DEFINITELY one of the best, if not the best winery in Temecula. Joined as a member once we tried their wines. The wines are well aged and ready to drink before they release them. I can't remember trying one of their wines and not enjoying it. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. We are always greeted with a friendly smile and a sense of family welcomeness. I challenged staff with the task of "give me a glass of something that will make me buy the bottle." I was sized up, and I was brought a wonderful glass of dark purpleness. The wonderful aroma, and silkiness of the wine brought out the blackberries, dark cherries, cinnamon, cola and leathery flavors of the wine. All I can say, " is yum." Of course, we got a bottle. Next time we came back, the bottle was off the menu. I asked if they still have any left. They had a few, and fortunately we were able to get another. We love this place. We see why most of their wines are rated 90+. read more

Delicious wine! If you prefer a winery without the pomp and circumstance this place is for you. As soon as we walked in the tasting room we were warmly greeted and assured that every glass would be a delightful treat. They have a beautiful shaded patio with a view of the vineyards that we plan to enjoy on our next visit. This was our first visit and we walked out with a purchase of 4 bottles. We visited Lorenzi Estate Winery last weekend after a couple of failed attempts at wine tasting there. The first time we went we were warmly greeted and welcomed by the owner, Brenda. She chatted with us a few minutes and gave us a taste of their Bellini, which was very good. We told her we were there for a tasting and she showed us to a table on their cute outside patio. We then waited a long time for someone to acknowledge us, but by the time they came to our table they told us that they had stopped doing tastings for the day. I wish they had come to our table sooner because we would've been able to have a tasting with plenty of time to spare. We liked Brenda enough to try again the following weekend, but then they were having a private event. We came back to purchase a bottle of the Bellini we had tried previously. Finally, last weekend we were there for a tasting. Our server was a nice guy, but was very slow to come around. I think we were there almost 2 hours. They have good red wines, but not the best we have tried, and since the service wasn't consistent, we decided not to join their wine club. read more

This is our favorite wine in Temecula. If you like big, Napa style, reds, this is definitely your place. The property/view is beautiful, and not a circus atmosphere. A tranquil atmosphere, the owner/winemaker is often onsite and talks with visitors. A perk when you taste at the winery is that you are seated and a friendly and knowledgeable server takes you through the wines. No jockeying for position at a crowded bar to get another taste. We live less than 10 minutes from the winery and always take friends when they visit. Oh, and they generally have live music on Sundays which adds to the relaxing ambiance. Very nice staff, beautiful views, very generous pours, and the red wine is very good. I do wish the wines were a bit less tannic. I've not had wines this tannic in Temecula before. They would benefit from cellaring a bit more, but overall delicious. Great winery! I was referred to this place by another fantastic Temecula winery I'm a member of and had to check it out. It's on the smaller side so reservations are recommended. The views from the outdoor tables looking over the vineyard are phenomenal... The service is excellent Let's get to the wines... My palette has changed over the years to the point where I just don't prefer Temecula reds... I think it's the soil.. I was a little skeptical initially because 90% of the wines they carry are reds... After trying the sauv blanc (a white wine) we were treated to a large sampling of their reds. Stopped here for a tasting in March, 2026. We were assisted by Cole who did a fabulous job explaining not only the history of the vineyards but also all of the wines. The wines were all quite tasty with my personal favorites being the Pinot Noit and the red blend that was heavy on the Cab Franc. Would definitely stop there again!!! read more

My experience with the tasting, was a really good experience I learned a lot about the history of the winery and how they produce their wines and very small batches aged in French Oak, according to them, they only used their barrels twice then they sell them off. This can explain why their wine is so smooth no harshness whatsoever. I also had another experience where I left my credit card at at the winery not to find out that I had loss it a few days later. I remember using it at the winery I contacted them and yes, they did have it and they mailed it back to me. I really appreciate their customer service. I recommend going there it just off the main road. It is a very comfortable place to do wine tasting. You don't have to sit at a bar you can sit outside and enjoy the vineyard. read more

This winery was down the street from where we were staying so my mom, sis and niece decided we needed to treat ourselves to a little wine tasting! I mean we are in wine country, we might as well. We were greeted right away, sat down at the bar and Cole was our server for the tasting. He explained the wines, gave us a little background of the winery and told us that this was a co-ownership winery of a husband and wife. The wines are only sold at the winery and you can choose from two sizes. My mom and niece both got the flight of wines to taste, whereas my sis and I got a glass of wine. Now before you commit to that one glass, he let me sample it first. It was smooth, a little sweet but definitely subtle on your pallet. The glass I committed to was a mixture of cab and syrian called dark places. If you're in the area and wanting to try a family owned winery, this is the spot to come to. A member took me here to celebrate my birthday and I was very impressed. The service is great, the view is beautiful, even the smell of the flowers is a wonderful addition to the ambiance. The wine is really good. I'm not a fan of white wine but enjoyed drinking one here. I also tend to lean towards Cabernet Sauvignon but took home something completely different. We have been searching for an intimate winery that makes outstanding wine and the people behind the label are passionate about their wines they create. Only 2.5 miles from our house sits Lorenzi Estate Vineyards. No bridal parties, no gals with boots and tiaras, no party buses and no loud music. Just serious oenophiles enjoying outstanding juice in a relaxed environment. Our visit included tasting through 8-10 of their wines, introduction of staff and one of the owners and about 3 hours of pure enjoyment. Our day ended with us becoming part of their wine family. The site is gorgeous, restrooms that deserve to be photographed and a winemaker that continues to strive for perfection. And let's not leave out our fantastic wine educator, Tammy. She was friendly, engaging and knew her stuff. I had almost given up on Temecula wineries until our visit to Lorenzi Estate Vineyards. We have literally visited hundreds of wineries throughout the world so for this little slice of paradise to standout is enough reason to visit. Visiting from out of town and staying in Escondido. Went for an afternoon wine tasting with friends who live San Diego who picked this winery and I had a very enjoyable time. The service was warm and friendly, and the tasting was in the outdoor patio in the back with a good view overlooking the property. We ended up buying a couple if bottles of 2020 Dark Places Reserve, which was a full bodied, tasty red blend. Great introduction to wines of Temecula and will remember this place the next time we're back in the area. read more

Nice smaller winery in Temecula. I've been drawn to the smaller wineries where they take pride in their wines, and Lorenzi is very proud of their wines. There are multiple tastings offered, and their grounds are pretty and intimate. This is a place to enjoy the wine, so if you're looking for a place to hit on the party busses, this might be the wrong spot. The wines are decent. We particularly enjoyed the Can Franc (and left with a few bottles). The rest of the wines were nice, although I didn't find them as noteworthy (of course, this is largely personal preference). Didn't particularly care for the push to upsell, but it was nice that the staff was knowledgeable about their wines. read more

Don Lorenzi pays attention to detail, he only uses French oak , and personally pays attention to the perfect timing when harvesting the grapes. Don has an impeccable palette for making fine wine! I hope you have the pleasure of meeting Brenda Lorenzi (Dons wife) she is so charming, and personable, truly a lovely hostess. The staff is well educated on what's being served, they have tales to share about the wines, and get to know your palette, trying there best to find something you will enjoy (which isn't hard at Lorenzi! The wine server (I didn't catch his name) was friendly, knowledgeable, and had a personality that reminded me of a character from " The Hangover" fun, energetic, and made the whole experience even more entertaining. We had a great time sipping wine, sharing laughs, and engaging in meaningful conversation. It's the kind of place where you can sit back, relax, and really connect with the wine, the people, and the moment. Very exclusive, moderately priced wines that are almost all blended with certain thematic approach to wine made from four to seven different varieties of grapes that are boldly represented by the unique names attached to these interesting wines. I enjoyed the intimate setting of the beautiful vineyard and attentive service. The wine we tried were definitely delicious and different. The prices ranged from $75 - $190 per bottle. I liked Adam and Eve but several others liked NAPA Cabernet Sauvignon with $190 tag on it. I'm sure they were persuaded by the artificially inflated price tag! read more

We have been to many wineries in the Temecula Valley and we base our decision to return on two things: 1) is the service good? In other words, are we made to feel welcome and wanted? And 2) the wine; is it good consistently, year after year? For Lorenzi Winery, the answer to both these questions is a resounding YES. First off, the people who work there are incredible (this includes the servers AND the owners). They not only know a lot about wine, but they treat everyone (members and first time customers) with respect and make you excited to be there. Customer service is the #1 deciding factor on if we'll return to a business, and Lorenzi is one of the rare places where no matter who pours your wine, you'll have a great experience. And then there is the wine. We love wine and have been to Paso and Sonoma and have enjoyed many a bottle. However, Lorenzi's wines are some of the best around, hands down. The owner/wine maker prides himself on attention to detail and does not compromise on making the best wines and he never disappoint. They specialize in reds, but oftentimes have a white or two available including an amazing sparkling. We love reds and their reds are absolutely incredible. In addition, the winery itself is beautiful. It's smaller and more intimate than some of the other wineries around, and this lends to a more personalized and educational experience. You'll learn about the wines from the amazing staff and you'll get a beautiful view of the vines as you enjoy some of the best wines you've ever had. The absolute best experience in Temecula! I went with a few of my girlfriends and had the best time out of all the other places we went to that weekend. The service was impeccable. I wish I could remember his name, but the man who helped us was so knowledgable and passionate about the vineyards and the wines. He answered all of our questions and was just so kind. The place itself was beautiful, with gorgeous views over the vineyard. It was sunny and getting rather hot, but they made sure we had enough shade with the umbrellas, and I never felt overheated. Last Sunday, on what was a very rainy day, the Mrs. and I decided to do some wine tasting on our way home from Borrego Springs. It had probably been about ten years since we last tasted in the Temecula area. Frankly, I had moved on from Temecula wines. My last experience tasting in the area was disappointing. The Mrs. chose Lorenzi Estate Vineyards and Winery based upon Yelp. Lorenzi is a small family owned winery. Not one of those commercial monstrosities that got Rancho California Road. We arrived around 10 a.m. and the rain was steady falling. We were seated at a small table for two outside underneath a gazebo. Heaters kept us warm as we looked out over the vineyards draped in a misty curtain. Our tasting was perfectly paced. We started off with the Estate Chardonnay which was good. Not a giant oak bomb like most Chardonnays tend to be. Then we moved on to the reds and my whole attitude towards Temecula wines started to change. Each wine we had has well crafted and had character. Not the flabby drink it now or it will turn to salad dressing wines I remember coming out of Temecula. We ended up walking out with a bottle of the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2017 IL Vento. The service we received from the young man who was pouring for us was incredible. he let us tan our time and we ended up spending a good to hours enjoying the wine and atmosphere. read more

Our first visit here, my husband and I had a fabulous time talking with one of the owners and really enjoyed sampling the wines. She was incredible and we couldn't wait to come back. A month later, we returned a second time and our table was serviced by an older gentlemen. The tasting was impersonal, rushed, pours were sloppy and very little information was shared about the wines during his brief visits to the table. We ended up listening to another employee waiting on the table next to us to learn more about the wines. We even had to ask him to clarify a few things with the tasting. In the 3 questions we asked him, he provided much better service than the joker working our table did the entire time we were there. We were going to buy a few more bottles of a red that we got last time but we left empty handed and very disappointed that our two experiences here were vastly different. We unfortunately won't be back any time soon. Too many wineries to visit in the area to drop $100+ and leave feeling like you were more of an inconvenience than a guest. read more

Tucked away and located far from the main road, Lorenzi is a smaller winery that's peaceful and almost private. We went here using the Sip and Savor pass which was slightly different compared to what other wineries offered. Instead of choosing wines from a large selection, they had a designated wine tasting flight with 5 one oz glasses (as opposed to 6 at other wineries). It wasn't my favorite but still a great place to stop by if you like what's on the menu. The worker was also very kind and attentive during our visit. read more
