I requested a quote for some service at my home and Alvaro was one of the first to reply. He was very attentive and quick to respond to any of our inquiries. The quote he provided was certainly in line or better than some of the others I received and he followed through with near perfection. Absolutely perfect work! Had a small tree (about 15 ft) that I wanted taken out and then a dozen limbs taken off of a very tall tree. I found Lopez Tree Service on yelp and based on the good reviews I invited them over to give me an estimate. Alberto arrived the next morning right on time and we talked about what I wanted. He offered me a terrific price and, as his crew was close by on another job and didn't have anything lined up for the afternoon, same day service! I agreed on the spot. A few hours later Alberto and his crew arrived (and I always like it when the guy you make the deal with shows up with the crew) and got right to work. They had the small tree cut down to the stump and put through the chipper in ten minutes flat! I was amazed! Then they ran up the ropes on my tall tree, the one guy put on his climbing gear, and they got to work on the pruning. I just pointed to the branches I wanted cut down and he cut them and lowered them down on ropes. I got exactly what I wanted. But in addition to the excellent price, service, and top quality job, I was super impressed with the cleanup! They did a truly five-star job policing up all brush, leaves, and sticks, shoveling it into the truck, and then going over everything with blowers. When they left you'd never have known they were ever there! One of my neighbors was so impressed he made a deal with Lopez Tree Service on the spot to come back a few days later and take out one of his trees! I contacted this company about three weeks ago to request a quote to plant fruit trees in my backyard. Got an email almost immediately and was scheduled for the very next day, That same night someone name Katie called me and went over different options and varieties for each tree. This initial communication lasted about half an hour. Then she said since Mr. Lopez cannot speak English they have to re-schedule and find a time when he, Katie and a translator (!!) can all come at the same time. In the meanwhile she would do a research to see how we should plan the whole thing. I waited a couple more weeks and didn't hear back from them until today, she said my request to have fruit trees was very unusual (WTH? Unusual?!!) and that they have never done that before. When I wrote back to her saying I had other companies coming over and gave me estimates promptly and in a timely manner she rudely replied back and said: "yes, I would call that "unusual" because most, but not all, of our requests are for one to two different varieties. (Possibly "unusual" was a poor choice of words". "We hope that one of the companies that gave you estimates in a timely manner will do your job" And: "However, because you are obviously unhappy with our scheduling, we have removed you from our calendar" I just wouldn't hire a company that has no experience, no professionalism and no respect to come and do my backyard. Mr. Lopez was very nice from the start and had very competitive pricing ( I had gotten estimates from several other companies). I was able to schedule him next day to get my tree cut down. His staff was professional and showed up 15 minutes before scheduled arrival. They cut down a huge tree that was very close to the fence line and my neighbors garage in about 3 1/2 hours. They were fast, efficent and most of all safe. They took much care to rope off all branches to not disturbe surrounding area. They even stacked logs that they already dropped to help absorb damage to yard by other limbs that were falling. They cleaned up the yard so good they even cleaned up some debries I had from other yard work that I had done. Katie at the office was very nice and took care of me. Not sure what that other customer complained about Mr. Lopez not speaking english. His accent was a little thick but I was able to communicate with him and his staff perfectly fine. Fantastic service - had a difficult experience with one of Mr. Lopez's competitors that dragged on for weeks with no results at all. We made one last ditch effort in calling Lopez Tree service on a Friday afternoon. He came Saturday morning to assess the situation and give an estimate, and was back Monday morning to complete the job. Mr. Lopez was friendly, low pressure, and responsive throughout. I don't have much experience with pricing for tree services, but his charges seemed fair and I never felt that he was trying to oversell. Great experience on all counts. read more

I sent them pictures of what I wanted removed and they agreed to come by and look at it while I was out of town. I got the estimate back and there had been some confusion about exactly what I needed done. No problem, I called them back and they came out the same day and sorted it out. My husband and Lopez did a walk through towards the end of the job and addressed our concerns if anything was amiss or forgotten or something that just did not look right. Like many others, following March's wind storm, we had a number of older trees that needed to be removed from our property. I called Lopez Tree Services and they came immediately to offer a quote--which was extremely competitive, much less than other companies had quoted us. They came to remove the trees two days later--which was fast service, considering the high demand at the time--and did it very quickly and efficiently. All of the workers were highly professional and friendly, and we appreciated their attention to detail; they did a great job making sure that the leftover stumps weren't hideously ugly. Immediate quote, working with me on the price and a payment plan, removal of many limbs from very large trees and meticulous cleanup...a complete package done with integrity. I got a few different opinions on what to do with a lightening damaged and partially insect-plagued poplar tree on the side of our property straddling the line with our neighbors. I had a choice between removing some branches and having a lopsided and still damaged tree or getting the whole thing taken down. Alvaro assessed the tree and recommended that we remove it. We ended up being swayed and they brought in a crane to remove the poplar, and scaled and sawed down a dead Locust tree. They had the poplar and locust trees both down by 3pm after starting at 8. The poplar tree clearly had very deep damage once we saw the rings as it was being sawed down, so we felt like we made the right choice. Even with ten people on site, including three in trees, a crane, a wood chipper, and several trucks, the price was very reasonable. They even trimmed down a bunch of shrub stumps and took away a couple small brush piles. They also talked to my elderly neighbor when she came out to take a look at what was going on. I solicited bids to remove 3 large and about 15 small to medium Ash trees that had been killed by Emerald Ash borers and to trim 10 Silver Oaks. All the companies I contacted held 5 star averages on Yelp. Lopez Tree Service was the most competitive price I received. The contract included grinding stumps of the larger trees and removing all wood and branches because the Ash borer thrives in cut down Ash trees left as firewood. The crew did a great job very quickly and professionally and had the work done with the yard cleaned and picked up in a few hours. Later when I noticed some dead branches in two of the trees that were trimmed I contacted Alvaro's office manager Katie to get him a message. Two members of the crew returned without hesitation and spent 2 hours making sure the dead wood was removed from the trees and from the yard. Great service, real honesty, and absolute customer satisfaction are keystones of this company; and all at highly competitive prices. With the wind storm that occurred I had a pretty large tree that came down onto my deck. I called Lopez Tree Service and he was out to the house within 2 hours to give me an estimate.
