvaro Lopez came over to look at it within a couple of days after I called. He emailed me a detailed estimate that was a lot less than I expected, but I still had questions about equipment placement and pedestrian safety, so he came back the next day to explain specifically how everything would be done. We were able to schedule the work for the following week. This was a big job that required a crane to lift the limbs and trunk sections out from the backyard to the street. We had a crew of 7, I think, including the crane operator. They showed up on time, and Mr. Lopez was also there at the beginning to make sure everything was good to go. The team worked quickly and precisely. They were very professional and helpful. When the Amazon driver couldn't get past the gauntlet of tree equipment and debris, one of the guys made sure the package got to our front porch. They took care to protect our yard from damage from the heavy crane and the stump grinder. They cleaned up everything beautifully down to the last flake of sawdust, not just in our yard but also the bits that landed next door. I cannot recommend highly enough Lopez Tree Services and Alvaro. Alvaro came out and gave us an estimate at an excellent price compared to three other services we had inspect our yard. We had a tree that was struck by lightning that had to be removed, along with a fairly large oak stump near our house that needed to be ground. Alvaro and his crew did an excellent job grinding the stump, covering the leftover space with soil, removing the dead tree, and planting a new tree. They cleaned up all of the wood chips, moved some large stones that had surrounded the stump, and even replanted some small plants that had been around the dead tree. His team was very efficient - they finished in around three hours, and did an outstanding job cleaning. We are quite happy with the work, and two of our neighbors came by to complement the work and asked who we used within two hours of them finishing. read more

I called Alvaro (owner) and he did reach out to me when agreed and worked with me to earn my business. I requested 6 bids. His was not the cheapest, but for me, was the most reasonable based on the scope of work. My job wasn't going to be small either. I got 6 large trees removed including stump grinding and some pruning. They're an impressive crew. Everything was done in 1 day. I would give them 10 stars if I could. I now have peace of mind. They left my front yard looking impeccable. They used a crane for a heavy poplar tree. Alvaro is personable and he and his crew know what they're doing. He only suggested work that he himself would recommend for his house and comfort. I didn't feel like I was getting scammed and got a variety of bids to compare. Alvaro does get lots of requests for estimates, so I would recommend following up if you don't hear back the first time, I certainly don't regret it. He stuck to the agreement. Alvaro and his crew did a fantastic job! We had two huge dead trees in our yard that needed to come down, and Alvaro came out to quote me within 24 hours of talking on the phone. The price was reasonable to begin with, but we were able to negotiate it down to be extremely competitive. We were worried because the two trees were very dead, and one was near power lines. The crew showed up on time with 5 guys, and were done with two trees (70+ feet tall, each) in about six hours. They cut up the logs and stacked them into firewood, and left our yard extremely neat with no damage done. We had a tree partially fall on our house and it was at risk of coming all the way down and taking out our deck and Hot Tub. Of the three vendors we contacted, Lopez Tree Service was the only one who came out the day we called. The other two waited until morning even though we told them this massive tree was only being held up by a much smaller tree. After we received all three quotes, Lopez had the best price. Even though he already had another job scheduled for the next day, he worked it out so he could get us in as he recognized our emergency. His crew showed up promptly and worked very hard. They took extra care to avoid damage to our lawn and sprinkler system as they brought in a massive crane to lift the tree off the house. Their operation was very safety minded as they wore appropriate protective gear and they cleaned up everything even better than it was before the tree came down. Amazingly, there was no damage to our house or deck! I requested a certificate of Insurance because the tree was very large (70ft tall) and close to both my house and the neighbors, which he immediately provided.
